PoliticsGov. Ikpeazu Decries Absence Of Federal Secretariat In Abia (Photos) by EBMedia(op):
IgbereTV reports that Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, has made a case for a federal Secretariat in the State.

Governor Ikpeazu stated this during a courtesy visit by Federal Commissioner, representing Abia State at the Federal Character Commission, Mr. Henry Ogbulogo, who was in the State on a working visit. The Governor expressed regrets about the absence of Federal presence in the State adding that Abia is ripe to have a federal secretariat. He called on the Commissioner to join in the clarion call for a federal secretariat in the State, adding that the mere absence of a federal secretariat further points to the absence of federal presence in the State.

According to him, despite the fact that Abia is an oil producing State, it cannot boast of having any oil company with an office in Abia. He also pointed out that none of the companies that drill oil in the State resides in Abia but rather prefer to live in another states from where they come to work in Abia and pay their taxes in those other States.

He noted that Abia is one of the most peaceful States devoid of youth restivness and appealed for a change in attitude by the Federal Government. The Governor who noted that the issues raised by the Federal Commissioner including fixing the road that leads to its office in the State as well as compelling the Ministries Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to submit their nominal rolls to the Commission, directed such MDAs to avail the Commission all the necessary support.

Earlier in his speech, the Federal Commissioner, Mr Henry Ogbulogo, appealed to the Governor to give the Commission necessary footing in the State as well as compel the State Ministries, Departments and Agencies to make available to the Commission necessary documents and nominal rolls to enable it carry out its job.

Mr. Ogbulogo said the Commission is mandated to monitor compliance to the guidelines and formula for employment. He thanked the State government for providing land for the Secretariat of the Commission and requested that a facelift be given to the road leading to the Commission's Secretariat in Umuahia.

BBNAIJA 2020: Viewers Shocked At Seeing A Rat In Big Brother House (Photos, Video)

Many Nigerians think that the Big Brother house is flawless and perfect when it comes to the in-house living standard, but viewers were shocked to spot a rodent roaming about in the house.

In a video seen by IgbereTV, the rodent was spotted running past the dinning room while housemate, Vee and some other housemates were having their meal.

As can be seen in the video, the camera focuses on Vee, with the background blurred but a visible quick living thing dashes past her and in a movement so swift that it could only be considered a rodent.

Babcock University Student Expelled Over Sex Video Gets Scholarship To Study Abroad (Photos)

IgbereTV reports that the young lady whose sex video went viral and who was consequently expelled from Babcock University have received scholarship to study abroad.

The video surfaced online in November 2019 showing two Babcock University students having sexual intercourse in a clinic. The video went viral and caused a stir online as many people begun to share their thoughts on the matter, with some people saying she shouldn’t have been expelled.

The lady in question was heavily criticized over the act, to the point that Babcock Vice Chancellor, Prof Tayo Ademola after being silent for days, ordered her immediate expulsion from the university.

She was a 300 level student of Accounting at the time the viral clip was released but school the management said she had been expelled since the video leaked in April, 2019.

Ever since she was expelled, there has been little to no news on her whereabouts or update on her welfare. But it appears some recourse has come her way as a medical doctor, Ola Brown has given update on plans being made to return the young lady’s life back to normal.

Dr Brown had revealed in June 2020, that she’s been making progress ever since the sex tape incident which ruined her life and led to her being expelled. See Dr. Brown's tweets below.

“I know not many people will care, but there are some people that followed the story of ‘Babcock girl’

I am so proud of the progress she is making academically/psychologically/ spiritually

Hoping she will become one of the worlds best finance guru’s/economists."

He continued:
"Everytime she calls she has some new insight about the wonderful world of finance/accounting/economics.

She is smart, passionate & focused. She reads widely and deeply. She understands complex topics easily.

I see her at the IMF/AFDB or some other global finance institution."

Kidnappers Raped Me, Forced My Brother To Have Sex With Me - Lady Narrates (Photos)

IgbereTV reports that a 20-year-old woman, Chioma Dioke, an indigene of Nsukka in Enugu State has narrated how some men kidnapped her and her elder brother, raped her repeatedly and forced her elder brother to have sexual intercourse with her.

Chioma who spoke on Tuesday, July 28, said the kidnappers held them hostage for five days inside a bush called Sambisa forest located in Ezzagu, Ishielu LGA Ebonyi State.

Chioma, her brother and another victim had gone to Onunwafor, Ezzagu in Ishielu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State to do their business of selling of goods which included noddles, diapers and oil. The business also allowed members of the community to invest money and those who invested were receiving high amounts as their returns.

However, the owner of the investment business reportedly ran away from the community with the payments made by their customers without the knowledge of Chioma and her brother.

Angry youths abducted Chioma, her brother, and the other person involved in the business and held them hostage in the bush. They were starved, threatened, and sexually assaulted.

Narrating her ordeal to newsmen at the state police command in Abakaliki after her rescue from the kidnappers’ territory. Chioma said she was repeatedly raped by boys from the community while others inserted hands, rods and sticks into her private part. She said they also forced her brother to have sex with her even though he told them it was incest and forbidden.

She said: "A company employed me to advertise noodles, diapers, oil and other products. If you invest N1,000 in the business, you will get N1,500. We were just doing that and we were paying our customers.

"One day, our boss travelled. I went to the office and couldn’t see three of our colleagues. I only saw my elder brother and one other guy that was working with us. As three of us were in the office, the community youths came and started beating us, demanding where our boss was. They tore my clothes, pants and bra and took us into a thick forest.

"They started molesting me; some had sex with me, while others inserted hands into my private parts. Some pressed my breasts.

"After they finished molesting me, they said my elder brother must have sex with me. They carried my brother, beat him up thoroughly and ordered him to start having sex with me. My brother told them that it was against our culture. They insisted that he must do it and pointed a gun at his head. My brother had no option than to have sex with me.

"After blood gushed out of my private parts, they ordered my brother to clean the blood. When he refused, they beat him up again. They came to me again and had sex with me in the pool of my blood."

"After having sex with me again, some of them came to me and inserted sticks in my private parts. Later, they took us to another forest where we stayed for four days. If they hear anything like a gunshot, they will take us to another forest."

Police later got information about the incident and stormed the forest, killing two persons and rescued the victims.
