Webmasters / Re: Most Nigerian Website Owners Allow Their Domains To Expire: Why? by Ecash1: 3:22pm On Jan 26, 2013
yawa-ti-de:
From experience and observation, I can say that is more likely that the "webmasters" who did the sites are to blame - in an effort to score cheap money, they don't tell the clients that domains will expire in a year. By the time the client realizes it, one year don pass and "webmaster" don vamoose!

What do I do? When dealing with Nigerian clients, I advise them to pay enough for at least 3 years in a row. Where they balk, knowing them for who they are (generally speaking), I will build it into my pricing. I mean, who wants to hound a client every year for renewal fees?

@ yawa-ti-de Sir, While i agreed with you, there are host of others that have their personal site hit the rock, in fact I can count out up to 50 in this section ( Webmasters), I attributed all that to lack of knowledge and focus, so many website owners that said we should review their website in this section about 3-4 years ago are now extinct, I will give larger blame to that, I have Little success getting clients go past the two years mark.
Science/Technology / Re: Amazing Facts About The Air Force One (official ‘plane’ Of The US President) by Ecash1: 3:12pm On Jan 26, 2013
Before airforce one lands , there is always another jet that does land for the past 2 years. It got a nickname.

leslieu63: the airforce one can be shot down with a fighter jet.

@leslieu63, while nothing is impossible, some things are near impossible, you may like to read over the post again.

I agreed with you fully, see the people involved in rescue, I bet you if this happened in Britain or the state , the rescue operation will be carried out by special forces and it will be on CNN and BBC until they are rescued, What a place called " Nigeria".

Webmasters / Re: Is N1,000,000 Per Year Owkay For Web Developer by Ecash1: 12:38pm On Jan 26, 2013
That is okay for a starter, after a year or two, that will be way too too small, Initially when i started I do get that, Average website I design then was about 120k, having a job every month with = 1.4 M, Some months I do get two or more jobs though and none for only two months.
If you know your onions, I think you can overshot that as a starter.

Politics / Re: Akpabio And Amaechi Controversial New Jets by Ecash1: 12:18am On Nov 29, 2012
The Prime Minister, David Cameron, has sometimes, travelled in commercial airlines. It saves taxpayers at least $300,000 each time Cameron takes a commercial flight. Incidentally, while Norway, which produces about the same amount of crude oil as Nigeria, is among the richest countries in the world with one of the highest standards of living, Nigeria is among the poorest

The statement above is absolutely true, but the problem did not reside in this leaders alone but the system, I well remember how a member of the UK house of common, was asked to pay back some money, for some extravagant spending.
Politics / Re: God’s Private Jets And Limousines By Ogaga Ifowodo by Ecash1: 12:14am On Nov 29, 2012
It always amaze me, how evry ordinary man is so hasty in criticism yet so slugish in commending the good in others, to this write up, I have no better words than the words of " Anton Ego in Ratatouille ";
In many ways, the work of a critic is easy. We risk very little, yet enjoy a position over those who offer up their work and their selves to our judgment. We thrive on negative criticism, which is fun to write and to read. But the bitter truth we critics must face, is that in the grand scheme of things, the average piece of junk is probably more meaningful than our criticism designating it so. But there are times when a critic truly risks something, and that is in the discovery and defense of the *new*. The world is often unkind to new talent, new creations. The new needs friends. Last night, I experienced something new: an extraordinary meal from a singularly unexpected source. To say that both the meal and its maker have challenged my preconceptions about fine cooking is a gross understatement. They have rocked me to my core. In the past, I have made no secret of my disdain for Chef Gusteau's famous motto, "Anyone can cook." But I realize, only now do I truly understand what he meant. Not everyone can become a great artist; but a great artist *can* come from *anywhere*.

Business / Re: Why Is Gtbank Naira Mastercard Not Working On Facebook & Google Advertisement by Ecash1: 12:32am On Jul 13, 2012
I have always used the GTB Visa card but on trying to use the master card to make some payments , It was resisted and I wrote the card service, they kept given me same complain over all the merchants, that " Master card need Security to make payment at all times, unlike some merchants that just required a one time verification". It is actually more of Master card problem than GTB, but I have succeeded in making many payments, I will soon give it a try and feed you guys back once i exhaust the present cash on my adwords account.

Webmasters / Re: GTBank Website Has Been Hijacked? by Ecash1: 9:08am On Feb 16, 2012
Yes @  webstradamus  I am for real, infact realer   cheesy, I can forward to you the mail that these guys sent to me, I still have it in my box.

@ Kclas, that is why i said they are not too wise, there are other security gates that they can not even smell, besides the Id they are taken through phising, be that as it may they can still wreck some havoc without the token.
Webmasters / Re: GTBank Website Has Been Hijacked? by Ecash1: 2:10am On Feb 16, 2012
It is phishing not actually server attack.
Those guys with .tk extension are actually fond of that, they will send you info ( I received a mail to this effect last week), that you should confirm your bank details by clicking here ( A link to supposed GTBbank website) that will then direct you to their dubious website, similar to the internet platform of GTB.

On careful look, you will discover that the address in the address bar is not reading GTB , but the phising website.tk or like. All they want is your internet banking details, but they are yet not too wise.
