I would not have blamed him if his username did not have "Autos", which suggests he is a car seller or at least someone who is interested in cars. He should know better than to decieve people on here.

My point is this, if someone owns a car for instance and sends me pictures and details of the car to help him sell, I have no reason to doubt the person or think the person is lying......

It is even trickier if distance is a factor so I can't easily travel to go and verify and I am not too conversant with the brand.......

For instance, I myself didn't even really notice it at first glance....its a closer look at the front bumper that gave the car away as looking funny and that was after he posted his "God will judge you" comment. And I still didn't even know until he said it outright that the car was a 2007......

I myself am not too conversant with the ranger rover brand myself, so if someone sent me pictures with details, I will probably do exactly what the original poster did........


And I never said it was wrong to point that out, that is the fact that the car model may actually be 8years older. I do that a lot here; but assuming he intended to deceive people by adding 8 more years to the car year, may not be the case......

A simple, "OP, please confirm the year of this vehicle from the owner, this car is a 2007 with a 2015 body kit" is a more reasonable way to point it out, than just saying "God will judge you".

If I didn't ask, he wouldn't have expanded further on that, nobody learns anything from that, even the car poster will be wondering whether his village people track am come Nairaland.....

This is not a 2015 range rover. Check the sides you will see that it's 2007 model but he clearly changed the front bumper and back bumper to that of 2015 range.

It can be middleman with little knowledge about range rover cars you dey blame like this so. No man knows it all. There are seasoned car salesman that I have shockingly discovered that they know very little about toyota highlander or avalon compared to me.....

You could have simply pointed that out politely, so he can re-verify from the actual car owner or connect for the car deal.......and then he in turn could have simply corrected it.....

Because the manufacturing date of the car is 07/08......that's July 2008!!

Cars manufactured typically after the middle of the year are labelled/taxed as cars of the proceeding year, especially if the form factor of the car remains the same (meaning the design wasnt changed)....

If it were 05/08 or 06/08, it will be labelled/taxed as a 2008 and not 2009 car!!

If you ever read my first response below, to your post asking people to avoid my car if they know how honda works (as if you even know anything about how Honda works in the first place), the first thing I said is that the right ATF to use for this car is Honda ATF

The right transmission oil to use for this vehicle is the Honda ATF ....unfortunately that Oil cannot be readily found anywhere in Uromi (where that car was left and parked before I moved it to benin, let alone in Benin City or anywhere in Edo state for that matter).

Which is why I used the Toyota‘s T1-IV atf (a type IV atf), which is very compatible with this particular car's gear box which uses a Dexron VI type atf. I do thorough research before I put anything into any car I drive....you should do the the same

But in the event that Honda ATF isn't available in your locale, Toyota T1 TIV(dexron type 4) is compatible.

I don't make the rules, I did my research first, sought professional ATF sellers, even the person that first used the car in the USA too confirm!!
