Bomb-making factory discovered in Kaduna http://tribune.com.ng/sun/index.php/, ered-in- kaduna Written by Hassan Ibrahim, Kaduna Sunday, 24 April 2011 A local bomb manufacturing factory was, at the weekend, discovered in Kaduna by the police. While conducting journalists round the factory, which could be mistaken for a residential building, the Police Commissioner in charge of election duties in Kaduna State, Mr. Haruna John, said that was the place where bomb exploded on Friday. The factory is located at the Rafin Guza area of Kaduna North Local Government, a few kilometres to the main city. He said the bomb killed one and injured eight others who had been arrested. Haruna said the Inspector General of Police, Hafiz Ringim, “has constituted a high-powered investigation team which will soon arrive Kaduna to investigate the various bomb explosions in the state and other parts of the country in recent time with a view to bringing the culprits and their sponsors to book. “Men of the State Security Service (SSS), the military and the police have begun intense investigation into the sources of the bombs, while the team set up by the IGP, led by an Assistant Inspector General of Police, will soon arrive Kaduna to join in the investigations.”

. . .repulsive. "nnnyyyaaammaaa", Einstein said with a grimace on his face. Aunt sylvia looked up him from the floor and asked,"wetin you come mean by that one young man ? ". Eistein replied, "nothing Aunty, just remembered our pastor instructed us to fast for 5 days, that is we should also abstain from all worldly pleasures in that period". Aunt Sylvia lay quiet for sometime before replying,"well i applied for 6 days casual leave so i'll be here when you finish your . . Fast", deliberately pronouncing the fast slowly for emphasis. Einstein swallowed saliva, "gulp".

Guy, take it from me, that is the wisest decision in this situation. Some people are blood angry and venting retaliation in the southern part of the state that the state could violently cease to exist as an entity if very firm security measures aren't put in place.

Any mother who let's her child awaiting service go to any of the affected states doesn't love that child. Even my own kaduna state isn't recommended since one could still be deployed to Zaria and other northern parts of the state inhabited by these people.

@9dynasty, i advise you to go to an military barrack and explain your plight. As soon as things cool down take the next available bus out of that place. Good luck my brother.

As evil as the act is, are these corpers reetarded?

You know people are out to kill Xtians and the first place you rush to is a fcking Church?

And you get to the church and you were not intelligent enough to arm yourself?

How stewpid does it get?

There is no way I will live in any of the reetarded Northern states and not arm myself even in times of peace.

If I can't get a gun, I will get bow and arrow, I will get  machete. Preferably all of them.
I think your statement is grossly insensitive. Like i said i had to spend my first two nights as a corps member after Orientation camp in Paiko there. Do you think the NYSC provides accomodation for every Corps member ? Family house is a place where most corps members spend their 1st few weeks in before securing the funds to get their own place.  Redeemed Corps members have got RCCF just about 5 or 6 kilometers from there. I hope they were not touched too. Also on David Mark road, not far from IBB's and Abdulsalam's house is a Corpers' lodge, i hope those guys there will be safe since there's a police barrack near it.
NYSC › Re: Rioters Lock In 50 NYSC Members, Set Building On Fire by edoyad(m): 10:00am On Apr 20, 2011
. . . They forcibly locked the Corps members in and set the building on fire. But the leader of the Corps members, fondly called  Papa by his colleagues, found the strength to break  down the door and set his colleagues free. “Some had burns,” one of the lucky boys and girls told The Nation at the Army Barracks, where they are taking refuge. He said they were initially few at the “Family House”,  as the secretariat is called by NCCF members, but  many rushed in to escape the rioting near their homes  in other parts of the city. “We were taken by surprise. We couldn’t retrieve  anything from the fire,” he said, pleading for  anonymity so that, according to him, his relatives  would not panic over his safety. The building was smouldering yesterday. The irate youths also burnt the NCCF 18- seater bus,  which was bought two months ago, and a motorcycle  belonging to the fellowship. . .
shocked OMG ! I spent my first two nights as a corps member in minna in that NCCF family house. I remember that white toyota bus, it had 'jesus corpers' painted in front of it. It's located at Tunga, Minna not far from the present governor's personal house.

"Nigeria is roughly divided in half between a mainly Muslim north and predominately Christian south. Buhari, whose party has rejected the results and filed a challenge to them, has not spoken publicly, but condemned the rioting in brief comments to the BBC's Hausa-language service. Police were providing few details on the situation. While the initial rioting began over allegations that Jonathan's party had sought to rig the vote, the situation appeared to be more complex in some instances. One man claiming to be a witness to unrest in the town of Zonkwa in the south of Kaduna state said on local radio that clashes broke out early Tuesday when Christians celebrating Jonathan's victory attacked Muslims there. Muslim residents fought back and police were outnumbered, according to the man who said he had taken refuge at a police station along with a number of others. "The Christians succeeded in burning our homes, our vehicles," he said. "They killed many and threw some of the dead in open wells. Many dead bodies litter the streets." An inhabitant of Kaduna city claimed that residents from the mostly Christian south of the state had come to the area on Sunday and targeted Muslims. The resident, Abubakar Aliyu, told AFP by phone he also saw police shoot seven people and other locals told him that bodies were also thrown into wells there. None of the claims could be immediately verified. "

Big frigging lie. Big frigging lie. Big frigging lie. liar liar. The muslims all over the north started all these mayhem. Everyone knows this and no amount of sugar coating will change the truth. Look at bauchi, kano, and all other parts of the north. this mayhem is as a result of the CPC candidate losing and not because the christians were jubilating. Liars. The truth WILL be revealed. Mai tatsine started this in the 80s and it has only gotten worse. God will punish everyone who kills in the name of Allah/God.

The reprisals would equally take large number of lives, unfortunately the hausas who'll be killed are the tolerant ones who feel comfortable living amongst christians. This is terrible and i'm so sad that people like Buhari and Bakare will go scot free after their inflammatory utterances sad

This is a firm statement and I salute Dr. Fredrick Fasehun, if the whole South retaliates in equal measure, this whole madness will cease. I think it's already too late for warnings, the number of innocent people killled in the affected areas (corps members and workers) of which yorubas form a reasonable number is enough to make Awo cry in his grave. Used the elections to unleash mayhem on other ethnicities.

My Close Friends i have lost, so you all supporting any of the candidate of last election should stop for a second and try to have a sense to reason and also wonder what if this people where your relations.

Good day my fellow Nairaladers for those of you who will see my post as offensive please bear with me, Tomi is the first son and the only male child of his family with 2 other little siblings looking up to him , his parents are uneducated. they struggled to put Tomi through school to become a graduate, despite all our economic odds. only to be killed by the Nigeria's Government insensitivity towards security reports, A government that provides nothing but take the lives of our love one all in the name of Religious violence and ethnic violence which can be curtail if our security operatives are adequately funded. As of this morning with out exaggeration we have lost more than 12 corpers here in bauchi i don't know of other northern state. All this is in their bid to get into power our loves ones has been sacrificed when all their children are abroad schooling. they proclaim a peaceful election when we are in tears here in the north for our brothers and sisters that have been killed in a violence that can be avoided if only security report were taken seriously. From the bombings going ever since before the election and the one that took place the night before election it is enough to put all security agency on alert but i guess that is not a problem to them after all they have been declared the winner so all security personnels can go back to their various position. On the other hand the losers did not behave themselves as through statesmen, the three of the big losers are from the north so no body should peg it on buhari alone they ought to come out and give a statement to their illiterate youth they keep deceiving all in the name of religion and zoning.
