A message for Dele Momodu: Instead of you to do your politicking very well, start from somewhere to prove you are serious with Politics, you are busy playing to every galleries.

We know you very well, and we know you are not serious with this ambition just like any other jesters like sowore and co who just want to be identified with as a Presidential Aspirant. You are knowledgeable enough to know how to run political package and this one you are doing, the intent is known to an average Nigerian.

Stop bringing RCCG into your comedy! The aim of that church policy has nothing to do with you jesters and politicians alike, it's a new shift to bring coordination into our participation of politics and GOVERNANCE.

RCCG is not the first, you claim to live in advance democracy but deny the impact of the church in those societies? Only gullible Nigerians will take you serious at this point. Which law forbids the church from creating departments for Administration, which morals forbid church from grooming her members to contribute to nation building and National Transformation?

You con used style put ya self into the numbers of RCCG members contesting election, when was the last time you attended church service sef .

Politics / Road To 2023: Businessmen To Purchase Nomination Form For Osibanjo by Ebunoluwa2020(f): 8:39am On Feb 25, 2022
Key supporters of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Business Men For Osinbajo (BFO), have revealed that they’ll buy the All Progressives Congress (APC) nomination form for him to contest the 2023 presidential election.

They revealed this on Wednesday night in Abuja by BFO’s convener, Dr Tayo Fashogbon, during the inauguration of the support group.

During the event, which was attended by prominent businessmen in Nigeria, Fashogbo said they were wooing Osinbajo into the race for continuity of the projects and programmes of the Muhammadu Buhari administration.

Fashogbo said even though Osinbajo is yet to declare his interest in the presidency, BFO was putting structures in place to ensure that he emerges as the next president of Nigeria because he is competent, versatile and knowledgeable of the dynamics of the Nigerian business environment and the global economy.

The BFO convener said Osinbajo has not declared his presidential ambition because as a legal icon, he is aware that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has not lifted the ban on electioneering and will therefore not jump the gun.

In order not to be caught unprepared, Fashogbo said the group resolved to go ahead with its inauguration so that there will be strategic planning and coordination of its activities.

‘I stand here to welcome you on this journey towards an “Elevated Nigeria. This elevation will be brought about by more intentional participation of the business community in the democracy of Nigeria. Until now, the business community, with all its great contributions, has only remained on the fringes of political relevance. This has continued to limit our capacity to influence the ease and outcomes of doing business,’ he said.

In the same vein, the co-convener of BFO, Mr Olatunji Davies, said the BFO is pushing for the Osinbajo presidency because of his acceptability by Nigerians irrespective of the economic, social, religious and ethnic background.

Davies said Osinbajo’s acceptance is further confirmed by the rate various political leaders their political inclination notwithstanding invites him to commission projects they have executed in their states.

He said since the government is a continuum, Nigeria needs a leader like Osinbajo to continue from where Buhari will stop in 2023.

Fashogbo said: ‘Our group called the Business Men for Osinbajo (BFO) is officially launched as a first major step to change the narrative. BFO is an independent group of volunteers from every sector and size of business, across the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory. The mandate is simple: to deliver the incoming ‘President Come 2023, Professor Oluyemi Osinbajo.

‘As the right leader for the business community, he has demonstrated passion for strengthening the economy by improving the ease of doing business at all levels. We have seen, from his esteemed role as vice president, in the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, how he has strongly stood for the business community. He has displayed his prowess through policy innovations, uncommon leadership of critical government interests, coordination of the economy, enhancement of quality of governance and an unwavering commitment to levelling the playing field.

‘For these reasons and more, we are “actively and intentionally” focused on him to be the incoming president, come 2023. We know at the appropriate time, he will yield to our clarion call.’

Politics / 2023 Presidency: Northern Youth Group Declares Support For Osinbajo by Ebunoluwa2020(f): 3:33pm On Feb 20, 2022
A group of northern youth from the 19 states in the region, under the aegis of “North-4-Osinbajo”, has thrown its weight behind the presidential ambition of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.

The coordinator of the group, Sani Mohammed, said this at the maiden rally it organised on Saturday in Jos.

Mr Mohammed, who said that membership of the group cuts across political parties, ethnic and religious affiliation, described the vice president as a man of honour who had all it takes to move Nigeria forward.

According to him, Mr Osinbajo as vice president has contributed to the growth of Nigeria’s economy, insisting that he will do better if he becomes the number one citizen of the country.

He said that Mr Osinbajo, if elected, would consolidate on the gains achieved by President Muhammadu Buhari in the last six-and-a-half years.

“The North-4-Osinbajo is a northern political group that is conceptualised to push the ambition of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.

“Our conviction as youths is borne out of the experience, expertise and commitment of the vice president.

“What endeared us and indeed most Nigerians to this gentle technocrat and academician is his passion and personal conviction to issues of welfare of Nigerians, security and opportunities.

“Having carefully consulted with the necessary individuals and groups, we have resolved to collectively and massively canvass support from both women and youths in the 19 northern states for Osinbajo,” he said.

Mr Mohammed appealed to the leadership of the All Progressive Congress (APC) to ensure that the vice president picked its presidential ticket for the 2023 general elections.

He also called on Nigerians at all levels to support the vice president in his bid to move the country forward.

Politics / Glitterati: Osinbajo Rocking Ijaw Attire Sets Internet On Fire by Ebunoluwa2020(f): 7:09am On Feb 20, 2022
• As Nigerians urge VP to contest 2023 Presidency
By Oluwafemi Popoola

The viral photo of Nigeria’s Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, on Ijaw attire in an event in Bayelsa State, on Saturday, February 19, 2022 has set tongues wagging on the internet immediately the picture was released from the Vice President’s office.

The spokesperson of the Vice President, Laolu Akande, had earlier in a post, where the photograph was officially released via his Twitter handle, announced his principal’s itinerary to Bayelsa State, the home state of former President Goodluck Jonathan, where he was scheduled to flag off the construction of the Angiama-Oporoma Bridge said to have been conceived 60 years ago, after which he would pay a courtesy call on the Traditional Rulers Council in the State.

The splendour of this charismatic visual presentation of the cosmopolitan Prof Osinbajo has made many Nigerians on social media reacted and commented on this adorable photo which was prolifically captured by the official photographer of the Vice President, Tolani Alli.

The self-acclaimed storyteller is renowned for her creativity through her lenses. She knows how to steal the spotlight with her stunning and captivating moments of the Vice President in images that often tell a thousand stories.

Osinbajo, in the picture donning an Ijaw outfit with a hat and bejewelled top, completed the neat tailored outfit with a walking stick, as he visited Bayelsa State to flag-off the construction of the Angiama-Oporoma bridge along with Governor Douye Diri.

Taking excerpts from the torrent of comments Nigerians posted on social media following the viral photo’s release of Twitter, a user charging the Vice President to run the 2023 race, wrote: “@ProfOsinbajo
Dear Mr Vice President, how else should we ask you to declare your interest for the 2023 presidential election? Please time is going. Millions of Nigerians won’t forgive you if you don’t contest. We need intellectually sound President.”

In the same vein, another Twitter user, commenting wrote: “If you attempt you may succeed.
When you don’t, you have already failed. Just do it, PYO.”

“The man for the right job. Clear road!” Said another user who wrote on Twitter

While also reacting to the picture, Ajuri Ngalale, the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the President on Public Affairs took to social media on his official Twitter page and wrote this:

”I do not usually comment on things like pictures, but this is some different kind of image right here. Too many words can be used to describe it, yet none willfully do it justice.

Kudos to the great @tolanialli and, of course, to a great man we study daily, H.E @ProfOsinbajo.”

Another Twitter user, Adewumi Collins captioned the picture with this, “Osinbajo momentum is rolling fast, and nothing will stop him.”

“One photo = a thousand words.
P.S. I have not seen anyone rock this outfit like this in a cool while.” one Susan Henshaw wrote.

Another Twitter user, Chigozirim appealed to the APC to field Osinbajo as their presidential flag bearer. He said, “Keep this man’s on the ballot box, and see PDP lose the election before 12 pm on February 2023.”

Also, the reactions found their way and extended to Facebook, another social media channel where a user commenting via Liberty Badmus Olawale wrote: “Good Afternoon Bayelsa. His Excellency is here!!!
Swag too plenty !
#FaceOfHope23”

https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1419977298437370&id=100012753390061

“Our man, your man, arriving Bayelsa today. WE MOVE” Babafemi Ojudu, the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Political Matters to the President wrote on his Facebook wall with Osinbajo’s viral photograph.

https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10161635737919689&id=820579688

“Oomo..see swag!!
Who won’t be proud to have this iconic personality as President.
Eni iyi, Eni eye.
#FaceOfHope23,” wrote a Facebook user commenting via Juwon Tunde.

The Vice President paid a courtesy visit on the Bayelsa State Traditional Rulers Council where he thanked custodians of the Ijaw tradition for the warm reception accorded him.

A Twitter user, commenting on the royal visit wrote: “Irrespective of our political affiliations as leaders; providing dividends of democracy to Nigerians should be the major priority.

“Nigerians don’t ask for many things, just provide the basic needs/amenities.”

The traditional institution in the area thereby conferred on him the title of Ebi-akubowei 1 (one who seeks good or progress) of Angiama Kingdom.

Lately, there has been a proliferation of diverse support groups across the nation mobilizing for the support of the Vice President by urging him to contest the 2023 presidential election.

The Vice President, however, has been tight-lipped about his rumoured presidential ambition. Although, both his body language and moves in the public space, however, show that he may be interested and probably waiting for the appropriate time to make his decision known to the public.

Politics / 2023: Tinubu Should Go And Rest, I’ll Vote For Osinbajo – Edwin Clark by Ebunoluwa2020(f): 7:01pm On Feb 17, 2022
Leader of Pan Niger Delta Forum, PANDEF, Edwin Clark, on Thursday, cautioned Bola Tinubu, an All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential aspirant against contesting in 2023.

Clark said Tinubu should go and rest despite coming from the most sophisticated region of Nigeria.

Featuring on Arise TV, the elder statesman said he would rather vote for Vice President Yemi Osinbajo to become Nigeria’s next President.

Clark described Osinbajo as an intelligent man who has what it takes to rule Nigeria in 2023.

According to Clark: “I’m not aware of Jonathan running for presidency. I’m a father to him and he has not informed me about such intentions.

“The southwest is the most educated and sophisticated people in Nigeria, but Tinubu should go and rest. Other than the Igbos, I would vote for the Vice President; he is an intelligent fellow.

“How many times have we heard Tinubu talking about the affairs of this nation or criticizing those in power?”

Tinubu had recently announced his intention to contest for president in 2023.

The former governor of Lagos State had informed President Muhammadu Buhari that his decision to run for the presidency was a lifelong aspiration.

Similarly, reports had it that Osinbajo would soon make his intention known.

Politics / Tiv Youths To Ortom: Forget Trivialities, Invite VP To Commission Projects by Ebunoluwa2020(f): 11:02pm On Feb 12, 2022
The Tiv Youth Council Worldwide has challenged Governor Samuel Ortom to slow down in giving attention to trivialities but rather execute projects and invite Vice President Yemi Osibanjo to commission if he wants to truly welcome him to Benue State.

The President of the Tiv Youth group stated this while reacting to the alarm raised by Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State over the purported refusal by security personnel at the gate of the Tactical air command Airforce base Makurdi to allow him to the entrance to welcome Vice President Osinbajo who was transiting to Taraba Enroute Makurdi.

The group regretted that the governor was always in the news for trivial issues but conspicuously missing on issues of development and urged him to retrace his steps.

“Governor Ortom can have the Vice President stay in the state for days if he invites him to commission projects. On occasions like that, the governor can welcome him amidst fun fare and extend all courtesies to him. This will elicit accolades from the Vice President and the people of Benue who have continued to yearn for development”, Hon. Mike Msuaan stated.

From the confidential official communication made public by the Governor, the notification had been sent to him informing him that the Vice President is transiting from Makurdi Airforce base to board a waiting helicopter to Wukari, Taraba State.

The President of the Tiv Youth Council Worldwide stated that the governor on alleged receipt of the letter would have initiated communication with the commandant of the Airforce base intimating him of his intention to briefly welcome the Vice President if he so desired.

The President of the Tiv Youth, condemned the governor for bringing confidential official communication to the public when it is an issue that could be treated through official channels.

“This is why we are convinced that Governor Ortom uses anything around the presidency to make headlines in his quest for popularity. It is needles politics bringing an issue which can be dealt with officially through the right channels to the media”, the statement noted

Politics / I'll Lead Delegation To Beg Tinubu If APC Doesn't Give Him Ticket.~ Gov Ayade by Ebunoluwa2020(f): 8:00pm On Feb 11, 2022
Cross River governor Ben Ayade says All Progressives Congress (APC) leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is qualified to be president.

"He worked and fought hard for Muhammadu Buhari's victory, so, if the slot is zoned to the South, Tinubu deserves to contest," Ayade told BBC Pidgin Service.

"I stand with the party and will support anyone who wins the candidacy of our party.

"If Tinubu is not the one, the APC needs to respect him and dialogue with him. I know he's a human being too and would follow peace.

"I'll gladly lead any delegation to plead with him in case the party goes for another presidential candidate in 2023," Ayade said.
