Every old person on the thread should know that the quality of analysis here has dropped drastically and here has become less attractive. This is one reason I find it hard to be here as before. Some think I don't watch matches. Many of the real men who were here have gone. Without quality, here has become less attractive. In terms of number of pages, Chelsea thread used to be far behind year in year out. But the attraction is taken out of here.

You still see very few guys with quality though. But generally, here is not as before.

You don't watch our games, you rely on statistics. Man Utd has always relied on counter-attacks this season. We haven't scored creative goals in a long time. Sometimes, we press from the front to get goals from opponents' mistakes. Mainly, we find it hard to break through defences, reason we make use of James, Rashford and Martial's pace to get goals. James has about 6 assists this season, what does that tell you Na?

- Man United plays the highest number of shots from outside the box per game. Unfortunately, with a disappointing conversion rate.

- EPL teams highest number of through pass per game is 2. Eight EPL teams currently making two through passes per game. City, United, Spurs, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Leicester, Everton. (Probably we are not making use of ours. I do see Fred making those kind of passes)

- Rashford has hit the woodwork 6 times this season making him the highest. KDB and Garrard of Watford are second with 4. Aguero has 3.

Do you know that even Liverpool cannot play tiki-taka. Only City looks to try that method. Liverpool is competing with bottom teams on number of long balls played.

Manchester United has scored just 4 goals from set piece this season putting us in 15th position. Bournemouth has scored 10 to be number one, Liverpool, Arsenal, Man City, Wolves, Newcastle are second second with 9 goals from set pieces.

Maguire has missed like 2 or 3 big chances from set pieces. Our forwards are not good headers of the ball. This also tells why our wingers and midfielders taking set plays have low Assists figures. Smalling and Fellaini used to nod in some of them.

This is not true. We are playing more and more in the final third.Also, we have scored only 4 goals from counter attacks this season. Leicester 6, Spurs 5, Liverpool 4, Chelsea 4, United 4.

Do you know that SAF was a counter attacking football king?

Bruno never fully sign sef and when he does we still need to see how he integrates into the team for a period of time to assess, like you posited.

You want us to play like Liverpool. My guy things scattered since SAF left. It will not be easy to get the consistency we all want. But it is better recently and Rashford is proving critics wrong. Martial is getting better too. The understanding among players is better.

It didn't go well. Benfica were all over him. Forced into workmanlike performance which was ok showed some glimpses of quality though. I like the fact he's quick with good touch he'll need to improve and hopefully be consistent.

Doesn't sound like someone that will hit the ground running. We may have to wait for 6 months, 1 year or two as we have been waiting for Fred.

Midfielders are set up to play differently from team to team. So you cannot compare the attacking function KDB has to what McTominay or Fred has. Just as we couldnt with Scholes and Lampard

1. 4-2-3-1 example given using Arsenal, the two CMs or two DMs or DM/CM will have limited attacking function. The creation will be left primarily for the three behind the striker.

2. In 4-3-3 one or two of the three midfielders is given a strong attacking role. So one acts as a DM, second as a CM third as an attacking midfielder which KDB does for City. In the supposed Barca formation, Rafina should have all ticket for attacking play. Somwtimes where a team has a strong DM like Fernadinho, the other two can be attacking midfielders with a duty to drop slightly to help the midfield.

3. Pogba doesnt care if he is in a two man midfield, he is always going to attack and leaving a huge burden to his fellow CM or the DM. Since he is not clinical, the small teams just block and explore the huge space behind for a counter. Pogba should be used in a 3 man midfield. Lingard and Pereirra drop to the bench.

The CAM, midfielders, Young and William all came ahead of James, Rashford and Martial. The CAM actually should come first. So why does it sound like our midfielders don't do nothing?

Liverpool midfield 2 goals.

When you put the above in view of goals contribution, you would understand that our midfield is trying. And Liverpool forward would be doing better if they took all their penalties. Liverpool have a superior attack than ours. But we have a better midfield.
