Please please and please, when you are writing the statement, a beg u in the name of police. Keep your paragraphing skills at home. Write the whole statement without leaving any spaces between lines . dont try to keep paragraph spaces for police. To you they are paragraphs; but to the police they are free spaces to add their own salt and pepper to further implicate you. Can you see how I wrote this post? Just copy me. No spaces anywhere a beg. |

GoldPencil: Lol. No worries my man. That price is only for the hardcover, the paperback version. (They ) said that the cost of printing it means I can't sell below $6. However, the ebook version is only 99 cents. In fact, as of yesterday sef, it was free. You can read it freely if you have subscribed to kindle unlimited, orrrr...even better, using your amazon account, you can give me a nice review and your email address, and I'll mail a copy to you free. OK now I understand |

bros1234: It turns out the book is 140 pages. I dont think that was 58k words really. That should be about 17,000 words book. I just published a 22,000 words book that ended up as 160 pages.
I also noticed that you are dragging the release of the book, its still on pre-order, i dont know why, but then, God bless your hustle. I think I like the title On Amazon kindle... It's 190 pages. On A4 paper it's 127 pages... Where did u see 140? It has been on preorder for sometime now even b4 I finished writing. I listed the book several weeks before I finished writing. You have to be careful doing this because amazon gives you a deadline you should not miss. There is a penalty |

Politics › Re: The Causes Of Economic Recession In Nigeria. By Gab O. by EkoErrands: 12:40am On Sep 07, 2016 |
Abujapropertyag: I still find it funny that most people don't know why Nigeria economy went into recession, they love the incompetent lies of Lai Mohammed about the past government ruining everything. It's also myopic to think that if Jonathan were to still be in power, we would be worse off.The truth about Nigeria's recession is this; it was caused by the president's unguided rhetoric and uncultured body language.Firstly, there is nothing we are buying today that we weren't buying 5 years ago, therefore it's not our purchase that put pressure on Naira but withdrawal of funds by foreign investors. After the election, the president created instability with his unguided statements about how everyone is corrupt and how everyone is going to jail. The instability made foreign investors to liquidate their investment and change their money to dollars. In the process of trying to flee, they were willing to buy dollars at any price, which lead to high exchange dollar rate.Even though some of them were not ready to run away, but want their money in dollars to save their investments from devaluation, the president gave a bad signal by banning deposit of foreign currency into domiciliary accounts. That was enough for free market believers to see the draconian handwriting on the wall, that was the beginning of dollar rush.To make matters worse, the president came up with another outrageous policy of rationing dollar to certain sectors and blocking many sectors out. That was the nail in the coffin which facilitated the emergence of free FALL.In the end, foreign investors took over $80B out of the economy within a short period and everything went down to free fall.To those who believe it will be worse if Jonathan is still there, you are all wrong. Policy continuity and political stability will not let billions of dollars leave our shores within such tiny time frame. Even though the government might have income shortage, the private sector will weather the storm by their confidence in the market. The fear of the unknown created by PMB is responsible for the economic downturn not low oil price. Interest rate in America is currently at 0.5%while it is 12% in Nigeria. JP Morgan Chase will not mind borrowing $50billion from Feds at 0.5 and put in Nigeria for return of %2000 profit.Citi bank will do the same, likewise us Bank Corp. Chase gave Buhari warning about the repercussions of his fixing policy before they pulled out, but his illiterate cyber warriors and miss educated e-soldiers said JPMORGAN can go to hell, they no longer believe in economic metrics since their messiah is in charge.Funny enough they are all suffering today because of the stupid policy, but they find relief by blaming it on past administration and Gucci appetite of average Nigerians. For your information, if your president "kontunu" with his unguided rhetoric, Naira will godown to N1000/1 $. But we thank God, he is no longer talking. I thought I was the only one that knew this. The painful thing is that Adeosun and Osunbade will be looking for what is inside their shokoto in Sokoto. Till 2019, they will never think in this direction...and those of us who know the true problem like you rightly spelt out here dont have the connection to Abuja to tell them and also prove it to them. So let's kukuma all drown together. How can you flaunt court orders and expect investors to trust you with their money? How? Take MTN fine for example. If Buhari had been respecting court orders do you think MTN would be looking for where to get 1trn Naira from? They will challenge Nigeria in a Nigerian court...and the case will be there for years. Since they know Nigeria courts are toothless under Buhari...that is why MTN is begging. Now tell me, if you are an investor, aside all the command and control financial policies Buhari started with, will you bring your money into a lawless society like Nigeria when you know you can't even get fair hearing in court? Nigeria is doomed already. The Economy is like Ebola...it spreads/crashes swiftly...but to rectify it takes eternity. If they still love this entity called Nigeria so much...they better restructure and redenominate our currency now...because it will get to a point Nigerians will take to the street. And I'm talking Lagos. But by then it will be too late. That's when the fools in Aso rock will know that 500,000 strong armed forces is a spec of dust compared to 170 million hungry people. Somalia will be paradise by then. |

bros1234: Why are you making your book on preorder, are you formating for createspace?. You need to publish a lot of books to really make money on this thing. KDP select is very good. Enroll all your books there and do two or three days promo for each. Make sure that in each book on promo, there is information about the other books.
Cheers I stumbled upon pre-order listing on Amazon so I listed ....they gave me a deadline to upload the final manuscript. Thanks for the KDP select advise...I will enroll right away. About having so many books on Amazon, its good but my first book is at 51,000 words and 13 chapters. I will be rounding up by months end. By then it may be up to 60,000 words... So having many books on KDP may be slower for me because I'm not writing HOW TO books which are usually very short. I hear some people saying they have 30 books already on KDP...pls I want to ask...do those books have up to 30,000 words each or 60,000 words...I doubt; but if they do pls hint me so I can sit up abeg. |

Thanks What do you know about KDP Select? I'm contemplating trying it out. Though I haven't enrolled yet. My title is on pre-order now; to drop Sept 30th. If it drops and I don't get a bleep on my report graph after some days I will eroll for select and wait out the 90 days gestation period. Maybe that will give it the required boast. Plus my next book is mentioned in this first one... That's a plus I think! |

I hope to upload all twenty books before September ending and leave them there. Though they are doing fairly, some in 80,000 rank and some lesser. I hope to branch out by October.

bros1234: Bro. You're welcome on board. Let us know what you have learned so far. It might save a life(lol).
The challenge really is not about getting reviews from friends, but getting verified purchase reviews based in USA. Although I have told some friends and they accepted to buy and add a review. So this week, that's what I'll be exploring. So far, I have 9 books and at least I sell 1-2 copies daily, but i need to move faster. Today is my 20th day in the experience and I just have about 30 copies sold. I need to learn how to sell 20 copies of books daily. I'll keep learning.
Welcome bro. Rule number 1 from my research is.... Forget the glory you want to enjoy by using your Yoruba , igbo or Hausa name. Use a pen name instead. Make it sound British if you like 2. Please please please avoid typos and bad punctuation... Your proof reading should be 101% perfect. Oyibo can carry vex for errors eehn. If 1 bad review about typos enter... U are doomed . 3. Try and create funnels to your book. Research this one! These are just some of the tips I picked up while researching... I haven't tried them though. |
Business › Re: *MODIFIED* Making Money With Publishing on Amazon Kindle, CreateSpace, etc by EkoErrands: 1:47pm On Aug 15, 2016 |
Reviews are important no doubt... But I think that's the easy part. You can ask a friend to plug in a review for you. You can also ask 10 more friends to do same.
There are other factors involved ... I haven't published yet...I'm still writing but I'm doing lots of research and I can share in this discussion... |

With the prevailing economic down turn in Nigeria today, people have become inventors over night and I'm no exception...I have invented not less than 5 new products and ideas and a language is the latest of my invention. But I haven't finish learning my Igbo language so I may not be needing this new language . If you have tried to invent a spoken language before, you will realize its no small task. So we should be grateful to our fore fathers for our native languages. Now I have full vocabulary for a new spoken language and I know it will be of some value to someone.... Examples as pronounced: Here = Ladere This is my home = Tladis is nyladone What is your name = Vladot is yaure vnne Dont touch the radio = Bant tauclad thlade vrbia Please if a new language is of any value to you...hit me up for a price. Nigeria can not just come and go and come and just go and come and kill us for nothing sake! |
