Aderewah:You don't have enough money to live in decent houses yet you're talking about paying for energy. Aside Lagos and those industrial estates at Ogun state boundary with Lagos, which other place in the SW do you think such could be viable? Don't even mention Ibadan because if the people there have enough purchasing power, most of them won't be living in those unsightly shacks or entering those small tuke-tuke buses. FYI, Aba is already the first city in Nigeria to enjoy 24 hour power supply from a massive private company named Geometric and a much smaller one in Ariaria. If your region is viable for it, don't you think you would have investors already like Aba? It's now we will know the actual poor and rich guys, not those fake oluwole crap from NBS. |
Well, I like Allen Onyema for always looking at the bigger picture. Even though, the emir or the Kano market may not be significant to worry about as a businessman but we are talking about Muslims here. That delinquent cousin of the emir is the one stoking the embers without understanding the fire may end up consuming Nigeria including him. I also like the way Allen Onyema made reference to the emir's father, it goes to show he is not a small boy and likely older and more traveled than the emir. However, he should ensure he doesn't meet the emir before the useless 3 days ultimatum and he should be careful of that stupid cousin whenever he visits to avoid being humiliated by a small boy. |
Newton2024:You don't expect me to spoon-feed you, just Google Umahi's infrastructure development in Ebonyi and see for yourself. |
Ofodirinwa:I doubt this is Aba. Which area of Aba is this? |
Just imagine rubbish?! It's not just the narrowness of it, it's absolutely ridiculous with uneven coal-tar and painting that looks like crayons ![]() Every state now want to build flyover even when they're dirt poor and survive on skull mining ![]() A typical example of what I ordered vs. what I got ![]() |
Whether it was based on reality check or not, I commend Buhari for patronizing Innoson and encouraging local manufacturing. Imagine the impression people will have on landing in Nigeria only to be driven in vehicles produced in Nigeria, it gives us a bragging right as a great country. During the oil boom era, the politicians behaved so recklessly like drunken sailors, selling crude oil and importing refined petroleum among other such madness. However, Nigeria can't afford to be stupid anymore, that era is gone forever! I think the federal government should start looking at the regions and their comparative advantage now that oil era is coming to an end. Specific regions/states that must be encouraged to do more are the following: Anambra and Abia. Lagos and Ogun. North. Anambra and Abia has enough capacity to supply Nigeria and West Africa with all its vehicle needs, motor parts, shoes, bags, cloths and other consumer goods that are bought from China. Thank God that geometric is about to supply Aba with 24 hours electricity to boost production. Lagos and Ogun has enough multinational corporations and also indigenous manufacturers of industrial and consumer goods like beverages, drugs etc for the whole of Nigeria and West Africa. North can supply the whole of Nigeria with food and even have enough for export to other countries if only processing industries are in place. Nigeria has all the potentials to be great but it was unfortunately wasted. We are going to face serious crises and if we fail to do the right things now, then nothing will stop us from breaking apart into pieces like the Soviet Union. |
SarkinYarki:Wasted oil boom years with nothing to show for it. Last time I checked, Nigeria is still the world's poverty capital with insignificant infrastructure despite billions of dollars that were earned since 1957! The biggest losers are the Niger Delta people who had their region grossly polluted and yet are the worst. Sad! |
SlyDev:Fake news |
Rubbish and ingredients! These fools really think they own this country. Air Peace owes you guys nothing, go do your worst! |
Liebermantic:Actually, they were predominantly teeth-filing savages that eked out a living by attacking people. Their pirate activities was already well known back in precolonial times and since they weren't evolved enough to live in organized soceities like others, they couldn't partake in legal trade. SMH. |
Anonymous15:These people's proclivity to conjuring up fantasies from their butts is already widely known but their commitment to it is mind boggling. The funny thing is that they're not smart enough to understand the implications of their coc.k and bull stories. Between a majority and a minority population, logic already shows that the minority must be the offshoot of the majority if they happen to have one ancestry. Secondly, terms such as Oru, Egbema etc. are concentrated Igbo sounding names that are mutually in sync with other Igbo nomenclatures. The most stupid mindset I have seen is when an entire group will believe they're the only ones that live by the waterside. They go about claiming lands of people that allowed their parents to fish in waters. From Lagos to Ondo, Edo to Delta etc. They go about causing nuisance in their batcher slum settlements. |
Aderewah:Skull miners from the waste are senseless. |
Aderewah:Although, I seriously doubt any data coming from afonjas but their statistics always fly in the face of reality. Firstly, where is Lagos getting 4 billion naira derivation from? And if this statistics is true, then the SW as nothing to cheer here. Anambra has become an oil producing state and its derivation is about to start counting. Also, Imo just recovered lots of oil wells that were errornously giving to Rivers, that's why Bayelsa has overtaking them in production and Imo derivation climbed. |
eduj:That's self sufficiency. You use your own gas to generate electricity for your own consumption. I expect Aba to rise and become truly a great city as the first industrial and commercial city to have 24 hours power supply in Nigeria. |
Eastlink:They're only decieving themselves, they used the guise of rallying for resource control to railroad diverse ethnicities into their cult groups. They will look for hardened criminals in those ethnic groups and dash them vehicles while indoctrinating them into militancy and oil bunkering. Most of these misguided youths actually believe they're fighting for their rights as Niger Deltans without knowing that ijaws are actually using them to feather their own nest. Like all lies, their ridiculous attemps at building their imaginery empire by subsuming others will is about to collapse. |
RobbStark:You've continued fooling yourself. Bonny and Opobo people are Igbos and they're the ones emphasizing it. Few days ago, Bonny United Front, a sociocultural group from Bonny warned you guys to stop meddling in their affairs, that they have Igbo heritage! It's our Bonny and Opobo people that are claiming it and we will never abandon them. It's never about emotions because they would always choose what is best for them. The day they will claim to be ijaw is the day we will leave them alone but so far they are proud of their Igbo heritage, we always be there for them. |
BlackAdam55:You have continued to talk about okrika when this thread is about Bonny and partly Opobo. Even the neutral person you quoted asked you why you keep bringing okrika discussion here. It seems you've already given up on your propaganda about Bonny and Opobo being ijaw and now use okrika as a distraction. |
Just imagine the nonsense, are we all mad in this country or what? Hear the guy "I personally called the chairman of Air Peace, Allen Onyema to delay the flight as a mark of respect to the Emir of Kano and he refused..." The question this fool should have asked himself is this, why should the chairman of Air Peace delay a commercial flight because a "big man" couldn't keep to time? Others that boarded the flight and had engagements, are they subhumans?? Since the emir of Kano is a god, what stopped him from getting a private jet or even chatter a commercial flight? And this fool is not ashamed to be saying this embarrassing things in public? My respect for Allen Onyema just increased! |
Igbos never abandon their own. Same thing happened in South Africa. |
It's obvious they want to zone the presidency to the SE or SS but are waiting to see who will be the most malleable and easily manipulated. But trust the propagandists from the other side, they're already twisting the story. |
BlackAdam55:Firstly, you're a dull brain juvenile delinquent with the IQ of an ant. Imagine a minority group like ijaw talking about population to Igbos? Dude, can't you see that ogogoro has totally messed up your brain? I said in quote "okrika are too small to be an issue to Igbos" What I mean, which your tiny brain couldn't process was that there is nothing of significance that could make us lose sleep over them. Now, let me burst your bubble, the reason why Opobo and Bonny Igbos are still reminding you meddlesome Interlopers about their Igbo heritage is because they already know where their best interest is! In the 19th century, Bonny was among the most prosperous city states in West Africa, do you know why it was so? Simply because the Ndoki aborigines were able to link up with their folks around the Imo river and they established a trade route down to Reo Real. It was this synergy and trade with the rest of Igbo country that ensured their prosperity. When the Bonny civil war occured, Jaja being a smart and cunning man, left Bonny and established his kingdom in Opobo, that singular move was a checkmate! Immediately after, Jaja cornered the trade with the rest of the Igbo country and effectively cut off Bonny. What was the result? Bonny instantly declined! There was hunger and mass starvation which made many Bonny people to desert the island. While Bonny declined, Opobo on the other hand became the most prosperous city state in the Niger Delta within a few years! Unfortunately, these two city-states have become a shadow of themselves in contemporary times due to two factors: 1. They allowed ijaw landgrabbers to encroach and influence their worldview which is anti-Igbo. 2. Partly due to the factor above and the Nigerian civil war, Igbos had no choice than to channel their trade/commerce with the outside world through Lagos. Bonny/Opobo's loss became Lagos gain. I have gone to this learnt to explain all these to you so will understand because your IQ is too low to process such. Now Akwa Ibom people are fast building their deep seaport at Ibaka, anyone who is a smart observer already knows where their target is. There is also a Bonny deep seaport in the pipeline and just like in the 19th century, everyone knows the region that would make the project viable or a white elephant project. The Bonny people are smart to understand the game, and that is why they've started re-establishing their traditional relationship with Igbos which they stand to gain more from unlike the nuisance value the ijaws bring to them. So, like I said earlier, okrika is too small an issue to bother the Igbo nation. And truly, I don't really see any strong blood connection with us Igbos unlike Bonny and Opobo whose Ndoki blood already makes bonafide Igbos! |

jerseyboy:Another lost soul on the lose! What has Biafra got to do with the discussion here? Did you ever see any of my post talking about Biafra? Senseless juvenile delinquents! |
SaintBishop:What is my business with okrika, have you ever seen me mention okrika in any way? They can be whoever they want to be, they're too small to be an issue. Instead this thread is about you ijaw meddlesome interlopers who were warned by the Bonny aborigines to stay away from their land. You left that to be talking rubbish about okirika? What a deluded soul. |
OEPHIUS:Mr. Mediocrity poster, so this one is another achievement for Ugwuanyi? Chai, ndo! |
SaintBishop:Lol, aren't you the one crying already seeing that Igbos you want to measure dick with are far above you in every sphere of life! I just schooled you already with irrefutable facts and this gibberish is all you can respond with? Pathetic clowns ![]() |
Hmnn, now it's about to go down!! This is dangerous!!! |
All the ![]() |
Okrikans are the second largest Riverine ijaw clans in Rivers state, they are 10 times bigger than Bonny and Opobo combine. They have 100 times more voting blocks than Bonny and Opobo combine.
