I will suggest you find an address in Abuja to use for booking your visa application since it seems your enrollment is too close to August which happens to be the date Lagos consulate is issuing at the moment.

Remember to use same for your resume when you finally succeed in getting a date for Abuja as you will be required to submit your resume on the interview day together with other documents. All the very best.

from your questions, I can deduce you have a lot to do honestly and truth be told time is not your friend at this point. I won't urge you to continue with this plan of yours rather I will suggest you calm down, read this thread very well, gather enough information, start early enough to sort out schools with courses of your choice, get the required document for each, and apply accordingly.

But if you feel you have the money to throw around, move on with your plan. All the very best.

@ gracejohnson, we have been advised severally on this thread to read and learn from other people's efforts, experience as well as mistakes, but unfortunately the reverse seems to be the case here. Just imagine how much you have spent sending the transcript to uniaasist and still it's not regarded. Presently you have to battle with time and work like a superman.

I will advise you to shift your focus to next year, reasons being you might not really get the desired admission after all as time seems to be against you, some of this schools seems to operate on first come first serve basis. you might also not meet up with the time required for admissions ie getting all the documents from your school by hand,certifying them to each schools requirement, arranging them for sending. you also might not meet up with visa processing issues as well.

so plz check out for courses which are related to your interest or your interest proper be it summer or winter semester. Take time to read and learn from others here, you have a lot you need to learn probably. All the very best.

sorry I don't mean to derail from your present situation, I understand it's not quite easy for you at this time.

There's a course on hydrography at hafencity university Hamburg, their application is online and also through uniassist which I guess you earlier did. The course is top notch with nice accreditation from international bodies. They just opened the application about three days ago, and I guess their enrollment wont be too early owing to their late application schedule.

I will suggest you give it a try pls. I actually feel your pains and pray to see you dance joyfully like never before. All the very best brother. shalom

In the best of interest, I would suggest you quickly write a letter to your program coordinator explaining the difficulties involved in getting a date for appointment and plead for them to draft a mail which will state your enrollment deadline. If possible let them know you are in a fix as appointment dates for June, July is fully booked out and August is just left with few dates to scramble for, which invariably should be towards ending.

This should also apply to several other persons having similar issues. It's well my people. God's grace in all.

The "school ID card" I read in this post is so helpful. I've been worried sick how I'm going to get my local government identification back dated. I don't have either immunization or baptisimal card either. But I still have my undergraduate ID card.

Please for emphasis and confirmation sake, have we anybody here who have used school ID card before?

Am not applying to the Kiel either, I already have my admission in the school of my choice and have done my interview as well. Am only advising cos you sound somehow disturbed each time you comment about this here. I pray that your expectations will not be cut short this winter semester. God's favor shine upon you.

@ osifo4ever, I see you are very much concerned about this marine geoscience course, I would advice you please take the English test just as your fellow applicant did, you are not a native speaker unless you want to tell me you are British or American or probably Canadian etc. I don't know how many persons who applied for this course and how many they are willing to take. But to be on a safer side, pls take the test and submit your results as soon as possible.

Moreover, if you have other admissions you are expecting, try to follow up as well to know if there are documents you didn't submit. Plz don't give anything to chance. It's well my brother. God's grace in all.

There seems to be no specific order in arranging the documents as usually directed by Mr Paulinus. Just as been advised here, please don't staple the TWO photocopies of your documents as Pauly won't be patient with you while detaching them, cos he will practically shout at you and that might tense your mood for the day.

All you need do is staple the application form and any other documents with more than one page such as your CV, fintiba opening confirmation etc. Better use an office clip to attach the picture to one of the application form, let them use a staple if they need do.

As regards the arrangements, arrange the photocopies at the back of every original document so that you will just bring it out instantly when needed. cos you will be asked to place it as follows, original, photocopy, photocopy.

it's possible your mail must have gotten to its different destinations. Nipost tracking does not work effectively. Same thing happened to me last year. You need to mail the schools to confirm if it has gotten to them so that your mind can be at rest at least.

Most of the officials will be quite busy considering the volume of applications they receive, Look for the official responsible for receiving documents and send a mail to him or her. All the very best.

Hello, what if if I book with a block account but I appear at the interview with my sponsorship letter. I'm actually using a sponsorship letter but because I've not gotten an admission, my aunt has not been able to go request for the sponsorship letter. I'm sure I will get the letter before my interview date which will likely be in August if I book before the end of the month because I'm hopeful I will get an admission by next week. I taught about this idea cos I felt the process of getting the letter will take a while, I don't want interview date to finish on my head o because of what happened last year. This is quite daisy. why not encourage your aunt to fund your account instead. I think it's far better to be on a safer side than to regret later.

From my little understanding, though I stand to be corrected I think the embassy and also the auslanderbehorde (foreign office) have noticed that people do abuse the purpose for which the sponsorship letter is being given, guess you know what I mean. A lot of things are happening this days and we Nigerians can be very funny when it comes to issues with foreign laws.

Times are changing so do systems as well, for a VO to advice me and even plead me not to try it seems there's something he knows which I probably don't.

For peeps who used SL last winter and even this summer or better still our old veterans should pls help us touchlight the matter for better understanding. happy Sunday

A very beautiful morning to you all. Pls for those who intend to use sponsorship letter, it will be in your best interest to submit it as proof of finance while booking for interview, that's to say make sure you get it done and dusted before applying for an interview, and just as someone rightly stated here pls make sure you know every nitty gritty about the person sponsoring you, even the stuffs you feel is irrelevant.

If you submit any of the bank account opening confirmation, then be sure to fund your account according. Pls am saying this cos of any possible rejection to avoid stories that touch. They seem to frown at the unusual practice as the VO interviewing me kindly warned me against it and adviced me not to try it at all.

The reasons I advised against stapling photocopies of your documents is because you will end up getting yourself worked up on that day trying to detach the staple from the documents one after the other and Pauly might not be that patient with you if there are several others waiting outside. cheers.

Be careful not to face a rejection, I was advised by the visa officer interviewing me not to try it one bit. if you must use block account since it seems like time is running, then tell the person you have over there to simply fund your account. pls take precaution.

27,500 naira, but plz go with something above this due to fluctuations in foreign exchange to be on a safer side. cheers

just finished typing a detailed transcript of my interview, but it disappeared as I posted it, just don't understand why. Anyway the interview went well with no much quizzing. Was attended to by visa officer 4, a cool young guy. Questions were basically about my bsc, it's relationship with the present msc am going for, what I have been doing after graduation from the University, questions about what I know about Germany, why the course, why study in Germany against USA, Canada etc, funding issues, asked me hope I don't intend using sponsorship letter after presenting block account opening confirmation and adviced I fund with the block account. seems they are not at home with this anymore. I don't really know why. my marital status, my plans after graduation etc.

Pls try as much as possible to carry every documents you used for schooling. I was asked to provide my bachelors certificate even after presenting my transcript.

Omo, the Messing up of the documents was as a result of me stapling the photocopies when I need not to. sorting them out became a problem as I have to detach them individually, I just have to play calm and bother less about his rantings. But his a nice guy, just want us to adhere strictly to his orders. it all went well for me as well as I wasn't even quizzed so much to my greateat surprise. Arrived Bonny Camp by 5:00 after leaving Sangotedo, after Ajah by 4:30 am. Didn't feel like going to stand while queuing, so I went to a branch of my place of work to relax. Got back to the embassy by 6:15. Met some 12 people on the queue already. You know how it is na, my body begin dey scratch me. That passport wey I talk say I no go do, I go do am o. I paid 1k for it. Got back to my queue by 6:35.

Paulinus landed. Silence in the land. He'd asked all of us to bring out our documents. Mind you, he does that batch by batch. 4 per batch.
One guy allowed the screaming get to him, he was just messing his documents up. Guys nothing bad about the man. Get all your documents right, act smart, dress smart and you gonna be fine, trust me.

I scaled all of that and went in to do my biometrics by 7:25(did that at the first office as soon as security guys scan you for metal objects). Done with biometrics and in my mind, this Nigerian lady should tell me where to go and do my interview, that was when I received my rude shock.

VO: Let's begin the interview
Me:How and why(All in my mind o. Cos I been think say them go carry me go inside na, meet that my favorite German lady to interview me, una wey know sabi wetin i dey yarn na.....lol)

VO: You learnt the language.
Me: Learning by self via YouTube and other online materials

VO: Funded?
Me: Yes.

VO: Master or Bachelor's
Me: Masters

VO: Course
Me: Economic Policy

VO: Why Germany
Me: bla bla bla

VO: Why not USA or Canada
Me: usual answer na. Premium edu at a cost that doesn't break bank or wallet

VO: Why this course
Me: told her

VO: Tell me what you know about Germany.
Me: Told her a lot and was hoping she'd stop me, she didn't o. Na him I stop o

VO: That all you know?
Me: Yes

VO: B.Sc Thesis topic
Me: Told her

VO: Tell me your findings about your thesis
Me: Told her. She had to stop me as she was inputting all of my answers

VO: That will be all
Me: Nibo!!! So fast. No be two hours una dey use. Wetin happen to other questions like tell me about your modules etc. 30 minutes never complete sef(All in my mind o)

So that was it. I give God the glory cos I wasn't found wanting in any of the areas I was asked and it indeed was a success by God's grace.

P.S-I didnt go with my transcript. When Pauly was asking for it, I did as if I had it. My point is, be smart. Don't be exposing your self and be telling him everything you didn't bring. All in all, carry everything OK.

Thanks to all the good guys who made their transcripts available for novice like myself to use to prepare. That's why am giving back to the society that gave to me when I was in need of guidance

pls I beg you, if you have it include it to avoid stories that touch. if you read down the requirements, you will see where they requested for waec scratch card, what do you think they need it for if not for the same waec you are asking for. Remember they also said additional information may be required based on Individual application. if you have NECO in its place, you could also use it. It's possible they may demand for both your transcript and the waec at the same time. Don't leave anything to chance as incomplete documents leads to rejection. All the very best.
