Chappie:The one in quote was the only one he made about the dollar and naira, from which the journalist derived her dubious claims. Other issue Buhari discussed that day was the state of the economy, security, poverty, mining, etc. He spent the rest thanking the people of Imo state and requested for their support and votes. So what we are saying here, is that while Buhari decried the dwindling value of the Naira, he NEVER said he will make N1 = $1. Sadly that misinformation came through a journalist that works with News Agency of Nigeria. We are all glad that despite Jonathan deploying all the tools of Government to smear Buhari, Nigerians defeated Corruption eventually. It would have been sad to see Hate Campaign win. |
As reality sets in, can we revisit this. |
HzRF:From the beginning of the Campaign, Buhari clearly stated that when it comes to former leaders, he will Draw the line from the day he becomes President, NeverAgain. Now that does not cover all the groups, companies and individuals that were used to siphon funds. Also remember he promise to Enact the Whistle Blowers Act that will provide protection for Nigerians who exposes cases of Corruption (in the past or present). |

Chidinma and Tiwa can sing National Anthem together. I would have like to see an all-night, big stage, music concert the Night after the Inauguration at Eagle Square with Live Viewing Centres in Major Nigerian Cities. And most if not all Nigerians artists will mount the stage for a 10-15mins performance. The can do tracks or mix. Have DJ mixing for them. That would have been fun. |
HzRF:Buhari has already forgiven him. But the word in town is #NeverAgain. Get that into your head. |
crixtex:I never said "buhari is going to entirely clear out corruption". Am only of the opinion it will reduce to allow room for development and growth. That has been my position. |
missangela:What you do not know is that Nigeria has a Tax Code that regulates taxation in Nigeria. Britain is a good example of a country that is sustained largely on taxation. When Lagos LG funds were withheld by OBJ, Lagos State was sustain on Internally generated Revenues. A vote for Agbaje is a vote for Bode George. That is totally unacceptable. |
https://www.theparadigmng.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/bode-george.jpg This man is the reason, PDP should never be voted in Lagos. In case you don't know him, he is an ExConvict who was tried and jailed for looting Nigeria Port Authority dry in billions. TANiods: Who have been beating their Rusty Chest on Nairaland of how Buhari will cry again and how we all will deactivate our accounts. They even said that if Buhari wins, the Gates of Hell will be opened to us. Today "Everyone Loves Buhari". |

rationalmind:If you are telling us Ambode did nothing in the last 27yrs, please can you be kind enough to tell us the wonders Agbaje did in the last 27yrs and why we must hand over Lagos to Ex-Convit Bode George. Cheers! |
tete7000:How many adviser does he have? |
Caution30:At Bold: There has never been any discrepancies or segregation in the way Buhari ploy task from his days a Governor, the Army, Minister, Head of States, Chairman of PTF, etc. PDP could have better had a breakthrough selling propaganda on Buhari as a meek and gentle man than the image of Brutality, Mean and Crazy fellow they tried to promote. Buhari is a good leader. Those who disparage him, do so only because Buhari is a man who will not accept to compromise his position on what is lawful. And this is what draws many closer to him. |
It is still under Jonathan, if he keep silent as usual, then his failures just continuing. But don't ever expect President Buhari will standby and watch as well. |
So they want to form IYC and New IYC? Someone should remind them that it led to Jonathan losing the Presidency when we started having PDP and nPDP ![]() |
Caution30:Please stop spinning this. We agree on many issue on this. Just that you also hold the opinion nobody should look into the corruption that happen in his watch, else you tag it witch-hunt. |
sanc2s:What maturity? Finding a safe angle to step out the ring after a heavy beating! ![]() FYI, Jonathan is a good man who presided over an administration that looted massively - am still trying to wrap by head around the irony. But to add "A Hero" to it is an insult to an injury. |
Chappie:Either you are ignorant of a what a "Quote" is in a news article or you are deliberately and mischievously ascribing the words of the Journalist to Buhari. |
shizzleStar:Buhari has repeatedly stated that corruption is a major problem that needs to be stopped. He also stated that it will not be a witch-hunting. The same rule will apply to everyone. On the good part is that if you are prosecuting me, I will be exposing you too. So it is good for Nigeria. |
Caution30:Allegation means it should be investigated (Probed), charged to court where there is evidence, press for the maximum punishment allowed by law and send him to jail is proven guilty of wrong-doing. But some folks are here threatening hell if you even consider investigating anything on Jonathan and the numerous allegation of looting and misappropriation of funds. So between me and them, who is running mad? ![]() |
RIP to the dead. Please let there be peace. Am hoping we get pass this time where a Nigerian live will have value again. |
Happy Birthday to the man who knelt to save his neck. Just like Jonathan bowed for peace and a retirement out of jail. ![]() |
ivili:Moving forward, once Buhari assumes office, anyone that loot will have a day in court en route their way to prison, it does not matter who you are. |
shizzleStar:The sake of Peace and fairness. Jonathan is being given a pass. But remember that anyone who get involved in Corruption will be dealt with. When it starts some folks will cry blue murder. |
luvmijeje:This soft landing is only for Jonathan. But if you think that most of what is looted under Jonathan will not be recovered, then you are mistaken. |
Caution30:Oya answer this: Was money stolen under the administration of Jonathan? |
shizzleStar:Jonathan's administration is filled with massive looting and Buhari is arranging a soft-landing for Jonathan and you are still angry. ![]() |

but it shouldn't be selective based on region or party lines, in a bid to witch hunt others for some sinister reasons. If that's the case, he is most welcome. Any thing other than that will be fiercely resisted.
