FamilyRe: I Slept On A Snake On My Bed by EkoErrands: 10:36pm On Jun 25, 2017
GlobalGisting:
I just am still feeling somehow. Let me start from the top.

I moved into a new flat in Benin City recently. But I left my things in my other apt in Lagos. So I am still putting the House in order. I only have my electronics in the parlour but the rooms have been fixed up. I also have paid the guys making the seats but they are yet to finish up so in d interim I am using the carton of my TV to lay in the parlour while I watch TV whenever I'm home.

So this morning, I woke up said my prayers and stepped into the parlour. Opened the front door briefly and locked it, went back to my bathroom and washed my mouth. Then came back into the parlour to watch morning news.

I layed on the carton as I always do, but I was feeling some movement beneath the foamed part where I rest my head, at first I felt it was the from adjusting but on a second thought I got up to arrange it.

As I took the white foam up to shift it a little higher, lo and behold, a snake crawled out from beneath my "pillow". I felt like disappearing. I screamed snake and my cousin who came in yesterday ran out of his room and gallantly killed the snake.

Usually I don't get afraid, I killed animals and even went hunting in the past, but this was a close call. I've been so full of thanks to God. "Though I "sleep" on snakes...I shall not be bitten.

My chair must be finished tomorrow wether they like it or not. I've been patient enough.

Make Una thank God for me oo
A snake inside my house? That specie must be myopic. Not just any type of myopic but VERY MYOPIC.

This is the desired result the northerners wanted from the infamous orchestrated threat on the ibos in the north. It is using the ibos in the north to force the ibos in the east to let go their agitation.
How many ibo's are in the north compared to Biafra? We dash them. They can remain there until Oct 1 and even if they are killed; nobody I repeat nobody will retaliate in the south east. We will make sure all the Hausa/Fulani's in the south east are safe. We won't attack them because we never gave them any quit order.

That's why I ended my conspiracy theory with "My opinion though"
Only objective minds read that part.

Obviously, you didn't...

Which was why I prescribed the objectivity test for you.
How's the test going so far? Any progress?

Hogwash! This has nothing to do with the VP. What then is going to happen if Biafrans leave the north and relocate back to the east?
The only mind game here is being played by the people shouting biafra or death and when the chance presents itself to get biafra they don't want to leave.
Objectivity is a choice; no one is born with it. I still believe you have a good chance to learn how to be objective in reasoning.

Let me help you, first you must ask yourself; what if I was born in the tribe of my enemy? Will I hate myself? The answer to this question is NO!

If you perform this test on yourself and be honest about it the whole time....it holds the key to your first objective reasoning in your entire life.

Get back to me so I know how it went....

I was about posting a similar conspiracy theory on my Facebook wall but changed my mind. I'm Igbo but an objective one. I see beyond the horizon; something only possible for an objective minded person.

First things first! Anything the North does, there must be an Agenda behind it. Also anything Muslims do always have an agenda behind it. Don't ever take Muslims actions or inactions as ordinary. You may not see the effect immediately but after many years even thousands of years. Utterances made by Mohammed still shapes nations till this day. The north never wants a Christian to rule over them...where do you think this is coming from? Mohammed's lips of course.

I knew 100% that the Kaduna declaration would fool 180 million people ....only a few like the op and myself and any other critical thinker will see through the smoke screen. The real target here is Osinbanjo. The Yoruba's still don't know just how much these guys don't want the VP to take over. They think its negotiable. Far from it. Very far! Am glad I'm not the only one thinking this way.

The last thing the North wants is for Biafra to go....so are u now saying a bunch of half educated youths will give Biafra their wish on a plater of gold. Think well!

By the time the real motive manifests ...the west will be caught unawares. My opinion though!

fowosteppy21:
Mine was when i was in secondary school, i was about to enter my elder sister's room, (she.was talking with my Dad) and i saw the tail of a snake. The head had already entered the room but i guess my Dad and sister were too engrossed in their discussion and their.chat and didn't notice. So I was doubting if it was a Rope or Snake so i had to kick the 'rope' to be sure. When i saw the thing move, i screamed on top of my voice and ran away, my scream startled everybody including the snake and the snake ran inside the room. My elder sister ran out of the room and my Dad found a stick in the backyard. He came bace to the room and didn't find the snake in the same spot(obviously) it took him twenty minutes to find the snake but he eventually killed it and burnt the body outside.

Share your experience too what were the most dangerous risk you.ever took
Wow! Almost same as mine but...

My dad was bed ridden... You know this 2 bedroom design where the 2 rooms are opposite each other connected by a short passage. It was early in the morning maybe like 6am or 6:30...so visibility was low in the passage.

From my dads sick bed in one of the rooms (door open) he noticed a black rope at the edge of the wall in the adjoining passage and he called me to check it out. I came close and bent down to look at this black rope; but since visibility was bad I couldn't see well.... Next thing I do is I pick this black rope up to my face to take a good look at it... Still couldn't understand if it was a rope or something else... So I dropped it back on the floor and went to get lantern.

My brother by the time I got back with the lamp, the rope hade disappeared. Can u believe this was how I knew it wasn't a rope but a snake.

I had to evacuate my father from the room and swung into search mode. I found it poured kerosene on it, it started loosing it's scales as it tried to evade arrest. I killed it sha.... Thank God the snake wasn't angry with me the time I picked it up with my bare hands.

I have an idea of a viable online web platform business and i currently work for an online magazine website . i have a good relationship with my boss who is the owner of the company. I am skeptical of what will happen if i inform him of my idea. I don't know if it will still be my idea or the company's. I am a final year student so i don't have the money but i have the skills to start up. Should i wait till i have the money or look for other ways to raise money instead of giving my idea out.
Abi. what relationship will exist between me and my boss if i tell him my idea? Is it partnership or employer/employee?
Please people with experience should enlighten me
My brother or nephew whichever u are.... No try am o! I have one patent and one copy right certificate and I can authoritatively tell you keep your idea to yourself. Instead of you to tell your boss kuku tell your girl friend.

The only thing your boss can give you in this life is money. Trust me no boss will ever give you partnership. In fact if you are thinking about your idea and your boss walks past... Stop thinking immediately.

Do you know bosses can be jealous? I have a former boss... I said former o! Whenever I'm with him I never ever mention the word masters not to talk of allowing my name to be in the same sentence with the word masters. Never!

Now let me give u a rule of thumb when it comes to ideas.

A family member who is capable of sponsoring your idea is a better option... It worked for me... Mine was a distant cousin sef.

Try and process your idea from its raw form to a stage your sponsor can easily see potential... This will help u get what u want from him quicker... Let me break this down. For example... Instead of using your mouth to narrate to your cousin or uncle how the online business works... You should design the online platform even if it's a mock simulation of the portal... It goes a long way trust me.

If I remember another tip and I have the time I go write... Good luck.

PropertiesNow The Rains Are Here... Generator Canopy by EkoErrands(op): 1:18pm On Mar 06, 2017
This is a generator canopy I designed and built last year, though my intention was to build them for sale; however the dollar exchange rate kept the price of materials sky rocketing every week.

At first I planned building them from scraps of Aluminium panels but because of scarcity of scraps I had to resort to new aluminium panels and that's where the dollar caught up with the business.

With scraps one could sell for N6000 and still make some profit. But using new panels straight from the market would push the price up to N10,000 and this was as at last year October or so.

There's no doubt it's a good product but the cost implication seems to be eroding it's purpose.

It's a light weight generator canopy that is user friendly and easy to mount and dismount.
It is less than 6kg and very strong (aluminium panels)
It doesn't rust and very portable.
It's a one size fits all with the integrated retractable support hanger underneath the panels. So it doesn't matter the dimension of your generator; the hanger can slide to elongate or retract to meet the size of your generator.

I don't think I'm interested in one piece production and installation. This kind of business is better if there is a peculiar need that will require producing them in dozens.

So if you have an idea or proposal or a business model that generate orders in dozens or more... then let's talk and see how we can work together on this...

See pictures below.
Thanks

presidency:
STATEMENT FROM THE ACTING PRESIDENT

PRESS RELEASE

MY PHONE CHAT WITH THE PRESIDENT TODAY, BY ACTING PRESIDENT

*Discussion on budget, protests and other issues

Acting President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, has assured the nation that President Muhammadu Buhari is hale and hearty and would return home as soon as he completes the necessary tests recommended by his doctors in the United Kingdom.

Prof. Osinbajo gave the assurance on Monday when State House correspondents approached him for a chat shortly after his telephone conversation with the president.

``Let me first say the President is hale and hearty. I spoke to him just this afternoon and we had a fairly long conversation, he is in good shape and very chatty,” the Acting President said.

He disclosed that the conversation was focused on the economy, the budget and goings on in the country.

The President was ``interested in knowing about the budget process and how far we had gone’’, especially with efforts aimed at taking the country out of recession.

``As you know we had a meeting today with the private sector on the economic recovery and growth plan and he was interested in knowing what was happening with that, with the economic recovery and growth plan and what we are doing with the private sector.”

``And of course I informed him of what we are seeing, the protest matches and some of what the feedback is, what people are saying about the economy and all of that,’’ Osinbajo added.

On when the President would return to Nigeria and his present health status, Osinbajo said ``just as he has said in his letter to the National Assembly, he needs to go through a cycle of tests and once the test results are seen, he will receive medical advice. We should expect him very soon.’’

On the health status of the President, the Acting President noted that at the appropriate time the President will be able to discuss it, especially as he is currently running tests.

According to Prof. Osinbajo, “before you determine your health status, you must be able to run the necessary tests, and do what doctors have asked to be done, and await the outcome of that before one can talk about any kind of health status.’’

The Acting President also dismissed insinuations that he was under pressure to resign.

``I was voted for by the people of this nation, myself and Mr President, and the people of this nation have never asked us to resign.

``So, I am absolutely under no pressure, and the truth is that there has been absolutely no pressure from any source.’’

PoliticsRe: Osinbajo Appoints Amaechi, ogbeh, ngige To Beat Down Food Prices by EkoErrands: 10:04am On Feb 02, 2017
mapet:
Yes food prices can come down with N145 fuel price. The fuel price is a function of the international market price and we're no longer subsidising it. Secondly, if we can increase the volume of food stuffs that actually get to market, simple economics of scale says prices will come down. This is what govt will probably look into. My tots are these

1. Can Govt build a mega storage - Cold rooms and collect all uncommitted poultry products from our local farmers. They have through CBN and BOA invested N23b in them anyways, and this will help enhance their investment. If farmers see a line of sight to off-take, they can increase their production capacity

2. Can the Silos project be accelerated, so that we target a period of doubling planting and harvesting. While we increase volumes of food to market, we also increase food reserves

3. Can govt invest in specialized haulage vehicles. These are giant trailers, almost twice the size of the a typical trailer. These haulage trucks will have but only one business - move goods to market around the year. Govt will then commit to bear this cost for a stipulated number of years. This cost will also be offset from the margins they saved by redesigning the process and taking out some unneeded middle men. If a major cost head (Transportation) is taken off, and volume + time to market is increased, food prices will definitely come down

4. Can Govt stimulate an upsurge of home-based end-producers and processors? For example, govt can buy lots of food processing machines and sell to interested citizens on a rent-to-own schemes. These citizens can use these machines in their homes. For example, Cassava processors to garri, bagging machines for rice, beans, millets etc. Imagine if we have 1 million people per state to do this on a part-time basis, how this will impact the market.

My take is, if we truly re-look the process and make some creative changes, prices will go down
My brother please don't commit murder... Let's give Nigeria just 1 small task of providing electricity for all her citizens... In 30 years time o! Not immediately. If she can, then we can start considering all those white elephant suggestions your took your time to paint up there.
PoliticsRe: Osinbajo Appoints Amaechi, ogbeh, ngige To Beat Down Food Prices by EkoErrands: 9:23pm On Feb 01, 2017
aminulive:
Below is a statement from the presidency;

Moved by the need to enhance affordability of food prices across country, the Buhari administration has constituted a Presidential Task Force to urgently consider measures that would ensure a steady flow of produce to the market and reverse recent price increases.

Giving the directive today at the Federal Executive Council meeting, Acting President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, expressed concern at some of the inflationary rates of food prices, noting that the Task Force will explore options to promote availability and affordability of food items to Nigerians.

According to him, the Task Force, which has seven days from today to report back to the Council will consider how to remove some of the cost-raising factors that come into play between the farms and the markets and therefore "bring relief to our people."

While there have been reports of bumper harvests in parts of the country, the prices of food stuff still end up rather high, while some of the produce even end up wasted due to a number of reasons preventing effective transportation delivery to the markets.

One of the focus areas of the Task Force, the Ag. President noted, would be to review the transportation and preservation processes, and see how government can intervene in those aspects to bring down food prices.

The Task Force, which would be meeting with the Ag. President in the discharge of its urgent assignment, will therefore draw out a practical plan and present same to the Council next week.

Members of the Task Force include the following:

Minister of Agriculture & Rural Development, Chief Audu Ogbeh
Minister of Finance, Mrs Kemi Adeosun
Minister of Industry, Trade & Development, Dr. Okey Enelamah
Minister of Transportation, Honorable Rotimi Amaechi
Minister for Water Resources, Engr. Suleiman
Minister of Labour & Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige

The Offices of the Chief of Staff to the President and the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs, would also be on the Task Force.

Y'all want food prices to come down? Really? With fuel at N145? Really? The truth about fuel price hike is that it takes a very long time to cause prices in food items to rise... And when they eventually rise months later, no fact finder will remember that someone doubled the price of petrol overnight. Mr Acting presido... Your dogs are on a wild goose chase... For 7 days that is...

Wait o! I read somewhere Senate wants to add N5 to fuel for road construction... Which type of road exactly? Is it the original road like mobolaji bank Anthony that was properly done or the type on Allen avenue that is resurfaced every 2 years?

Which spec of road are they planning to do with the N5...
