@tunlex01 and @Softkey I know this is gone already, just want to add my 1 cent. IELTS general is accepted for PR and I know so many people that used it. The issue is some assessing bodies only accept IELTS Academic for their assessment, e.g CPA, IPA, but most don't even need IELTS for assessment, so if you are not assessing with CPA, IPA, you can use any IELTS you have as DHA accepts both. Softkey: You need to always read well and digest before commenting not just trying to find faults. Normally I don’t dwell much on stuffs like this but I identified your type as one who doesn’t give out information when people required one even though you claimed to be well informed but always feed on others comments to look for a glitch without digesting. I’m off on this.
Happy new year in advance to you brother, I would still like to link up and enjoy the new year celebration with you. All bills on you |

Hi Nikky, I am not a student, but I know a few here and I don't think that is an issue. Majority of Intl students change their course when they land to do a course that can get them PR which you might likely do too if your course isn't on the PR list. hence, you will get another CoE, so number of years doesn't matter, when it is about time for your visa to expire, you will apply for visa extension which is what most of them do. So no need to be worried, enjoy your Christmas and celebrate your visa, the good thing is you are in . You can message me directly if you have other questions, I am hardly here. Also anyone coming to Adelaide can message me. Nikky121: Good day everyone, thank you for all the great contributions made on this platform. I have been a beneficiary of the information shared on this platform.
To the good news, I got my study visa grant for a 1 year course in Sydney. I was excited by the grant but the 1 year hasn’t really made me celebrate the good news.
How it happened: initially I got an admission for a 2 year course but due to the delay in visa grant, my admission was deferred to February. Subsequently, the school issued me a new COE which happened to be for 1 year. I made a mistake of not confirming as it didn’t occur to me there could be a change in the number of years of the course. I didn’t notice until my Visa grant came through.
To my issue: what are the possibilities around changing my course to get 2 years once I land in Aussie?
Are there other possible solutions you can think of?
Please I need the help of those who may have gone through this in the past or knows someone who had this same issue. Or is there someone currently in this same dilemma?
All input will be greatly appreciated, thank you. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year in Advance. |

Single person. You have to disturb them, else you might not get any response for a week. I don't think there is a timeframe to pay after the quote, but note that if you don't pay in time, you might lose your spot. babylove01: Please is this quote for single person?? How long did it take for them to get back to you? How long are u expected to pay after the quote is given? Sorry for the questions just putting things in place before I contact them. Thanks

Thanks for your input. They got back to me on Friday with the same 418k quote. What did you use as evidence of payment since you did mobile transfer. Omooloriredade: You should expect to get a response this coming week. In my own case, they responded after a week confirming my details and my intended travel date. A quote was then sent with their account details included. All these happened within a day. I didn't expect it was going to be that fast because they told me they would have to route my request through their Ghanian office. Anyway, I couldn't pay immediately ( that was about 2 days to Christmas. Paid over the holiday and called them after Christmas and they promised to revert. Someone later informed me they were on holiday and won't be resuming until the 8th of January.

TRed: My observations going through their websites are that these two(Queensland and Tasmania) requires a valid job offer on the 190 visa for overseas application. The occupation is only available for overseas application on the 489 visa of Tasmania and South Australia without job offer.
Please house, is there any info on nsw stream 2 for this year as I am planning to nominate ict project manager for Victoria and NSW on stream 2. @trastar you see why I went with 489. |

trastar: Wow. Really? @eladua, why didn't you apply for Qsld 190 then? I think it was only Tasmania and SA that was sponsoring it when I applied. And it was on 190 in SA, they changed it the week before I applied, so I had the choice of 489 in SA or 190 in Tasmania. |

THOP: I don't really understand your point. Have they stopped EOR on listening? But I read on this platform that it's possible to remark the listening and one could be lucky to get an upgrade. Please educate me more. Thanks. I am sorry for the misleading information, it is because I have never seen anyone get an upgrade on listening after remarking. So it is possible but the possibility is low I guess. |

Don't get me wrong o, I did not mean that. I said that based on the context of your question. If you are assessing an occupation that requires a degree and they expect you to have work experience and you don't, that is automatic negative outcome. But that occupation we were talking about requires a diploma degree and you have a Bsc from UI, so I said you are overqualified already and they won't bother to assess your work experience since you would have met the requirement with your degree, however, if you have any experience at all, pls include it in your application even if it is 6 months or NYSC experience that is in that line. That was why I advised you check the TRA sites for what you need. AUD$1,000 no be beans o.
Don't play with your money. |

stepo707: Ok bro.i will get all requirements before proceeding. Which contacts so I give them for my school.my Hods contact or admin in school.am talking about the place in form where education qualification is for the contacts. I think I gave them the registrar's contact. But don't worry they have a way of contacting the school. I would not have known they contacted the school if not that the school requested I pay for the transcript verification, so I saw the mails exchange between the registrar and TRA case officer. |

stepo707: My fmr supervisor in my fmr organization has moved.can I still send the form for him to sign or I should just send it to the HR unit(am very good friends with HR manager) Am referring to the employer template form for TRA assessment. Thanks If you have a good relationship with the HR, then let the HR do it but don't forget to draft your job duties to align with what is required of that occupation. And really with your bsc, TRA won't dwell much on your work experience because you are more like overqualified for the occupation you are going for, so your education is the most important thing. They did not even contact my employer at all but they called the school and verified my transcript. |

stepo707: Huge sigh of relief. They gaveexample such as ministry of education... Wonder who has assessed with TRA here. Thanks trastar.Always helping out.Hope to be a guru also so I can help others out. Also can one fill an EOI before TRS is done with the assessment outcome? I think trastar has answered you already. Your university is the authority and you need to give each of your employers the employer template form and also support it with at least 3 months pay slip for each year. Take your time to read all their requirements so you don't make any mistake, TRA won't ask you for further information before making their decision o. |

In addition to that I am suspecting the company does not have a presence online, so it is not easy to verify and he is probably claiming like 10 or 15 points from work experience. I also think they don't joke with 189, 190 or 489 won't likely take that long. ogbevireo: so I guess when they checked the company reg. on CAC's site they didn't see it and so decided to do a thorough check. right? |

I want to know if Nigerians really get these Skilled migration visas 189,489,190 if they meet up with necessary requirement like successful assessment from assessing bodies,English test and employment because i dont know anyone who has gotten a skilled migration visa. Some people living in Australia already are saying the best way to come to Australia is through student visas and i am wondering why a qualified person will be denied a skilled migration visa after meeting up with the requirements.
Please i need answers from those who know pretty much about this. |
