Thanks for your response. All your points are duly noted. like I have always said and never denied if you have read through my previous comments, that I understand my choice of words might appear harsh, but in all honesty no offense intended. Sometimes you drive a point home much more by being blunt especially if you have taken time to observe someones disposition which is what I do anyway. This will definitely make the person to sit up. Anyway I have taken note of your advice and will gladly heed to that with joy. we are neither in a competition or in contest, and like I believe our aim is to uplift one another by assisting where necessary. But you also need to work on mindset, as those comments you made are not quite encouraging, no offense intended. Europe is not a quick money area, but a blood sucking demon reaping you off through excessive bills and taxes unless you wanna join the fast lane, you need what I mean... hahahahaha. Thanks in all. Do have a lovely week ahead. |
Fabcol:Sorry for the lengthy post. Many thanks for your response, if you had read through my comments, you will understand that I am trying to put him right on track by reprimanding him, though I understand my choice of words might appear harsh, but some truths are better said openly cos an open rebuke is far better than a secret love. Nairaland has given me no duty to respond to people's questions here, i see it as our collective efforts to do so with the aim of uplifting one another cos we truly mean well for ourselves unless you are thinking otherwise. so please kindly rephrase that statement of yours as I see it to be very derogatory It wouldn't cost me a dime if I decide to keep mute and overlook some questions as you have said, but thank God am not the only one complaining about this annoying questions, so you see its a collective effort to we getting things right. Now to my questions, so now are you invariably saying we should uphold laziness and selfish tendencies? Are you saying we shouldn't reprimand someone who is heading towards the wrong direction or just keep quiet like you suggested and watch him fail cos you don't want to hurt him by saying the truth which of course is usually bitter. Am sorry if I may have disappointed you, am not that kind of person. An igbo adage rightly says an elderly person will not just stay at home and watch a goat deliver it's young one in chains. I want to believe that the reasons why we came here to seek for directions is to get things rightly done to avoid stories that touch. Someone came here sharing his experience as regards embassy giving him a rejection, and you could see how people rallied around him giving him suggestions why is it so, cos they don't want him to fail a second time. Honestly the Germans have been very lenient, many thanks to their wonderful policies. Pls take time to visit the Canadian, Australia and United States thread to see how distasteful people's experience have been over the years. Let's not abuse the opportunity we have been given to better our lives and the people around us. That's why we are advocating for people here to be diligent as we have been told by our seniors that they frown at laziness and unseriousness. Finally, I think you need to redefine why you are coming to Germany, Honestly this comment of yours: This Germany no be guarantee say person go make this money ooooo, is actually not encouraging. If you have observed closely, the normal cliche here is GO TO DEUTSCHLAND AND SUCCEED and not go to deutschland and make money. Success is all encompassing and not just about making money alone. Once again many thanks for your response. All the very best in your pursuits. |
kevwemanuel:what if the school don't have your desired course or something related. Have you thought about that. The way you are going it's not the proper way. you seem to be putting the cart before the horse. Guess you should know, unless you haven't read through, you have been told countless number of times, take your time search for schools offering your desired choice of study or probably something related. it's not a quick fix stuff. you need to spend time to research the curriculum and content of the program. You should know what they are offering you and what you stand to get. Don't tell me you are part of the No future ambition (NFA) category of students. Embassy go ask you to give them cogent reasons why you are opting for this course and how you intend to utilize the knowledge. Then you go say na dailydolar say them dey do online application. Abeg spend ample time to prepare. All this annoying questions shows you are actually not ready for studies honestly. All the very best. |
@ajeleseujn, many thanks for your assistance here, the gospel truth remains that all this your Sunday sermon are actually falling on very big deaf ears. Just wait and see in no distance time, annoying questions will start popping in. It's pathetic though, but our people has refused to do the needful. Even after sending someone a link that addresses a problem, the person go dey ask you to open the link for am, read and explain what is written there. some will ask a question that was currently addressed few seconds ago, and you keep imagining the type of persons we have here. Some go tell you say them don read, but when they throw their questions here, na there you go know say devil dey learn work when it comes to lieing. some say dem don tire to read when it's obvious they are yet to start the journey. una sure say na school una want go. soonest embassy will start questioning every motives even the least mundane ones. it's well. May God help us |
If am to understand you better @schwein, you have issues with date of birth as well. This is something they don't compromise or joke with. A good number of us here are also above 30,but didn't tamper with this information. It's very easy for them to spot inconsistency in your date of birth no matter how you downgrade it or upgrade it. And it's a red flag. please you have to repackage your application, starting from your waec, transcripts, age declaration, international passport data page, CV etc Make sure they all have the same date of birth. And make sure it's absolutely correct. Do you have sufficient work related experience to make up for the gap years you were off school and also after graduation. Pls include them in your CV. And if you probably have appointment letters, pls include it. It serves as a proof. Germans like proofs, that's why they don't play with documentations. |
schwenin:so sorry bro. I understand you might not really be in the best of moods. Brace up, what will be, will definitely be. From my little understanding, they probably cross checked your last application with your present application before taking a decision. Seems to me your motivation letter was not convincing enough likewise giving the visa officer a reasonable convincing reason why you decide to opt for this present msc as against the former bsc. *we're you able to show a correlation between this msc and your first degree ** were you able to show passion and an understanding of your proposed study *** Were you able to show how relevant such study is to your career development **** were you able to show how you could probably use the knowledge you will acquire for the future. Sorry I might be boring you with such questions, but this are clear pointers. I will not advice you go for an appeal cos its obvious your application was not quite convincing. And remember they have your data. I will suggest you patiently wait for next year application. This time take ample time to search for several schools that suits your career development, apply very early, know why you are opting for this school. package a convincing motivation letter to suit your professional career development and ambition after gaining admission, and prayerfully prepare for your interview with convincing facts you must have gathered. It's well my brother. Don't fret, don't relent, it will surely come to pass. God almighty will surely see you through. Encourage yourself. It's not the end. The very best awaits you. All the very best. |
Ndkings1:I am sorry I may sound quite harsh but I feel it's expedient cos it is for your benefit. Pls why do you find it very difficult to heed to advices people have been throwing up here. Are you sure you really desire to do an msc in Germany. Please what exactly do you do with your time, that you find it very difficult to read up pages from this thread. Just like someone earlier said, you happen to be part of the reasons President Buhari call Nigerian youths lazy. Imagine your kind of questions. You have got a wealth of priceless information I doubt you can easily find elsewhere and you are asking if it's better to use agents, when it's obvious the agents are praying you don't stumble upon this piece of information. Maybe you haven't had enough lessons from life. Agents have not dealt with you before. Use them at your own peril and don't come here crying to us for a quick fix. Am sorry am not diplomatic with my choice of words as you may think am very brash, but if I don't despise you, then it's obvious I don't care to see you succeed. when we say read through pages from this thread, some of you newbies think we are quite irrational, wicked and conceited. Little wonder they said if you want to hide something from a black man, just put it in writing. Hope my message is understandable by you. But if you feel otherwise, please do have a rethink. We have to live with the consequences of our decisions in life. I pray to see you succeed above all things. All the very best. |
sahm4u2nv:whether you have gotten an msc or not, the question remains why are you going for this particular msc. we are asking you this cos this question happens to be a very important question for the visa officers and moreover also for the auslanderbehorde which they will get to see from what you wrote on your motivation letter. when we say take time to read through pages in this thread, some of you think we are wicked and a bit mean. Honestly it's absolutely for your own good. This question can make your process successful or distasteful. you just jumped from no where and start to seek for quick quick solution. Brother nothing good comes easy. Pls our noble pedologist/agronomist read read and read. |
schwenin:If you have been sent an AM, you need to indicate your possible travel date. |
Isiokpukpu:see as people dey torchlight your matter, hope say you no just come here to get wetin you want and vamoz. we want to see you contributing to other people's worries and concerns. so plz kindly make out time to read pages from this thread and also make yourself available to assist. As regards your matter, kindly check out this juicy offer: kofi Annan MBA scholarship. It's an executive MBA and you know what you stand to gain if being offered. one of us happens to be a recipient of this mouth watering award. try to contact bola95. she might be of help if needed. All the very best. |
Kenechill:That's thoughtful of you kenechill, guess you haven't been long on this thread, but here you are dishing out solutions to several persons here. God will make it happen for you just as you decided to do so for others. @ndkings1, pls if you really don't mind, I would like you to state your concerns here for others to help where needed and also learn where necessary. thanks |
just seeing this, hope am not late, pls add me to the group 08128133555 |
OJM1:Time happens not to be your friend coupled with series of Nigeria and German public holidays. You need to send a mail to your program coordinator explaining your present situation, tell them to kindly extend your enrollment so as to give you room to get things fixed up quickly down here. But you need to do some follow up on what have been taught so far, quickly enroll and register for studies. I don't know if you have gotten AM or have already sent your passport awaiting visas. But if it happens to be the latter, you can kindly indicate to the consulate that you will be available to pick up your visas by hand and would be glad if they kindly inform you. All the very best as you prepare, just a little note of advice, if you regularly go on hair attachments, wetin be the name again.... weavon abi na wig. please make due to buy enough here as its quite expensive over there, so i heard ooooo, hahahaha. |
Chywueze:The discount emirates promo is still on and will probably run till december. Use NGSTU18 while booking. it's more cheaper during the week days, and a bit higher during weekends. The problem is usually availability of desirable date. But the promo is specifically for Frankfurt and Dusseldorf. So you have to find your destination from any of the airports. Meanwhile I learnt Turkish airline gives similar promo as well, quite cheaper than Emirates with very good airplanes as well. I guess you need to visit their office to find out about such. Safe journey as you land in deutschland. |
Fabcol:check out what they require for that particular department you are applying for. If possible send a mail to the program coordinator if you are quite confused. |
Ogoonna:Keep reading bro. The answers to your questions is right here on this particular thread. so please read thoroughly to get yourself informed. I guess several persons have done justice to this. All the very best. |
Kenechill:I stand to be corrected though, but I think it's dependent on the department you are applying to. Try to find out what exactly they require. Ask the program coordinator what exactly is required for such. That way you get first hand information on what is expected of you, so that you know what exactly to go for and avoid unnecessary expenses. |
babae2009:Am sorry to say bro, you seem to be putting the cart before the horse, first and foremost, get schools that suits your career needs and development ,check out their requirements, that will determine if you need to write ielts as you have said. But I believe a good number of them will not even require your ielts, I don't even think you need it though. just check it out pls. |
babae2009:since you are going for bachelor's degree, I will suggest you kindly look for courses whose language of instruction is English language. reasons are you might find it very very difficult to cope with courses whose language of instruction is deutsch and moreover you need to submit proof of German language proficiency at least B1 level before you could be admitted. so you see you probably might not fit in. After getting your desired bsc courses in English, apply to the different programs and schools immediately their application portal opens. it's advisable to learn German while in Nigeria cos it's more expensive to do same over there and moreover if you learn to a great extent here, you will easily integrate and learn faster the remaining ones when you get in there. If what you imply is to go for a language school in Germany first and later apply for a bsc course over there after getting the language course certificate, then you will probably have to take it one step at a time. But take note, it's not the best of options in terms of cost and you coping with the language of instruction while receiving lectures. Hope this helps. |

harkheju:I would rather prefer you ask your questions here so that others who have same or similar problems with you can learn and benefit from it. And moreover, this will give room for several other experienced fellows to contribute to the issue. Thanks in all |
Good to see some newbies creeping in gradually. I will like to leave this words of advice * kindly read through pages of this thread, start from the very first page, the information contained in the very first page will help you to get started if you are yet undecided. if you possibly can, go through other versions as well eg part two, three and four. Believe me, you won't regret doing so. The information you will get here is a goldmine awaiting for your perusal. You will virtually become much more knowledgeable and be able to help some who are confused. ** Search thoroughly through daad and google for courses that suits your interest, make sure you check the course contents very well so that you know what they are offering and what you stand to get at the end of the day. Don't just enrol into any course you see because you want to travel out, take note guys are getting extra semesters as coping up with the level of their studies no be beans *** please endeavor to learn the German language while you're preparing to go there for studies. it will help you to integrate very fast and moreover give you access to good juicy offers at will. it seems to be the meal ticket for the basic hustle there. There are several good videos you can download on YouTube while you study them offline, also try to download duolingo app on your mobile device. **** For science based students, it will be more ideal if you learn programming language before you go for studies, you will definitely not regret doing this if you eventually do. This happens to be another good meal ticket for the basic hustle over there. Germany is a highly technological advanced country and this happens to speak more volumes if you do learn them. You get very good high paying jobs if you learn them and this will even pay you better as you will somehow get to see them in your course of study. learn the following good programs if you possibly can : python, Java, matlab, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and some database mgt packages ***** Accommodation seems to be quite a problem in some cities mostly the very big ones. so it's good you get yourself acquainted with studentenwerk early enough so as to possibly stand a chance to get a cheaper accommodation as this happens to be the major expenses you will incur per month, unless your papa na dangote, otedola, adenuga, innoson and the very likes. please endeavor to read through this thread thoroughly, cos if you ask questions that have already been answered here repeatedly, you stand to get people angered including I myself. Even if you need to ask which is not wrong anyway, ask specific questions which appears confusing and not vague questions, someone with such experience will quickly come to your aid. We want you to be a solution to the problems we already have and not being the problem so to speak. Pls endeavor to help one another with your wealth of experience and knowledge. let's uplift one another just like the Jewish people do. One love brethren. Make I kukuma rest small, I need am wella. lol Finally put everything to God in prayer. |
seftty:E be like say them don repent after losing so much customers to fintiba, lol. As regards the date, maybe you kindly confirm from them, na them sabi as them want their thing to be. All the same if them worry you too much which I think they might still do, quickly port go fintiba and get everything done online and swift without stepping out of your domain. NB: Am not a fintiba staff ooooo, before you think am doing marketing. lol. just making a suggestion though. |
jesujoba001:Guess your problem is quite light anyway. If you are above thirty years of age, then it's obvious you can't do public health insurance, you go for private health insurance, though I stand to be corrected anyway. As regards the fintiba insurance, they are quite new into the game and have not really been tested, so we can't testify of their goodness, maybe you help us with that, that's if you settle for it. All the same, research different available health insurance package and check out their prices and what they offer as well. You can get the required documents for enrollment from them online as well. So all you need do is to send it immediately after getting it to enable you enrol. |
Rosicky7:Baba rosicky, you don clear space for your goods sharpardly, lol. Nice one bro. Hope say you go do promo ooooo, hahahahahaha. |
babae2009:guess you mean bachelors degree program, if so you have brighter chances. what you even need for submission is your first year transcripts and your waec or neco with some other documents as required by the school. But endeavor to get everything anyway since its your property, you might still have need for it. For your other salient questions, please endeavor to read through this thread thoroughly, cos if you ask questions which have already been answered here repeatedly, you stand to get people angered including me as well, and you might not like the expressions you will get. just my one cent for you anyway. |
Pauludy:To add to what have been answered, you can get a sponsorship letter or block account opening confirmation before going for the interview. But it's better off if you fund your account before interview, that way you know you have little to worry. |
bujebudanu1:Has it been to solve the problem as you just said, when I mean implications, am referring to cost. Anyway public schools are not exempted from this wahala, but if you know your way as per correct street boy, you will get things to work for you. you don't need to spend heavily to get things as such. All the very best. |
ollyewa:Actually different schools have different application requirements, some might require you submit the ielts, some might make it easier for you by asking you to get a letter of English language proficiency, so first things first, identify schools that suits you and note their requirements. As regards meeting up, if it is for summer applications, you will, but if it is for winter application, you probably will if the school starts application quite early. But some schools open applications for winter as from April. Guess this issue won't poise a problem to you as a good number of schools will accept the English language proficiency letter. All the very best. |
bujebudanu1:I believe you know the implications when you made a decision to attend private university here in Nigeria, so you got to live with those decisions anyway. For your English language proficiency letter, go to your department, talk and plead with your HOD to draft one for you using their departmental letter headed paper, duly stamped and signed and dated as well. I believe it will be more cheaper or possibly free if you have goodwill in your department. All the very best. |
sammolarge19:That's why it's been advised severally here for people to read and learn, so as to avoid being ignorant since it's not an option like you stated. No short cuts to destiny bro, devote time to read and you will be glad you did. All the very best |
sammolarge19:Sorry to ask, did they tell you to come with the travel insurance for interview? why are you putting yourself under unnecessary tension. Sorry I may sound harsh, but I think it's expedient cos a good number of the questions you ask here is quite annoying honestly, more especially from an old timer like you. You suppose dey help put others through with their worries. wonder if we will see you here again after getting desired help from others. please do good to read and get yourself informed. All the very best |
