Nazgul:This your Haba is completely misplaced. Plus you are mixing things up.... Cost of transport through Sienna and other minivans is different from cost of transportation with Regular toyota Hiace buses and is totally different from someone who wants to use Uber/Bolt to travel...... Plus I said #15k to as much as #25k from benin to warri. I also said lagos to benin may cost average #75k, if you use bolt/uber drivers and they will insist that such trips are done offline without the app especially because the app charge significantly lower. Plus my comment was in response to what someone else posted, read up what the person posted and understand my comment..... But I will still try and clarify even further..... 1. You cannot book a bolt or uber or indriver or rida or univasa driver to travel to benin from lagos that will accept to use the app to travel......except you are dealing with a naive driver and if you do, get ready for the most problematic ride of your life because they are most likely inexperienced on interstate travel. Most drivers will insist that they don't travel sef and the ones that will be willing to travel will insist that you do that trip offline and will negotiate the rate I offered, which is average of #75k (don't take my word for it, download the app and see for yourself). Now the app itself, depending on whether there is a surge in prices, which may be determined by weather, traffic situation or just available drivers on ground will charge anything from #28,000 to as much as #58,000, but most drivers will still not want it, because of security concerns, riders booking drivers just to dispossess them of their valuables or even kill them just to steal their cars, plus the price regime of most of this app covers just intraCity transit and doesn't take into account the variables that exists on interstate travel. Plus what ever you are meant to pay as a passenger, the apps company own 28% - 35% of the fare as commission to be paid by the driver, depending on the app used.... So why will any driver want to drop a passenger using the app, for say #30,000 at benin city from lagos, where he will pay between #8,400 to as much as #10,500 as commission on the fare depending on the app used to order for ride. Consider cost of fuel per litre as of today, fuel expense may be average of 50litres minimum, to and fro, calculate that at #250 per litre. Plus once you go on that kind of trip in a day, your vehicle is already due for oil servicing as a daily driver...... If you look at my estimate, a trip to benin from lagos to benin, using the bolt app, will cost the driver on a fare of #35,000; Commission #10,500 Fuel cost 50litres@250/ltr #12,500 Oil servicing #11,500 (assuming mobile oil is used before or after the trip) So your trip to benin on a fare price of #35,000 using the bolt app to benin from lagos will cost that driver #34,500. So will a smart driver carry you from lagos to benin just to earn #500 for himself using the app? Why will any sane driver move from lagos to benin and back to lagos for any time frame between 7hrs-11hrs just to make #500. When he can drive that same timeframe within lagos, incur less expenses and even make more money than that? Minus the associated risks of travelling; risk of kidnapping, risk of being robbed on the way by armed robbers or even the passengers themselves, then the risk of accident or even vehicle breakdown or failure on the way........what happens if motor fail brake on the road or radiator suddenly burst? Cars are machines and are subject to wear and tear where does the driver get the cash from? So you see why the price looks very different from what you expect. You look at the price on the basis of distance, an app based driver will do so on the basis on personal cost incurable to prosecute that trip. Most passengers that use app based drivers consistently on apps like bolt/uber/rida/univasa want privacy, guaranteed Air-conditioning, ability to control the route the driver will take, pickup and drop-off from Doorstep to doorstep, control over driver's music playlist in the car, use of the driver's time for extra unplanned movement unrelated to the initial travel itinerary plus in some cases, complementary knacking on this side without the risk of scandal (I promise you, it has been known to happen)! That's why using an app based driver for an interstate trip will cost significantly higher than a bus or Sienna. Also on public transportation, Toyota Hiace buses to be precise, anybody that travels lagos-benin route consistently knows that Benin to lagos is always significantly higher than lagos to benin and where you end your journey counts.... Out of all parks from lagos to benin, mile 2 is the cheapest but returning back to lagos na mile 2, Volks bus stop and agric bus stop na E cost pass. As recent as last week, My uncle entered first bus from Mile 2 to Ekpoma 13k...... Okada, as in bike from Uromi to Ekpoma is #1,500, bus and audi on the same route is #1,000. Uromi to benin, Sienna is #2,500. Before now, with #300 I can move from uromi to ekpoma.....so things are changing by the minute..... Now I don't know how much Sienna costs but as at February, Benin to Ojota costs #9,000 on Ohonba line, so considering I expect Sienna to be a little bit higher, I don't think it's that bad ooh. N.B: Most of una whey dey talk price, dey talk based on apiam way or soòle or roadside park for drivers whey dey find fuel money to go join line for their main park for another state. Abeg me dey talk based on standard park owned by transport companies not just ariaria market park. Thank you |

chokekachy:Na small remain the one for middle wan cry, on top sweat. What a Foolish life to live........ ![]() |
nurey:Those are vehicles that are rushing to lagos to reload, go normal park and ask how much is motor.....make them shock you!! Even Uromi to Benin is #2,500 without AC, not to talk of lagos |
ahnie:Baba no driver will carry you from benin to warri based on app, you will run it offline and its nothing less than 15k to as much as #25,000 depending on the pickup point ..... What OP wrote there is lagos - warri/benin. Book warri with bolt or uber app, call and here what driver will tell you.... You will hear things like, I don't travel. The one that travel will tell you to run it offline, at nothing less than 75k.... The last person I know whey enter motor, bus and not sienna come Ekpoma from lagos just 2days ago na #13,000. Let no man deceive you. From Benin like this to lagos na #9,000 regular bus no level, GIG na #15,000 with AC...... The OP is not confused, I promise you |
turok:I will advise seeking a 2002 or 2003 Honda accord or a 2005 Honda civic on that budget, except you are lucky to meet a direct owner who just has used their car for a pretty long time....... Most cars are typical made visible to potential buyers by middle men who find it easier to make big bucks marketing Nigerian used cars than Foreign used, as foreign used cars are too expensive and it's a lot difficult to make huge volumes of cash on it, so getting a 2005 accord for that price will be difficult, it will require a lot of patience if at all you mistakenly see it......and direct access to the car owner with no middle man involved...... For instance, I have a used 2003 accord coupe, v6 for sale. Most buyers are offering within the range of a million to #1.2m because the car has been parked down since it was shipped in and wasn't really used.... But set awon middle men geng are pricing it for #700k. If I mistakenly say yes, they will just snap the car, say "I am coming", the next thing you will see the car on jiji for #1.5m - #1.8m. Ask them questions, you will hear #1.3m last, for car that owner may have agreed to sell for #700k, you see the wild margin..... But if you add that kind of money on a foreign used car, that is already too expensive.....imagine a Foreign used 2007 toyota camry that importer set price at #4m, then try adding a million naira extra to set asking price, that's #5m. Who will use #5m to buy a 2007 camry, it already looks over expensive at #4m, selling anything above that is ridiculous..... So for me, Registered 2005 civic is much more achievable or registered 2003/04 accord.........for your budget |
Kenosky1:A good Nigerian used 2006/07 Rav4 with 4plug engine should fit your budget nicely......it has good legs and great fuel consumption.....not to talk of good ground clearance in case you enter rough terrain or pot holes on the road

Kog45:Oga, I was born and raised in lagos, I have served and worked with NAF HQ in Jos at Old airport road, I know things that my eyes have seen inside this life? Police, SARS in particular have arrested me in my neighbourhood in lagos as an armed robber. I went to a neighbours house just at the back of my place, just one fence separates my house from my neighbours house, it's less than a stone throw to my house. For me to return back, around 10pm, I put key inside my gate, I was turning the key to open gate and enter my house, a van parked behind me, a police officer came down, corked an Ak47, told me straight,"If you turn that key again, I will finish you with bullet, you think say we no know you......" I stopped, they searched me, seized my phone, removed the key from my gate, seized it and called me an arm robber, trying to Rob my own Father's house. I abhor cultism, I don't do dreadlocks, I don't do tattoos, I don't drink alcohol, I don't smoke, I don't sag my trousers, i don't wear ear rings, I don't even wear chain wrist watch, let alone jewelry of any kind and I am clean shaved with low hair cut, as at this time I don’t even wear jeans at all, let alone rugged jeans so where they for know me? I was telling them, how can I rob my own father's house and with what, my own house key? A massive 7 room bungalow with an one storey bq and another house at the back, I live here for God sake.... The street dog, living in the mechanic workshop beside my Father's house, came out and came to my rescue to fight the officers. It came to position itself between me and the officers, I dey tell police, "even the dog know say I be E neighbour"..... The policemen, fired at the dog, the dog dodge and ran away to escape; the security guard in the mechanic workshop came out to find out what was going on, with his ID card and cutlass on him, he was arrested as a fellow armed robber, a driver passed us to go to his commercial vehicle, a trailer, to sleep in the workshop where it was under repair, he too was arrested. That was how 3 of us were arrested for armed robbery. We got to the police station, they wrote our confessions for us as armed robbers, remaining for them to use torture to convince us to sign it, my phone then was a Trium Mondo, which was a gift, very flat and expensive touchscreen phablet which uses 2 batteries was the exhibit that I stole as a robber, along with the cutlass of the security guard. it was the gunshots in front of my gate, targeted at the dog that brought out my mother, unfortunately we had already been carted away, she never saw us..........the fact that I have a routine of never sleeping outside my Father's house whenever I am in lagos, except I pre-inform my folks at home that got them worried. 6am the next morning, my mum went from mortuary to mortuary, police station to police station, till she found me at Agboju police station about to receive the beating of my life for armed robbery with 2 known guys from the neighbourhood...... My mother shouted sotay, that was how I and the 2 guys escaped, #3,500 in my pocket was seized by the police and they demanded I go and bring receipts for my phone, torchlight seized from the security guard and cutlass (Accoding to them I was the ringleader of the robbery gang, terrorising my neighbourhood)...... Other police officers called provost Monday, the police officer that led the arresting squad, he refused to listen, it was police control room that we called that directed me to meet with the DPO before we got our things back, them no still release the cutlass till today! Of which, the other police officers told me not to even mention that money was seized from me, else the DPO will end up siding the arresting officer because na the DPO, the arresting officer dey balance the money, I should tell them all that was taken from me except the cash, otherwise DPO may join SARS to implicate me further, that was how I escaped...... You no know police. Who no go, no know |
dvkot:God bless you, how can someone rape somebody, kill the person, sell the phone to a close associate in church and then confess with these words, "I just did it out of the wickedness of my heart"? Maybe he just saw her phone on the ground and chose to sell it only to hear say the victim was killed and raped later..... Police use broom shook for inside penis and told him to sign a written confession or die there, na E sign sharp....... It doesn't make sense, if he indeed was involved, knowing she was dead, he would have been inclined to sell the phone to a random stranger that can't be traced to him......it doesnt make sense |
Wagwanbrethren:You sure say that confession was not written at the barrel of a gun? Be like say police never shook broom for inside your prick before ask you question? Maybe the guy just see the phone for ground pick am up, go sell am ooh. Only to hear say them kill and rape the owner. Police will torture you to confess what they believe is true or what they want to hear. If you like, no talk say na you. You go know why them they use the slogan, "Police is your friend", make your mind for come down..... How can someone confess and say, "I just did it out of wickedness in my heart"? Does that sounds like a confession someone will make? How can you just see a girl, at 11pm and say I want to sleep with you? She say no, so I rape her? The confession sounds force and forged. "Na devil ooh", "I didn't mean to kill her ooh", "It was an accident", "I never meant to hurt/kill her" sounds like a plausible confession. Not "I just did it out of the wickedness of my heart". If I was a lawyer, I will, take up that case pro bono. Las las, you just see say them threaten to kill am if E no sign that confession and nothing will happen, and the guy swiftly chose life and signed what was before him after days of torture without relief....... This confession looks staged |
