HeavenlyBang: Spot on. I'd probably even take the GS300 over the M35. Be like say I don dey pass my boy racer phase. Na the way to go be that o. It's scary how easily these cars get to 180-200km. Whenever I'm in Abuja, I avoid my cousins at all cost, guys live life on the edge - earlier on in February last year he easily pushed his 2014 CLA 250 4matic to almost 230km from the Airport to Gwarinpa at night. I was so strapped on, I had to count the airbags, because I was there when he learnt how to drive not up to 6 months before the pickup. Later found out, Abuja boys do these things on a regular. To them it's nothing! |

HeavenlyBang: Face off. Who y'all got? The M35 my guy but I would have chosen the Lexus if it were a GS. The Es350 to me is a nicer Camry/Avalon, which it shares most of its mechanical parts with. VQ engine is a guzzler, but then again, man shall not live by fuel savings alone but by how many Es drivers memorize my quad exhausts and tail lights. |

Lol... Men dey urge, dem wan see motor. Congrats king406, the tint shouldn't be too dark that you'll end up cutting holes adjacent the side mirrors. I prefer light tint to those dark ones. |

It's time to open up our economy - our governments have failed and have no viable or even feasible containment plan (apart from looting and retiring the COVID-19 coffers) in place assuming they extend the lockdown, this virus isn't going anytime soon and so is hunger! I'd rather take my chances with the Chinese virus than rely on government and well wishers for my daily bread. |
Autos › Re: Auction Export Scammers! by Eddee(m): 7:53am On May 16, 2020 |
DelTel: The challenge is that the outfit is more inclined to profit than helping customers during the buying decision process. The truth is that you don't rely on only the auction description esp Copart; experience goes along way which they obviously don't have or use with each customer.

AmuDimpka: Oga if you are a long distance Traveller , and you go to roads that you don't know the condition of the roads, it is commercial buses are best bet to follow because they ply that road staedy
Lagos Benin express way have some portions that are bad ...before Ofose village and these commercial buses know these roads when to follow a particular lane...Google map will never show you bad spots or pot holes
To me they are my native intelligence in roads that I don't know I understand your reasoning and if it works for you, great! Personally I will not tail any vehicle unless I have no choice and even then I'll keep a very safe distance. The first chance I get, I'm gone for good. AmuDimpka: Concrete is the best They have started using in Lagos....the anthony oshodi oworo axis
In South Africa it is being used and last decades
Bitumen is vulnerable to cracks, high temperature and erosion Ok, great. |

ogbuefi677: Enugu to Abakaliki is GEJ's handwork 100%,done as far back as 2013. Umahi is just in d process of dualizing d last approx 10km from the State University permanent site to Abakaliki town and also added streetlights. Same with d Abakaliki to Ogoja road.Done during GEJ time,100% though I heard some portions are getting bad. Abakaliki to Afikpo too though a portion of it,about 20km was abandoned since 2012.Umahi now finished it when he came in by 2015. Umahi has done a lot of internal roads sha, though mostly with his signature cement roads. Ah, thanks for the update. I keep wondering how durable this method is? Someone said it's better than the normal bitumen/coal tar - is this true? |

AmuDimpka: Also leave on a Sunday, the road is better most of them Manning road blocks have gone to drink beer ....
Enugu Abakiliki is a great road but don't do past 120km/h bro ..you never can say ! Also before ore be careful roads are terrible and tail commercial buses ! Don't do this unless you've photocopied your life and it's at home. I've been involved in a terrible accident, it took me a long time to comfortably grab a steering wheel. You don't want to find out the hard way. |

osy77: Goodevening guys...pls I need HELP...my c300 2015 displayed "Stop vehicle shift to P leave engine running" I did as instructed for about 1 hr...yet it kept popping up anytime I start the car...took it to my benz specialist..he scanned it and said it was the auxiliary batt under the mat of the passengers side, I bought a new 1 for 50k ...yet it persisted... my guy now said he wants to change alternator ...pls any suggestions on possible solutions 50k for a motorcycle or generator battery? I have one lying around here, bought for 3k. The voltage converter isn't up to 30k sef - this is a major rip-off. Don't touch that alternator. Contact oluwaseunla even if you're not in Lagos for remote diagnosis. While you are it tell your guy that I said, he's mad! When you change the aux battery, the voltage converter also known as the capacitor must be changed to eliminate any issue that may arise from the swap. It is a very common problem for new Mercs. In short, a simple scan would have pointed him to the right cause of the malfunction, which would likely be the capacitor alone.

Car Talk › Re: Mercedes Benz Thread by Eddee(m): 1:11pm On May 13, 2020 |
HeavenlyBang: Not an easy road. I think you'll have to run Lagos to Asaba, which is well known. Then Asaba to Abakaliki. Asaba to Awka is mostly ok, especially if you take the old road.
Awka to Enugu ranges from good to ok, depending on the side you follow.
If you can do Lagos to Asaba with your car, I see no reason why you shouldn't be able to do the rest.
No idea about Enugu to Abakaliki. Very good stretch of road, you'll enjoy the 1 hr ride. Apart from checkpoints! |
