Pets › See The Alligator Killed By A Nairalander This Morning by ecolime(op):
My house is very close to a canal and alligators of different shapes and sizes breeze in and out of the canal to our compound as they like. This particular one we killed is one of the smallest we've seen in months. They are usually bigger than this. Guess it's about time we relocate.

Family › Re: Why Are Most Nigerian Nurses Inconsiderate And Uncompassionate? by ecolime(m):
Nigerian nurses are products of the Nigerian society. This is a country where people are angry, bitter and ready to lynch a fellow human over a cup of garri.

General Hospital nurses are the worst. They are so pompous and treat their patients like thrash. Most private hospital nurses are very professional. I used a private hospital (Inland hospital, Alapere) early this month and I was wowwed at their level of professionalism. Everyone from the gateman to the CMD is always there to help.

I believe most government health workers act that way because they believe no one can sanction them and that government's business is nobody's business while private hospital workers tend to be more professional because that's where their salary is coming from (who wants to lose a job in this recession? ...lol)

judahh:
The fake American and British accent kills me every time. In South African Radio and TV you hear presenters with heavily accented English but with correct pronunciations and I like it . Sadly that rubbish accent has been the basis for recruitment in Nigeria which is quite shameful and disgustingly repulsive. Some of em don't even have anything upstairs, just accent. Abeg, I taya
The fake accent is so annoying. Guess you must have one before you can be recruited... lol

IT all the way. Don't think about it twice. You can always move to other banks or another industry with your experience. Forget about what your manager thinks. It's your career not his/hers. Live your life .

Now is the time to be extra-ordinarily careful with the foods we eat. How to avoid unnecessary body contact in this congested Lagos is something to worry about especially for people commuting via public transportation. Going to the barbing saloon is another issue entirely. May God help us.

I didn't apply for this Halliburton job but still yet i really feel the pains of those who just got a regret mail from them. I finished NYSC last year June and I could remember following this thread around April/May while serving. I learnt something called "cooperation" from peeps on this thread. You guys were the bomb. It's pretty painful getting a regret mail after several months of waiting for a 'special message'. Don't ever loose hope and in all things, I want you guys to always give thanks to God.
