This thread shall reach 8 pages of pointless banter that will eventually veer off and end up having nothing to do with the original post grin

It's good, but we need more homegrown companies on that list instead of Guinness, Lafarge etc.

You get what I mean?

Maybe this will finally give Cardinal Arinze a chance, making him the world's first black pope.

...Or am I getting ahead of myself here?

Yet another blunder for the Nairaland Supermods.
Putting up a title that has absolutely nothing to do with the story.... Right on the frontpage.

Mmmmmmm.... Beaurriful.
SportsRe: 5 Eagles Named In AFCON 2013 Best 11 by Ejine(m): 10:35am On Feb 11, 2013
No players from South Africa though...
SportsRe: Player Rating - Nigeria Vs Burkina Faso AFCON Final by Ejine(m): 10:31am On Feb 11, 2013
Reference: In 1994 after a five-year build up starting in 1989 we won the Nations Cup and were whiskers away from the quarter finals at USA 94, ranked No. 1 in Africa and 9th in the world. Sure to win the Nations Cup in 1996. Then came politics. Abacha's spat with Mandela, Nigeria's withdrawing from South Africa 96, CAF banned us from Burkina Faso 98 and a generation of stars rotted away. CAF saw the AFCON gloss had faded without us and awarded us AFCON 2000.

By then the team had changed, coaches had gone and Ikpeba indecision at the spot reflected Nigerian soccer direction.

Lesson. Sports and politics don't mix. Poetic justice? We won after 19 years in South Africa who hosted in 96 against Burkina Faso who hosted when we were banned and whose only appearance in the final was that year.
A little correction though: We were ranked number 1 in Africa and 5th in the World.

But yeah, everything else you said is ON POINT cool
SportsRe: They Would Have Contributed To Nigeria Glory by Ejine(m): 10:08am On Feb 11, 2013
Osaze would've definitely been a better replacement for Ike Uche. The guy was just terrible.

Ideye needs more polishing sha. He appears to lack confidence for now.
SportsRe: 5 Eagles Named In AFCON 2013 Best 11 by Ejine(m): 10:02am On Feb 11, 2013
And if you noticed, those 5 players of ours are present in ALL the slots: Goalkeeper, Defender, Midfielder AND Striker!
Now, that's what I call WINNING!

Naija For Lyf!
SportsRe: 5 Eagles Named In AFCON 2013 Best 11 by Ejine(m): 9:57am On Feb 11, 2013
Damn! This is to show you Nigeria thoroughly dominated and deserved to win this game through and through!

I know the Ghanaians were calling the Zambians "fluke winners" last year, but this year, Nigeria TOTALLY and CONVINCINGLY won this game!

- Dominated the game possessions during all their matches (including the ones that ended with a draw).

- Has the highest goal aggregate

- Has the highest goal scorer (and I'm not talking about "Wack-Asss" and his ojoro penalties)

- Dominates the CAF best eleven with 5 solid players! The distant second being Ivory Coast with just 2 players!

Omo, my broda, no be small thing ooo! cool

Now, where is that Ghanaian moorron Lapaz? Like I told you guys, we are CLEARLY out of your league!

Nigeria won the medal while Ghana won handshakes, and Gyan won a "40 Leaves" Edeh-Times-Edeh exercise book (probably to write down Names of Noisemakers when they get back to Ghana).

Losers! grin

After achieveing this victory without Osaze, do you think he'll ever make the team again?

Remember, we need at least 2 or 3 more goals before I can relax.
These Burkinabes are dangerous and full of surprises.

A worthy adversary.

The referee is Algerian, so you better hit the nearest Prayer house.

PoliticsRe: Ohanaeze To APC - Field Igbo Presidential Candidate, by Ejine(m): 5:48pm On Feb 10, 2013
Sorry I thought they said APGA wasn't part of the union? Why are they now interested in fielding the candidate of a party they claim they are not part of ?
APGA and Ohanaeze are two different things, dude. Focus for Christ's sake.

Most of you guys on this forum are so ignorant you keep mixing APGA, Ohanaeze, MASSOB and the entire Igbo ethnic group. It's pathetic.

The first is a party, not solely for the Igbo per se, but with a strong political presence in South-East Nigeria.

The second is a tribal coalition of men who say they speak for the political interests of the Igbo, although the jury is still out on that one.

The third is a pressure group which pushes for the actualization of the Biafra sovereign country.

While the fourth is a large confederate sub-saharan ethnic group indigenous to the East of Nigeria.

These four groups exist and speak for themselves, and should be studied and approached separately.

Don't be a dunce.
