dopeJemi:I no know am. I have a way of breaking transfer news that turn out to be true at the end. Memphis, Darmian, Snederline, Martial, and may be this one go join the list. Dayo should know him. |
Hakan Calhanoglu to Manchester United for £26.5m E be like say we go see twist(s) today. |
ROONEY ASKED ME WHO MARTIAL WAS - SCHNEIDERLIN "To be honest, yesterday [Sunday] on the plane, Wayne Rooney came to speak to me and asked me who Martial was, because the English press had started to speak," Schneiderlin told reporters at France's training base at Clairefontaine. "I told him he's a great player with great potential, who has played some good matches with Monaco last season and the the beginning of this. "I told him he is technical and powerful. A little like Therry Henry, even if it's the press who are making that comparison." The deal to take Martial to United will make him the most expensive teenager in the history of football, and Schneiderlin is keen to ensure that the 19-year-old does not feel the weight of his price tag when he arrives at Old Trafford. "The size of the fee? If he wants my advice, it is to ignore it," the former Southampton man added. "The media will talk a lot and will expect him to score many goals. But he must remember his qualities and play like he knows how. He can't be paralysed by it. I think everything will go well." http://m.goal.com/s/en/news/11/transfer-zone/2015/09/01/14940992/rooney-asked-me-who-martial-was-schneiderlin?ICID=HP_BN_2&utm_referrer=http%3A%2F%2Fm.facebook.com |
codedguy1:That would depend on the performance of Navas in Madrid. |
It looks to me now, Gaal knew what he has been doing all these while. He never minced his words about the number of signings left - only two more signings, an attacking player and a goalkeeper. All that talk about Otamendi was never in his agenda. Ramos would have been accepted only if he wanted to come. We were not in the chase. May be we chased Bale, and that caused the dillydally about our interest in Pedro. Anthony Martial may have been just an option among the players scouted. Plan B. |
MrLouisVanGaal:Perhaps Madrid changed their mind and decided to end it this way not to hurt DDG directly. Initially I was thinking Woodward put a worm in the file he sent to Madrid. Lol. You know that guy is a ruthless business man. |
“And that’s what sped things up eventually. As you know the transfer [window] finishes at 11pm UK time in Spain and Real Madrid, the highest possible sources, only about an hour and a half ago were saying they were scared that there would be no time to do it. “There was eventually, Keylor Navas said ‘OK, I’m coming to Manchester United’. “And, by the way, that is a goalkeeper who Louis van Gaal likes. According to the de Gea camp, when a deal was presented to renew his contract in the spring of 2014, van Gaal said ‘let’s wait to give him a new deal because I like Navas’.” Skysports, foxsports http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11667/9974229/real-madrid-and-manchester-united-agree-david-de-gea-deal |
Sky sources understand United will receive a fee of around £18m for De Gea, with Navas valued at £11m It looks like I didn't understand the contract before. I thought it was £29m plus Navas. |
The truth of this matter is still hidden.

These two posts making me to ![]() So I am not the only one who thinks adults playing FIFA is disgusting. Waste of time sef.

parrotibaba:We played 4-3-1-2 and our play was good with swift transition of the ball to attack. Rooney was playing behind Van Persie and Falcao and we were scoring two goals before half time. When Rooney picked a red card against West Ham and Falcao had fresh injury worries, Gaal dropped the idea. Then he used 4-1-4-1 which gave him less headache against Chelsea and City. Against Arsenal, I think we changed the formation again to 3-4-1-2 with Rooney behind Di Maria and Van Persie. But Arsenal had a lot of chances. As Fellaini became relevant to the team, Gaal settled for 4-1-4-1 formation. Our best attacking play was 4-3-1-2 but our most stable play was 4-1-4-1 |
.. . 'Van Gaal has his philosophy and one of the things that made me want to leave is that,' he said on ESPN Radio Argentina. 'It is difficult to adapt to Van Gaal. I had a couple of rows with him.' Di Maria says he was pleased with how life began in Manchester but things changed after his hamstring injury, when Van Gaal started using him in a different position. 'I started well and after that I got injured,' he explained. 'Things didn't go well for me and Van Gaal changed my position. 'I spoke with [Laurent] Blanc and his thinking was that I'd play in a similar position to where I did at Real Madrid.' DAILY Mail |
Di Maria : Van Gaal changed my position and PSG agreed to play me there. I remember I said this last season, Di Maria 's best position is the same place he played in Real Madrid, side of a midfield diamond. He could also play very well as one of front there. I guess Gaal was afraid of his defensive liability in the middle as one of midfielders in a diamond. That is where he should have played Valencia on the other side to seat deeper to compensate Di Maria's forward play. |
AdeLaNa1:Exactly be like say I go settle down for night learn this one. |
elampiro:I also watched all Rooney's goals from 2005 to 2008, I wonder where our pacing football has gone to. The style of play now and the style of play then are totally different. Even JS Park that was slow in that era would beat our current players to pace. If Rooney had continuing with his pacing football he would have been like Arjen Robben. Our transition of the ball needs to improve. |
The third counter in this collection of counters. To think this is how Rooney used to play. His pace and movement with the ball alone almost made the two centre backs to collide with each other out of confusion. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FXQpwqY0edg |
It looks to me we still need one huge signing in attack. This one looks like a project for the future. Even Messi wasn't a boss at 19. |
chrisley024:But look at the minutes played. The number of matches misleading.... |
chrisley024: ![]() These are immediate solutions but not a permanent solution. This Leicester guy, is he another Harry Kane? Do we need a Harry Kane kind of player or an Aguero kind of player? Gaal loves young players and he is hoping to build a team of world class players who can play with flair. Not some players forcing it. The reason he might not buy Gomis even if he is cheap in Zimbabwean currency. |
Hope we have not bought someone that would make us regret selling Welbeck? He scored 9 League goals in 1828 minutes last season. I read we put in for him when Monaco went out of the UCL. Wenger first wanted him after Monaco beat Arsenal last season. Arsenal were looking to sign him just a little above what Monaco paid to sign him. In the summer, Tottenham were reported to have bid £18 million. The last rumour was that Barca joined in the race among several EPL teams.
|
But where is the Joker Van Gaal promised us? |
tess1:I will assume it's for the price. It's look like we hijacked him from going to other EPL teams which is why he was expensive. Coupled with the fact that deadline deals are usually expensive. |
Anders Lindegaard to West Brom. Chicharito arrives Leverkusen. |

Martial travelling to UK to sign for Manchester. - - - Sky Sports. |
Dadehmola:I think he is still better than Young. De Pay plays more with his 9 and 10 than Young. Young goes solo on the wing with some help from his full back, then he crosses into the box aimlessly. When we bought De Pay last season, Gaal said fans will have to give him sometime to adapt. Hazard, Sanchez who are established are still trying to get their game. Pedro and Sterling are only lucky thus far in my assessment. |
nyabinghi:The problem is Rooney ought to have come out of that game as a hero yesterday. He missed that chance of building on his Brugges performance. If he shot and keeper saved, he would be blamed less or not even blamed at all. He should learn to correct that one or two seconds delay. |
nyabinghi:I am in support of Jones over Blind. I was beginning to support Smalling and Blind, but I have realized that the deep lying defence and lack of adventure of the full backs has made the Centre Defence look solid. A defence protected by Sneiderline should do better. We lost the ball in the striking zone at one nil up, the next thing the ball was in our net. That is not good enough. Not even losing it in midfield. That I blame the defenders more. |
dopeJemi:De Pay needs to be encouraged. He is a young player in a new league. He was frustrated and tired at the 60th minute mark. Same time Di Maria was getting tired. |
Mourinholic:Rooney is not the general problem but the guy is not helping himself. He repeated same mistake over and over again. It's good to see he could go behind the defence with sense, but he has to shoot to score. A striker once through shoots or shield the ball to his front to prevent any chance of the defender touching the ball or dribble with a close control of the ball within your legs. |
nyabinghi:You need to cool down on Memphis. I can't ask for more than he is doing at the moment. He has started very well and he would be the one to carry on in the long run. Even CR7 did not hit the ground running immediately. Blind was seriously exposed yesterday. As soon as the defenders split apart, Blind couldn't stand his own. Luke Shaw overlapped which is normal, but must we concede when a player has overlapped? We saw Darmian covered for Smalling twice in the first half yesterday and won the two one-on-on situations with the strikers. But Blind was exposed once he came one vs one with strikers. This is why I said the reason our defence looked strong in the first matches was because we played deep and compact together at the back. This also has affected our our attacking play. Full back must overlap but we must have Centre backs with quick feet able to close the ball and strikers down quickly enough. If we remove Blind from that defence, we will play higher and pressure better. Romero had a bad day at work. Another bad day, he will lose his place as number one goalkeeper. Rooney has become too relaxed. He doesn't challenge himself anymore. How can a player of his calibre rely on criticism to up his game? If he were not criticized by journalists, I could bet Rooney would have continued playing as he did against Villa. Does he not watch his own matches? It was only in the second half he started jumping high to win headers. That should have been after Gaal lashed him at half time. He doesn't play with energy as before. He underrates defenders. Look at that weak dribbling attempt when he was through on goal in the first half. He dribbled the ball to the advantage of the marker. He could have dribbled that ball with the ball still tight to his feet such that any attempt to win it will lead to a penalty. Even the obvious option was to curl it to the far right corner with his right foot. He leaves 50-50 balls to oppositions too easily. I understand he is afraid of injuries, but is doing it too much. The positive is that his general game is better and we can find him. But without hardwork, luck won't shine on him. What does Gomis have? Only hardwork and he is scoring. Gomis is not a particularly skillful player but he works hard. The more you work hard the more you sharpen your fitness. |
UniqueGem:So you just spend £36 million on any body? You are not being logical. |
