darkelf: Komekn, why is Ebere still in QPR?
He is obviously too good for the championship.
Is there a tangible reason he isn't in a better club yet? I was thinking you may know why A bit inconsistent. He was linked with a move to Spuds last season. |

komekn: Aribo for me is a battler and hard man in the midfield similar to Ndidi not the most skilful and technically gifted he reminds me of a certain Etuhu that played for Nigeria.
Onomah and Eze are technicial gifted players with Onomah the better of the two for now, who can play as AM. Also you have Ovie who can not be ignored excelled in Glasgow Rangers in a league that's not as good as the Championship by a considerable stretch.
The dark horse that is going to suprise all of you this season in my speculative opinion is Chuks Aneke now at Charlton. Aribo is quite good on the ball. He's a traditional two way b2b mid. You are right about Chuks. I wouldn't mind seeing him in our Olympics team. |

We have like 10 brilliant wingers but no midfielder That's why we need to pick the likes of Aribo, Onomah and Eze |

MetalJigsaw: Super Eagles Coach Rohr Makes New Demand From NFF
concisenews.global Jul 24, 2019 1:52 PM
Nigeria Vs Tunisia: What Rohr Said After Super Eagles Clinched Bronze Coach Gernot Rohr/File Photo Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has said he would head for a refresher course if local coaches are carried along, Concise News reports.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) had said Rohr would go on a refresher course in Bayern Munich, Germany despite calls for his sack after leading Nigeria to a bronze medal finish at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON)
However, the German gaffer has said he would only go for the course if his assistant coaches, mostly Nigerians, get the same opportunity.
“Yes, it is a good idea from President Pinnick I think because every coach regardless of the experience you have needs to go on refresher courses almost all the time to learn latest trends in coaching,” he told Sporting Life.
“I want to be better than I am and my going to Bayern Munich is to know how the technical crew is doing in the domestic league and in the CAF Champions League.
“I am German and French also. I have had a look at situations in a club like Lyon, Bordeaux, Paris Saint Germain and even Bayern Munich also before now.
“But it will be good for me to refresh it with another opportunity with Bayern Munich.
“I, however, feel that this opportunity shouldn’t be for me alone but that it should be for other coaches in Nigeria who are working with the national teams.”
According to the former Niger coach, “I don’t believe that I know it all already and I am happy that it is President Pinnick’s idea but this programme shouldn’t be for me alone.
“There should be supplementary programmes for our assistant coaches also and for young coaches like Victor Agali who is having is a diploma in German.
“I don’t know when I will start yet. We have to wait if this association continues. My decision is not made yet. I need a few periods of rest to think about it.
“We will see but if it will continue, I have to start the programme immediately and it must be with the other coaches too to make them better.” Very considerate of Rohr if true. However - I want all his naija assistants sacked. Salisu and Aloy Agu can go Bleep themselves!! |

Garba had a professional attitude and always played like he would die for the Super Eagles. No unnecessary showmanship, just directness
I wonder where he is now. He is a true National hero He's part of NFF's technical committee. He got a degree in Accounting after he retired. |

AIG07: See crowd...
Great reception. The players seeing such crowds welcome them, will feel more like a TRUE HERO-such a great honor. No amount of club trophies can be equated to 1 international trophy for one's nation.
How I wish Nigeria players can don the countries jersey and play with and for pride. But money is their only drive. It's a very rare privilege to lift an international trophy.
Instead for them to learn from their predecessors (2000-2010) generation of SEs who despite their potentials and talents failed consecutively to lift a single international trophy due to their lack of patriotism and loyalty to the GWG coupled with indiscipline. The likes of Martins, Yak, Osaze, Taiwo, Udeze, Obodo, Agahowa, Garba, Kalu Uche, etc will look back and regret failing themselves. Olympic Gold medal was Kanu's saving grace.Quality wise, that generation were the closest to the Golden generation I don't think you should be putting Garba Lawal in the same sentence with "indiscipline" and "lack of patriotism" He was one of our most dedicated players. |

safarigirl: I repeat, not in France.
As far as the French are concerned, everyone is even and you don't have to break your back to be chosen as a black person, over a white person.
That is why their team has a majority black presence, or you think they can't find caucasians to fill the black roles? Not too long ago, Laurent Blanc and a couple of French officials were caught taking about capping the quota of black and Arab players at academies that feed the French NT to 30 percent. Those guys aren't as open as they seem. |

We are just good in criticism , you call us crazy country when it comes to football an we dont even support our own league?

timay: But CIV had Yaya Toure that can do all this things even better than our very own Mikel na, yet they didn't win it with their golden generation of Drogba And co.
Those teams were not just luck, it has nothing to do with their Midfield. Because those teams played the finals multiple times but they just miraculous loose either by a fluke one goal margin, like We saw Senegal yesterday , or they loose on penalty shoot out just like Ghana and CIV in the past.
So luck was the element they lacked, not a midfield orchestrator like you implied Yaya Toure is mainly a B2b midfielder. Dude is not a controller. |

Goke7: am sad ighalo is retiring but do i blame him, No because of our big mouths and the way we bash players even if they have done well for us in the past. The threats to his life and family after the world cup truly got to him. It's high time as Nigerians we try to respect these guys.
When I see the way we even bash musa, i just weak despite what he has done. If these guys are retiring, let us allow them be jare. When you play for a football crazy country like ours - that's just how it is. Football is one of the few things that makes us happy so pressure is crazy. I feel sorry for the guy sha. I think this is a problem short term. |

XhosaNostra: Why can't people like yourself run for office, I wonder. You seem clear-headed. Well, I wish you guys all the best in finding a viable solution because it's going to be a mammoth task to tackle everything that needs to be done so you can have a functional society. It'll take at least 20 - 30 years to get the country at a decent level. Before we do that - the masses need serious reorientation. At this point - I don't mind if it comes from a dictator. Democracy is turning out to be just as bad as the military regime. |

Jaqenhghar: So true. This powe r thing is a total absolute disgrace. The irony is the solution is not hard I mean these things are supposed to be routine. I dont know why people who dont have electricity be sitting and insulting black americans. I try to not say anyrhing about black americans or other countries when my own country is a total joke. I tell you. It's all fun and good doing that nonsense as kids - but when real life hits you - you know you're just deceiving yourself. No time for unnecessary banter. Crazy thing is some people don't know just how messed up the country is. It's like they're under a spell or something. |
Politics › Re: Sen. Orji Kalu To African Leaders: Emulate Late Nelson Mandela (Photos) by edi287: 7:50am On Jul 20, 2019 |
Jaqenhghar: You have said it. It sounds scary but its the truth. I keep saying it if you take Buhari and make him president of the US he will be forced to work because the people there wont take rubbish. The people have established a system such that you either work or quit. Same way if you bring Obama to Niveria he will fail woefully I mean - we have taken lack of constant power supply for almost 60 years!! That's why it pisses me off when some mumu folks insult black americans and call them "lazy" and acting like "perpetual victims" like Nigeria isn't a 100 times worse. I bet you those guys would never take half the shit we do from these frauds we call leaders!! |

XhosaNostra: I feel you & trust me, I understand. What are your thoughts on separating the country? Honestly, after what I read and heard during the last elections - it might just be the best thing. I still think the problems of the country is mainly from the elites. I don't think Biafra will be the "Singapore Of Africa" or whatever it is my Igbo brothers are harping on about. Best bet would be regionalism/fiscal federalism. |
Politics › Re: Sen. Orji Kalu To African Leaders: Emulate Late Nelson Mandela (Photos) by edi287: 7:39am On Jul 20, 2019 |
XhosaNostra: Yes, Lesufi! I cannot stand the guy. All he does is go around attending to racial issues, to score himself points with the stupid masses when we have bigger issues in our system. Now that you mention it, Mashaba would make a great president because he's not a populist. I don't know if it's a positive - but at least he isn't the finance MEC (probably not a positive as education is important for the future). Cyril needs to grow a pair. I had high hopes for him but now he is looking too weak. |

XhosaNostra: I can feel the bolded. The Nigerian issue is a very unfortunate one, it's almost spiritual, but I really hope things change for you guys. You deserve a lot better than the kind of leadership you have. People should really start to vote with their heads. But after what happened during your last elections though, I'm hopeless. Maybe you're on a purge. It gets worse before it gets better type of thing. Honestly I don't think any decent person would want to waste their time ruling the country. Not worth the hassle. Jesus himself would find it difficult. Need to start from the grassroots and get rid of the clowns we call leaders...from Local governments up to the national assembly. What pisses me off is how the so called "technocrats" that contested last year have all gone into hiding instead of making plans for the next elections. They'll pop up when it's 6 months to the elections and scream "change". So ridiculous! |
Politics › Re: Sen. Orji Kalu To African Leaders: Emulate Late Nelson Mandela (Photos) by edi287: 11:54pm On Jul 19, 2019 |
XhosaNostra: You are in need of good leadership lol. Nigerian politicians are unbelievable They're responsible for the majority of your issues as a country. They come across backward & inept the lot of them. Perhaps people should also stop voting along tribal lines of they want change. If leaders are truly the reflection of the masses - then Nigeria is beyond help. Deep down I know (hope) it isn't so but only God can explain why we have had shitty leaders. No one cares as long as it's their tribe providing the shittiness. It's just too sad. |
