Look at the speed the bigoted mods are using to hide posts. Were the reverse to be the case and the yoruba e warriors attack a thread where an easterner is involved in crime, they will all go to sleep and pretend all is well.

Davo93: Addressed To: Seun, Mukina2 and other forum moderators

Hello Sir/Ma,

I will try to be succinct in this open letter as much as possible. I commend your untired effort towards making our Nairaland a very wonderful online community. You and your team are doing a great job!

I will like to draw your attention to some contentious issues that have been severally raised but yet unattended to. The issues are;
1.) The ability of a user to deactivate his/her account.
2.) Creation of a 'delete' tab on every users' posts and topics

Without much rigmaroling, we are more than sure that you are fully aware of these requests, especially Mr Seun due to your 'foot-steps' traced to several threads that talked so much about the requests and reasons why it should be added here. It has also come to our full notice that staffs are even been rude and unwise to users pleading for these features implementation. All the for-explained are explicitely evident in the topic with its link below.
https://www.nairaland.com/993846/ok-seun-how-close-nairaland

Our privacy is paramount and very important to us!

Our Requests;
1.) We demand an unreserved apology for the rude and unwise ways members were harrased by the forum staffs for demanding these necessary features.
2.) We demand that any moderator found to be part of this rude act should be severely punished.
3.) We demand a lucid explanation why our requests have been turned to by deaf ears of the forum board.
4.) We demand an immediate and unconditional implementation of those requested features.

We also demand a levelled playing ground on this matter if truely you are sensitive to our plight.

In line with these requests, we are giving the forum board a 7-day ultimatum to fully yield to our beckoning because we believe it will take the learned computer gurus on the board's administration a tap of button to fix. To this effect, the time given commences this minute.

Failure to do this, we are going to mobilise a 100,000 Nairalanders for an e-protest to press home for our demands.

A luta continua! Victoria e certa!!

Pipsland78: A Nigerian terror suspect accused of trying to help al-Qaeda in Yemen appear before a United States federal courtroom on Friday.

Lawal Babafemi was accused of training with members of al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula and using his English skills to help publish the terrorist magazine “Inspire.” Judge John Gleason ordered Babafemi, also known as “Ayatollah Mustafa,” held without bail. No plea was entered, reports NBCnewyork.com.

Prosecutors said Babafemi is married with children in Nigeria and helped al-Qaeda attempt to recruit people who speak English to engage in acts of terror against Americans.

The FBI said Anwar al-Awlaki, the American cleric who became the al- Qeada commander in the Arabian Peninsula and was killed in a US drone strike, personally directed $9,000 be paid to Babafemi to assist in his recruitment efforts.

Sitting silently at a defense table, Babafemi wore a blue and white striped polo shirt as he listened to the hearing without the help of a translator.

superstar1: So aba is in Oyo state and Onitsha is in Kano abi?

Those mud houses are out heritage, our history and our story that is we hand over to generations down the line. You can't have such in your alaigbo because u guys are do rest dwellers without any noticeable town before civilization. You see mud, we see history and heritage.

If you don't like it, go and stand in the middle of Lagos -ibadan expressway, omo race ti o ni history, always waking up their parents with sliding tackle and once they have small money in their bank account, they are the Lord over their parents and village chiefs.
My observation in this forum is that immature yorubas always like poking the ibos. An innocuous thread such as this should not elicit tribal rants but the yorubas here often us it as an avenue to ridicule other tribes esp the ibos. If i may ask, apart from Lagos which is former capital, can these bigots point to me any other city in the southwest that rivals other parts of the east such as Enugu, Asaba and Uyo?

I known all that I needed to know about MJ. He's lived a confused life, he was a drug a addict, a junky, molesterrr and had a low self-esteem on his race and skin color before he became black/white.
I actually read the entire article cos i'm a die hard MJ fan. This is why it is good for both parents to adhere to the same faith. That way the kids will not get confused as to where their allegiance lies.

The other Chibuike is in a chairmanship tussle at the Nigeria Govnors Forum while the other Chibuike is slugging it out at the communionof Bishops forum. A good statement about the Ikwerre man and his consuming ambition, greed, avarice, egoism, low morals and despicability. This Bishop brings Rotimi Amechi’s picture clearer to the world.

Ngwakwe: If Abuja is not a State in this context, then Lagos is also ruled out from the list.

Both are Federal Capitals ( For Administration and Business purposes respectively). The pride of both cities are our common patrimony hence the original inhabitants are not more than 30% max. Embassies and Multi-nationals are located in both cities for our national interest.

Abia State carrys the first if my opinion counts.

PoliticsRe: Buhari Faults Clampdown On Boko-Haram Members by Efikman(m): 7:43am On Jun 03, 2013
It is a pity some of our western opposition tribalists on this page have been so blinded by their hatred for GEJ that they will support Buhariharam even if he declares an islamic state in Nigeria. This interview stinks of tribalism and religious bigotism. Pray tell me what is similar in the Bokoharam and ND millitant struggle? BH bombed churches every sunday, burnt schools, shot people randomly on d streets, bombed d police HQ, police stations, sacked L.G.As and declared islamic laws in utter disregard for our constitution, REFUSED to negotiate with the F.G but instead calling for Mr President to convert to islam, almost killed the Emir of Kano, stockpiled weapos and war arsenal e.t.c. The only sins of the ND militants was kidnapping and destruction of pipelines which they stopped to embrace amnesty when the F.G offered to negotiate. If Buhari at his old age cannot learn to be objective for once, then he is irredeemably doomed. The same reason he will NEVER be elected president in this country even if he runs 50 times.

[quote author=Ofonagoro ]Widows Will No Longer Drink Bath-water Of Their Dead Husbands In A/ibom

The custom allowing the seizure of deceased husbands properties and subjecting their widows to inhuman practices such as shaving of the head and making them drink the water used to bath their husbands, among others, have now become illegal in Akwa Ibom State.

The state government, in a bill passed by the House of Assembly and signed by the governor, Chief Godswill Akpabio, outlawed the custom which maltreat widows after the deaths of their husbands, declaring it as unlawful and inhuman.

In his Democracy Day speech, the governor declared that it had become unlawful for widows to be maltreated in Akwa Ibom, saying defaulters of the law risk fines and three years imprisonment.

While reacting on the new law, the First Lady of the state, Chief (Mrs) Unoma Ekaette Akpabio, commended the House of Assembly and the governor for the pro-women law, describing the passage of the law as a breakthrough for the womenfolk in the state.

According to her, “I appreciate the state House of Assembly and the state governor for standing with the womenfolk through this law. Akwa Ibom State has, in the last five years, shown itself as pro-masses and pro-women.”

smothly: There are many desperate men or guys out there,my advice to the ladies is that they should use their head and think well when they are in love.Love is unconditional and when their partner is giving them any condition whatsoever, means that love is getting sour.................be watchful and don't be blindfolded by love
Emmm.... Desperate guys? Last time i checked, it was ladies who are always desperate for marriage, love, petting, money e.t.c. Only thing we gain is that thing between your legz and its easily available in every street corner.
FamilyRe: Victims Of "You Must Get Pregnant For Me Or No Marriage" by Efikman(m): 9:11am On Jun 02, 2013
jmoore: 1- The lady got pregnant for the man. After six months the man died in a car accident, she was left devastated.

2-The lady got pregnant for the man. They got married but the woman had a miscarriage after the wedding. She never got pregnant again and the man left her and married another woman after 6 years of marriage.

3-The lady got pregnant for him. After five months the man told her the marriage will no longer take place. Reason? There is another woman pregnant for him and that is the one his mother wants to be his wife

Ladies beware of “you must get pregnant or no marriage” men. A man that loves you will never give you such a condition. A man that truly loves you will stand by you whether you get pregnant after marriage or not.

In most cases these guys have been sleeping around with many girls but they will not propose to them. How foolish it is for them to see a good girl and issue such a condition.
4. A lady got pregnant for a man, 3 months after they got married. Now they live happily ever after with 3 kids tongue
RomanceRe: Friends After Turning Down A Marriage Proposal? by Efikman(m): 9:01am On Jun 02, 2013
A girl i dated almost throughout school suggested we get married (i would call that a proposal) soon after i got my first job after NYSC. I was not ready then financially and otherwise and asked her that we should wait a litle longer. She said she couldn't wait and we lost contact after then. Next time i saw her, she was already married. I am married now too, and we are still friends, even though i have a feeling she is still feeling some resentment against me for not marrying her.
