Deception unlimited!
We remember the guy who came into office to fight corruption, and ended up surrounding himself with the most corrupt people ever.

"I am for no one, but for all" while filling all positions with his people alone.

He does exactly opposite of what he says. Watch him!

PoliticsRe: Muhammad Magaji Begs Southern States On VAT, Says Let’s Be Our Brothers' Keeper by eagleu: 12:10am On Sep 09, 2021
Modrov:
The elephant in the room is that most governors do not want to be forced to face the reality...that their tax to gdp ratio is low, and that in order to surivive sans vat...they would have to increase taxes and impose taxes on everyone....not just the 30% nationwide of taxable that pay taxes.

That's why Gombe is begging Rivers.

If many Northern governors are forced to enforce taxation on the masses of people who don't pay because 'poverty'..it could spark unrest , and could lead to them all losing their jobs via election. (And the same thing goes for many Southern governors...including Wike ....because VAT revenues per state are not going to be enough)

Tax to gdp ratios in most states are as low as 1-2%. Even the VAT is being used by Southern governors as a means to prevent themselves from taxing the majority of their people who don't pay tax.
Taxation is the ultimate test of democracy.
If people agree with the government, they pay, if they don't, they refuse to pay.

Taxation is also the most reliable estimate of population, not voting cards.

States created out of military favoritism like Gombe that has no fiscal roots needs to disappear or get civilized in order to attract and retain citizens who can build the state, not impose uneconomic religious laws here and there.

Apart from a harsh military conquest on the short term, and enslaving the majority tax paying citizens, there's no way Buhari religious, military, and economic persecution of the south will be sustained on the long run.
PoliticsRe: 4 Important Things Igbos Should Know Ahead Of President Buhari's Visit... (pic) by eagleu: 12:38pm On Sep 08, 2021
michael77777:
Its no longer news that the President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari will be paying a visit to Imo State on Thursday Sept. 9, to commission some significant projects. The news was disclosed by Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State on Saturday when he came back from Abuja to Imo State through the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport, Owerri.

In view of the President's arrival, many Imolites and other Igbos have been reacting to the upcoming visit with critcisms with some people asking for the essence of the President's visit since he has not been in the region for a very long time. While some people have commended the President for the visit.

In this article, I will explain 4 important things the Igbos should note ahead of the President's visit.

President Buhari never hated the Igbos for any reason.

Just like the infamous saying by the Igbos that the region is marginalized and that the President doesn't respect federal character, the Igbos should note that the President also appointed many Igbos into his administration since 2015.

Recall that the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria is an Igbo Delta who was appointed by the past administration of President Goodluck Jonathan in 2014 but he is still serving as the CBN Gov. till date. Others are the Director of National Centre for Disease Control, Chikwe Ihekwazu, who is an Igbo man. These appointments and many others show his love and care towards the Igbos. The East-West road, 2nd Niger bridge, govt grants and many others have been among the many developmental projects the President has directed to be done to the region.

President Buhari respects the Igbos a lot.

Recall that with the advent of Covid-19 in 2020 and till now, there have been travel restrictions in Nigeria and other parts of the world so as to avoid further spread of the virus.

Recently, the Covid-19 lockdown was eased by the Covid-19 committee,so President Buhari deemed it fit to come and commission some projects in Imo State. That shows total respect and love for the Igbos in general.

The Igbos should present the Biafra issues to the President.

With the upcoming visit of the President, it has afforded the Igbos the ample opportunity to present the Biafra agitation issues to him inorder to rectify the the problem. It will also afford the Igbos the opportunity to remind him of the 2014 confab where representatives of different tribes, religions, states, government and individuals assembled to discuss and come to round table conclusions of different issues bothering them in the country. With Buhari's visit, the Igbos should table their issues to him and possibly find answers or solutions from him.

The Igbos should not engage in any form of demostration or sit-at-home order on Thursday.

No matter what the grievances of the Igbos are, they should never engage in any form of violent demostration or even declare sit-at-home order. Infact, they should come out en masse to welcome the President and his entourage to the State.

This will show how responsible they are. It will also show that they respect the personality of the President.

With all these in place, the Igbos stand to gain valuable conversations with the President and possibly resolve some issues bothering them and their region at large.

What do you make of these Important ideas that the Igbos should adopt? Do you see it as a step in the right direction?
You are sick to mention Dr. Ihekweazu of NCDC as one of Buhari's achievements. Buhari who has since fired Ihekweazu a d replaced him with a less qualified muslim?

Campaign of lies fools nobody.
PoliticsRe: What Is The Solution To Jos Crisis? by eagleu: 4:20am On Aug 31, 2021
dalongjnr:
How? I'm not understanding!
I can tell you that there's no correlation between politics of Jos north and jos crisis.
1. 2001,2003 and 2006 are religious crisis. Same applicable to wase crises and yelwan shendam. Where churches were burn, Christians killed, with their communities vandalized.
2. Jihad and conquest agenda. After the failure of the jihad movement to conquer the heart of Jos, they now used the Fulani herdsmen by giving them money, guns and logistic support to continue with the jihad and conquest agendas,by blindfolding them with religion and manipulating their ignorance in order to be used as a killing machinery to conquer Plateau state.
Now,the population growth of the Muslim communities is exponential while, the indigenous people are been killed by the jihad movement in order to subdue and conquer the indigenous people and their land.
3.lack of political will to act on various white papers on the Jos crisis.
On four occasions, judicial commission of enquiry was set from 1991-2008.
The Luke Enefo Commission of Inquiry into the Tudun Wada and Kabong crises of 1991, as well as the Luke Enefo Commission of Enquiry into the 1994 Jos crises, the Justice Niki Tobi Commission of Inquiry into the 2001 Jos crises,
The justice Bola Ajibola commission of inquiry on 2008 Jos crises.
See ah, forget it. I have all these white papers but they are yet to be released completely for public consumptions.
I'm a plateau patriot and we will not rest until we fight to get Justice for our people and our land. You guys think that our problems start yesterday but no! It's over 3 decades old.
Correct!
Unfortunately, the killing of Christians in Jos goes back much futher.
The Hausa Fulani muslims had a practice run on how to kill Christians and get away with it by killing Igbos.
Then, they recruited native Plateau people to help them kill Igbos, they obliged.
Now, Igbos are no longer the problem, and the real problem all along is suddenly staring us in the face.
Gowon, Danjuma, Useni and other Fulani slaves will be so proud!

garfield1:
True but there must be a compromise.maybe, they should divide jos north lga
Already done!
Bauchi was first created for the Muslim majority area of Benue Plateau.
It wasn't enough for the blood thirsty muslims.
Then Nasarawa state was created and handed over to the few Fulani families running the show around Keffi, yet no peace.
Even IBB created the so called plateau north senatorial district for the Hausa visitors who now claim to own the land.
Gbom Gwom Jos has been sidelined, silenced, and crippled by the government, because he refused to convert to Islam.

Go watch the 1960s video where the sultan was admonishing newly arriving Hausa Fulanis to the nice and respectful of their Christian hosts, and you will understand how far the cancer has spread.
