FamilyRe: My Husband Always Shouts At Me In Public by EkoErrands: 4:24am On Nov 15, 2016
thewife306:
Before anyone would ask if he wasn't like this before marriage. No he wasn't. He never cautioned me harshly in private not to talk of in public.
When we were newly married he shouts at me in his younger brother's presence. (Why will they give me respect)
He did it in the presence of our plumber cos I told him the prices of the items were expensive.
Then our househelp. He does it so often that I begin to wonder what point he was trying to prove. To the extent that the lady started losing respect for me and giving me attitude anytime I caution her. That he even told her not to do what I asked her to do.
Then the most recent was in church. He was struggling wit our toddler that he fell and I asked him to leave him. He just started shouting and everyone was looking.
I really am not happy. And unknown to him, this is reducing my love for him. Cos i cant love someone dat disrespects me. I use to love telling people how wonderful he is but these days I cant. It's affecting my relationship with him.
I'm considering embarrassing him back the next time he does it so he knows how it hurts cos he doesn't see anything wrong with it and never apologize. He says he doesn't like hiding his feelings. I ask "even when your words hurt your spouse".
I'm worried cos we might be travelling soon and if he embarrases me in front of family members i might lose my temper.
I need mature advises here pls. As i do not want to involve 3rd party.
Op... I am not married and I don't know what page this my advice will fall into but I suggest you read it carefully. Don't make the mistake to shout back at him. The Bible already cursed the woman saying the man shall rule over her... All this you are suffering is the extension of the punishment for eating the forbidden fruit in the garden of Eden. And there is a way around it.

Look for an occasion or event that both of you are supposed to attend together... I mean an outing that is so important that both of you are supposed to even wear the same clothing material. Ehen then change your mind at the last minute and tell him that you are afraid you won't be going to the event for fear that he will shout at you in public AGAIN. And the embarrassment is usually too much for you to bear and you can't imagine yourself shouting back at him in public. Then add... "If someone else were to embarrass him in your presence you would devour such a person with your bare hands so why should you now shout back at him.

My sister continue to love and respect your man but no follow am go any where again... Not even church. When time reach just dress junior and put him in the front sit of the car and tell both of them bye bye. That's the person he should be shouting at whenever he wants to practice. It will even be good for the boys future (I'm assuming y'all have a son).

By doing this you would have curtailed his shouting to the house only... And madam you will agree with me that is no longer public but private shouting... Just like the shout you self dey shout when he gives it to you right in the other room... grin

Going by that.. If him shout for you for parlour... You self too shout for him at night in the other room cool No Love Lost...

Peace!

I live in Lagos..and its a clean deal..I gave him money to procure some things and he embezzled it
I knew you made a contractual blunder... My brother the only person you give money to procure something should be your wife. Any other Mara you want to procure something for you should be given an LPO or contract letter stating the amount of initial mobilization and signed "collected by me" with date.

Even date of delivery should be stated. If it comes 1 second late you have the right to revoke the procurement and ask for a refund.

Business is a war front... Bro wake up!

Hello house, a client has been owing me about 600,000 naira nearly 2 years and he's now threatening to report me to the police for disturbing him when I send him reminders.. Please lawyers and learned ones in the house, how do I approach this matter.. Efcc? . ICPC? Police. I need my money and I have proofs that he's owing me.
My brother... There is no doubt he is owing you... In fact unlike me I do believe he is owing you. But if your debtor starts threatening you... Just know that he has discovered a legal loop hole in your initial agreement and he is willing to use it against you in any theater of engagement having competent jurisdiction on such matter.

So check am well it's either you don't have any document with his signature on it or no document bearing the stipulated amount or balance signed by him. There are a lot more instances of loop holes...

As for me, I make it a point of duty to write my debtors every few months asking for my payment and I always make sure they acknowledge a copy of all my letters... In a year I make them acknowledge up to 2 or 3 letters for me. And I will now go and file all of them behind the original contract award letter.

My dear in court... The letters I will present go fit reach 10...if you count am well ;and all of them carry the man signature "Original copy received" with date.

Even when I wrote my bank to cancel a cheque I still collect acknowledgement copy from a whole bank... A whole bank. As if I knew... The crook still went ahead to present my cheque. I dey for mechanic when I receive debit... I just smile.

The problem be say I no want carry a whole bank go do court case so I just calmly went to the branch and made them reverse it. They knew the wahala that can emanate from such error... You needed to see how they we're sweating and clicking their computer trying to reverse the thing before the money go far... ;DD

So what am saying is you have made a contractual blunder somewhere... Trust me.

MalikTheCynical:
I am suffering. I am suffering greatly.

NOTE: This will be REALLY LONG. I'm just doing this for the sake of catharsis. I am in turmoil
NOTE AGAIN: I am not a stranger to heartbreaks, this one just caught me unawares.

I will call her Adaeze. We got chatting over whatsapp early August last year after her brother, who is my online friend gave me her number. By the following month and against my better judgment, I was in a relationship with a girl in PH while I was(still is) at Ilorin. I wasn't going to take her serious because of the insane distance especially considering the fact that we're both students, I just wanted to have an experience of puppy love too 'cause I don't do love. Just FWB.
She fell in love with me 'cause of my humour and intellect and I fell in love with her(much later than she did) because of her seemingly unblemished sweetness and innocence.
I fell in love more and more. Up to the point that I started cutting off some of my real life biitches cause I wanted to get something as close to faithfulness to her as possible.
We had only one problem: Adaeze behaves like a child; with all that entails, of course. She would get embarrassed and quickly try to change topics whenever I try to get us talking about any sex-related activity. She seemed to so totally abhor any notion of sex that I complained to a friend. Naturally, I assumed she's a virgin. She led me on. I'd made many mention to her virginity when talking about something else and she'd always seemed cool.
My love for her got raised to the power of a gazillion when she told me we had to see this September to celebrate our year of being in a relationship. Being the man, I ordinarily should set the precedence by visiting her first what with these news of cyber sexual predators and what not but when I made her realise that my coming over would be very impractical, she decided she'd be coming instead!
To come see a guy she'd never met before. A guy with whom she's shared at best, a kiss emoji with! I was impressed. She was always the one who calls the more often and shii but mehn, this was the real deal. My affection for her danced dangerously around the threshold of reverence.
Meanwhile, I'd noticed that lately, in the past 2-3 weeks, actually, she's actually said she's Hot on more than 2 occasions and she seemed generally receptive of my romantic/sexual innuendos. I just hung it on maturity. She wasn't going to be so puritanical forever, I rationalised. I was nonetheless happy with this new development; the last knot had been unraveled. And just in time for her visit too. Given the tone of our recent chats, that we'd hit sheets seem a given.
In spite of my disinterest in virgins and my motto that only hypocrites look for virgins to marry(and yeah, I'd already visualised marriage with her...I'd actually couldn't wait to marry her even though I'd always wanted to marry late) while they themselves enjoy a liberal sexual life.
Enough of the irrelevancies sha.

I went a-strolling yesterday and of course, I wass chatting to my princess. We were chatting about something and just to make it official, I asked if she was a virgin. She remarked that I'd never asked her this question before and that why was I asking now. I told her I just assumed it's a given and that I just wanted to be sure. She said I should wait and find out when she finally comes to visit. I was puzzled but hey, this is Adaeze, right? She couldn't be any more than a blushing maiden, yes?
Later in the evening, my cousins who came to visit(I stay in lag but school at Ilorin) were making light jest of me; that but for the fact that I get laid and I got game, they'd have seriously quarreled me over Adaeze. That how could I be in an online shii? I just laughed it off. They said maybe she's rich that's why she'd come over to Ilorin. I told them her parents are cops(they thought it was one). They had a field day snickering and taunting me. When they realised that both of her parents are actually cops and that she stays in a barrack, they almost ganged up on me. They assured me that when she comes, I was gon' call them I swam in a sea(meaning she a hoe cause she too wide). I laughed it off.
But there was something oddly disquieting about their sureness.
That night, last night. I asked Adaeze for a heart to heart. I asked her to tell me the truth if she was a virgin or not.

My brothers and sisters, she dropped the first bombshell o. She isn't! I was petrified!
How?!! I knew she'd told me she'd dated twice before me: the first time when she was 15 and then, when she was 17.
I asked her who she lost it to and she said the second person. I started picking holes, inconsistencies in her narrative. This was when, my brothers and sisters, I took delivery of the second bombshell: this time, it came in the form of a Voice-note. She was sobbing and telling me about how she had a family friend who used to come around often back then. How he made love to her(as if it was a unilateral decision) when no one was around. How she called it off and threatened to expose him to her mom when she realised what she was doing was wrong but that she knew deep down that she wouldn't tell on him afterall. Cause she was as guilty. How she was oh-so-sorry for lying to me and why she had to come clean when she realised that she couldn't live with lying to me.
I went cold.
I went numb.
I asked her who else and she said no one else. I coerced and coaxed her to reveal more and she said there was one more guy she had while she was still with her 2nd boyfriend.
Mehn, I was blown off.
Na Adaeze dey reel off body count so?
I was(still am) heartbroken, to put it mildly.

I gave her the necessary assurances that I wouldn't leave her for what's already done and that I just need her loyalty from now onwards.

What never ceases to amaze me is how she got away with these secrets for so long. I mean, one of my greatest gifts is that of my perception. I am next to clairvoyant. How the heck did I miss this whaler?

I am suffering now. This is the wrongest time to be me.
If I had told you to buy this book N500 ...you would have been doing shakara. Now see ya life?

Nigerian guys are the same I want to believe... But hey when a guy sleeps with different girls... He earns respect from the "society" . But when a girl does the same... Her worth tends to diminish in the society.

My good people I am in a bit of a situation here and would like to hear from the community. I have lived the last few years in the UK and can say I am in a reasonably "settled" place in my life except for one thing: I don't have a wife and I am getting old!.

For the last few years, going by people's advice I thought it was best to cultivate a relationship here with someone here in the UK, learn about them and settle.

It has not worked out for me. Maybe its my luck, it has not quite worked with me with the ladies over here. I always end up with someone diametrically opposite to my goals and aspirations. The idea of marrying an Oyibo is even worse - things just did not work out in that direction either.

To compound the problem, I my job does not allow me much of a social life. I just cant make it happen without help.

On a friend's advice, I have been invited to come back home to naija and see how things can work out. I have therefore taken a months leave and am headed home for the next 1 month. Our plan is to visit a few good families and places to see if anything can materialise from that.

My people any advice on this? If you were in my shoes, how will you conduct this affair. What will you look out for. What will you avoid.
Pls if the girls there didn't cheat on you kuku marry them...and endure their luggage.the ones here will cheat on you and still give you luggage to carry. All of them except those that will not bash me for saying this secret of theirs are olosho.

I'm inside one 5yr relationship and It appears it has been an olosho relationship all along.
PoliticsI Feel Like Crying... Illiterates Are At The Helm. by EkoErrands(op): 7:51pm On Oct 01, 2016
By Oluseun Onigbinde

The recession in Nigeria, announced in July by finance minister Kemi Adeosun and confirmed when the National Bureau of Statistics subsequently published figures showing a 2.06% dip in economic growth, is indicative of the country’s vulnerability to the vagaries of oil.

When oil prices started to tumble in mid-2014, the government – its sights set on the following year’s elections – did not take steps to mitigate the economic impact. By early 2015, Brent crude oil was trading at $53 (£41) a barrel and growth was slipping fast.

The situation was compounded when Muhammadu Buhari, who won the presidential race after campaigning on the delivery of a robust economy, failed to act with the required speed. The early stages of his administration were fraught with delay in appointing ministers, stagnating public contracts and an inconsistent approach to the exchange rate that worsened the crisis, tipping the economy into recession.

The Nigerian government has sought solutions, but the recession has been further compounded by rising inflation that hit 17.6% in August. The inflationary spiral was triggered by the high cost of energy prices following the removal of state subsidies, combined with an alarmingly swift depreciation in local currency. Nigeria’s currency has lost 114% of its value in a year and there are signs that this trend might continue, raising local prices in a nation dependent on imports.

The government is considering raising $1bn in the eurobond market. However, the challenge lies in the cost of borrowing after ratings agency Standard & Poor’sdowngraded Nigeria’s credit rating from B+ to B, five steps below investment grade.

Another possibility being mooted by the government, as it looks to shore up itsforeign reserves to $24.7bn and boost foreign exchange liquidity to forestall the depreciation of the naira, is the sale of its national assets. The Nigerian industrialist Aliko Dangote, Africa’s richest man, recently proffered this solution, and the senate president, governors and central bank have all indicated agreement. The tone taken by the government is that state assets – including government shares in oil joint ventures, the Africa Finance Corporation, the Nigerian Liquefied Natural Gas Company and major airports – will be sold to shore up its foreign exchange base.

Nigeria has benefited from the good fortune of NLNG, the largest tax-paying entity in west Africa, which has turned over $33bn to the government in the past 16 years. However, the country has persistently underfunded its share in joint ventures with international oil companies. As of May 2016, the annual funding gap stood at roughly $4.28bn. While the sale of Nigeria’s share in the joint ventures is a positive step, there has to be deeper interrogation of selling NLNG, which has been valued at $16bn and is expected to return at least $8bn to the Nigerian government.

There is the option of joining the International Monetary Fund programme, but the government – perhaps scarred by the memory of the punitive cuts to public efficiency that accompanied structural adjustment programmes in the 1980s – appears uninterested.

While the country is mulling over the sale of national assets, it has still not resolved the problems that are hampering the private sector. The Central Bank of Nigeria’s rate-setting committee maintained baseline interest rates at 14%, triggering commercial lending rates of up to 28%. Subsequently, the finance ministry supported a drop in interest rates to catalyse economic activity, contradicting the CBN and highlighting a lack of harmony on monetary and fiscal policy that – at a time when national debt has risen by 4.71tn naira inside a year – is likely to compound the uncertain nature of the government’s policy response.

In the end, Nigeria might have to put its assets up for sale, but analysts will remain concerned that it is a short-term fix for a country that needs new engines of growth for its exports. Is it not too hasty to sell national assets built up over years, such as NLNG, in response to a recession that has spanned just two quarters? In a distressed energy market – and with the outlook bleak for intensive energy markets – will these assets be sold at the right value?

As lead partner of BudgIT, an organisation that promotes transparent public resources, I am worried about the process and particularly concerned that national assets might be sold to cronies who will seek government bailouts to put them in shape. The sale of power plants in Nigeria, which triggered a round of bailout funds by the central bank, is an obvious example of the potential pitfalls.

Nigeria might seem to be on track with diversification, but the political risks posed by the 2019 election are obvious. Even if the reserves get a boost, good plans can be undone by a change of government. For Nigeria to continue selling public assets as a short-term fix to a structural problem seems deeply introspective. The bleeding might be delayed but, if the portfolio of national exports is not expanded beyond oil, it will be back to the drawing board. National assets should only be sold as part of a long-term plan that is strictly followed through.

But it's well
You have a point... For the benefit of those trying to start... Pls start from create space before uploading to Amazon or select. The cover designs in create space are far more professional than that of Amazon.

Because of this discovery I have published the same book twice on kdp select but with different covers. One looking more professional than the other.

Even this one that is causing draging dragging now... I will still use create space to design a more professional cover which I will use on Amazon. It's unfortunate I will now have 1 book with 2 different covers on Amazon. I hope there is an advantage and no penalty.

So far no penalty... In fact both are causing bleeps on the report graphs at the same time.

No one is buying it. since I released it, it has not sold a copy. But I didnt give up. Now I sell at least 3-5 books daily, many times I sell up to 10. but the barest minimum is 3. so go ahead and write more.

My advise is that you should go ahead and write more books. I would recommend the non fiction niche. Any book that solves people's problems are okay

What you saw was what exactly happened.
My story, after a week of publishing my book at $3 ...I haven't had any sales at all. Even the bleep I saw on the graph before the release date just went up and came back to zero. Meaning the person returned the book. So no sales and no money.

OK now I have changed my pricing from 70% royalty to 35% royalty today... Just to see if the 65% will be attractive to Amazon to showcase my book more... I'm still watching events. I'm working on createspace now.

I didn't want to rush into createspace since because I was still proof reading for minor errors and ommisions and I'm glad I didn't rush to creatspace.

I even did a paid promotion on Amazon... That only brought about 6 clicks costing me $0.90 dollars before I terminated the promotion.

So far no sales and I don't know what I'm doing wrongly.
