RMAFC, Accountant-general’s Office Suspend Workers Over Padding Of Salaries Nigerian Revenue Commission, RMAFC, Accountant-General’s Office Suspend Workers Over Padding Of Salaries Some staff of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) and the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) have reportedly been suspended for their alleged roles in salary “padding”. Some other civil servants in an undisclosed institute were also reportedly suspended for same offence. The suspended workers allegedly connived with some officials in the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation to pad their salaries by manipulating the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System (IPPIS). Currently, an Assistant Director whose identity was not disclosed that was deployed in the IPPIS unit of the RMAFC is undergoing probe over the salary padding. A source familiar with the incident told The Nation that the assistant director, who is desk officer in charge of staff’ salary was alleged to have connived with the OAGF personnel to “pad” the salaries of unspecified number of lower cadre workers. “The AD in connivance with some staff members are deep in the salary padding racket. The alarm blew recently when a Level 7 officer, whose salary should be in the range of N60, 000 was paid over N400, 000 – the salary package for a director. “What happened was that another colleague on same salary scale saw the pay slip of a female colleague with a net pay of over N400,000. Surprised, he tried to get details of the excess payment but was rebuffed. "Following the cold attitude from his colleague, the aggrieved staff raised the alarm and a committee was set up to investigate the matter." Meanwhile, the salary padding racket according to the report, has been going on for a while among a small clique of civil servants in different MDAs with the IPPIS office in the OAGF as the epicenter of the activity. Reacting to the development, the OAGF in a statement said it is “in receipt of enquiries over alleged “salary padding” on the IPPIS involving some unspecified MDA. The OAGF noted that “there is no evidence of salary padding” before the OAGF at this time; however, the office is aware of reported breach of the IPPIS third party payment protocol at an Institute outside Abuja. “The incident has since been reported to, and is being investigated by relevant anti-corruption, security and regulatory agencies. “In the meantime, a staff suspected to be connected with the breach has been suspended to allow for thorough investigation.” It added "all necessary steps are being taken to strengthen the controls around the IPPIS payment platform and an independent forensic audit of the entire payroll system is underway to ascertain if the reported breach is isolated or widespread." However, the RMAFC Chairman, Mohammed Bello Shehu has confirmed the development, adding that some culprits had been identified and placed on suspension pending the investigation of the incidence. He said some workers at the commission were found to have manipulated the IPPIS system to pad their salaries above what they were supposed to earn. “If the indicted officials are found culpable of the salary padding allegations, they will be handed over to the appropriate authorities for prosecution,” Bello Shehu told the paper in a chat. Although, declined to disclose the number or the identities of those involved, he however vowed that the commission will not condone such blatant disregard of the civil service rules. “We will investigate to know how long this has been going on, how much has been illegally acquired and attempts made to recover the excess from those involved," he said. |

*COPIED* Omo! this reminds me of a faithful day I had taken my crush out for lunch. It was a sunday evening and we had gone to this newly opened fast-food joint to chill - Bills on me! When we got there, she ordered jollof rice, chicken and moi-moi, and so did i. We also had a pack of hollandia yogurt each to step down our meal. I did a rough calculation of everything in my head and it summed up to about 10k. I had 15k with me so no problem. So we were busy eating and chatting when I overheard a customer complaining with raised voice. He had just been served his bill and he couldn't hide his anger at the exorbitant cost of his meal. "10k for a plate of moi-moi? wetin una put inside!!"? He barked When I heard moi-moi, I turned to his direction. "This is corr.uption!" He yelled "Ordinary moi-moi 10k!" When I looked at his table, I realized his moi-moi was even the small size, meanwhile we ordered the jumbo size. I called one of the waitresses. "Nne, biko how much is the moi-moi?" I whispered to her ear "25k sir" She snapped "No, I mean just the moi-moi, not the total bill" I voiced "That's what am saying, sir" She reiterated "This is the jumbo pack and it's 25k for one" At that moment the moi-moi in my mouth began tasting like agidi. "Bia Nne" I leaned towards my crush "Can you run?" "Run? why?" She asked in a confused tone "Just answer, Yes or No?" "Okay, Yes I can run. What's the problem?" "Very good. See, when you hear, on your mark.. set.. Go! You will run outside with speed and take left while I take right" "Nnamdi, i understand what you are saying, running to where?" "Nne shut up first! When you reach house, you'll understand" |

Someone replied me on WhatsApp and this is his comment You can all see the double standards in our adjudicatory system? At the end judges without law degrees preside over erudite and grounded law erudites? Quota system is killing this country? Our immediate past Chief Jude of the federation only has a degree in Islamic jurisprudence without knowing "JAK" about legal jurisprudence and the results are not far fetched... Meanwhile we have better and more qualified candidates but they get retired or schemed out without merit."the trees kept clapping while the forest depleted simply because the handle it the axe was made of wood hence the belief that the axe was one of them".Let's keep clapping for mediocrity while our nation degenerates simply because of tribal, sectional and political sentiments....like I always quote the great philosopher 'Alexander Pope' "let fools determine who their leaders will be".My two scents. |
Nasarawa State law makers adviced judges to obtain law degrees or lose their jobs. This got me thinking and wondering how they become judges in the first place, with WAEC and NECO?

MATTER OF URGENT ALERT. WE HAVE SET OUR ANTENNA OUT IN SEARCH OF ANY SUCH TEXTBOOKS AMONG US. PARENTS PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHAT TEXTBOOKS YOU BUY FOR YOUR WARDS AND WHERE YOU BUY THEM. THERE IS FIRE ON THE MOUNTAIN IN NIGERIA EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM. PLEASE, WATCH OUT. READ THIS TO THE END BIZARRE AS..... INCLUSION OF SEX AND HOMOSEXUALITY IN NIGERIAN PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOL TEXTBOOKS. Many English, Mathematics and Social Science textbooks used in many Nigerian secondary schools today have been corrupted to include lewd (Homosexuality) matters in order to sexualize the young students. For instance, in Mathematics, a typical Maths question for primary school pupils is: *“20 condoms + 5 condoms-2 condoms equals…”*. At the moment in my little office, I have the latest lewd-textbooks or sexualized textbooks used in corrupting our secondary school pupils in Nigeria. They include: *Basic science Junior Secondary School Razat Publishers, 2018 edition, (for JSS3)*. Open pages 78 – 83 to see the harmful contents of the book- lesson on teenage pregnancy, *types of abortions students can do*, myths & facts about pregnancy, indoctrination of the pupils on terminology of unsafe & safe abortion, *six ways to prevent pregnancy with contraceptives, how to enjoy 'safe sex' without pregnancy:* false information on four types of abstinence of which none is the actual definition of abstinence to be *promoted among adolescents*. Active Basic Science, 2014 edition By Tola Anjorin, Okechukwu Okolo, Philias Yara, Bamidele Mutiu, Fatima Koki, Lydia Gbagu: See Pages 31- 34. Cry for Justice By Ademola Adefila; See Pages 60-61, 64-65, read the description of *having sex and sexual experience*. Stigma By Samson O Shobayo, See the pages. *The book encourages sexual relationship with HIV patients; kissing*. Basic Science & Technology for Junior Secondary School 1, 2 and 3: By W.K Hamzat, S. Bakare: See Pages 29- 47 Page 48-52 Page 64 Pages 67- 73 and Pages 86 of the three books which *promote abortion, LGTB, masturbation and safe-sex with condoms*. New Concept English for Senior Secondary Schools for SSS2, Revised edition (2018 edition) By J Eyisi, A Adekunle, T Adepolu, F Ademola Adeoye, Q Adams and, J Eto, See *Pages 103- 104 that contain obscene and vulgar expressions* such as : “small men always thinking small and acting small ”and these vulgar words:. *“He swore by the grey hairs of his head and his penis… even by the cunt of his own mother”*. It is high time Nigerian parents woke up to their parental responsibilities. Parents are the primary educators of their children. They cannot shirk this responsibility under the excuse that they are working hard to eke out a living. Most social vices in Nigeria today are caused by failed parenting. Failed parenting engenders armed robbery, banditry and kidnapping. This is regrettable. *The family institution, unarguably, is indeed the fundamental unit of society*. The family is the natural context in which children imbibe those cherished values which form the superstructures for the building of our national ethos. Therefore, parents should rediscover themselves and reinvigorate their respective families to enable them to parent their own children to be responsible citizens. Our civilization is imperiled when families are imperiled. Please read and forward to other groups. #Copied |

Buhari launches Agenda 2050 to create 165 million jobs President Muhammadu Buhari has launched the Nigeria Agenda 2050 aimed at increasing real Gross Domestic Product growth by seven percent and creating 165 million new jobs across the country. The launch took place shortly before the commencement of this week’s Federal Executive Council meeting at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja. It comes about seven weeks after the FEC approved the policy document on March 15 and nearly three months after the National Economic Council endorsed the Agenda. In his remarks, the President Buhari asserted that the vision is a product of a dynamic knowledge based economy to provide sustainable development by 2050. QUESTION OF THE DAY PLS ADVISE HER I got married to my husband last year and her elder brother who resides in Canada came down for the wedding. I didn't know that after the wedding he started chatting my younger sister who was one of my asobi. The guy came down this Easter to declare interest of marrying my immediate younger sister. His the senior brother to my husband and Di Okpala to the family while I'm the senior sister to the fiancee (my sister) I have tried talking my sister out of the marriage so she can find another family to marry from but she remained adamant. My question is who is now the senior wife in that family since I'm married to the younger brother to her fiance. Is it proper for two blood sisters to marry from same family ? My parents do not seem bothered because the Canada guy is very rich. |

DO YOU KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN UK, BRITAIN, ENGLAND? England is a country just as Nigeria, and its capital is London just like Abuja is the capital of Nigeria. Great Britain is a collection of 3 countries which came together as one country and has its capital as London. Those 3 countries are: 1. England, 2. Scotland and 3. Wales. When you include Northern Ireland to these 3 countries, they become United Kingdom (union of four nations) Viz: 1. England, 2. Scotland, 3. Wales, and 4. Northern Ireland. That is why it is referred to as the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Collectively, it is taken as a country. And when this is the case, London is its capital. Note however that the individual nations all have their own respective capitals. Accordingly, the capital of Scotland is Edinburgh, Wales is Cardiff; Northern Ireland is Belfast; England is London. Ps : Northern Ireland is not to be mistaken for the Republic of Ireland. The latter is a separate country. Its capital is Dublin. Thank you. |
