Car TalkRe: Nigerians Only Japanese Vehicles Mentality Syndrome by ektbear: 12:52pm On Jan 11, 2013
I like Japanese cars because they are:

1) Reliable
2) Inexpensive

European cars tend to be expensive.

American cars tend to be unreliable.

Korean cars...so Hyundai and Kia? I have no beef with them, but feel more comfortable with Honda and Toyota.

Rotational democracy is just...I dunno.

So what is OBJs vision of democracy? 8 years for Ogun West, then 8 years for another zone, then 8 years for another?

That is not how it is supposed to work...you are supposed to make the political unit small enough so that nobody cares where the man governing is from.

HealthRe: Is There Such A Thing As An Early Life Crisis? by ektbear: 6:35pm On Jan 09, 2013
totalbaby: So what did you do?
I got depressed, fat, and generally unhappy with the direction of my life.

Then eventually I started to stop doing things to make other people happy, and live more for myself.

I also make sure to spend as little time home as possible.

It is more difficult to wallow in self-pity or depression if you are out meeting new people or engaging in social activities.

I personally think that this is a stupid policy by Jehovah's Witnesses.

However, if she made that decision by herself, nobody can fault her. Isn't by force.

Seun, you really seem to lack common sense. I don't know why you like throwing people under the bus like this.

Even before this most recent ill-advised commentary of yours, weren't you complaining about some supermod posting a feature to the front page...yet in the same post you admitted that the reason the "feature" existed was due to a mistake of your own?

You should spend more time thinking about why your behavior is a bad idea.

RomanceRe: How Does It Feel To Be Dating Someone Who Is Intellectually Re-tarded? by ektbear: 6:38am On Jan 05, 2013
Dunno why you make it seem as if it is only women who are like this.

Anyways, intellect isn't everything. Last girl I dated wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed, but I liked her a lot, and she made me quite happy.
RomanceRe: Why Do Girls Grow So Fast And Old Than Guys? by ektbear: 6:35am On Jan 05, 2013
Hormones, genes, etc.

Also, men tend to look younger because they dont have to dolly up like women do, not so much extensions, makeup, etc.

They dont do everything together like women ie for example, men who do their hair, still wont need makeup, and vice versa. Whereas women, will do everything together and at once- combine the hair extensions, use makeup ( lots of it), take care of kids, look for husband where applicable, wear high heels, etc etc.

Not saying these are bad, but explaining why it could contribute to faster aging.
This seems pretty accurate.
