I think he did the right by speaking up, I wish he will just keep mute thereafter. Picking up legal battle now might serve as distraction to his career. Patience is a virtue,he can sue them after he has attained his world best status or after retirement. Knowing where and when to fight is more important than having the strength and resources for the fight. |
They are still calculating the next lies to dish out |
The Op is a religious bigot, if you carefully read in between lines, you can see his myopic view." Carrying the matter on his head like gala" with sole aim to instigate his like minds to violence. It's high time we set standard in institutions of learning. |
I don't even know what to believe again in this country. |
The Energy the Op is using to discredit this report is suspicious, How come @ Op you are not concerned that a citizen was shot by a police that was supposed to protect him in his own country, rather all you care about was the location the incident happened. The fact remains live bullet was used and people or someone lost his life as a result of that, a dream was cut short. A source of hope was terminated, somebody father, uncle, brother, friend, relatives. It could have been you @Op, let's call a spade a spade. |
Some questions sound stupid and how the mods push some topics to fp still beats my imagination. |
ClassicMan202:It's a very simple experiment, just try tapping tiles in your house and search for the one that has vacuum beneath it, it always makes sound, tilers can confirm this, then soak a piece of clothing and squeeze out the water, hold the cloth up high and wait until the water start dropping out and observe the sound of drop of the water on the tile it's echoes koi...koi...koi at that interval. Mind you I was a junior student then and our imagination and fear of the night was also a factor that plays out that night but most importantly that last bathroom tiles has that deep echo.. This was a real events with verifiable source,am sure by the time this made fp one of the fedvan 02-03 can recall this incident and confirm. |
Another Incident, Every boarding student might have heard of the popular myth about lady koi-koi. They was this faithful night( morning 2am). I and my friends just came back from from fetching water from the borehole, we usually poo, wash our day wear and bath before going back to sleep. Within this time frame(1am to 3am) the hostel is usually quite, the only noise you hear is people sleep talking saying few odd words and sounds of insect. I finished washing my shirt and spread it on the door frame of the bathroom while my friend k.c was inside the toilet doing the needful. I was about going to answer my own call of nature when suddenly we heard the sound of footstep at the doorstep....Koi...Koo...koi...Koo and paused then koi..koi..koi...koi and we froze because it was coming from the door and there's no other exit. I ran to the toilet where k.c was and we started struggling among ourselves while casting and binding....Everyman trying to use each other as shade to whatever is about to happen. When I succeeded to subdue him and hid behind, k.c out of fear dashed towards the door screaming..while I followed suit..our noise woke the nearby rooms occupants up and when they heard the sound, the hostel was in commotion. The last two room occupants deserted their rooms to safer ones and when some few courageous students muster courage to go check out what it was the sound has subsided. We looked around nothing/nobody was found at the bathroom and the story was passed as lady koi visited the hostel. A week later, I coincidentally washed same cloth on same last bathroom and spread on same door step, lo and behold the sound started again koi..koi..koi My people I screamed Eurika! Eureka!!( I found it). It was the sound of water drooling from my wet shirt on the tile( the tile was not properly filled during the tiling, thereby creating a vacuum inbetween the floor and the tile) hence the sound of that footstep. I called people around and narrated my discovery and we all laughed at our ignorance. |
Let me share my own experience at FGC vandeikya 03, Due to water scarcity junior students due fetch water by 1am to 2am. Though school authority frown at this habit but it was a survival trait you have to develop if you must survive because once the rising bell is rung every student rush out at same time hence the queue and struggle is something most of us can't contend with. Back to the story, this faithful day, my friend K.C woke us up(a group of 3) as usual we tip toe out of the hostel to avoid alerting other students and the house captain. When we got to the borehole( manual pumping borehole). Prologue: They has been stories passed down by students of some spirit beings always coming to fetch water at that borehole between 12am-1am. just like every boarding school myths we believed it was told to discourage people from going to the borehole at that time. Back to the story, as soon as we arrived at the borehole k.c started pumping it while I was rinsing the bucket. we hurriedly filled our cans. This was done in a rush because once the night guard (security) hears the sound, He will come and Chase us away. I helped Ejike with his can which is a big bucket, and while I was trying to carry mine, lo and behold the borehole started pumping itself. People of God, As soon as we heard the sound of water gushing out, they was this cold breeze and shivering that griped us and we ran, all man to his tent, as fast as your leg can go. We narrated the story the next morning to our housemates and classmates, this incident confirmed the authenticity of the previous experiences of other people and the myth was established as fact. This happened 2003, Fastforward to 2011, I am now a geotechnical Engineer, I narrated this incident to my colleague and we all laughed at our ignorance. The incident has nothing to do with spirit. (Capillary action, pressure and high water table at that time) Engineers in the house will understand better what happened. |
What if someone poisoned the young doctor with sniper and drop the container to make it look like suicide, am Just thinking, what if; this is Nigeria, Everything is possible. Let's stop assuming without proper investigation. |
Op forget all these people advising you to go confrontational. Wisdom is profitable to direct; Use your head, they are scenarios where the physical approach works but that's if you are battling less devil, use your tongue and count your teeth. For me I will advise silent approach,be unpredictable, say nothing,do nothing, let them continue guessing, try and get much documents as evidence, choose your fight wisely and your timing. When it's time to strike, show no mercy and you will laugh last. But if you do "gragra"now, Hmm they might send you to go and meet your father, remember the heart of men are desperately wicked and when greed is involved men know no limit. That is, if you are not the greedy one In The story oo, because we only heard one side of the story. |
chinchonglee:. Before making senseless post; Take a minute to consider the fact that, Futminna is a federal University and people from all the 36states are represented either as a student or worker. Things happening far north can affect you directly or indirectly more than the one happening in your backyard.pray for peace |
I read through the right up, but what I don't understand is exactly the point you are trying to pass across the audience. Please look for something better to do if you lack content. |
daddytime:Nigerians are too emotional, you reason with your emotion instead of your head. Did you see the acknowledged copy of the said letter? Why was the letter not publicized as at then, why making it public now? They have been no evidence pointing to the fact that design criteria was not meant or construction code of practice was not followed untill investigation is concluded kindly control what you say and limit it to what you know and not what you heard. Do you know if the suppliers supplied sub standard materials?? Pls let's focus on how to save those trapped, you could have channel your energy to the government that can't mobilize large rescue operation that could have increased the chances of survival of the victims. |
Why are we talking about future occurrence when people are still trapped in the rubbles, I read where someone said rescue workers go on 3hours break, why can't we value human life in this country, instead requesting for more volunteers and assistance from other state, they are parading their selves and posing for camera while people are beneath that rubbles for 36hours now no water, no food, limited oxygen and probably injury that requires emergency attention. If you are living in Nigeria, you are only surviving by the special Grace of God |
OnlineArchitect:You people keep mixing things up, Architect Job is to draw, his mistake can also be termed a design, it's the structural guys(civil Engineers), the building tech that is responsible for the safety of the structure that their mistake can be disastrous. Except you are among those quack architect that feels they can draw, design and supervise a building which at the end,we always know the outcome. |
I am Just curious, I'm still waiting for the official statement of his actual offence not stipulation. If it's tax fraud as earlier accused or money laundering or both. But in all these am sure it would have done both parties more good if they have kept it secret untill actual case is established. Enough of all this media trial and accusations. |
Adegunle4:If after investigation it was revealed that the developer derailed from the design details he will be held liable for the collapse. Having read about more details coming out am buying into the thought of poor construction because no properly design structure will collapse without warning ( showing signs of failure). Before the collapse they should have been noticeable signs like crack, bending/tilting of the structure and partial collapse but what am seeing look more like a controlled demolition hence why I wondered on the timing of the collapse...at a time the owner is in the building. There's more which only a detailed investigation can reveal. |
Most people without engineering or structural knowledge are just speaking out of ignorance.Nigerians are quick to pass judgement. Let me point out few things fyi: 1. No structure of that magnitude will be constructed without a detailed structural design and analysis by a certified structural engineer, this is done using advanced softwares. 2. That certification and approval which most people are basing their argument for condemnation are dependent on the results of the design as stated above. 3.The developer can't use a substandard material or go against the design details knowing the implication of that decision. 4. If the design state Y20 reinforcement rod and the producer uses scrap metal with less tensile strength as but same diameter, this becomes the issue with SON and not the developer because son gave the approval for the existence or importation of all the building materials My point is that most times the fault lies with the producers of building materials and not the Engineers or the construction team. This same Italian team can construct same building in Italy and it will exceed the functional and structural requirements but if materials are sourced within Nigeria and using same building codes it gives different outcome. Another angle am also considering is why would the building collapse at the exact time the owner is in the building....it is more than coincidence..... you get my point now. |
1.It depends on the quality of the block, the main function of the column(pillars) is to transfer the weight of the beam and the roof to the sub-structure 2. This building will likely develop crack in the future in an event of heavy vibration, explosion or renovation works that requires cracking of the wall. 4.Another observation Is that it will be affected by dampness as a result of capillary water which will also weaken the structure, u will start noticing this after plastering. My advice and suggestions 1. If there's Ground slab(German floor) make sure the compound backfill (G.L)is below the Ground slab, this is to prevent the wall dampness as a result of both capillary action and permeability 2.install External column not necessarily now when ever you start noticing crack 3.the number and sizes of doors and windows will determine the durability of the structure hence minimize it since no column was introduced to bear the load to reduce the stress on the block wall 4.if it will be a rented out ensure no work is allowed like installing window AC etc that will further subject the block wall to future stress. Always consult and engineer to simulate using softwares before carrying out construction. |
In case you are doubting OP story, Pray you don't meet those devils, I would have doubted it too but I once fell a victim. My experience: This happened in October 2015 at Aflao border( the border btw Togo and Ghana). A friend already fell a victim a week to this day, so I was concious when I got there, I was coming from Benin republic to Ghana, As I was heading towards the area where the immigration officers are to stamp my intl passport, this roughly unkept looking Guy approached me shouting Makola market, Kaneshi ... repeatedly. I said in my mind "Na them" because there is no way they will be loading a car inside Togo territory when I have not crossed to Ghana, I was concious but don't know why am even having a discussion with him, he kept telling me one chance left, I told him am not going but he kept talking to me to an extent he walked me to where I stamped my passport and crossed with me to Ghana side, He then insisted I should come and board the vehicle now, the vehicle he was pointing at initially was still in Togo bt we are already in Ghana, I told him plainly that I don't want to enter.. that the stuff he is using is not working on me, I knew he was trying to hypnotize me because he kept touching his ring, then all of a sudden I remember I was supposed to use ATM since I had just Ghc20 on me even though I plan withdrawing when I get to Weija my destination, this "Devil" waved at a stand-by bikeman, climbed with me to the ATM, I made withdrawal and he asked the Bike man to take us to an area I have forgotten the name bt along the shore of the occean. I kept quite while he kept robbing the ring on my thigh as I sat inbtw him and the bike man, when we approach the border park he took the road by the left if you are conversant with the area, that road is mostly used by bikemen that wants to evade immigration or if you have contraband,I said in my mind this man don't know stuff like this don't work on me but why I kept following them is what I don't understand because in my mind I know the man was trying to hypnotize me and the bikeman is his gang member, as we approach the occean there is area that look like a hideout by weed smookers immediately fear griped me, my spirit was restless the confidence left me, I started sweating while the man was making incantation mumbling,...I look up and saw an immigration officer coming out from one corner as if he went to answer call of nature, Immediately I told the bikeman turn this bike now or I shout, the officer saw us cos I was dragging the bike man hand, he stopped and was observing us and the bikeman started laughing and he turn the bike bt I wasn't still comfortable I requested to come down, I griped the man when he hesitated to stop the bike.... my people that wasn't the end oo, I alighted and this devil still followed me told me that Ghana police is arresting Nigerians with Ghanaian currency that I should handover my money to him to check if it's fake else I would be arrested, I was still semi-conscious so I told him I know fake currency more than him beside I hv been in this country for 5years now I renew my residence permit, I have my non indigen ID so no one will arrest me, he then waved one guy among those ones changing naira to cedis and the guy came and spoke Igbo with me, immediately I dropped my guard cos I feel save now at least I hv seen my brother or so I think. How wrong I was, the guy concur to what the other guy said and I handed the money to this my fellow Nigerian, he took me aside, told me to take the money and wave round my head three times so that the money won't disappear, I replied him that it's a taboo in my place to wave money round my head that my life is more important than money, after several attempt to convince me failed he then took out bunch of money from his bag swing it on my face, I held his hand and told him am disappointed he is taken side with this Ghanaian that am going he should give me my money, it's getting dark now about 5:30-6pm, place I arrived abt 3pm. He said I should wait that let's go to a place we can sit pointing to that direction the officer saved me from the bikeman, I then started explaining to another guy that came and join them by this time they are about 3new faces, whenever I try to stop a passer-by they will interrupt me. I Couldn't hold it again I Burst out in anger, grab the first guy that took me to atm to give me my money, he said he has given immigration people the money he first collected from me when we where on top bike, I refused, held his cloth the guys separated us ask me to clam down. I then faced the Igbo guy to give me the money he collected from me, he wanted to run I grab him, by then the other idiot ran likewise his gangs, he then removed the money from a bunch in his bag, use paper to wrap it and gave me, still speaking Igbo that I should calm down,I shouldn't shout if not the police will arrest us. He instructed I shouldn't open the paper until I get home, if not the money will disappear, I collected my money and left, I entered the park boarded a bus, told one I guy I saw inside the bus my story, he said I should open d paper. My people when I open the paper..I saw only Ghc50 the rest gone. I rushed back i couldn't locate them, I reported to the immigration officers they advised I should go home that am very lucky. Sorry for the long epistle..Hope you learn from my story. |
How are they going to prevent the make/female teachers from seeing the both genders? I asked because I saw a curtain separating them, probably to prevent either parties from seeing others. |
I might be wrong, but I sense a deep political tone in this write up with sole aim of fanning the online tribal war between the yorubas and igbos and if am right it's all about 2023. Maybe the aim is to keep this two tribes divided for reasons best known to them and that is why( or so I think),we keep seeing those people creating conflicting topics, derailing threads like this Mr mainman7 We are in the 21st century, instead of creating a healthy competition that will bring forth Innovation, youths spend time here hating, insulting and abusing people old enough to be their parents. Mr mainman7, I feel your problem is not just Jude okoye or how the okoye's treated Lola, your problem is deep hatred, bitterness envy and jealousy, you need to see a counselor mental health is important. I come in peace mainman7: |
Op Get a diary and document your activities; First step, try going to the Coca-Cola company where he worked,it will be easier for you now that you are a student, meet the manager, explain yourself and record the feedback. If you can get information like his community and Local government of origin, then you can bring it up here, you don't need to travel to his village, people around that vicinity will do it for you, You are on a right track, he is your dad no matter what had happened, you deserve to know him and have a talk even if you won't be part of his life. Wishing you a fruitful search |
What is your time frame ( duration you intend to invest the Money). What amount are you expecting as monthly R.O.I I have shared my little possible investment options on a similar thread a guy was asking possible business to start with N500k, you can search for it and read for yourself Now back to the topic. Let me share this idea here, so that others with similar needs can benefit also. You can either do it officially or unofficial, just go to any accountant, tell him you have a spare 2m, Incase any staff of their company needs emergency loan at 10%. if ur generous make it 5%, he/she can contact you. Let me throw more light; 1. You collect 3month printed statement of account of the staff, this is to astain the amount he/she earns 2. He/she provides you a post dated cheque 3. Make a friend with any teller of the bank his/her salary account is domiciled.give the cheque to him so that once the salary enters he can withdraw the cash and credit you. 4.if the amount is high for example ( The person earns 100k and need a soft loan of 240k, if he wants to pay back within a 3months period, ask him to go and write an irreversible standing order instruction on the bank stating amt to be debited and credited to your acct. 5. This kind of soft loan is applicable to workers of reputable organization, banks, companies or school( ppl with permanent Job) 6. Once you have ally( the accountant of the organization, a teller in the bank his salary account is domiciled, the risk is very low. 7.if you want to invest in a proper business idea, then consider FCMG, we are about entering the season, just get contact of sales rep of product of your choice, from September the demand will surge. You don't have to go and open a shop to sell, let me drop this little trick. 1. The reason I ask you to get a contact of a sales rep is because they will connect you to buyers. 2. Most of the goods takes minimum of a month, some two months before the company will deliver it, this is because the demand is high so many distributors buy what I will call ''turn'', that's when the sales rep becomes important.if you need further clarifications, drop your questions via email, I don't drop my contact on public forum: emetechintegratedservice@gmail.com( I might not reply immediately, but will definitely reply once am chanced). Hope you find this helpful. |
The location,Competent Manpower, logistics available and competition within the area you intend siting the warehouse will determine the Turnover. Drinks like Every other FMCG is dependent on turnover. Some companies pay you R.O.I and incentives monthly these are the major source of profit for most distributors aside the profit they make from selling the product. Other source of income can come in form of allowance for sales rep and Fuel money for the vehicles. Unfortunately most stater companies don't usually offer this incentives Making the distributorship of such drinks less lucrative. Before you apply for distributorship discuss this terms with the Business development officer or the company sales rep. Then you can diversify your options but remember the higher the incentive the less likely the product sales fast. Generally distributorship is a good business, less stress and easy to monitor. |
Looking at the above statistics, every right thinking southerner(SE,SS,SW) supposed to feel aggrieved and cheated, Monkeys can't be working for the baboons to be eating. On the other hand, Every right thinking northerner( NE,NC,NW) supposed to feel concerned and angered because dependency on other region for survival is a suicide mission, because the day the monkeys choose to work and insist on eating the fruit of their labor that day the baboons will starve or learn to work. Having said that, why would the baboons depend on the monkeys for Food where the forest is home for both, they have all the tools to make their own food. If the monkey keep giving the baboons food they are both going against the plan of nature. The north have enough resources given to them by mother nature likewise the south, every region should look inward generate its own revenue doing that mother nature will smile on us and we will be great country again Restructuring is the only way we can salvage this country because as it stands now, it's vanishing into thin air. |
God is the only hope of a common man, Innocent people suffering as a result of a failed system, The Irony of this whole stuff is that this people arrested and paraded even though are presumably innocent until proven Guilty by a competent Court will be denied their fundamental human rights, treated as common criminal, bullied, detained, extorted and some unlucky ones either jailed or killed by same people who are elected to uphold the rule of law. Sometimes I ask what is the hope of a common man in the face of all this injustice, Do we all resign our hope to fate or there's something that can be done( because the police will tell you there's nothing you can do about it). My prayer is that God intervene in their case because there is no hope in the system. |
achillesfoot:In as much as I agree to your opinion, It will only take someone with great ambition and desire to pull it through, like you said he is a timid guy and it's obvious he is scared of the unknown that is why he choose the easy part( i.e his comfort zone) ...Not everyone is a risk taker, it's not for a mediocre. |
Ogar Mentor, If you are so certain of the high returns and profitablity of this your affiliate marketing, you would have been so rich by now, I was expecting you to indulge in philanthropy instead of looking for naive people to take the little money they have as fee for training. ...By massive sensitization in your church/mosque and your village etc By now we would have been hearing your name. Mr Man stop mixing up fiction with Facts with your fake story. Deep down in your heart you know it's the training fee you are interested in. When people sale books on how to get rich to the poor while themselves need the book more than the buyers it's called stealing by tricks. |
