Some people are dumb sha You don't need to grow rice to mill it. Any more than you need to grow raw cocoa to produce chocolate...... |
Sambo is an id1ot Is useless talk alone like his what will solve deep problems like lack of power ![]() These guys are too sentimental. Or stvpid. Or both. |
It honestly doesn't matter either way. There is nothing wrong with buying raw products from elsewhere and making refined products from it. Hell, this is what the rest of the world has done to Africa for hundreds of years...and they've made a handsome profit doing so ![]() The purpose of a factory is to turn inputs into outputs. Presumably one wants to source those inputs as cheaply as possible. Sometimes the cheapest input is local, other times it is not.. Either way, doesn't matter |
It doesn't really matter whether the rice is grown in Nigeria or not. |
Nigerian government...full of lazy whiners and complainers. |
Lol. And who is buying these so-called substandard goods? If many Nigerians are not happily buying them, there won't be any market. Rather than complaining, improve electricity in the country so that there will be more alternatives. |
delomos: It assumes that more code in the world is an inherently desirable thing. In my thirty year career as a programmer, I have found this … not to be the case. Should you learn to write code? No, I can't get behind that. You should be learning to write as little code as possible. Ideally none.I agree with this. Solving problems should be the goal, not writing code. |
Eh. How can you blindly throw your support behind words that were at best tasteless, and probably dangerous and idiotic? I strongly disagree with the ACNs position on this. In any case, wetin concern them about a dispute between CPC and PDP? |
This is the sort of thing I would have hoped my state would take initiative on. Alas..... |
This is because we have identified power as very critical to Nigeria’s Industrial Revolution Plan.Understatement of the decade, lol. |
Well said. |
Computing is really important. As for the way forward in Nigeria..a difficult question. |
Heh. I like you guys. And no sarcasm is intended here, this type of stuff genuinely warms my heart. |
At a minimum, if you are going to post pictures of buildings in Ibadan built in the 40s, then let us also see pictures from your area of buildings from the 1940s.. |
Eh. Old cities certainly have parts which will look older than new cities. I wonder why people always post pictures of places built in the 40s, 50s and earlier rather then say Bodija. |
I'd rather follow successful models rather than anti-European models. The objective is winning the game, not necessarily doing it with an entirely unique, indigenous strategy. Let's be more pragmatic...take whatever works and use it. |
I think the best thing is to just work to see the country split apart. I'm not sure that working within the Nigerian political system will lead to good results. The entire thing needs to be destroyed and split into pieces. |
He may have suffered in the past, but had been pretty successful as an actor |
Interesting |
Anything a man can do, a woman can do better. You will underestimate women and their capacity for corruption at your own peril ![]() |
^^^What ever rocks your world guy!!!! |

Indeed. People want the very best things in life...for free ![]() |
afam4eva: Not when Seun is sharing money accrueing from ads with Google. Linda Ikeji gets direct advertisement from companies but Seun uses a 3rd party(Google). Though i still think Seun makes more money for now but that may change in the future if Seun does not leverage on the advantage Nairaland has over other Nigerian states due to it's traffic.Actually, you and the OP might be right. I visited her site just now and am seeing local, directly placed advertisements. Local advertising might pay more money? I don't know what the figures look like exactly. Hrm, incidentally, she looks kind of cute: |
egift: what a waste of spermatozoa.lmao ![]() Too bad his mother didn't end up swallowing him |
If: a) seun is getting a lot more traffic than her b) they both make most of their money from advertising then it follows that Seun is making more money than her. Unless for whatever reason her viewers clicked ads more frequently, or her ad rates were somehow higher. |
Meh. If it is Fashola/somebody else, I support the alliance. If it is northerner/somebody else, I have zero interest. |
What is so bad about this? N2000 is not even $20. I don't think that introducing a $20 note would be considered revolutionary ![]() |
lmao |

Jonathan Targets 3.5m Jobs from Agric Sector by 2015 (ThisDay, May 1, 2012) President Goodluck Jonathan has said his administration is targeting about 3.5 million jobs from the agricultural sector by 2015, out of which 1.3 million will be from cassava processing. lmao ![]() Why not 100 million |
Wow. Impressive. This guy is a muthafuckin boss. Kudos to him. |
