Lollz 7am... u aren't even awake for breakfast? I smell massive laziness. That detail shouldn't make social media. Prepare something at night, that can be microwaved, with warm water in a flask. This is very contradictory ...... "If I wasn't in my mid 30's and if I hadn't done fibroid operation and so, eager to take in, I won't have made this terrible mistake. We also work in the same place so everything seemed perfect." As for the man, I cannot judge him until I hear his part of the story. I have seen many women like this, and they are parmenently unhappy. Filled with excuses, complaints and lack of self responsibility. NOBODY IS RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR HAPPINESS. Leave that marriage immediately. Since you have more than enough reasons to do so. . . . Elesta: Hello family, I have a long post about my terrible marriage. Please bear with me, I just have to pour everything out because it's killing me slowly. I am in my mid 30's ,got married to this man in his mid 40's who has never been married before. We attend the same church although different branches, so the pastor of his branch and the pastor of my branch brought us together. We started dating and he seemed head over heels and started talking about marriage immediately. At first, the way he was talking and his reaction to things I wasn't interested and I even told him, but he begged me and the pastor begged me so I overlooked and continued especially considering my age. If I wasn't in my mid 30's and if I hadn't done fibroid operation and so, eager to take in, I won't have made this terrible mistake. We also work in the same place so everything seemed perfect.
Now we started making wedding plans just after one month of dating and we got married 4months after because of church process. It seemed blissful but I stumbled on his messages with a lady he was saying before me and eventually at the same time with me. I discovered he kept begging n begging her even while me n him were dating .he kept telling her to agree to attend his church or dey can be going to their separate churches but the girl kept insisting that they should attend the same church. I. e. he should leave his church and she will leave hers. Don't get me wrong, if this had happened before we started dating, I wouldn't have gotten angry. but all these happened while we were serious and even after he came to see my father, I discovered he was still pleading with her as per church matter. Who does that?? So what if she had agreed for the church matter, he would have dumped me n embarrassed my dad??
I brought it to his notice and he kept saying he never meant it, he was just using it as an excuse not to marry her.
Now in the marriage, emotional abuse never ends. Just fewonths into the marriage, he started behaving somehow bcoz I hadn't taken in. all kinds of insults oh. one day, he said if he knew I couldn't have children he won't have married me. this was just 4months into d marriage. any little thing he complains. on weekends, he expects me to get up by 7am m start preparing his breakfast oh. weekend which is supposed to b for resting since we work Monday to Friday. Every little thing, he keeps saying if he knew he won't have married me. I still remember how he slapped me several times, he insulted me n i insulted him back, that was what caused d slap. even when he saw me crying he wasn't moved. I have complained to family members and friends ,they have spoken to him, he will change for a while and later go back to his terrible ways. I have never seen this kind of acrimony between couple. I am not a bad looking person, I have dated people in d past, they didn't treat me half as badly as this one. I was just too unserious. I want to leave this torture. but we work in the same place and I am trying to avoid wagging tongues. I just tired. I have seen and experienced mutual love and it's not like this. I long to share love with someone that loves me just the way I am. I don't deserve to be with this animal. When it comes to food, he eats so angry if his food isn't ready on time.
Please I need advice. he went for test n it was discovered he has low sperm count. that made him humble for some fine but recently he started saying again that if he had married a younger lady, d lady would have been pregnant by now. just imagine this kind of torture. God knows I have absorbed so much from this man |

jolak5: But they should have informed them before they took that action, it is a total disrespect to Nigerians. Can they do that to a Canadian or an English? Of course not! Why will you bring up Canadian and English people in the same conversation with Nigerians. Are they at par? Or what? Charity begins at home. If your government can afford to treat you like pieces of rags! Why on earth will u pass the buck to another people/government to treat you better? As a rule, Nigerians treat most foreigners with more courtesy than fellow Nigerians. Until we respect ourselves, by ourselves, it will be foolish to expect anything different from others. |
Christianity Etc › Re: How The Bible Shows That Abortion Is The Murder Of A Living Thing by EasterDell: 9:47am On Jan 27, 2019 |
This is simple! Anyone that is caught doing abortion. Both woman, doctor and accomplices should be sentenced to die by hanging. That is the law for murder in Nigeria. Welcome to the Christian Republic of Nigeria. . . . Monkeys! You guys didn't even learn from Jesus. This very type of "holier than thow" "i too know" law quoting is why he hated the Pharisees!!! He who doesn't have a sin should cast the first stone. Plz shut your mouth and face important issues in your own life! alBHAGDADI: Many wonder if abortion is murder and wrong in the sight of God. Some say it isn't because the baby in the womb is not yet a living thing because it hasn't drawn its first breathe. However, this is wrong as seen in the below Bible passage.
Luke 6:23 Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.
In the verse above, we see Jesus telling people to leap for joy. This means that leaping for joy is something done by living things. Let's see if a baby in a womb can leap for joy.
Luke 1:41-44 (KJV) 41 And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost: 42 And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb. 43 And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? 44 For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.
If a baby still in pregnancy is not a living thing yet, how come John the Baptist leaped for joy in his mother's womb when Mary arrived with Jesus in her womb? Is leaping for joy not a thing done by living things? Have you ever seen a stone or dead body leap for joy?
Abortion is simply murder of a living thing. Stop it now. |

No matter how you want to suger coat our stupid attachment to the supernatural. The mobile phone you are using to type that nonsense, the internet that made nairaland possible, electricity, etc... Where developed by rugged thinkers that study hard facts, experiment and recreate... refused to surrender their reasoning to the supernatural. Dark arts, tricks and magic exist! They are used to entertain children and gullible minds. Beyond that, they solve no real problems in life! Take it or leave it! . . . Qsscruz: This isnt about Africa or Africans. This about what is obtainable regardless of your choice of conviction. Dark arts exists. These things happen. There is a gulf in gap between knowing something exist and believing in them. Even if whites uses science to explain some phenomenon, some things still transcend simple logic. The difference is that ours is used for negativities. Things happen. You may term it whatever, but it doesnt change it. Like i said earlier, you only know what you seek for. What you are not into, it above you. Simple.

Beautiful! ... "I also laughed at your comparison because it was totally Hilarious and Wack." Nobody says spiritual matters are non existent. My wonderful examples show they are SIMPLY NOT SO POWERFUL! ... Not even remotely powerful enough to give you a dime! Spiritual money promises deceive and hoodwink fools! Babalawo must chop! You that is so spiritually awake... I look forward to your name on Forbes list. Kikkikikikikikikikiki . . . Xavier5: Yea, just like a patriotic US soldier will never use his guns against unarmed civilians except in very extreme critical situations. The soldier has the power to do it. He or she has the bullet loaded guns, so what will stop him or her from shooting at unarmed civilians and disappearing into thin air but no, he or she choose not to do it not be he or she can't do it but because he or she doesn't wanna do it or may have limited power to do it. Does that mean the soldier does not exist or is powerless simply because he decided not to use his or her military strength or prowess against unarmed Civilians?
The government of Nigeria has the power to make Nigeria a better nation but no they choose not to do it, not because they don't have the power to do it but because they choosed not to do it. So will you say the government of Nigeria does not exist simply because it decided not to use it's power to develop Nigeria and make it a better country.
Of course the answer to the above bolded questions is NO
Same way a patriotic US soldier chooses not to use his or her gun or military prowess or weapons against unarmed civilians and also as the government of Nigeria chooses not to use it's power to develop Nigeria and make it a better nation so Likewise the Spiritist choose not to use their powers in the manner, way and scenario you want them to not because they don't have the powers but because they choosed not to use it for such purpose or maybe because they don't have the exact or particular power that allows them to do the stuffs in the examples you gave.
Because a patriotic US soldier choosing not to use his or her guns or military prowess or weapons against unarmed civilians even if/ when he or she has the power to do so doesn't stop him or her from existing or the Nigerian government choosing not to develop Nigeria into a developed and a better nation even when they have the power of do so doesn't stop them from existing is the same way Spiritist exist even if they choose not to use or can't use their powers for the scenarios or examples you have given. It doesn't stop the spiritist from existing or from being powerful just like it can't stop a patriotic US soldier or the Nigerian government from existing or from being powerful
I laughed at your comparison because it was totally Hilarious and Wack.
Whether you choose to believe it or not, Spiritism and The Supernatural exist. Okay.

Great stories! The point you miss is that deception is real and possible. Magic can be used to deceive you, but you must trust your senses. That story of the banker losing money is a cheap lie! Banking will not be possible in a land of powerful spirits like you described. Tomorrow when you own a bank, like Tony Elumelu, allow your staff to be telling you of human spirits stealing your money. Ode! bet9ja, merrybet, nairabet, would have all folded and ran out of Nigeria if we really had powerful juju priests that can see the future. . . . awelekiti: Hello, let me tell you a true life story. While growing up in ibadan, I had the opportunity of meeting a furniture maker from ondo state who was my neighbour . He was close to freedom as an apprentice that time. His master, a devout Christian and a member of the apostolic faith church, in oke ado ibadan had a customer who's an alhaji. The alhaji was so popular in oke ado that time. He made a bed for him and asked that the ondo guy, alongside his junior ones goes to deliver the bed to alhaji's house since the man had not come to pick up his bed through his driver as he used to. On getting to alhaji house at felele area of ibadan, the man wasn't home but they met his wife. After waiting a while and the man didn't surface, the wife asked the boys to take the bed frame into her husband's bedroom and assemble it. There was nothing like a gsm phone that time maybe the wife would have called him to come over. The boys innocently entered the room and assembled the bed. As one of them leaned on the wall to behold the beauty and direction of the bed after assembling, the wall slid in one direction all of a sudden. They were afraid . The alhaji obviously made a ply wood and used it to cover a portion, now painted it with the wall paint colour amd it rhymed with the wall. One of them standing by the bed side exclaimed, on seeing a small boy carrying a calabash on his head, with money littering all over where he was in a small room covered by the ply wood that slid sideways. The calabash spilled over , with mint( new notes). They all had cold suddenly after seeing it. The ondo guy in his wisdom, asked the boys to slide the plywood back to its position and it covered the portion as they met it. They left immediately and bidded the wife goodbye. On their way, they warned one another not to tell anybody what they saw and in case the man comes to workshop later, they should pretend as if nothing happened. Barely 1 hour after they returned to workshop, this alhaji came , panting. The boys faced their work, pretending as if they didn't see him. The man stood afar and was observing things, still the boys were focusing on their work. Later, he walked closer and said boys...weldone. He now gave them 20 naira each( a big sum at that time). This is somebody who would t drop a farthing in the past. He left thereafter and 2 hours later he came back again, looking at them sternly. The ondo guy asked sir, hope no problem? Do you need to see our master? Can I go to his house and inform him you're here? This man didn't say a word. Later, he left but never came back again. The boys later told their master what happened, while they went to drop the shop key with him. He exclaimed ! He asked hope they didn't tell anyone else and they said no. He said the man he learnt he's wicked but since all he owes him is a good job, and he pays him his money, he's fine. This alhaji never came back till I left ibadan for my nysc. When the ondo guy was narrating the story the folliwing day to us, his voice was shaling out of fears. That's ritual money also, I once had a bank manager as friend, who always complained that money was always missing in the vault. He usually goes home with the key . He's a trusted fellow so I can vouch for him to a great extent. There was a time he paid as much as 500k to balance the amount that got missing from the vault. Before he closes, everything would be complete after counting but by the time he resumes the following Monday, the money must have been reduced. Human spirits, I learnt goes to banks in the night to pilfer money and bring to the ritualists using them. This guy later resigned from the bank, when the gbese was so much. |

I wish the youths can really stop and rethink the recycling of old leaders who made a shipwreck of our country: with all their shambles working policy which still leave Nigerians deprived of basic life amenities.
Nigeria is really messed up and tbh no one should have any reason not to ACTIVELY CAMPAIGN AND VOTE FOR these new guys: Even if they don’t end up winning - we would know we at least made efforts to provide a better life for our children.
I so dislike the whole Atiku/Buhari stance - they all don’t care about the common man on the streets. Having good intentions is absolutely insufficient. Knowing what to do and knowing how to communicate same is key. I have closely followed this crop of Presidential candidates and all of them are lost bare non. Atiku, Moghalu, Ezekwesili seem to have some bearing. Sowore is an addicted activist who is clearly trivialising our problems. Dorotye is just spewing ideas, theories and wishful thinking. Buhari has done his worst and is too arrogant to try anything new. Most of us like the blame game. Nowenuse: You made salient points above I must confess. But for you to completely underrate, Ignore and rubbish the achievements of past african empires is what I would not accept. The Mongols once ruled half of the world, how great are they today? They are a small minority in China almost absorbed and have another landlocked insignificant country btw China & Russia. Arabs once ruled and conquered even parts of Europe. How great are they today?
Will you just throw away the numerous past Kingdoms and Empires of Africa like Mali, Abbysinia, Nubia, Kush, Askum, Songhai, Ghana, Benin, Kanem-bornu, Ancient Egypt etc as Africans always being backward?
The Greeks once ruled the world, today they are the economic embarrassment of Europe.
Assyrians were once a world power, today they are a small almost ethnically cleansed minority in the Arab world.
Empires and kingdoms rise and fall and times change. Totally agree with you! I'm just sometime irked by the irresponsible reverse racist blame game mentality many Africans prefer to adopt. |
