@Princek12: I guess we will agree to disagree. |
Has GEJ said definitively that he won't run for a 2nd term? |
Princek12:You are hanging around the wrong type of naija girls if these are the ones you are meeting, lol. Don't get me wrong, I like AA chicks (my current gf is AA), Carribean women, other African women too. But anybody claiming that one is better than the other probably lacks the game to get top-of-the-shelf naija chicks anyway. . . No offense, but you are proly the type of dude that goes to a naija party in which there are PLENTY of beautiful women there dancing, is too scared to go approach them and instead wants to claim that they are all ugly, or something |
Very interesting. Hmm. |
So if private security is not allowed to cast guns, effectively the banks will be n.a.ked. |
@Tippy-Top: As the article indicates, this is foreign, private investors building the railways. If you think a private investor is likely to spend $1 billion on a project that will go nowhere. . . On the other hand, if it is the same government spending that $1 billion, I agree the likelihood of it failing is high. |
Kobojunkie:Interesting, I didn't know that. Any reason why it isn't used heavily? |
Bosh injured his knee . . . ![]() Gonna stop watching basketball for a few days. Why is Bosh so injury prone? Argggh |
Lol ![]() |
Anyway, my admiration and respect for Awo has increased. I didn't think that this was possible, but somehow I love him more. A true patriot. And what is up with Zik and his dislike for written agreements? Seems very shady, somehow. . . |
@PhysicsQED: So you are telling me that Zik didn't have the political capital to pick up say 20 or 30% of the Igbo vote and add that to a ticket in which he is the headliner with Awo as VP? Did Zik really have that little influence amongst Igbos? If so, I will accept it. Though I find it very, very surprising. But if not? Then it seems a golden opportunity wasted. |
GEJ turned water into wine, as well. GEJ died for our sins. Vote for GEJ! |
oyinbo85:Yoruba vs. Igbo online battles are pretty hilarious, I agree. But they are even more fun to participate in ![]() as for my boy i think that if i leave him now i would just regret it all through. i wont agree to marry him though yet, until i get rid of my hesitations. i dont know why but i believe that he really wants to make things right now so lets see how it goes, will try to show him i trust him and think good of him cause me telling him hes a cheater and lier will only make easier for him to be one since i already think so.Yeah, just shine your eyes well well! Don't let yourself be made a fool. @eku_bearYeah. But if a woman works hard at it, she can still be amazing after kids/older. But women who are lazy, spend all their time stuffing their faces with cake, don't put in time at the gym? Of course they will turn fat. Just don't let that be you! Hire a personal training if you have to. 2. of nigerians! cause they seem so concerned about looks. even my boyfriend seems to be happy when we are going out and he can show me to his friends as if i was his trophy,Yes o! Nothing more fun than having a beautiful woman on your arm and having your friends and random onlookers goggle in envy. But I don't think this is just Nigerians, all guys are like this. . . After all, which guys like showing off their ugly girlfriends to people? If you have an ugly girlfriend, you make up excuses to stay at home and not be seen with her ![]() |
A functioning Lagos->Abuja railway (or even just a fast road connecting the cities!) would be a godsend. |
excanny:You missed the big "but" there. The course of action I'm suggesting is contingent on the army leaving or being neutral. While it is there and biased, then they (Berom and migrants from the South) are constrained. Unless you want to directly confront the Nigerian army, something I'm not sure is advisable. . . |
@fstranger: I think Igbo if they collaborated with Berom could easily whip the Hausa there. Problem is, the Hausa have the army to protect them. |
Oh, and to Oyinbo85. . . don't be so insecure. If you take care of your body you can still look good until 40, 45ish. Just don't overeat and balloon, spend lots of free time at the gym and eating salads, and you'll be OK. And yes, naija dudes can be faithful to white girls. I dated a white girl for a long time and never cheated on her. We ended up breaking it off due to compatibility, not me cheating. And FWIW, I'm Yoruba too. |
Haba! Lol, how did this thread degenerate so quickly? Less tribalism plz (that is for the politics section!) more love! |
Isn't like I specifically go hunting for akata. You go looking for pretty girls and just find out the girl is naija/salone/akata/caribbean/etc. Nothing more, nothing less. |
My legs aren't skinny, but my ankles and calves are small. Ankles I cannot do anything about, but calves don't get any bigger no matter how much time I put in on the calf raise machine ![]() |
@Akanbi_Edu: If you can explain to me why Tinubu is justified in installing his relatives in office, then I'll be at peace. If he was not doing this one thing, I could give him the benefit of the doubt. But to me, this seems a tremendous evil. You cannot be leader of the Yoruba people and also at the same time fulfilling your own personal objectives. You can pick one or the other, but not do both. |
So nobody disagrees with what @ndu_chucks laid out? If those are the facts, then how is Zik not an absolute jackass? Not trying to be disrespectful, but what he did seems absolutely selfish, shortsighted, and spiteful. |
@Akanbi_Edu: Be open minded. Look at some of the things Tinubu is doing. You know that they are wrong. We cannot keep silent and pretend that everything is OK. |
OP is mostly correct. ACN is no different from the PDP, and in some ways worse. Even Fashola who is doing well, they are trying to frustrate him. I've not given up on my governor (Fayemi) yet though. I'm deeply concerned by the lack of internal democracy in Ekiti State but willing to give him more time to amend the situation. And I don't need to talk further about Tinubu's evil agenda; OP has gone through everything. |
jason123:Eh, this I wonder about. The private investors first want to see success in Lagos before replicating elsewhere. BTW, is it me, or is this dude mentioned somewhat of a badass? 34 years old, MBA from HBS, and from LinkedIn looks like he was a VP at CitiBank for some time, then a stint at McKinsey. Not a bad set of accomplishments at that age. A bit unfortunate that Nigerians cannot be involved in the construction work, and instead it is given to Chinese. Would be nice if we could be more competitive. . . |
^--- ![]() Well, first of all, Nigerian women, the type that consent to polygamy are not the sort who will make anything more than pittances. I'd much rather have one wife pulling in $200k+/year from her medical practice than 5 uneducated housewives who drain away my funds. Second, I dunno how my reluctance to deal with more than one woman suggests that I am gay. As I said before, women are complicated enough as is. . . it would drain away all my energy having to deal with more than one. And I say this as I guy who has several sisters. @Akhenaten: If you can pull it off, more power to you man! I just want to live a long life and enjoy my life fully. Not sure the benefits of multiple wives outweighs the costs. . . |
@fstranger, bro, relax. Taking things a bit too far. |
These polygamists, I dunno how they cope. I can barely handle one woman as is ![]() |
I badly want to get a t-shirt with "I DEY LAUGH" inscribed on the front of it ![]() |
Long story short, no. |
Beaf = fear monger. |
@Jenifa_: Trying to finish up grad school, yes. |
