Justice Lewis Allagoa on Thursday ordered the police and Department of State Service (DSS) to provide security for Oshiomhole to resume in his office.

IgbereTV captured the the moment a lady created a scene at a hotel in Benin, Edo state capital after she caught her husband with his alleged side chic.

In the video, the married woman and another lady were seen dragging and harassing the side chic and it appears she also stripped the lady in the process.

Security guards could also be seen trying to intervene but the married woman wouldn’t bulge as she held on to the side chic.

A Gospel singer, identified as Patience Akpabio took to her Facebook page to say that having sex in the dark should stop, IgbereTV reports.

According to her, children produced in the dark have a different view about that the world than those produced in light.

The gospel singer further urged couples to ensure there is light in the room during sex, so there can be transparency and positive energy in the world.

She wrote; “No more having sex in the dark with your husband. This is 2020, turn the lights on. Children produced in darkness have a different view of the world than those produced in light. Let us light up our world in the bedroom so we can have transparency and positive energy in this world”

It doesn’t stop there, she also added that sex in the dark makes a man act like he is blind, while he gets a clearer direction when there is light. Patience Akpabio wrote in a rejoinder comment;

Coronavirus: Lagos Catholic Archdiocese Suspends Sign Of Peace. Members To Receive Holy Communion in their Palms

IgbereTV reports that the Catholic Archdiocese of Lagos has temporarily suspended the exchange of sign of peace during Masses as part of the precautionary measures against the outbreak of Coronavirus in Nigeria. Sign of peace is the liturgical practice of exchange of handshake or embrace as a demonstration of love and friendship at some point in the Eucharist celebration of Mass.

In a special advisory sent out to the parish priests, religious and the lay faithful, His Grace, Most Reverend Alfred Adewale Martins, the Archbishop and Metropolitan See of Lagos also directed that communion will now be received in the palm.

During this season of Lent, the Archbishop also in his circular encouraged the lay faithful to “do Stations of the Cross privately on Wednesdays while public celebrations will be reduced to Fridays only”. He advised people to stay home if they feel unwell. “If you have a fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical attention and call in advance. Follow the directions of your local health authority”.

Thousands of direct and indirect jobs are to be created for the teeming youths during the various stages of the construction of Awka Millennium City.

According to IgbereTV reports, the Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige made this known while inspecting work at the site.

The Minister appreciated Anambra State government for providing good atmosphere for such facility and for supporting the project through provision of land.

Awka Millennium City is a housing scheme that would give Ndi Anambra the opportunity to own a home at an affordable price. They would enjoy good infrastructure such as access road, CCTV, malls etc.

While speaking to the press, the Chief promoter of the project, and Chairman of M-P Infrastructure Ltd Mr Clem Nwogbo said the project is a PPP project with the Anambra state government. He thanked Governor Willie Obiano for the support the state government has given to the promoters and said they were inspired to do the project by the governor’s Akuluouno call.

A lawyer, Ezuku Emmanuel Anenih had on October 2014 sued MTN Telecommunication Service Provider for illegal deductions for unsolicited caller tunes, IgbereTV reports.

In a video report IgbereTV obtained from the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA), Mr. Emmanuel had complained to MTN about the illegal deductions which MTN evidently acknowledged and subsequently sent him N700 as a reward.

Mr Emmanuel sued MTN to court in which the Chief Judge of the FCT, Justice Ishaq Bello
ordered MTN to pay Mr. Emmanuel N5m for damages.

Pope Francis has been suspected on contracting the dreaded coronavirus after he was forced to cancel a mass upon catching an unspecified illness after meeting with several infected people earlier this week.

According to IgbereTV reports, the Catholic pontiff, yesterday met with people who had contracted coronavirus to show his sympathy with their plight but has since taken ill, unable to leave Rome. Pope Francis, 83, is reported to have a slight indisposition, so has chosen to stay near Santa Marta, the Vatican hotel where he uses as his residence.

Although the Vatican has not disclosed the nature of his illness, the pope was seen coughing and blowing his nose during yesterday’s Ash Wednesday mass. Speaking during the service the pope told well-wishers, “I wish, again, to express my closeness to those who are ill with coronavirus and to health-care workers who are caring for them.”

Confirmed cases of the coronavirus have been reported in Italy as more than 400 people, have been infected in the north of the country. Pope Francis had been scheduled to go to the St John Lateran Basilica to meet with Rome clergy and celebrate a penitential Mass at the start of Lent today but had to cancel this.

IgbereTV that when Pope Francis was younger, he lost part of one lung because of a respiratory illness and suffers from sciatica, which makes walking difficult, but had been able to manage the illness.

IgbereTV reports that beggars led a peaceful protest on Tuesday, against what they described as undue harassment and arrest of their members by Lagos State officials.

The beggars, who came in over 10 buses and seven tricycles, barricaded the entrance to the Assembly and demanded that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu address them, saying they would sleep on the road if the governor did not come out.

Even though they were informed that the governor was not around, they still insisted on seeing the governor.

According to IgbereTV reports, the men and women carried placards with different inscriptions, including, ‘Enough is enough, stop the persecution of people with disabilities,’ ‘If you don’t want to see us begging on the streets, give us skills and empowerment,’ ‘Seeing beggars all over our streets and roads is the failure of the system,’ and ‘We are tired of running without legs or eyes, give us skills and empowerment.’

The protesters also chanted Allahu Akbar intermittently, as they dared the police to harass them.

A spokesperson for the beggars and Coordinator, Physically Challenged Empowerment Initiatives, Mohammed Zanna, said when the group protested at Alausa in 2017, many of their members were arrested and taken to a place at Majidun.

He described the place as a prison, saying they were manhandled by government officials.

Zanna claimed that without making any provisions for their welfare, government dumped them at Majidun, adding that some of them died in detention.

He said that some of the beggars had purchased tricycles to make a living when the government banned the operators in some parts of the state.

He lamented that life had become difficult for them, adding that beggars trekked from bus stops to their destinations and some physically challenged persons among them lacked means of transportation.

He also said that on February 7, 2020, his group came with 500 beggars for a peaceful protest to draw the attention of the governor to the challenges facing persons living with disabilities across Lagos State whose livelihoods and mobility had been “undermined by the shocking ban on tricycle riders.”

“We cannot enter buses because we cannot fight and struggle. We are seeking audience with the governor. Let him tell us what they want to do with us. We need skills and empowerment. We are tired of sitting at home. We are demanding to be skilled.

“We do not want to beg on the streets. We have used our own ingenuity and resources to provide alternative livelihoods for ourselves that are more dignified, safer and productive to society.

“Yet, in the blink of an eye, this government is willing to destroy all we have built for ourselves and push us back into poverty and life without basic human dignity.

“We are ready to work with government to find workable alternatives through appropriate regulation of keke, special permits for people living with disabilities to use our keke for the transportation of our members or real and immediate support for alternative livelihoods through skills training and support for us to start new businesses."

IgbereTV reports that Eddie Hearn, promoter and agent to Anthony Joshua has revealed the British-Nigerian boxing champion wants to fight Tyson Fury next, after watching Fury sensationally defeat Deontay Wilder in 7 round knock out on Sunday morning at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas.

It was the second time Fury and Wilder were fighting, after getting a draw in the first clash in December 2018, and with the win Fury now has the WBC heavyweight belt while still retaining the Lineal and Ring magazine heavyweight championship belt.

Fury’s win now means Britain has all the belts in the boxing heavyweight division and Hearn has revealed Joshua wants a unification bout against Fury, a match that if agreed will determine the true king of the heavyweight division.

Wilder has the option to take up a third fight with Fury this summer, but Hearn hopes the American does not do so after he was well and truly destroyed by Fury before his team threw in the towel in the seventh round.

Speaking on the Weekend Sports Breakfast show on Sunday morning, Joshua’s promoter said he will go all out to set up a monster all-British clash next.

“I’ve already spoken to AJ and he wants to go into this fight next,” Matchroom supremo Hearn declared.

“We have to make this fight happen. We will never, ever get the chance for two Brits to fight for an undisputed heavyweight world championship.

“I promise you we will do everything we can to make this fight. It has to happen.”

“I don’t think anyone wants to see a third fight because it was that conclusive but we will see if he exercises that clause."

“I probably expect Wilder to do that – I don’t see where else he has to go.

“But our mandatory [IBF] challenger, Kubrat Pulev, is also promoted by Bob Arum, like Tyson Fury, so there is a very easy manoeuvre there if Wilder doesn’t accept the rematch to go straight into this undisputed fight in the summer. That is what we have to push for initially.

IgbereTV reports that a lot of residents in Garkida in Adamawa State are still missing after the Boko Haram Attack in their community on Friday.

A reliable source in Garkida said that as the insurgents had dominated the town on Friday, people took to the mountains to escape death as the dreaded insurgents opened fire power on people killing unspecified number of people.

Confirming the development the State Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria CAN Bishop Dr. Stephen Dami Mamza said the biggest Churches in Garkida town have been burnt down.

He said, ” I’m aware that some of the biggest Churches in Garkida town, Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria (LCCN), EYN, Living Faith and others has been burnt down by Boko Haram”

He said, ” I’m yet to account for the lives of my pastors who where affected during the rampage and burning down of the Churches “

A resident of Garkida Mrs Rachael Kilofas who is a trained nurse at the ancient Garkida Leprosy Hospital said the insurgents drove everyone outside the town when they came firing sporadically.

She said, “We ran to all the mountains to escape death but from there we saw our biggest Churches and the General hospital burning and there was no resistant as the Boko Haram had a field day.

Rachel Kilofas said women and children where especially caught unaware as others could not run to the mountains and children where helpless as many parents cannot account for their wards even now while hiding in the mountains.

IgbereTV reports that the former governor of Anambra state and vice presidential candidate of the PDP in 2019, Mr. Peter Obi, has criticised Nigerian politicians who move around in large convoys, saying that they are not responsible, while attributing the practice to the high level of insecurity in the country which these politicians have failed to tackle.

The former governor said this while speaking at the 8th Convocation of Veritas University in Abuja on Saturday where he was the keynote speaker.

The former governor recounted how during his tenure as governor, he moved with a convoy of 22 cars until he discovered that 13 carried no official.

He said, “We have to be innovative in politics. We have to get the right people who are prepared to save this country. We are in a bad situation. I am in a bad situation. Anybody who tells you that we are doing well is lying. I live in fear every day. “The insecurity is totally unacceptable. One of the greatest cures for insecurity is to get people employed. Let us shut down the cost of governance. “You see big people going round with 15 or 20 vehicles and causing confusion all over the place and disturbing public peace and everybody with his own big title."

“If I was coming here with 20 policemen, to Nigerians, that shows I am ‘Your Excellency’. That is irresponsibility; it doesn’t happen anywhere in the world.

“There is no place in the world that I have seen where one man moves around with 22 vehicles. It is madness. I used it as a governor. You will not believe it. I used it as a governor until I asked to find out one day how many of the cars people were occupying, and about 13 of the cars were empty."
