Throwback: There is nothing disingenuous about a rational opinion I made, while stressing then as I have still stressed now that it is good this was done to a notable personality as it is being done to regular passengers, so that it gets the attention it deserves.
You wrong a passenger by delaying his feeder flight such that he misses the connecting flight despite a 30min window of possible boarding. Then he should still pay you a No-Show fee for the missed flight that you caused?
Why the airline will want to cheat a passenger who has the clout to fight back is quite absurd.
Why regular Nigerians who suffer same treatment and lament their powerlessness to fight for their trampled right, but now suddenly take a fellow passenger as the villain because he is royalty is the reason why I never worry too much about the lamentations of the poor.
The facts of the matter was already laid bare in the report, yet most are telling the passenger who is the victim to go fly his own private jet and quit disturbing the peace of those who will fruitlessly lament the same situation if such had happened to them. Nobody should be confused by your veiled appeal to the welfare of airline passengers in Nigeria. You're fully in support of the nepotism of the emir in this instance-- his people are in charge of NCAA, so he thinks that he can retaliate against Onyema for not granting his personal request for favors. Airline passengers file grievances about their experience all the time, but this is high handed, tribalistic, and ethically motivated attempt to reap where he didn't sow. He called his cousin in NCAA, next he will call Buhari! Imagine for a minute that you dealing with any of the international airlines, Lufthansa, KLM, or Delta. "Yes, is this Mr. Ed Bastian, CEO Oof Delta?. Ed: yes, how can I help you? Emir: I am emir of Kano, and the Delta airline crew refused to delay the flight for just 30 minutes so that my 10 man strong entourage can get to our destination on time. Ed: Are you kidding me? Emir: No, you must punish them, and make them wait for me, I am royalty, you know, a blue blood, a sacred cow! Ed: Definitely not Mr. Emir, we don't do that here at Delta. Emir: I will write NCAA so that you will be punished for disrespecting me." Imagine this conversation, and if you can't imagine it on Delta airlines, why apply it to Peace Airways? Like the Indians would say: The sacred cows make the juiciest hamburgers. Nigerians need to start making hamburgers out of their sacred cows, that's the only need we have of them, not retard our progress as a nation. |

Throwback: Dude, this matter should have been settled in favour of the 10 customers at levels way below the Chairman Allen Onyema.
There is nothing new to Airlines delaying a flight that serves as a connection flight for passengers who have suffered delay on the feeder flight due to the same airline.
In this case as reported, there was a 30mins window that could have allowed the 10 passengers make the flight even when the gate had been closed.
I like that this was done to a notable personality and that it is being taken up to the right channels, so that the positive resolution can be of benefit to all passengers who suffer for the failures of the airlines. So disingenuous for you to start with bating for the emir, and now you are sounding like you just want to improve airline services in Nigeria. Make no mistake about this, airline services can and should be improved, no doubt, but that's not been your contention. If you bend the rules for 10 blue bloods on the plane, what about the more than 100 other passengers who would also like to get to their destination on time? Even for the stupid emir to call the chairman of the airline who doesn't have direct control of itineraries, schedule, and flights is the height of nepotism. Oh, I forgot Buhari and his Fulani brothers think everyone is their slave in Nigeria. |

Maxymilliano: Kabo Air, IRS Airline, Mangal Air, and Chanchangi Air are all grounded due to favoritism and attitude of northern oligarchy class. Yes, the same group of "respected traditional rulers " ensure that airlines, starting from Nigerian airways was always run to the ground. From demanding free services to hajj, to demanding first consideration of their families and friends, to asking for scheduled flights to be delayed for them without minding other passengers or economic impact on the companies, these rulers, especially Fulani masters of Nigeria think everybody in Nigeria is their slave. |

FreeStuffsNG: These conversations mostly hold in Èdè Yorùbá, a serious media house should send competent reporters to cover the consultations of Asiwaju Tinubu in the SW like foreign media will do. A Foreigner and foreign media house will not be this mediocre.
Sending a John Owen Nwachukwu to cover, translate and report this kind of ijinle Yoruba conversation is preposterous and tells you how mediocre Daily Post is. Daily Post is a very trashy and mediocre media platform. There is nothing Nwachukwu wrote there in the report that is a correct translation of those Yoruba expressions.
A non-Yoruba and non-native speaker of Èdè Yorùbá will never be able to translate these sentences verbatim/literally or at best will struggle to cover, translate to English and report these Èdè Yorùbá conversations during the consultations of Asiwaju Tinubu in this heart of the SW.
I see the reporter giving literal English translations and misinforming readers. I read the headline and I immediately understood what Asiwaju Tinubu said and how he said it because I am a native who speak Èdè Yorùbá.
It is just like the misinterpretation given to the blessings of Alaafin to Asiwaju. The non-Yoruba who reported it distorted the blessings the Alaafin pronounced on Asiwaju Tinubu in Yoruba to literally mean that Yoruba Ancestors will vote. The non-Yoruba ,non-native speakers and the reporter who translated it to English did not understand what Alaafin pronounced so the reporter made a complete fool of the mediocre media house he works for and the joke was on him.
This is another horribly wrong translation and mediocre report once again. Here's free book on business ideas & money sources directory for you,it's 100% free! https://www.nairaland.com/6666800/looking-business-ideas-money-fund. Cheers. John Nwachukwu must be Igbo? Correct! Another opportunity to blame an Igbo for the failure of Yoruba. A beg tell us when you are going to explain how Igbos made Tinubu pee pee and wee wee on himself at the oba's palace. |

If the answer is no, then face his followers and leave him alone. Has GEJ or Buhari ever mocked Tinubu for peeing and pooping on himself? If the answer is no, then leave the followers to do what they do do best, don't CRY. |

I don't like Tinubu just like I don't like all Naija politicians but making mockery of him for having a medical condition if indeed he has one is wrong in ramifications.
A wise person should pray to grow old and at least live to get to Tinubu's age in this present world full of sickness.
Politics should not rob Nigerians of common sense. Intelligent by half! Where were you when his followers were lampooning GEJ for alcoholism, and Buhari for being a dead man walking. Right now, Tinubu is falling, peeing and pooping all over himself, and you want people to accord him the respect he never gave others? Come up with something better, abeg. |

Tinubu peed on his body in Oba's palace in Yoruba land where there was no Igboman present instead of Yoruba people to cover up Tinubu's shame they leaked the video to the general public and you dare call Igbo into his mess. Tinubu was betrayed by his own people. Someone said it's forbidden to pee in the Oba's palace. Let's see what the gods will do. |
