Yooguyz: It is people like weah96 that would be the first to run to TB Joshua for a miracle at the slightest headache. Thanks for the clarification. Now I understand why he argues that way. |
Weah96: Yes, I believe that certain types of cancer can be cured using the placebo effect. It depends on the setting and the professionals involved. As far as the cripple, I don't believe it. Armed robbers around here routinely enter churches and rob congregants. Churches are also vandalized for their metals like copper and aluminum. A few months ago, a bible study leader at World Changers Int'l was shot dead in the middle of bible study by another minister of the same church. Priests have sodomized little boys in several cathedrals where Catholics go to worship Jesus. Why is it hard to believe that a wheelchair bound person in church is really in collusion with the pastor?I think I am beginning to get where your problem lies. Let me ask you a question first; Do you believe God exist? |
Weah96: Were they all healed or did they visit? Have you heard of the placebo effect? It is a real phenomenon that has been proven by science. And you think placebo can heal cancer, placebo can make a cripple walk. Think again my brother! |
naijababe: Wrong, think about it this way, as a butcher, if you know u can sell a kilo of pomo for 1000 naira to consumers and 4000 to people who process for hide, who will you sell to?Those who process for hide. Yeah I think I got your point. Hope it wrks out that way. |

Weah96: He's clearly deceiving some people ALL the time. Read the YouTube comments on some of his videos, and you'll notice that the majority of people are not deceived. As far as prominent people visiting him, I don't know what to tell you. I know that Jesus Christ is imaginary, and yet the POTUS admits that he seeks his guidance from this imaginary person. Is he telling the truth or appealing to a particular demo? From experience, I would say the latter. The one president I know who paid him a visit did so after one of his usual ambiguous prophecies. Was the prophecy a big deal in his/her country? That would explain why the visit was arranged. It was a PR move. It's considered a good thing in our society for someone to act like they're in constant contact with God. Until of course that person straps a bomb to their best and start running at you.The visit to the Synagogue by the Zulu King, on November 15, 2003, was particularly significant. The King came calling a few months after Sibusile, his daughter was HEALED of an ailment on August 20, 2003, at the Synagogue. The Zulu King was excited about her daughter’s healing because for several years he had taken the princess to many hospitals which failed to cure her. Since she received her healing, Sibusile had remained in The Synagogue where she devoted her life to the service of God as a member of the choir and presenter in French on Emmanuel T.V. |
@weah are all this stage manage ![]() Other prominent personalities who have visited the church are Jaso Van de Westhuzen, professional rugby player healed by Joshua, Rev. Tay Cheng Kee, founder of Bethesda Carthedral, Singapore, Raph Beimer, a judge of the US Supreme Court and Dupuo Peter, Premier of Northern Cape, South Africa. |
Weah96: Who has more faith than the mother of a terminally ill child? Are you kidding me? If this man was not a fraud, hospitals around the world would offer him some of their stage 4 cancer patients. Nothing can be done for them medically. Are you saying that there is no stage 4 cancer patient with enough faith in the hospital? Or that the hospitals haven't heard of this wonderful man?He has healed lots of cancer cases. You need to read about this man or watch some of his videos. Maybe former president of Zambia that he healed was stage manage too abi?? OTHER LEADERS: Atta-Mills, is, however, not the first African leader who enjoys a robust relationship with the man in the Synagogue. Many other African leaders have literally turned the church situated in Ikotun- Egbe, a Lagos suburb, into a pilgrimage centre of sorts. They include, President Omar Bongo of the Republic of Gabon, Goodwill Zwelithini, King of the Zulu from South Africa, ex-President Frederick Chiluba of Zambia, Andre Kolimba, former president of the Central African Republic, ex-President Pascal Linssouba of Congo Brazaville and Yormie Johnson, the former Liberian warlord. |
Sealeddeal: @Op,Kanda is not given to anybody free of charge. The consumers buys it equally.Higher kpomo production will result in excess availability thereby lower prices. And when you have lower prices that will shoot up consumption. So in essence increase production = lower prices = Higher kpomo consumption. It's just gonna be a circle. They have to ban it's consumption period! |
Olusanya333: He has said it b4 nd repeat it again. The Spirit of God minced with the Word he speak. Dats nonsense. When he says a word xo a whole person minced with d word to bring a resultI don't get you.... |
Weah96: Like I said, anecdotes. Hospitals around the world are filled to the brim with terminally sick people, many of them children. Why must his healing be done in his own setting? He's using props and impostors.During the time of Jesus there many sick people in his own village but he couldn't heal them cause of there unbelieve. You have to want it to get. If those sick in the hospital want and the believe Jesus can heal them, the will go to the man of God. By the way u didn't answer my question. |
naijababe: Ok...........let me break it down. Yes pomo is a national delicacy that can earn us billions but to suggest that people should stop eating it is preposterous. As with all things, if our markets are competitive and those who rear the cows earn the billions, eating pomo will become a thing of the past, they'd rather sell for hide than for meat, gerrit.nice one... |
naijababe: You mean a sheer waste right? Kinda at par with haggis but it is still the national dish of Scotland.Any suggestion out of the logjam cause our industries are bearing the brunt. |
Olusanya333: We Shall know the Truth nd d Truth shall set us free. Let one Speak nd others Judge what he says. Look at false teaching hereDo you in any way believe in the Holy Trinity? When he said " the word and the Spirit in consonance" it is definitely in line with the doctrine of the Holy trinity. |
naijababe: I have not read more bull5hit in my lifeMaybe you forgot that "pomo" has no nutritional value whatsoever! A shear waste of hide and skin for our local industries. |
The massive consumption of cattle skin, commonly called ‘pomo’ or ‘kanda,’ in the country has been proven to be destroying the hides and skin industry where Nigeria earns at least $3 billion annually in foreign exchange. At the time being, Nigeria’s hides and skin production, mainly undertaken in Kano State, is said to be the largest in the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) sub-region, with a total population of over 245 million people and an economic growth of 6 percent – 7 percent annually. This was revealed last Friday by Adeniyi Agunbiade, a professor of animal nutrition and feed technology, and is also the vice chancellor of McPherson University, Seriki-Sotayo, Ogun State, a tertiary institution owned by the Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria. Agunbiade specifically said that Nigeria, although was able to earn $ 3 billion from sale and export of hides and skins, but the country was miles away from playing deep in the huge global market of hides and skins worth over $72 billion. He said an expected expansion in the country’s leather industry would depend largely on the recovery of hides and skins of the farming stock, much of which is currently being consumed nationwide as ‘pomo.’ He mentioned that countries like China, Morocco, Tunisia, among others, were reaping heavily in exports of raw hides and skins to the world during the same period; “while sadly, Nigeria consumes hers in a food delicacy that has no nutritional value.” He, therefore, advocated for the stoppage of animal skin (pomo) consumption in order to save the country’s hides and skins industry. The US, with a value of hides and skins put at over $57 billion, is said to be the world’s preferred supplier of raw and semi-processed materials for leather production. businessdayonline.com/2014/07/pomo-consumption-hurting-nigerias-3bn-hidesskin-industry/

VENTURES AFRICA – From the streets of Lagos, to countless boardrooms, to catwalks all over the world, the Ankara fabric has proven to be so versatile that it is now recognized on the global fashion scene. A number of celebrities have been spotted in Ankara ensembles on red carpets globally. To many, the Ankara fabric has become a wardrobe staple already. The fabric is used to make a growing number of fashion items; bags, shoes, dresses, jewellery and countless accessories. This development has led to a change in the general perception of the Ankara fabric worldwide. According the article Fashion Reborn: Blends of African outfits from Ankara, by fibre2fashion “Destiny of the ‘once before’ cheap Ankara fabrics, have undergone a magical transformation. Elegant creativity of the designers has made it a preferred choice of the rich and celebrities.” The African print fabric has metamorphosed from cultural attire to a glamorous wardrobe must-have and right now the spotlight is on Africa. This Ankara trend has impacted the West African economy in a lot of ways and thus, the Nigerian economy. In the mid- 1980s, there were around 180 functional textile mills in Nigeria. The mills employed approximately a million people, this accounted for more than 60 percent of the textile industry capacity in West Africa, empowering millions of households across all geopolitical zones of Nigeria. This however changed shortly as the sector crashed into an industrial abyss. During this period, the number of textile companies dropped from about 180 to almost zero. This was revealed by an article on Nigeria’s textile economy titled: Nigeria’s Textile Industry on a Rebound?. However, in recent times, the sector has rebounded. The number of functioning textile companies has risen once more to 25. While the industry may not be at its former place of glory, a steady incline can be noted in the growth of the industry which is largely due to the current global Ankara trend. The rise in the demand of the fabric which was not too long ago considered to be a fabric for the poor or restricted to cultural festivities due to its brightly coloured patterns and relative low cost, has led to a corresponding rise in the production of the material. Also, aside from the lower priced brands, a lot more textile factories have started producing the Ankara fabric in more appealing and sophisticated designs. Furthermore, due to the ready availability of Ankara in the local market, it has become the preferred choice of fabric when making custom designed outfits. What was once considered to be a local market has grown exponentially to meet the increasing demands for the fabric worldwide. African designers and their Ankara designs are now sought out in all the echelons of the global society. The Ankara fashion industry has proven to be a veritable goldmine in these ways and many more. A lot of Ankara fashion shows spring up daily all over the global fashion scene. One of the more noteworthy ones is the annual Ankara Festival hosted yearly in Los Angeles, California. The festival or AFLA as it is commonly known was created in 2010 with the goal of increasing the visibility of African Culture through fashion, Arts, music, dance, and food. The festival aims to showcase Modern African Designs in African Print (Ankara), established African and African inspired designers, young up and coming designers, providing them a venue to showcase their abilities, and develop their entrepreneurial ambition in the international fashion arena. Another notable development is the Ankara Invasion. This has been adopted as the collective name for the current global Ankara trend. Different items fashioned out of the Ankara fabric are now spotted in places where it was once viewed as unsuitable. As Duro Olowu -a Nigerian fashion designer- said, “For a long time, there was a sense that this was limited to Africa but now it has become global. Combined with an awareness of social responsibility, it makes for a powerful statement.” Countless international designers have launched various new designs revolving around the Ankara fabric. Marc Jacobs, Givenchy, Eley Kishimoto, Jean Paul Gaultier, Diane Von Furstenberg, Gwen Stefani, Dries van Noten, Kenzo and Paul Smith among others have included items fashioned out of Ankara fabric in their recent collections. A lot of renowned celebrities have also taken to this fashion trend. Beyoncé Knowles, Rihanna, Fergie and Kim Kardashian to name a few, have adopted the Ankara fabric and have been spotted in daring designs using one or more fabrics. The rise on the trend isn’t restricted to celebrities alone. A lot of foreigners who have seen the designs at work, on TV or even at school have joined the movement. It is not uncommon to find people wearing the fabric who may not even know the traditional name. The fabric is commonly referred to in these circles as “African Print”. The overnight explosion of the use of Ankara fabric on the global fashion scene is perhaps one of the most notable fashion trends to have emerged from Africa over the last couple of years. The Ankara fabric is one that is very versatile and constantly evolving to meet today’s fashion fads. Hence, one may go as far as saying that the fabric and the trend have come to stay on the global fashion market. Weah96: Anecdotes. Nothing but anecdotes. With the kind of cash he's paying, I would agree to stand from a wheelchair myself. He should visit a hospital and leave his props behind. Many sick children are hospitalized in cancer wards all over the country. This guy has been performing miracles and healing for more than 30 years now, with no single accusation of faking any. Rather what he's been accuse of, is using diabolical powers for his miracles which even Jesus Christ himself face same accusations. Healing is an act of faith, one has to want and desire it, if not, no amount of anointing can effect anything in the individual. you can deceive some of the pple all of the time, or all of the pple some of the time, but u can't deceive all of the people all of the time for 30 years plus. Have you ask your self why presidents, celebrities and prominent statemen visits him regularly? |
I have always posit that BH may have started local, but the current insurgency has plethora of support from far and near. For the yanks, Canadians, British, French, Chinese and even Germans to be interested and involve in what's going on in a far desert enclave with no prospect of oil should be a subject for indept analysis. Don't tell me the are concern about some poor abducted girls (God bless their soul). It takes more than that to get the west involve otherwise Israel would have been receiving sanctions other than active support. Even with the deaths of women and children over there, the world choose to look the other way while the are being helplessly pounded. My opinion is, Nigeria called Africa's largest economy with large oil reserve and abundant natural resources is more of an enticing factor than any. A country touted as a rising power would appeal to the west more than the cry of 200 abducted girls in a rural village. When the Russian finally decide to get there fingers on the African pie, then you can be right assured that the soup will soon be all mixed up! |

Controversial Nigerian Pastor T.B. Joshua has put substance into his claim of leading a ‘church of all nations’ after packing an Olympic stadium in the South American nation of Colombia for a miracle crusade last weekend. With almost 100,000 people attending the three day event, culminating with a pastor’s conference, the coming of the Nigerian pastor caused a stir within local media with several newspapers, television stations and radio networks covering the occasion. Joshua, who is the head of The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) and founder of Christian television network Emmanuel TV, preached on the subject of faith in both days of the crusade, held at the Pascual Guerrero Olympic Stadium in Cali, Colombia. In a message titled, ‘The Price Of Faith’, he stressed that both God’s Word and Spirit must be in consonance for Scriptural results to accompany ministry today. "We are making Jesus Christ unpopular because Jesus is the Word and the Spirit but today we have taken Jesus as the Word," the cleric lamented, calling on the church to stop exuding envy and jealousy and learn from each other. The Nigerian pastor then ministered prayer to the sick and infirm. Notable miracles followed, including wheelchair bound invalids rising up and walking and a young man brought to the event on a mattress miraculously leaving it behind. Each move from the prophet was accompanied by applause from the Colombians, the cry of ‘Cristo vive’ (Christ lives) reverberating around the stadium at every miracle that unfolded. Despite language barrier, Joshua evidently won the hearts of the locals with his simplicity and warmth. He enjoined international attendees to invest in Colombia, stating that the impression the international community had about the nation was quite different to what he had personally experienced. When Joshua offered ‘mass prayer’ for everyone within the stadium, calling on all ‘unclean spirits’ of witchcraft and immorality of a sexual nature to be exposed, the resultant pandemonium was extraordinary. "All spirits of affliction, witchcraft, divination, immorality and lust – I command them out, in the name of Jesus Christ,” Joshua bellowed, translators conveying his every word in Spanish. People throughout the stadium began rolling, screaming, vomiting and writhing uncannily on the floor. “The evil spirits behind their problems are being cast out,” a commentator frantically explained. Striving to differentiate himself from the stereotypical ‘money-mongering’ connotation attached to Pentecostal pastors of his ilk, Joshua made it clear that material gain was not the focus of the event but the salvation of souls. “Miracles, signs, wonders, deliverance and healing cannot be exchanged with money,” he warned the crowd, a statement backed up by the free entrance to the event and equally free distribution of ministry materials to attendees. This was coupled by a humanitarian event held on Wednesday 16th July in which Joshua and his team distributed foodstuff to thousands of less privileged families. Pictures of the whole event, which was broadcast live on Emmanuel TV and local Colombian channel ‘Telefamilia’, were posted on Joshua’s official Facebook account, followed by over one million people. www.nigeriafilms.com/news/28096/33/tb-joshua-lights-up-colombia-fills-olympic-stadium.html

igwedaboss: but y still Jonathan... despite all that is going wrong, I would to knw so I can understand ur support for himDon't get me wrong, I am not referring to my support for him. I am referring to the support he has among the generality of southern kaduna people, and it's not due to any laudable achievement in the area other than pure religious sentiment. It's more so now that APC have decided to zone the presidential post to the hausa/fulani who are greatly loath by sk people due to the incessant attacks by fulani herdsmen and and BH. It's a mutual hatered between the hausa part of kaduna and the Christian part of the state. |
cyril83: What happened to one quater of national budget directed to armed forces ?In Africa, the leading military spender is Algeria, ranked 29th in the world, with 3.8 per cent of GDP, followed by Egypt (41st, 2.1 per cent), Angola (42nd, 4.2 per cent), and South Africa (43rd, 1.3 per cent). Nigeria is ranked 57th in the world then earmarking $1.724billion – about 0.9 per cent of our GDP on defence. Even a smaller country like Morocco, ranked 48th with 3.4 per cent of GDP out-spends us! In contrast, countries at near state-of-war like Lebanon (58th, 4.1 per cent) and Sudan (56th, 4.1 per cent) are in our neighbourhood in terms of defence outlays. In as much as I am not excusing corruption, our military spending is far below the minimum require even for a country not at war. |
When the went on strike, was it legal or constitutional? This johesu are worsening an already bad situation. |
idupaul: What aircraft do they have to carry out precision bombardments . Story storyMore reason the $1billion GEJ requested should be granted fast! |
arewafederation: I wonder after so much denigrating of northerners by Jonathan's camp, you folks still count on our votes? I will be disappointed if Jonathan gets 10% of votes in any state in the north. Religion may not play out well for Jona this time around.Bros I am from kaduna state, southern kaduna to be precise. So I can tell you about the mood in my area. Jonathan wining is already a done deal. |
Finally somebody is waking up to his responsibilities. God bless the NA. |
arewafederation: Time shall tell.let's keep our fingers cross...!!! |
arewafederation: He lost the core north by a slight margin, getting over 40% votes in some core northern states which is a huge number. That won't happen again in 2015.Don't be too sure. Cause I see him getting substantial votes from places such as southern kaduna, southern Gombe, southern kebbi and Niger and northern Christian dominated areas. |
The military has intensified its air operations in the renewed offensive against Boko Haram terrorists, bombarding their positions in and around Borno State. This was confirmed in a statement Wednesday by the Defence Headquarters (DHQ) through its twitter handle @DefenceInfoNG. According to the statement, the air onslaught was conducted to repel the insurgents in Dille town and surrounding settlements. The DHQ however clarified that the operation was carefully conducted with precision despite the fact that the terrorists hide amongst the locals. The statement read: "Air Operations conducted to repel attack of Terrorists in Dille and environ on Monday was conducted in line with standard practice” Details to follow www.thisdaylive.com/articles/insurgency-military-intensifies-air-offensive-against-boko-haram-in-borno/183767/
