Better release all the results. Educational system in Nigeria is wallowing in the mire of shambles. If 100 schools wrote the just concluded WAEC, at least 89 schools will be involved in examination Malpractice.

The reason is not far fetched

1. Teachers are not being paid well to deliver by the private schools

2. Public schools are not being monitored to produce exceptional students anymore

3. Most graduates from different field of study don't have job and one of the few profession readily available for them is the teaching profession.

4. Examination agents and school owners/principals(in public schools) can only make money from Malpractice.


The effects would be

1. More students will make their papers without being thoroughly furnished in their various field of study

2. More people will patronize some schools because they will tag them as miracle centre

3. Schools that do not allow malpractice will keep diminishing in their number of registrations year in, year out.

4. Educational system will keep deteriorating in standard as student will no longer be reading but rather, it will be the teachers that will reading for the students to pass examination.


What are the possible solutions to tackling these causes and effects?

1. Create Employment for graduates. It is only graduate that doesn't have a job that will have time to engage in fraudulent act to make money

2. The few teachers in the school should be well paid so that they won't have reasons to engage in examination Malpractice

3. Government should monitor schools properly through the ministry of education at all Levels.

4. Organize series of symposium, seminals and workshop to engage students and teachers on the need to avoid examination Malpractice and possible way of reducing and eventually eradicating it.
