1) Disappear for 6 months or more(IF YOU CAN O) and create a NEW LIFE time table for yourself
2) get books on practical businesses, join whatsapp groups for free teachings- learn something you can start with no or little money
3)IF YOU ARE 101% SURE THAT YOU MUST START THE BIZ WITH MONEY... get 5-7 loan apps and borrow a sum of 100k from them(this should be a last resort else you life will go down) you can check nairaland for business ideas to do with little or no money, or just look around your area and FIND what is LACKING AND MEET THAT NEED.
4) START.. LAUNCH THE BUSINESS AND START MAKING INCOME like you calculated in your planning phase.
5) Don't buy luxury or even so much basic needs till you pay back the LOAN, so you can have peace.
6) before doing all these steps, FORGIVE YOUR FRIEND but NEVER EVER IN YOUR LIFE FORGET THE BITTER LESSON THEY TAUGHT YOU.
7) USE THE PROFIT FROM THIS FIRST BUSINESS TO MAKE THE BUSINESS VERY STRONG-get lawyers, accountants, assets like land,etc

Ebonyi came to limelight during the tenure of Dr. Sam, I can remember some of my friends then that got free state scholarship to study abroad, I think he deserve credit especially in terms of Education no other governor has come close including the incumbent.I have many enlighten Ebonyians as colleague

Ebonyi state is not doing bad interms of development in my opinion.
I think Ebonyian has been lucky in terms of leadership from Dr sam egwu(Education), to Martin Elechi( empowerment and Engr.Dave umahi( infrastructure).
The positive trend is that each government trys to continue from previous administration effort instead of abandoning it.

Bullying occurs in almost all boarding houses that's a fact.

During my days , a senior will walk in with an empty bucket and ask us junior students to "garnish it" meaning put garri, sugar, milk, bournvita, kuli kuli etc, para venture we don't have, na serious beating

Not to talk of pocket money those miscreants collect from us on a daily basis.

Fetching water for senior students na the worst, them go give you like 10 buckets

I have seen first hand where an ss3 student used a machete (Langa Langa) to flog a student putting on just boxers .

After my JSS3 nobody tell me before I carry my two legs jakpa never to return again

My mum never fought for me. No one ever did, I was always a victim. It kinda made schooling difficult for me.. but it made me stay out of trouble. Always minding my business, people could step on my toes and walk away. I'll still tell you sorry and cry...

A friend once said

2. "If a teacher asked you to kneel down,say no and put a call to me, I will gladly come and pick you up and change you from that school" this are lines he will remind them every morning before dropping them off in school.
3."if your fellow student/pupil hit you or offend you, don't fight back, daddy has enough money to get the student/pupil arrested and punished legally".
4." Don't let anybody make you do what you don't want to do, know your right and stand by it, I am your father, I will tell you what is right and wrong, anything else don't pay attention to it. Remember this, don't ever let anybody intimidate you, I will stand by you and defend you".

We argued about this until I gave up as he insisted that is how he wants to raise his kids.

His reason was because he was bullied, molested and his parents never stood by him or believed him when he complains that he don't want his children to feel what he felt.

This Dowen story is making me understand the guy better now.

In Life you cannot control or determine what should happen to you but you have control of how you will react to what happened to you.

The school management should have done a thorough investigation without favour before releasing that official statement, because as it stands now, if at the end it was discovered that the boy died as a result of bullying and not injury sustained during football game then the school mgt are an accomplice.

Reactive Government, though the decision of the State government is highly commendable, this is to ensure proper investigation but I think it would have been more fruitful if the decision/action of the government is channel towards preventive and proactive measure like mandating all school proprietors, principals etc to sign undertaking that if any related issues like bullying, cultism etc are found to be existing within their jurisdiction they will pay a fine and the school close down. This will make the school management to sit up.

Those who are conversant with boarding school environment knows that it's either the school is ignorant of the activities going on at the hostel or they are deliberately and consciously shielding the culprit.

The problem now is that this is not a secluded issue, it's happening in most day and boarding secondary schools but as usual we do prefer to live in denial.

Let other schools authority be proactive, take a lesson from this incident and put a preventive measure not when it happens they will start releasing counter productive statement to save face, now is the best time.

In my opinion, the boy was told by the bullies what to say, it is possible the incident happened during football exercise, if you are conversant with boarding school environment you will know the confrontation might have Happened while they are using the football game to disguise.

Secondly the boy out of fear because of intimidation won't tell the parents what transpired. The only person that can unravel the truth is the elder brother. Elder brothers especially the ones that attended boarding school can easily get the truth out of the boy.

The school authority should know activities like this one often take place among boarding student and highly confidential, the the only way they can get the truth is not by questioning the boys mentioned but by introducing an insider to blend among and become the ear of the school authority in the hostel.

Bullying in hostels are under reported, usually it's a clique but due to rot in the society they are now bold enough to present themselves as cultist just to create more fear and respect.

The school has work to do and it's applicable to all boarding house in the country.

I really understand what you are getting at cos I initially told my sis to just go there and place a judgement on her and leave but after a while, when I remembered the whole scenario, my head just sparked because what if it was his nose or forehead that hit the table or worst still, what if he had died? This is not the first time. The boy still has a dark mark on his neck from the flogging she gave him. Now this. Each time I remember it, my heart just goes out to this boy because hes my twins son. He's just like my own son.

What the teacher did was wrong, But I do suggest the mother go to the school and have a chat with the teacher, thereby letting him know the implication of his action if she should take it up legally.

The outcome of the visit will determine her next line of action.
If the teacher is remorseful enough I think he deserve a chance to redeem himself, his action might not really be his personality especially where they have been no record of such or similar scenario before this incident.

Getting the teacher sacked, imprisoned and made to pay for dentist bill to serve as deterrent for others sometimes has adverse effects of producing carefree teachers and dull pupils.

Mercy in this scenario get the message passed with better results for all parties involved.

Pull the child and enroll her in a lesson centre, this is to keep her busy and also use the opportunity to be preparing for next year Jamb

The Nigeria University curriculum is actually design to favor people in her situation.
For the fact she is a fast learner is enough reason to pull her out of the school and save that money for more important stuff.

Everything they will teach her in SS3 will be repeated during her 100level. This is to ensure that those who missed out get equiped before the main courses will be introduced.

Let her start preparing for Jamb now, by preparing and testing her self with past question.

It's a very simple experiment, just try tapping tiles in your house and search for the one that has vacuum beneath it, it always makes sound, tilers can confirm this, then soak a piece of clothing and squeeze out the water, hold the cloth up high and wait until the water start dropping out and observe the sound of drop of the water on the tile it's echoes koi...koi...koi at that interval.

Mind you I was a junior student then and our imagination and fear of the night was also a factor that plays out that night but most importantly that last bathroom tiles has that deep echo..

This was a real events with verifiable source,am sure by the time this made fp one of the fedvan 02-03 can recall this incident and confirm.

Another Incident, Every boarding student might have heard of the popular myth about lady koi-koi.
They was this faithful night( morning 2am). I and my friends just came back from from fetching water from the borehole, we usually poo,wash our day wear and bath before going back to sleep.

Within this time frame(1am to 3am) the hostel is usually quite, the only noise you hear is people sleep talking saying few odd words and sounds of insect.

I finished washing my shirt and spread it on the door frame of the bathroom while my friend k.c was inside the toilet doing the needful. I was about going to answer my own call of nature when suddenly we heard the sound of footstep at the doorstep....Koi...Koo...koi...Koo and paused then koi..koi..koi...koi and we froze because it was coming from the door and there's no other exit.

I ran to the toilet where k.c was and we started struggling among ourselves while casting and binding....Everyman trying to use each other as shade to whatever is about to happen.

When I succeeded to subdue him and hid behind, k.c out of fear dashed towards the door screaming..while I followed suit..our noise woke the nearby rooms occupants up and when they heard the sound, the hostel was in commotion. The last two room occupants deserted their rooms to safer ones and when some few courageous students muster courage to go check out what it was the sound has subsided.

We looked around nothing/nobody was found at the bathroom and the story was passed as lady koi visited the hostel.

A week later, I coincidentally washed same cloth on same last bathroom and spread on same door step, lo and behold the sound started again koi..koi..koi
My people I screamed Eurika! Eureka!!( I found it).
It was the sound of water drooling from my wet shirt on the tile( the tile was not properly filled during the tiling, thereby creating a vacuum inbetween the floor and the tile) hence the sound of that footstep.
I called people around and narrated my discovery and we all laughed at our ignorance.

Let me share my own experience at FGC vandeikya 03, Due to water scarcity junior students due fetch water by 1am to 2am.
Though school authority frown at this habit but it was a survival trait you have to develop if you must survive because once the rising bell is rung every student rush out at same time hence the queue and struggle is something most of us can't contend with.

Back to the story, this faithful day, my friend K.C woke us up(a group of 3) as usual we tip toe out of the hostel to avoid alerting other students and the house captain. When we got to the borehole( manual pumping borehole).

Prologue: They has been stories passed down by students of some spirit beings always coming to fetch water at that borehole between 12am-1am.

just like every boarding school myths we believed it was told to discourage people from going to the borehole at that time.

Back to the story, as soon as we arrived at the borehole k.c started pumping it while I was rinsing the bucket. we hurriedly filled our cans. This was done in a rush because once the night guard (security) hears the sound, He will come and Chase us away. I helped Ejike with his can which is a big bucket, and while I was trying to carry mine, lo and behold the borehole started pumping itself.
People of God, As soon as we heard the sound of water gushing out, they was this cold breeze and shivering that griped us and we ran, all man to his tent, as fast as your leg can go.

We narrated the story the next morning to our housemates and classmates,this incident confirmed the authenticity of the previous experiences of other people and the myth was established as fact.

This happened 2003, Fastforward to 2011, I am now a geotechnical Engineer, I narrated this incident to my colleague and we all laughed at our ignorance.

The incident has nothing to do with spirit.
(Capillary action, pressure and high water table at that time) Engineers in the house will understand better what happened.

What if someone poisoned the young doctor with sniper and drop the container to make it look like suicide, am Just thinking, what if; this is Nigeria, Everything is possible.
