FellaG: I was in Uyo 2weeks ago..u will shed tears for them.
Massive unemployment.the youths sit to play draft on a working day.the girls have slept in all the hotels. I even went to Tropicana and for the first time in my life,I was sweating in the cinema whilst watching John wick 4.(and we were only Abt 15 persons watching).they cannot even afford the 3k to watch it. they even took light three times and the movie had to be start afresh on one ocassion.inside the mall, the acs are not cooling.a terrible experience. The politicians are the richest in the state..u know what that means. infact they give NEPA light one hour three times a day.1 hr by morn,1 hr by evening and 1 hr by 2am. Leave propaganda those guys are really suffering. The aircraft I took to uyo and back was relatively empty..the average akwa ibomite cannot cough out 65k to fly one-way.
Look at the colorized photos above carefully, both sides of the road,do you see any sign of prosperity?
Nb...I stayed for 1 month These are all lies. |

lordaltruist: I was hoping I would catch an idiot like you to put you in your place. If not for Akpabio would you have the audacity to say anything here? Akpabio transformed Akwa Ibom into what it is known today. Nobody knew Akwa Ibom until Akpabio took over government and brought it to like light. What did Udom do? Playing ethnic politics. When Akpabio was on seat every region felt his government even his concentration was more on the state capital. Even up till today his legacies still stand out. Udom killed Uyo and Akwa Ibom of what Akpabio made it, Akwa Ibom was fun to be when Akpabio was on seat but today it's the opposite. I was embarrassed to call myself Akwa Ibomite when I visited Uyo last year December compared to the Uyo I have visited 10-14years ago. If you are sincere you would agree with me that it is Akpabio who made Akwa Ibom to be known because we were only referred to as Calabar people without differentiating Cross River from Akwa Ibom. Are you talking about being known or actual development? I shouldn't respond to this because you started this argument with an insult. It still boils down to what I said, Akpabio had very good publicity but Udom performed better with meaningful projects. Both Governors did well, but IN MY OPINION..Udom is the better. |

Shukuma, Nigeria does not start and end in Anambra. Nigeria consists of 36 states including FCT. What you should explain is how Peter Obi will get 2% votes in core northern states.
Or you think the crapy online poll is what inec will use for announcing the winner? Christian voters in the North East and North central. Are you aware that Christians constitute more than 40% of voters in the North East? |

bender79: Have you ever seen where a court in Africa unseated a president? My brother the best Atiku can get is cancellation in some areas. However, judges also weigh the implications of removing a seating president in climes such as Nigeria and prefer to kill it with technicalities. Same thing happened to buhari and Yaradua in 2007 There is always a first time. If Atiku has huge evidence of voters supression like it is reported, the court will cancel the election call for a re-run and ask army to stay away this time. Go online now, check the list of supreme court judges try do a little background check on them you'd see there are mostly affiliated to the PDP. How many cases has PDP lost at the supreme court level? Buhari chases these people around and you think they'd pass on the opportunity to pay him back and be free. Now ask yourself, why is Apc so scared of Atiku going to court? There have tried to blackmail him to accept defeat. There are echoes in the corridors of power that Supreme court would get one on Buhari and his cabal for all they've done to them. This is solely my thoughts and analysis from how events has unfolded for the last 4years. If i was atiku i would take advantage of Buhari's fight with the Judges. What if i tell you, atiku knew from the beginning he would not win on first ballot because of massive rigging plans of the apc? He made feb 23rd evidence collection day by wiring all his agents with body cameras and drones in most places. Some videos you see people thumb printing for Apc are just a few of the thousands of evidences they have. Even Buhari knows he stands at the mercy of the same supreme court judges he has tormented. I rest my case |

Nackzy: Sir i wish but i doubt, that was the more reason they removed Walter Onnengehn, Because they knew he could decide to favour Atiku, Everyone in that hierarchy today are loyal to APC government , that will Never work...APC are criminals, They have corrupted Buhari who had a very nice mindset towards this country, they want to eat the National cake until they are satisfied , at the Detriment of 100 millions poor Nigerians You don't know what you are saying. Apart from Tanko and one supreme court judge who is the last person in the hierachy, all other judges have soft spot for PDP. Now, this is how supreme court works: Each Judge in a panel writes its own individual judgement and the judgement with the highest vote will be the verdict. Big question, can Buhari get 3 judges of supreme court in a panel of 5 to write judgement in his favour after all the embarrassment he has given to them? This will be Buhari Vs supreme court battle of power. |

Mynd44: Nigerians are too ignorant of their own country and laws.
The court cannot decide the winners of election anymore. The senate made sure of that.
The worst the court can do is cancel the election in areas that have issues and order a re-run there so smack, you are back to elections.
You are a Mod, you are supposed to bd neutral here no matter your political affiliations.
Then again, anyone who actually thinks Atiku won that election needs to reevaluate his/her thinking process |

blackboy: None. PMB has prepared for this election since. All security boss are his and judiciary just before the election was taken . You lie.. supreme court judges are not his. You need to go learn how judgement works at that level. In a panel of 5 judges, majority carries the day. If 3 out 5 rule in favour of Atiku buhari is gone. Now, let me lead you on something.... When Tanko was swearing in tribunal, how many Supreme court judges attended?? Only one as was reported. I dont need a prophet to tell me that this will be a battle between Buhari vs Supreme court Judges that he has embarrased. In 180days we'd see who carries the day. |
Romance › Re: My Relationship Of 3 Years May End Because Of Wedding Date. by Eden007(m): 5:17am On Dec 21, 2018 |
Dogalmighty17: I have dated this girl for three years. We fixed a date for the wedding for late this year. However, events seemingly out of my control necessitated that I shift the wedding to February next year. Initially, she was against the shift but I pleaded with her.
Sometime in August this year, we had a disagreement because I noticed she was being disrespectful towards me. She is hardworking, cooks well and is very business oriented. But her sense of independence makes her struggle with submission to her man. I told her how uncomfortable I was with it and she's promised to make amends. She has but from time to time, her old self comes out.
I was at a loss on what to do that I had to voice out the issue to her family. When they asked her, she told them that since I requested for a shift in wedding date, she became uncomfortable with the relationship. Her family then told her to call off the relationship. I got to know about this decision and I called her and she said she was going to obey the wishes of her family. Her mom also told me that since I keep complaining about her daughters lack of respect, I should leave her daughter alone. It took serious pleading from me before the family accepted the continuing of the relationship. They asked me that since the date I initially agreed for the wedding wasn't going to be convenient for me, when then do I think will be convenient? Since I didn't want to loose my woman, I mentioned February. The desperation on my path was much.
My mom on the other hand wants a wedding in April. She has said February is not convenient for her. All my pleas have fell on deaf ears. She has threatened not to bless the union and has even gone as far as threatening to curse me with her breasts if I wed in February.
My girl has refused to even entertain the thought of shifting the date again. She maintains that it is better that we outrightly call off the wedding, than shift it again. I understand her fears. She feels that I may just be wasting her time. I am not
This is my dilemma. Should I go with my woman who has spent three years of her life with me or do I go with my mom?
I must also mention that my mom was informed of the initial date of the wedding over a year ago. But she foot dragged in her support for months until much later in the year that I now had to take issues into my own hands. Brother please...DO NOT MARRY THAT GIRL.. i repeat...DO NOT MARRY THAT GIRL!!! |

LaBozz: I have been dating this girl for almost a year now and things have been going smooth with us until recently. I just don't know were the desperation for marriage came from. Now we barely have a normal conversation without the marriage issue coming up.
Though I don't have a steady job per say, I am a business man and am able to make myself a good some of money every week which isn't so bad. She is also working and makes around 60k every month. I have been telling her to relax a little bit so we can plan properly and get ourselves ready for the life time journey together, but she won't listen.
Her own is that in her place once a girl has graduated from school everyone is expecting her to get married. She will even bring up issues of the young girls getting married in her church and she is the only single were she works even though she is actually the youngest in her office.
She is just 24 years of age and almost 25 so she keeps saying she set a deadline for herself to get married before 25. The worse part is that sometimes she tries to threaten me that so many guys are asking for her hand in marriage but she doesn't want them, its me she wants.
This whole desperation is getting on my nerve and I really don't want to rush into marriage because her people want her to get married. So am thinking of calling the relationship off so that she can go and marry one of those men she said is asking her hand in marriage and I will wish her all the best.
Just so you know, am not trying to be tribalistic here, she is Yoruba and said that's how things are done in their culture so I don't know if that's true or she is just making all that up. Let her go bro! Let her go... |

It could be directly or indirectly.
As we approach the 2019 general elections, i will like to suggest we the electorates irrespective of who we support, do not base our judgement of any candidate on INTEGRITY.
Lets support a candidate that has a clear blue print to build strong institutions that can tackle our major problems in this country.
I will like to know what your opinion about this is." Thanks. EDIKAN OKPOSIN |

WisdomFlakes: I don't believe this news because if it is true then it would mean that Saraki and his party are really pushing their luck and that would be his dumbest move yet. It is already bad enough that he and his deputy (who are both from a minority party) are ruling over the majority party, a development that will logically be difficult to sustain except the APC just decides to let it slide.
Now he wants to declare defecting PDP Senators' seats vacant?? How is their action any different from his and the others that did the exact same thing? This had better be fake news because e no make sense. The constitution clearly states that defections by lawmakers can only be allowed if there is a faction in the lawmaker's party. In the case of defectors from APC to PDP there is a faction called R-apc which even has its own Chairman. For PDP currently, there is no faction at any level. |

If there is apptitude test, it is completely a formality. People selected by slots to state Governors, senators...etc gets automatic employment. Very few would be on merit. Most top politicians have their eyes on this job. Currently DPR is the most lucreative Job in Nigeria. Not even about the salaries and allowances. There are many more hidden incentives. |
