FarmTech:I don't doubt that Chris tucker's life as a Christian influenced his content as a comedian, but him turning down next Friday because of his faith? That's just BooShit, utter rubbish.......Do your research, Chris tucker turned down Next Friday because he committed himself to the Rush Hour franchise and his role in that franchise wasn't all that "Religious"!! The actors where paid peanuts for Friday...... Chris was only paid $10,000 to do Friday and it was a hit!! Faizon love was paid only $2,500.... The executive producer of the movie (Ice-cube) didn't even bother to offer Chris and some of his Co-stars extra cash for their work there, despite the fact that it was a low budget movie that brought in bucks, over $27million in box office.....(that may seems small but for a movies produced by a gangstar rapper back in the day, it was considered successful). When the time came to do the sequel next Friday, Ice Cube offered to double their pay up to scale, double $2,500, how much is that $5,000? Double up $10,000 up to scale for Chris and tell me how much he will make.....? It was Faizon love that convinced Chris to take up a role in Rush hour for a whooping $3million dollars eventually cornering over $50million from the sequel, while Faizon love went on to act in the replacements for a $100,000...... Chris in my opinion only made that statement out of respect for ice cube because Friday shot Chris Tucker into Hollywood limelight and it would be Disrespectful for a brother to turned down another over cash in the hood. Chris Tucker's role as Smokey was key to the movies success and endearment to fans, so when Next Friday was announced, fans wanted Chris Tucker in it..... They only offered him $10million hoping he will give Next Friday a rethink and ditch the Rush Hour sequel........ Which blackman will ditch a Hollywood movie with a co star like Jackie Chan and a host of others, with a box office opening of $240m that paid you $3million for the first movie in a sequel, to feature in a movie sequel that paid you $10,000 on the first movie and the executive producer only offered you $10million hoping it will entice you to break a commitment you have for a Hollywood blockbuster series!!!?? I leave that question to the Nairaland panel of judges....... |
seanwilliam:When you say first owner, do you mean, first car user? If that is what you mean, then 2012 toyota camry is the answer...... Toyota corolla would have been my answer but it uses CVT transmission, it was once widely reported to have a software issue with the transmission that needs a software update......kazeems here can't deal with it, if you know an expert that has guaranteed expertise If that issue arises, I may have said corolla...... Es350 is good but expensive to maintain and fuel plus resale value drops fast second only to the Mercedes benz S class.... You can use #255million to buy a brand new S class and comeback in 2years time and hear the resale value is #50 million only if the car is very neat..... Accord 2014 is sweet to drive but cost of parts is second only to lexus es350 on that list...... The camry is the most rugged on that list and is most balanced of all on that list. If you must buy it, avoid the Hybrid version, it transmission is CVT as well..... Buy a 4 cylinder engine 2012 Camry SE or XLE with the back ac vent, you won't regret it |
waleco2008:Engine pix please! V6 or V4? |
cedeeqkarry:V6 or v4? |
Somebody give baba his meds, now!!? |
Bebigiby:I think this statement is purely sentimental, the only reason you still have an economy left is because of emiefele. For the record, the CBN govenor is not responsible for managing economy, that bulk stops at the door of Mr President...... Currency, regulation of financial systems and title of exchequer of the Nation, that's his responsibility..... It's just people look up to him to balance up, when the executive make a mess, and this government's mess is a shitload of a mess!! His Job is on economic issues is to complement what government is doing, how can an exchequer compliment a government whose official policy is borrow to fund consumption? No policy to boost local trade or manufacturing. For the record, as far back as 2018, analysts opined that the actual value of the dollar to the Naira was actually #1200, emiefele was serious wedging the himself between that value and what we have today... THE MAN DESERVES COMMENDATION AND NOT CONDEMNATION! And another thing, Please the election is actually the incentive for his current actions. He is not really trying to boost the naira magically to #200 to the dollar...... Considering how politicians use dollars to large volumes of cash against electoral expenditure, he is trying to wedge himself to force a steep decline in value! If emiefele didn't dump the kids gloves and chose to go hard-core, the Naira was confidently heading to a #1000 to the dollar and would have gone further beyond that if not for this new policy direction..... |
If only I know what emiefele is thinking......but in my opinion, the reason why most people want the CBN govenor to extend the deadline is the reason why he really shouldn't! For the first time, the CBN govenor is in a position of power, February is supposed to be that time year when an unusual amount of money will be in circulation, dollar and Naira.... He is trying to boost the value of the naira by restricting the actual use of the naira and triggering a hyper demand...... Also if he is thinking, what I think he is thinking, use the excess old notes in the system as leverage especially in the rural areas to pull the unbanked into the banking system!! So this I think will work, refuse to extend the deadline, allow the elections and the protest following invalidated currency to increase, then let people change the money on the grounds that it must be deposited in a bank account!! Place restriction and charges accordingly on certain volumes of cash accordingly, that way people don't use it as a business, where one person is helping 20,000 change old notes..... It can work |
Some people are just too stubborn, after wetin Gunners do these people, them go still go play Man U to win, over 4.5 for bet9ja!! Chai......Them don shepe for these people....... ![]() |

lavylilly:Hello! The 2 most expensive portions of a building project are the top and the bottom......Meaning foundation and roofing, alongside the masonry that goes into the roofing..... Then there's the fitting and furnishing after setting up the building, electricals/wiring, plumbing and septic tanks, surfacing and painting, bathroom/living room tiles or rug if you prefer!! Plus the cost of labour that goes into doing these things. I mean factor the general increase in cost of living (which will affect labour price), and cost of a bag pf cement and other resources like wood, nails and wiring...... Of which, we are assuming you already have land already, because to not have land and say you have 3million and need a house is mission impossible...... Except you want to use metal containers to build the house, which also has its own mad cost, because you will buy the container and then engage the services of a welder who will probably use generator which will create fuel costs..... I feel its best for you to consider what kind of house you want over what land size/specification that you have, before you seek a budget estimate and then PUSH!! |
