@Eldee

I know you want your team to win.
I want you to win as well. .
but you decieve yourself by saying you controlled the midfield.
Which kain talk be dat?

You are the one watching a different match.
Jamie just got a new contract. . his mind is somewhere else.  grin grin
I didn't say it . . . Redknapp analysed it

Giggs has been terrible, Carrick's not passing well, the forwards have had to come back to get the ball themselves.
Who's owned the midfield?? Denilson has touched the ball more times than Carrick

It's about who's had more of the ball, that's how you judge midfield battles.

Arshavin almost always scores. Funny thing is, he wouldn't have been there if Fab didn't go and get injured. I took Fab out and put him in, and I'm smiling. And pissed. Oh, whatever!
I was planning to bring in Gerrard for him but I couldn't sacrifice anyone else

Fletcher got the ball before the man. That wasn't a penalty to me. Looked like one, but wasn't one. RVP.  .  .did he get the ball first? Not sure about that. Will watch the replay though.
Are you just saying that to cause an Arsenal riot??
Arshavin pushed the ball away, no ball contact, one bit

I don't get it
Fletcher does it and escapes, Van Persie. . . and it's a yellow

This is just wrong!!!!

Cristalz:
I'm pissed 'cos I support United, and I'm glad 'cos Arshavin is in my FPL team. Now what emotion should I feel exactly? undecided
I was thinking of taking him off my team

That's not the point.
The quality of football drops significantly when you face a strong team
I can't count 6 successive passes since the start of the game. .

DId you count shots at goal??

A deliberate conspiracy like you guys always talk about should be able to fix the draw against EPL clubs.
A deliberate dislike should make sure you are out and get you tough draws

A group with Arsenal, Real Madrid, Fiorentina, wolfsburg would have been more appropriate
Come on . . . stop talking like a Dayo cheesy

They cannot affect draws, every idiot knows that.
If people could affect draws, the Millwall Vs West Ham draw woulda been avoided.

But they can affect decisions and perceptions and that's what Platini is doing. . .
Look at the way they go on and on about homegrown players when they know who exactly they're witch-hunting
Also look at the campaign against player/transfer finances coming from the same person that supported Ronaldo's transfer to Madrid.

Platini on Ronaldo (When speculated fee was £30mil)
If the club has the finances they can do it, if they don't have the money they can't."

After he found out how much money Man Utd was going to make out of it
These transfers represent a serious challenge to the idea of fair play and the concept of financial balance in our competitions.

Im not total against the idea, it's just not as perfect as you people make it out to be. You still have your lines (Brits and Canadians complain about this all the time) and it still remains that if you want QUALITY care, you'd be better off in a private hospital and not with someone who has to rely on the govt for their money.
It's not perfect, if you want perfect check out countries like Sweden.

Sports › Re: Nwankwo Kanu Mysterious Contract At Portsmouth F.c by eldee(m): 4:01pm On Aug 29, 2009
@topic
Kanu did not sign a one month contract
It's an EPL default offer. . .

At the end of a player's long term contract, if the club remains sceptical about offering a new one, the player is automatically signed on to a monthly contract and has the right to leave the club anytime till the club decides to release him or he decides to become a free agent (whichever comes first).

This is to ensure that the player is able to get a free transfer even after the Summer transfer season is over.
It also gives the player the chance to fight for a shirt.

Would Arshavin had done the same thing in a Champions League semi-final poised at 1-1 in the 89th minute?
Those are the telling factors. The game against Pompey was dead rubber. . . . .Win, Lose or Draw. . . .
Arsenal had already muscled Villa out of the 4th place position.[/quote]As I said before, a player got a fairplay award for doing something similar in a Calsberg Cup match . . . how is that more important than an EPL game??

This is a Friendly Tournament in Hong Kong we're talking about.
Arshavin did it in his third/fourth ever Arsenal appearance and he didn't even get mentioned by the FA

You have to accept it . . . Arsene has called for video technology for years
He admitted that he won't accept a wrongfully awarded penalty . . . no one does nuffin

But now it's Arsenal, it becomes a big deal
This is Eduardo's first Arsenal dive . . . Ronaldo dives in his sleep, Babel won a quater-final (and rubbished Walcott's supergoal) with a dive.
Everyone turned a blind eye . . . Dudu dives when his team is 2-0 up at home and banning him is on Platini's to-do list.

To prove that it's an anti-Arsenal conspiracy . . . Arshavin refused to take a penalty that shouldn't have been given
He refused to take it . . . and no, he didn't get no FIFA Fairplay Award.

Fowler hit it as hard as he could and he got some gold for it.

Lying GAYYners again Fowler did not score the penalty and he won the UEFA fair play award for it
Are you having a laugh?? He took the flipping penalty and tried to score.
Seaman (a famous PK stopper) hit it out and a teammate scored

The Guardian: Robbie Fowler is not one of them. While playing for Liverpool against Arsenal on March 24 1997, Fowler was involved in a famous incident at Highbury; he won a penalty, appearing to tumble under the challenge of David Seaman, before pleading with the referee Gerald Ashby not to award it, claiming the keeper had not touched him. Seaman saved the penalty, Jason McAteer rammed in the rebound, and Fowler ended up winning Uefa's Fair Play award for his honesty. However, Fowler admitted he did not miss on purpose. "As a goalscorer it's part of my job to take it and I wanted to score it," he said. "I tried to score. I never missed on purpose. It just happened, it was a bad penalty
At the end of the day, Eduardo only did what Fowler did . . . took the best penalty he could
He just happened to be a better penalty taker.
