sorry to disappoint you...

Out of 19 Northern state... We are facing security challenges in 3 northern states and That happens to be villages.

But because of the love and unity in the north... We share the pains of these states protesting and demanding for a secured north.

But bigots online and offline would come to tell us how the whole northern states has been terrorized.

Once there is kidnapping in any village in Zamfara.

They will come online to tell how there is kidnapping in the north... They will never mention zamfara.

They will never tell you people were kidnapped in a village in Zamfara or Kastina rather they would say north.

They're doing all this to send a signal that the whole of Northern states are unsafe.

Gombe is one of the safest state in Nigeria.

Bauchi is safe!!

Kano is safe!!

Adamawa is safe!!

Yobe is safe!!

Jigawa is safe!!

Kebbi is safe!!

Taraba is safe!!

And other northern states that hardly record case of robbery in a year.

The north is a region with 16 core northern states.

But children of hate would come online to tell the world how unsafe the whole northern region is.

The way you bigots always scream north up and down makes me believe that majority of think that north is a state not a region.

You guys should stop all this senseless stereotypes!

My state kano is more developed and peaceful than the entire Eastern states put together.

We can see what happened to others and learn lesson from it to save ourselves.

God knows i love gov akeredolu in Ondo State. He is our in-law. But honestly speaking he made some mistakes. He did same thing like uzodimma. At the time when he was running for first term we supported him against tinubu but we did not see that his sponsorship from abuja was a package that came with miyettiallah.

When a southern candidate seek support of north against his brother southerner he unknowingly accepts the bind of fulani agenda.

Ondo became the miyettiallah territory overnight. They had vigilante parading the state and protecting fulani interest against local farmers. Look how many Ondo people have suffered as a result of that alliance. Falae got attacked three times. Fasoranti lost daughter. Opc members almost killed, a king was killed there recently, in addition to another king that was previously kidnapped and released after ransom was settled. Governor himself reported once coning face to face with them.

Im upset with Yoruba electing buhari and then reelecting him. But in it there is lessons for all of us Southerners to learn.

We have people among us that are cushioned from the reality of nigeria and the nature of arewa.

It doesnt matter how long Kanu and Uwazuruike preach against trusting arewa my people will still go cling to them to find political success. It is a statement that we distrust other southerners but we trust northerner.

What we need to do is trust other southerners even if that trust leave us at a disadvantage. We can work around that hump and gradually balance each other to a position of mutual trust and mutual advantage. It will not happen overnight but it must start so that in 20yrs we have made tremendous gains and near where we desire to be optimally.

60yrs of trusting arewa has not brought anything but anguish. As i speak we are still in it.

What i said applies on Yoruba side as well. There are experiences in SE politics they can learn from to improve their awarenes and not fall into same trap. They must trust us. Your trust in us may not immediately result in your desired outcome but you are a very good people at negotiation and you can bring this south to a very progressive and advanced territory.

Look at UAE. It is an alliance.
Europe is an alliance.
US is an alliance.

We can have our independent Biafra, Oduduwa and yet establish an alliance from coast to coast.

Yes, security is a vital ingredient. We thank you for securing your end with Amotekun. It is doing great job with its successes so far.

Do not demonize our efforts to secure ourselves with Ipob.

We must think forward. During covid arewa wanted to control almajiri and didnt know how to so they sent their rejects down south for us to manage. Thank God for good awareness that saw it and blocked their delivery in our midst.

Now, we have refugee situation in our hand. Some of you may not know because there is no lockdown and so unusual movement are not standing out but many refugees are fleeing arewa to come south. A very dangerous situation. Amongst them will be repentant bandits and terrorists that will seize opportunity to cause harm in south.

A security outfit in SE is needed. Wether its Ipob or something we just want to be safe. As long it is indigeneous and not under command of federal govt. Right now nothing exist but Ipob. Until we find something to substitute let us be content with Ipob.

Personally, I am NOT a fan of Kanu. But I will amiss to stands against what he stands for.

Concerning Àmòtékùn, the first thing the West did through DAWN was to ensure that any son of the soil that stand against it would have to live with the consequences. But in your case, I see the governors sabotaging it.

You can say the same for virtually all the world's navies.

US annual military spending is the highest on earth,  and is more than the next 6 countries combined.

But what's the point of referring to them?

The Nigerian Navy is not being built to fight the United States..

Nigeria is a US ally and its biggest trading partner in Africa.

The navy's main focus is on defending the nation against regional and continental threats.

What you saying? What do you mean north is north?

NC is the most heterogeneous zone in NIgeria. They are distinctive from other northern people. You people only use them to achieve your selfish aims.

In Obasanjo's book, My Watch, some northern elites came to him to let him know that the north is not happy with him because of some vital positions he was giving NC. In their words, "they are not original northerners". Pick the book and read.

Even Many parts of NE are distinctive.

He is Hausa-Fulani

That was the deceit that the Fulanis used to dulistract the Hausas. And it worked.

B4 you can see one Hausa man in position of authority, you would have seen 10 Fulanis. Though the latter are minority.

It has been like that since the time of Usman Danfodio. The Hausa people who betrayed their people by helping Usman Danfodio declare and win Jihad were found in that rift. They were treated as second class citizens. And that was a major problem that almost every Fulani leader promised to tackle throughout the defunct caliphate. But that promise was like today's Buhari's promise.

There is comprehensive historical book that captured these things (can't remember the title).

Romance / Re: I Love Him So Much But I'm Afraid I've Lost Him. by ehinmowo: 10:29am On Dec 11, 2020
LucyB24:
I'm a 24 year old lady living and working in Abuja. My job is very time demanding. I'm usually very busy on weekdays, and sometimes on weekends I can get called to work if something important comes up.

There is a guy I've known for months now. We met in Abuja at an event and we've been friends since. He lives in lagos but visits Abuja occasionally. He's also a very busy guy and he hardly has time on his hands. We have spent sometime together talking and getting to know each other but we haven't been on an official date. Most of our interaction has been over phone calls and WhatsApp text messages due to the distance barrier.

I fell in love with him during the course of our friendship. He is everything I want in a man. He's financially stable, very good looking and smart. The few times I've spent talking to him have been a pleasure, both for my eyes and for my mind. I never thought I could ever meet someone who checks all those boxes perfectly.

Men like him usually get a lot of female attention and I've tried to tread carefully. I didnt want him to see me as cheap but I also don't want him to think I am not interested in him. The day he told me he loved me was very memorable for me because I felt the same way. Few days later I told him I loved him too. Due to the distance barrier we could only talk on phone. I'm a very decent lady with good upbringing but because of what I felt for him, I did things I thought I'd never do. One night we had a sex chat that ended in me sending nudes to him. I've never done this before. This made me feel vulnerable and cheap because even though he said he loved me, I never believed him because he didn't really act like someone who was in love with me. He wasn't the type to call everyday and there were periods where he would dissapear for days and ignore my calls and texts and then return like nothing happened.

Last week we planned a special meeting. I was to travel to Lagos to see him at his place on Saturday morning. He had planned to refund me the money I'd use for my airline ticket and even hire a taxi that would bring me straight to his place from the airport. The way he sounded I knew he took it as a big deal. I agreed to come see him in lagos. On Friday morning he called and I assured him I was going to come. He called me again in the afternoon and I assured him I was going to come.

Towards the end of work on Friday my boss informed me that I had to be at work on Saturday to complete a very important project. Immediately I got the information I sent him a text. I was too tired when I left for home and I planned on calling him later that evening. I was so tired that I took a quick nap and woke up to missed calls from him. I called him back and asked if he got my message and he said he didn't. I informed him of the change in plans and he got very furious. He accused me of being indecisive and playing games. He said he had cancelled lots of meetings and spent money preparing for my visit and was disappointed that I didn't take him as seriously as he took me. He ended the call in annoyance and I've not heard from him since. He isn't picking my calls or replying my texts. I've sent him voice messages on WhatsApp apologizing and explaining myself but he hasn't replied..

I really love this guy and I don't want to lose him. He probably thinks I'm lying to him or that I have someone else I'm seeing but that's not the case.

Hmmmmm. Relationship is sacrifice. If the sacrifice is getting one-sided, then problems would ensue.

I hope things work out between you too. And learn to have mature heart to heart discussion with your boss sometimes. This will even make your boss to see you in a different light.

You wouldn't work there forever. And when the work goes, it is yourself and connections that you have made you would have left.

Let him know that you love him. And you will never take him for granted. Then allow time to work on it. I perceive that this is further compounded by the fact that you guys don't see often. And we have seen stories of both male and female who are "busy" only to be busying in another's bed. His anger might not be only the cancellation. But unspoken idea that he would be the biggest fool if it's out that there is another angle to the story.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: My Experience With A Kind Staff At Nspri by ehinmowo: 10:10am On Dec 11, 2020
bilms:
*My experience with a kind staff at Nspri*

In my continued quest to understand the process of value addition in agro products and other consumables, I was directed to Nigeria Stored Product Research Institute (NSPRI) along Asadam road, Ilorin.

Based on my past experience with government offices, I decided not to go there in the morning to avoid unnecessary delay that may affect other businesses.

On Tuesday, 8th December 2020, I went to Nspri in the afternoon, precisely around 3pm or there about.

As I arrived at the entrance, i saw a massive space, with different huge structures, starting with the e-library.

The security officials were warm and one of them attended to me very nicely, ushering me in to park in the appropriate place.

Then, I was registered in and directed to the reception for my inquiry.

Upon getting to the reception, I met two pretty ladies, both of whom listened to me very attentively and without wasting any time, I was directed to the Agric extension office. When i informed them that I do not know the location, one of the ladies walked with me until she can site the extension office building from afar.

She pointed me to the office and wished me well.

At the extension office extrance, I met a deligent woman, who goes by the name, Mrs Olahan.

Mrs Olahan is fair and compassionate, caring and understanding, civil and customer friendly and most importantly, she's very respectful.

When she met me at the entrance of the building, she slowed down to ask what I was looking for.

After I explained my mission to her, she said I had probably been directed to a wrong place, because from what I said, I was supposed to be directed to the laboratory.

She directed me to the appropriate place, but when she realized that i had walked down to the extension office from another part of the space, she asked me to hold on a little so she can take me to the lab in her own vehicle.

We went to her car and she drove me down as promised. As we got to the place, she pointed me to the building and drove away.

It was before she drove off that I asked for her name, which she simply gave as Olahan. Mrs Olahan.

I eventually made my inquiry and left the environment.

As I reflected over this experience, it occurred to me that we have over generalized the attitude of civil servant in the country.

While many are quick to talk about their bitter experiences, hardly do people talk about their sweet experiences aswell. Especially, experience with people like Mrs Olahan.

Negative stories are good, they sell fast like garri. But good stories are better, far better than indomie.

I am therefore using this opportunity to thank Mrs Olahan for her kind gesture to me, during my visit to her office. More civil servants should be like her.

Abdulrazaq Hamzat

The behavior of civil servants has been like that of the devil. But I am beginning to see some few good ones.

I went to NAFDAC's office in Ibadan last month. Everybody I met, from the two receptionists and three different personnel were very courteous and attended to my case with keen interest. The boss took his time to walk me through the processes and everything I needed.
