The true actors are MEND until its proved otherwise. No sane person will believe its not them just because they said so.
Why won't they say so, they:
- Bombed our capital city
- Absorbed and forgiven in less than 10hrs
- Invited to hangout with the 1st Citizen for a cup of coffee
- Later went to NTA for a TV Reality Show, tagged "its not MEND"

If you are the one fed so tenderly, will you still bit such finger huh huh huh

Sports › Re: Call Fifa’s Bluff, Ositelu Advises Jonathan by egift(m): 1:52pm On Oct 07, 2010
Is Mr President going to get any boost on this? NO!

He half-bakedly suspended the Super Eagles. That was cool. He should have manned up to his actions. He saw 90% facebookers (not Nigerians) shouting nooooo on his Fans Page, he changed his mind.

But now FIFA have seen other reasons to ban Nigeria - it becomes a big slap on his face - WHY:

- He cannot be seen begging FIFA (he is not that humble)
- He cannot bluf FIFA (it will not earn him support)
- He cannot claim credit (when he took such action, he later changed his mind)
- He cannot suspend Nigeria after the FIFA's ban expires (that will be impossible)
- He cannot thank FIFA (that will be lame)
- He cannot release the 'dogs' (who bombed us on 1st Oct)
- He cannot use the opportunity to restructure our Sport sector (it will look like 1st Oct Anniversary plan - that is up for probe 4 days after execution)

What can he do then:
Sit back, want us to protest online, if FIFA accepts, He will issue a statement "I have been ironing things out with FIFA" and "I have succeeded". And like Akala "Beaf" will type "Up JEGA, Up JEGA, Up JEGA, Up JEGA, Up JEGA, Up JEGA, ---.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-." grin grin grin

The FG should compel the SA govt to ensure Henry Okah names the presidential aide or review his call logs.

I think the former will be better so we know the way to go.
Story grin No be FG that claimed the know who. Now every government apparatus is working over-drive to bend us to believe Mr President's wrongs are right.

Simple apology to Nigerians for incompetence should have just been the first step to start - Should we be expecting it huh grin grin grin
Politics › Re: Transcript Of Henry Okah's Interview On Al Jazeera by egift(m): 8:32am On Oct 07, 2010
I believe Okah more than the Government, Why:

- Okah's claims would have given GEJ a big lift (so if opponents wrote the script, did they also gave Mr. President the parts he played  huh
- GEJ rush to absorb MEND be less than 18hrs after the incident without reading a single security report.
- He told us he knew who did it (Guess what he don't - only if Okah had acted kiss)
- He claim to know MEND so well, I wonder if he is a member or Sponsor
Politics › Re: Stick To Issues, Ibb Advised by egift(m): 8:14am On Oct 07, 2010
U are being simplistic. . GEJ as President has to consolidate the amnesty programme started by yar adua by the way
His meeting with ex-militants in Abuja is a non issue cause yar adua met with them even when they were still blowing up pipelines

The issue is that u cannot blame an email address for bombing abuja
The faces thatr are associated with that email have come out and said its not them that did the bombing

so it remains to be seen but the logical conclusion is that it is henry okah in conjuction with criminal elements in Nigeria
paid by rogue politicians like ibb, atiku and dokpesi. . we shall see. . the truth will come out and IBB will be shamed
Here is the problem with most of his supporters here (like you too) on this matter:
- Militants (except for the few freedom fighters - most are common criminals)  they now have conference meeting in Aso Rock Villa - Is GEJ telling our Youth to aspire to blow up things to also get invitations huh - Its a sad example

- You put the cart before the horse. Making arrests and blaming of your opponents before getting a single security report or analysis is very wrong and jeopardizes your future efforts on that issue.

- If you believe Atiku/IBB (interestingly only your opponents) are criminals prosecute them independently - instead of hiding behind a National tragedy to witch-hunt them.

- Why arrest Dokpesi when you don't have anything against him (ok, I see, he was celebrating the Vuvuzela he expected Okah to send from South Africa to change the story of MEND).

- He told us 18hrs he know those behind it, THE TRUTH? He doesn't. So he lied - is he going to apologize - Never (Oga is always right).  grin grin grin

DEAL WITH IT
Its true, especially since he is surrounding himself with politicians who have bottomless pockets grin grin grin Any day he acts against them, the will take him to the cleaners (after-all they made him).

Worst of all he have added militants (whatever makeup name they use) to the list. So if Nigerians refuse him anything, he will send out the 'dogs'. Please stop him, now you have the chance.

IBB wants to leave a legacy and correct atone for his past. GEJ want to make a name (but he is not in charge - so many proxies, headed by OBJ) grin grin grin

And an Igbo Presidency in 2015 and additional State in Southeast are also a very important item on the table for me.
Politics › Re: See The Next President (vision) by egift(m): 7:35am On Oct 07, 2010
@ Poster:
Your vision is ok for you - but it will keep Nigeria in circle and even backwards. For me, my choice of candidate should have the following plan:

- Education: Pay salaries, review school curriculum, build more academic infrastructure, digitize our campuses (with a unified DB), Retraining Teachers Programmes (maybe annually), establish sanity/seriousness in our education system, etc.

- Economy: Establish Creativity Funds (for funding creative ideas of Nigerian youths), Sound monetary policies, review and implement existing policies, diversify our economy, etc.

- Agriculture: Revamp this sector (funding, export, irrigation, mechanized, extension programmes, and more).

- Infrastructures: We need a lot of it (roads, rails, monuments, tourism, water, housing, etc)

- Others: healthcare, sports, youth empowerment, security, judicial system, armed forces, etc.

For now IBB is the best bet (in record and promise) then followed by GEJ (but have not said he will do).
Politics › Re: Jega And The Northern Agenda by egift(m): 7:01am On Oct 07, 2010
Am not good at conspiracy, but here is what I think about you points:
Number One:
The extension of time was a big mistake on both Jega and GEJ (Presido should have "sold his cake when it was warm" instead of hoping to make it Hot. As people learn more about him "the cake is getting cold". Now in your calculations, the North is inching closer than they were a week after the Presido's Fans Fair at Eagles Square.

On Number Two:
The amount was intended to be an opportunity to get all that can be, since the emphasis was not on providing for Nigeria current need but conducting good elections months away. So for INEC, it was: "if you want it that much, then pay more" or "live with whatever you get". Since we want the best, we pressure NASS and Senate to give it to them. But here is the truth "Its Not The Amount That Determines Free And Fair Elections". So we are going to get exactly what we usually get "a Do-Or-Die" elections grin grin grin
Politics › Re: Big shame: 6 Days After; Government Still Searching For Culprits Behind Bombings by egift(m): 6:43am On Oct 07, 2010
Now we know the following:
- Okah was right (it was the hope that he will act that made them do all the hasty tasks they did)
- The arrest of Dokpesi was a big blow (since Okah did not send the Vuvuzela from SA on behalf of MEND)
- Al Jazeera and other media are making it very difficult for the Govt to bend us into their curve of "truth".
- Within 18hrs we were told they knew who did it (but up till now, non is at hand)
- the current evidence (like that lousy SMS, SSS blaming the rain, MEND's several warnings, blaming opponents) all have not help matter.
- We have also observe that they are two MEND now - the real (with the Govt) and fake (with Okah)

Nigerians don't want this incident to be swept under the carpet like many other issues - Govt should make comprehensive investigation and Reality TV Show we saw the other day on NTA tagged "its not MEND" grin grin grin

Believe u me IBB will meet his waterloo. . .sooner rather than later. . .and not later than Dec 2011. . .

Him whom the gods want to destroy, they first make mad. .
I personally want IBB behind bars if he is found guilty - same way I want every corrupt politician. But I cannot support GEJ if he do exactly the same thing others did and get persecuted. If it is comfortable for you to look the other way because it serves your interest, sorry I can't be a part of it.

Put it rightly: Mr. President did not handle the 1st Oct Bombing rightly - he should man up and own his responsibilities and not blame it on opponents while hanging out with known militants to enjoy coffee in the Villa and a TV reality show on NTA afterward, just to bend us in believing "its not MEND" after they have even accepted they did and apologized for the lose of lives.  grin

@ AjanleKoko:
What have you achieved in Nigeria as a result of the 'sound' system of the government huh

The truth is that most Nigerians are wise, creative, industrious, can persevere, independent and most attributes that will make one very successful in life. But the system of governance it so terrible that if you do not join them in playing dirty (stealing, scamming, siphoning public funds, producing sub-standards, ling, etc) you will be poor and keep struggling like some of us.

All we ask is for government to create an enabling environment where everyone that really want to do something can get the support to start and they should punish those do wrongs (like stealing, scamming, siphoning public funds, etc)

If you were a true fan of GEJ - you will tell him to man up to his actions and take responsibility even if it goes sour.

I noticed you were not among the militants that where invited to the Villa to hang out with Presido, grab a cup of coffee and head to NTA to tell us MEND was not involved grin grin grin

guy, this is so daft a post
@ dappssee: I noticed you did not disapprove any of my accertions - "just drop a curse" and walk seem to be all the is left these days for you guys (or is is the item on the new JEGA's memo). Well don't expect one from me.

jamace:
So, you had expected GEJ to suspend the celebration because of the threat, eh? Do you know the political point they would have scored had GEJ truncated the celebration?
I assume you confirm the fear of many that he prefer to score political point with the incident - like claming to know who did it (just because he hoped Okah will wire the Vuvuzela from South Africa changing the tone of MEND.

jamace:
My brother, why are you are joking with a serious national issue of this nature? Why continue to look the other way when a group of people who do not wish Nigeria well are out to frustrate GEJ inorder to label him inexperience, naive and incompetent. I'm shocked that you have even joined them in calling GEJ incompetent. Don't you think they are only trying to give a dog a bad name inorder to hang it?
GEJ did not help it either. He blew it when he:
- Claimed to have evidence, when non was at hand
- Hasty absorbing or MEND even when they have stated they did.
- Asking Okah for favour and when he declined (offer punishment)
- The arrest of Dokpesi was a big flop (you can just do that without a good reason) WHY: To justify your future actions.
- Now every security apparatus in the country is working 'over-drive' to re-write Presido's wrongs.
- And guess what, confirmed militants now hang out in the Villa (later can to NTA to tell us 'it was not MEND' grin gringrin

The best that GEJ can do these days is to blame others for their inefficiencies. Is it not sad that President JEGA is not manning up to his responsibilities? Complaining, blames, intimidation and abusing others don't help him.

He is in charge and should accept praise and blame for Nigeria's present conditions. For now IBB have the upper hand. GEJ needs to sit up or forget it. And please tell him as fans, we don't want him to be hanging out with confirmed terrorists. grin
