If the trip would be paid for from their pockets , i don't have an issue with it . |
I don't think the Nigerian army or SSS are fools , remember that Obama and the US government kept telling the world that Osama was in Afghanistan, meanwhile they were tracking him to Pakistan .This must have made Osama feel somewhat safe, while in the real sense they were getting close to him . How are you sure this is not the same pattern working here ? Shekarau or whatever that is his name might be in Nigeria or anywhere , but also this revelation that that his in Gao Mali might be a way of making him feel that they are wrong about his location meanwhile they might actually be getting close to him . In the the world of intelligence , nothing is ever 100% what you think it is . |
Bad market dey disturb the Guru,am sure in his usual way, kumuyi will not respond to him . If there is a man of God in Nigeria among the Pentecostal circles that is closest to God, it is Kumuyi, of course he is no saint , he is not among the private jet league of pastors we have in Nigeria today. yet we know he is worth it very much , and last am not a member of deeper life and don't even agree with some of their teachings . |
danny301: He is the owner of his life so he can convert to anything he likes..... Such is the beauty of a secular state, there is freedom of worship and that's what the ibos have shown by not fighting the chief over his new found faith.... The question now is, if one village head in zamfara or kebbi decides to convert from Islam to Christianity will the muslems let him be?You will live long my brother . |
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested two undergraduate Internet scammers and six other fraudsters at the upscale 1004 Housing Estate, Victoria Island, Lagos. One of the undergraduate, Hope Olusegun, a 25 year-old indigene of Okene, Kogi State, claims to be a student of Computer Science at the Kuala Lumpur Metropolitan University, Malaysia. He was arrested by operatives of EFCC over allegations of fraud and internet scam. A petition by a concerned group alerted the Commission about the activities of Olusegun and his co-travelers at the elite 1004 Housing Estate where the fraudsters engaged in fraudulent activities of obtaining money by false pretences and forgery. A search conducted by EFCC operatives at Olusegun’ s apartment led to the recovery of several items such as laptops, iPad phones, travelling documents, cheque books, flash drives, internet modem, and three exotic cars – a Mercedes Benz Jeep, One 4Matic Mercedes Benz Car and a Range Rover Sport SUV. When asked how he came about the cars, Olusegun said the cars belonged to his sister who he claimed lives in the United Kingdom. Operatives of the EFCC also downloaded over 80 implicating documents from the laptops recovered from Olusegun. However, the Commission is making effort to track down other members of Olusegun’s syndicate who are currently at large. Tunde Wasiu Sodiq, another undergraduate and member of another syndicate with close affinity to Olusegun’s gang was also nabbed by operatives of the EFCC at the Housing Estate. Besides Sodiq, six other members of the syndicate were equally arrested. They are: Badmus Akeem O, Ajijola Oluwatosin Emmanuel, Adebesin Olalekan, Raji Resaq O, Ajibola Adeniyi and Adeboye Lamidi. Their arrest was sequel to a petition on their notorious activities at the Housing Estate. Sodiq (23) hails from Lagos and claimed to be an undergraduate of Brandry University, Malaysia. The leader of the syndicate, Badmus Akeem, hails from Ayetoro, Ogun State and attended Oniwaya High School, Agege. He claimed to be a traveler who does odd jobs wherever he travels. “I decided to move to Malaysia to further my education while I do “Hot jobs” as well. I just got back a week ago before the festive period and also produce music and manage artistes,” he claimed. On why he chose to live at the expensive 1004 estate where he and his friends pay N30, 000 daily, he said it was to avoid the stress that friends and relations could bring to him. “I didn’t stay on the Mainland in Lagos because of stress of friends when you just get back from abroad.” Sodiq said that the Range Rover Sport car which was recovered from them belonged to his mother despite the fact that the car bears his alias, “T.Wizzle” .He stated in his statement that the mother decided to customize the car plate number after the name of his first son. Other items recovered by the Commission include laptops, flash drives, internet modem, cheque books and a host of others. They are to be arraigned in court soon. source >>>> http://www.spyghana.com/efcc-arrests-2-undergraduates-six-others-over-internet-scam/ |
So should we leave it at that? Can't something be done : |
Good response brother , the problem i think is the government , do they have the political will do enact laws that would permit this kind of scheme ? Would they think it would checkmate their mago mago ways ? |
Do you think this will take care of vote rigging , ghost workers and lots of other corrupt practices we have in Nigeria ? and the people living in remote villages in Nigeria , do you think this sort of scheme will bring them into the mainstream ? Please discuss and say your mind, thanks . |
In an audacious technological mission, India is building a near foolproof database of personal biometric identities for nearly a billion people, something that has never been attempted anywhere in the world. Poorer Indians who have no proof to offer of their existence will leapfrog into a national online system, another global first, where their identities can be validated anytime anywhere in a few seconds. "India will outdo the world's biggest biometric databases including those of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the US-VISIT visa programme," says Nandan Nilekani, the technology tycoon who heads the programme popularly called by its acronym UIDAI. The United States' visa programme is a biometric database of 120 million. In comparison, the UIDAI has already registered 200 million members, less than two years after the first enrolment. By 2014 half of India's population will have an identity tagged to a random, unique 12-digit number. Radical ideas As more and more Indians have their fingerprints taken, irises scanned and photographs clicked, UIDAI's chief technology architect Pramod Varma describes the database structure as a "Google-meets-Facebook" scale out. The information is stored in a fortress like data centre in Bangalore With its internet-class open source backbone, the database will accommodate more than 12 billion fingerprints, 2.4 billion iris scans and 1.2 billion photographs. Even more groundbreaking, once established and stored, a person's identity can easily be verified and authenticated using a cell phone, smart phone, tablet or any other device hooked to the internet. The information is stored in a fortress-like data centre in Bangalore with a triple layer of security, and travels in highly encrypted packets. Many of the radical ideas for UIDAI's technology have come from the talent the project has drawn from the Indian diaspora - tech entrepreneurs like Bala Parthasarathy of HP-acquired photo service, Snapfish and Silicon Valley returnees like Srikanth Nadhamuni, formerly with Intel. Mr Nilekani himself co-founded and built the multi-billion dollar outsourcing company Infosys before being drafted by the government to head the project. The programme has studied global best practices in biometric identity databases. Unlike the United States' social security number, which is guessable and China's, which adds the date of birth, India's 12-digit identity number is randomly generated. The United States' visa database does not factor in iris scans while India has included them to provide a greater degree of accuracy. India's telecom revolution leapfrogged over several stages of technology in the past decade-and-a-half to great success. Similarly, the massive UIDAI will vault over older technologies. "By starting on a clean slate and reconfiguring the structure, we have opened up a whole new set of possibilities," says Mr Nilekani. The project will stay abreast of the latest in biometrics, cloud computing and connectivity. Pilot projects using the unique number have begun in parts of India Costs though have been kept low, first, by adopting an open policy in selecting devices and software and encouraging multiple private vendors. Second, the project is technology-neutral, not locking in to any particular hardware or software. If the technology architecture is unique, so is its accuracy in validating identities. "The combination of 10-finger biometrics, two-iris scans and photograph establishes the identity of a person with over 99.5% accuracy," says Krishnakumar Natarajan, CEO of Bangalore-based tech outsourcing firm MindTree, which is one of the firms building applications for the project. The best of the biometric databases in the world have a single de-duplication check, to ensure that every person is identified and tagged only once. Real challenge UIDAI will de-duplicate three times over, accuracy that is vital in a country which has had a massive population migration in the past decade and welfare programmes that now total $60bn in value, says Ashok Dalwai, deputy director general of UIDAI. "A lack of identity has become the divide in India, denying needy Indians access to welfare programmes," Mr Dalwai says. In a country where billions of dollars in welfare get siphoned off by middlemen using fake identities, the programme will "stem leakage and fraud", he adds. The real challenge for the project, however, will be in the applications built around the unique identities. A slew of pilots are currently testing the robustness of the system. In a trial in Tumkur near Bangalore, Indians armed with a new unique identity number are opening bank accounts electronically. In the northern Jharkhand state, the government is electronically dispensing payments under an employment guarantee scheme directly into the recipients' bank accounts, which were opened after acquiring an identity number. The project is technology-neutral, not locking in to any particular hardware or software. In another pilot in the same region, people are authenticating themselves on a simple device connected to the network and withdrawing money from their new bank accounts. In the future, every outlet with such a device can potentially serve as a cash-dispensing "micro ATM". In the coming years, UIDAI holds the promise of being a game changer. With a unique identity, previously anonymous poor Indians can have access to services such as bank accounts, mobile connections and driving licences. That is already something, for a country which has a population of 1.2 billion but only 50 million passport-holders and 200 million with driving licenses. Indians design and build some of the world's most sophisticated software and technologies for multinational corporations. Now, some of this hi-tech savvy promise to transport India's neglected millions from the technological dark ages, propelling them from complete obscurity to an online identity. look at it this way, if someone chews chewing gum in the church and makes those tak tak noise, you know there is no bible quotation where it says that person have committed sin .However it is not right , this is the way i see this private jet thing among pastors,it not a sin , but i think it harms the church more than it helps it . i was with some guys few days ago, they were just released from jail here in India and they are Nigerians , one of them told me that there is one of them still in jail and that one have sworn that once free , he is going to Nigeria to become a pastor cos according to him, that's where the money is now, you know what? He means it . The life style of a pastor like kumuyi would have discouraged such fella from trying to become a fake pastor, do i make any point ? Paul says if eating meet will make my brother go to hell, then i will not eat meat , some believers will go to hell fire cos of the life our pastors of today live . |
As a former semi-pro footballer , i can tell you with all confidence that is not too hard to do , we ran on our toes on our playing days, especially during training , so we would not feel the effect of whatever we had on our feet, be it booth ,canvas or anything , so the trick here is to run on your toes . |
I live in India, no politician no matter the post he or she holds would try this ,i weep for this country . |
Pls leave Kumuyi alone , he is no saint, but far far better than most men of God we have today . |

ballabriggs: Is Channels TV not a silly TV station? How the hell did Channels allow their platform to be used by people making accusations of fraud? What kind of useless journalism is this?Have you watched a program on BBC called HARDTALK ? |
Deeper Life am sure have enough money to buy private jets for pastor kumuyi , why do you think he has not done that yet ? also why do you think kumuyi have not ordained himself bishop ? There are men of God and there are "MEN" of God . |
Meanwhile a well known and respected Gospel Singer Patty Obassy died for lack of funds to treat his illness , what the hell is wrong with this people we call men of God today ? Would Jesus have approved the kind of life our so called men of God live today if he were to be around now ? |
How come the poster is a male ? i expected a female raise this issue , well poster no near my yansh oooh ![]() |
still waiting for answers to the questions below ; OK so Igbos are the ones committing crimes in Nigeria ? They are the real Boko Haram right ? So why not the rest of Nigeria do away with this criminal Igbos ? Why not let this criminal Igbos separate from Nigeria and be on their own so they wont commit all the crimes of bombing in the name of Boko Haram ? Or does the rest of Nigeria still want to stay with this criminal Igbos ? Anyone got answers ? |
This man of GOD dies like this , meanwhile we have other men of GOD in Nigeria living the the private jet lives , is this the kind of ministry JESUS had while on earth ? |

Oyedepo being a man of God should know that he is causing the body of Christ a great harm by not apologizing to this lady.It is his pride and ego that is the problem here .There is no biblical justification for slapping anyone in the church, witch or no witch, deliverance or no deliverance . Jimmy Swaggart is a big and respected minister in america, he sinned and apologized with weeping on national television,Oyedepo is suffering the same problem like our shameless politicians . |
toluxa1: 2 Cor. 10: 4 - For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;God will bless you my brother , for the 'touch not my anointed " gang , this is the kind of deliverance the lord sanctioned and not physical type like slapping someone . This is where oyedepo is wrong , and unfortunately he has allowed it to bring shame to him self, his church and the body of Christ in General, plz tell me what is the big deal if oyedepo had apologised to this girl and all this shame to himself and other Christians would not have happened, instead he is paying lawyers to defend him of what is biblically indefensible . |
This Judge Mr Ojo is on a very high quality cocaine , his reasons for striking out the suit is pure bullshit . Did Pastor Oyedpo at any time ever deny slapping the girl ? if no then what has the date and weather the defendant lawyer was in the church that day got to do with anything ? Again the cocaine smoking judge said the lady must be in the court for the compensation to make sense to him , well maybe he wants to give it to her by cash right there in the court room , does he not understand that the girl could have bank account or have one opened for her , or that her parents could receive the compensation in there accounts too ? what has this country turned into ? well I wont be surprised if oyedepo's millions are at work here . |
John 3 vs 16 says " He must increase, but I [must] decrease " this is no more the old time religion as practiced in the new testament , something is wrong somewhere . |
Rick carry go jareh, God forgives, we dont ![]() |
Who was the third guy by the left ? Is it Kumuyi ![]() |
What i think that's been going on with gtb bank is that either the bank is running short on cash or they just dont know what harm they are doing themselves , and i think its most likely the cash problem. I have four accounts with gtb bank, 1 normal current account which charges cot of 0.5% on any remmitance to the account no matter the means, weather you receive money by cash deposit, international transfer , online banking , cheque, atm transfer etc , gtb must charge the cot . Then i have what gtb calls gtmax , this is kind of current account where 5 withdrawals are allowed free per month, and afterwards any withdrawal withing that month , then the bank would charge you cot for all your transactions of that month, and withdrawals means any damn means through which u withdraw money from the account , weather atm , cheque , cash withdrawal ,online transfer etc . I also have normal savings account with gtb which ofcos charges no cot , but u are not allowed to transfer money to any other bank apart from gtb accounts. then i have domiciliary account with gtb bank which am yet to make use of . i took pains to explain all these so you would see why i think they might be having cash problem, so here are my reasons : 1, why would they have security challenges with the savings account and not the current account ? because they hardly make any money from the savings accounts , but in current they charge cot of 0.5% for any funds that gets to the account . same reason also applies on why you must have current account with them before you can buy foreign currency or receive western union with them. 2, gtb bank never told me that my internet token ( i paid them 3k for it )would only work on my normal savings account and on my normal current account and not on the gtmax current account , and this is why ; i tried to do online transfer from my gtmax and the token was rejected , i wanted to make use of the free 5 withdraws but gtb was ready for me so i had to transfer the money to my current account and ( and be charged the cot) b4 my transfer could go through ,this is another sign that they might be having cash problem .3,i was told that my gtb mastercard debit card is linked to all my accounts except the dom account , but there is catch here , what they did not tell me is that when i make shopping with the card as i live outside nigeria , money will be deducted from my current and not from my savings or gtmax account , this means if i want to spend money that is in my savings or gtmax account i would first have to transfer it to my normal current account b4 i would spend through my debit card, and this way they will still charge their cot. 4,Am sure the reason allow cash withdrawal from the savings outside nigeria is because of the expensive 1,000 naira charge per withdrawal. my take is to be careful with them, i dont keep any reasonable amount with them these days . |
men , this is no more a child's , i should be going to bed with bible and machine guy by my side these days , prayers and physical action are both needed in this country now . |
I am a born again christian and i think the lady didn't handle the issue very well , the statement from the judge shows that she would have received a more lenient punishment if she had apologized , am sure she didn't have bad intention for the patient . And if i may digress a little bit, this is what david oyedepo would also have done in the case of the young woman he slapped in the church instead of allowing the case to go to court which brings bad name to the church . |
