TAKE ANOTHER WOMAN OUT FOR DINNER After 21 years of marriage, my wife wanted me to take another woman out to dinner and a movie. She said I Love You but I know this other woman loves you too and would love to spend some time with you. The other woman that my wife wanted me to take out was my MOTHER who has been a widow for 19 years, but the demands of my work and my three children had made it possible to visit her only occasionally. That night I called to invite her to go out for dinner and a movie. 'What's wrong, are you well,' she asked? My mother is the type of woman who suspects that a late night call or a surprise invitation is a sign of bad news. 'I thought that it would be pleasant to be with you,' I responded. 'Just the two of us.' She thought about it for a moment, and then said, 'I would like that very much.' That Friday after work, as I drove over to pick her up I was a bit nervous. When I arrived at her house, I noticed that she too seemed to be nervous about our date. She waited in the door with her shawl on. She had set her hair and was wearing the dress that she had worn to celebrate her last Wedding Anniversary. She smiled from a face that was as radiant as an angel's. 'I told my friends that I was going to go out with my son, and they were impressed,' she said, as she got into the car. 'They can't wait to hear about our meeting'. We went to a restaurant that, although not elegant, was very nice and cozy. My mother took my arm as if she were the First Lady. After we sat down, I had to read the menu. Large Print; half way through the entries, I lifted my eyes and saw Mom sitting there staring at me. A nostalgic smile was on her lips. 'It was I who used to have to read the menu when you were young,' She said. 'Then it's time that you relax and let me return the favor,' I responded. During the dinner, we had an agreeable conversation, nothing extra-ordinary, but catching up on recent events of each others life. We talked so much that we missed the movie. As we arrived at her house later, She said, 'I'll go out with you again, but only if you let me invite you.' I agreed. 'How was your Dinner Date?' asked my wife when I got home. 'Very Nice. Much more so than I could have imagined,' I answered. A few days later, my mother died of a massive heart attack. It happened so suddenly that I didn't have time to do anything for her. Some time later, I received an envelope with a copy of a restaurant receipt from the same place mother and I had dined. An attached note said: 'I paid this bill in advance. I wasn't sure that I could be there; But nevertheless, I paid for two plates one for you and the other for your wife. You will never know what that night meant to me. I Love You, My Son.' At that moment, I understood the importance of saying in time: 'I LOVE YOU!' and to give our loved ones the time that they deserve. Nothing in life is more important than parents, your family and friends. Give them the time they deserve, because these things cannot be put off till 'some other time.' Pass on this message ... To A Child, To An Adult, To A Parent, To A Friend, To your Mates or Someone you care for Must read! So beautiful! Tears rolling... Family is not made up of perfect people. #copied # |
The federal government should also consider name change for the Nigeria Police Force (NPF ) to Nigeria Police Service (NPS) and a review of the Course Contents of the Police Training to reflect the modern policing and the realities of democratic dispensation we are. This aspect can discourage state police because the disadvantages in state police are enormous. One, if hijacked by the state governors or local politicians, the result will be catastrophic |

HOW I FOUND MY DEATH CERTIFICATE WITH MY WIFE WHILE I AM STILL ALIVE My name is Air Commodore Gadzama (rtd). I retired last year at 60 years as a Senior officer. I collected my 30million Naira saved money from my banks, and use 10million Naira to set up my wife's business so that she can take care of her personal expenses. Part of the money was kept aside for my family expenses while I invested the rest in my business. My wife's business was doing well as well as mine. Two months ago, my wife asked me to give her 500,000 Naira for her personal upkeep. I told her to please take it from her business. She got upset and said she will get back at me. A man came knocking at my door last week. I opened and ask him what he wanted. He said he was from Local Government, an officer in charge of WIDOW EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME. That my wife applied for 5million Naira Widow Support with my Original Death Certificate. That he was here to verify if she is truly a Widow and to inform her that she has been considered to collect the 5 million Naira. I was speechless, almost fainted. I told the man that, I am her husband and still alive. I collected the Original Certificate from him. The man turned back without uttering a word. I confronted my wife about it and she said, she wanted to add the money to her business. This morning, Local Government officials came with Police to arrest my wife for forging my death Certificate in order to collect money from government. I can't imagine myself going to Police Station to bail a woman who declared me dead while I am still alive. AS MEN, WHAT IS YOUR ADVICE OR OPINION ON THE ABOVE THANK YOU # C O P I E D |

I LIKE THIS WRITE-UP Getting clearer and more interesting.. ON SENATOR BINANI vs FINTIRI UNENDING TUSSLE Our Amiable and electoral law juggernaut BARR. Ghani Rotimi wrote.. Those who actually are said to be involved in the 1billion naira advance payment to influence the election in favor of Fintiri which led to their arrest by DSS have released their internet dogs to re-write the story and accuse Binani of their own transgression. Well, we are focused on the election. Lie all you want, it will not save Fintiri from impending defeat. Meanwhile, the REC of a State by Item 14 of the Third Scehdule of the 1999 constitution is responsible for management of electoral affairs at the state. INEC guidelines gives him powers to superintend over the process in every ramifications. Unless he is suspended from his role, INEC Abuja had no powers to appoint Polling Unit Officers and Ward Collation Officers for the supplementary election of April 15, 2023. How did they compile the list? Who does INEC Abuja know in Adamawa especially as they constituted the new list without recourse to the State REC? Was the list handed by Fintiri's people to the 2 National Commissioners sent from Abuja and for what purpose? These are the pertinent questions that no one is addressing. By Section 149 of the Electoral Act 2022, the return made by the REC which was necessitated by circumstances is valid and can only be upturned by a Tribunal. INEC Abuja cannot sit on appeal in respect of declaration or return already made. Festus Okoye knows this. When Ihedioha was returned winner of Imo State Governorship election in 2020, he did not meet the mandatory 25% of all voted cast in 2/3 of thr LGA in Imo. Yet, the Returning Officer returned him. People complained and INEC responded that only a Court can upturn the said return. Festus Okoye did not issue his Appellate opinion declaring that return void. Binani is up against forces who are bent on not relinquishing power to a woman. The ordinary people of Adamawa have spoken. They have chosen her but the elite in the State, across party lines consider the voice of the masses an aberration. Unfortunately for them, the Will of the people must stand. Copied |
