1) Due to the current IT revolution going on everywhere, is it advisable to still go for a Master's in Agriculture or I should start a 2nd degree in IT course.

2) Having in mind that I intend to migrate with the hope of not coming back here. How certain/sure is employment in Germany after graduation.

Am just thinking of the best approach to this questions of yours. But let me use myself as an example before talking of other possible options.

I also have a B.Agric like you but in soil science and currently admitted for an masters degree in Geomatics. That actually have been what I wanted immediately I finished from the University cos I have a proper understanding of what it entails and am also passionate about it.

I don't know what your discipline is as you didn't state such here, but however you need to know what you want to do, cos passion is paramount nevertheless.

As regards agriculture, I believe food being one of the basics needs of man cannot be overlooked anywhere in the world. I understand Germany thrives more on technology, but nevertheless they will still have prospects for agriculture even though they are not really the best in Europe so to speak, but they are the manufacturers of the popular John Deere tractors. So invariably there should be some prospects nevertheless.

To the best of my knowledge, you need to provide your first degree certificate together with a letter of English language proficiency ie a letter from either your department or registrar to show that your undergraduate studies was basically taught in English language.

It's a bit confusing at times when the Germans express some things in English language, of course you know its not their language. And moreover Germans like you to provide proof of almost everything you claimed to have achieved over the years, to which their statement clearly defines.

Your questions seemed to be ignored somehow cos you actually gave a little information about what your program entails. I am telling you this so that you will be aware so you don't think people here don't care.

I don't know what program in Germany will demand such, but as you can see a lot of us here are working towards getting quality education with little or no tuition. So why is your own different, is there something you're not getting or is there some other things you are not telling us.

Sorry I really don't know you, probably you have more than that amount at your disposal for you to tow that line. Am sorry to burst your bubble, see that money they mentioned, you will definitely spend more than that for that short program of yours. Are you shocked you better don't be. There are some other cost aside this.

Most of the times, the delay is usually from the aliens office, so if you're not getting any reply from next week, quickly email your aliens office. Or tell your program coordinator if he is disposed, they can help reach the aliens office to hasten the process.

Hello all, I'm still on page 357; trying not to miss important information as I pour through the thread. I commend the contributors, its been quite fascinating and revealing.

I decided to opt for Deutschland after been shown sweet love twice at the US embassy last year for two different semesters with multiple admissions & tuition waivers (even with a promise of graduate assistantship which I understand isn't the same as already having the offer at hand)

Like I mentioned earlier I poured through the thread, I've been to Daad.de, uni-assist and to respective prospective schools' websites. I've been able to shortlist 8 schools and I've submitted an application to one already (online).

Here's my challenge; i'm using Uni-assist for five schools whose portals for winter applications are not yet available hence I don't have access to their applications to be able to print them as a supporting document for certification at the embassy. I've only been able to print one and I need to certify at least three sets of documents. Can I go to the embassy with one school's signed application form and expect them to certify more than one set of documents? I'm ready to go on Monday if I can get a reply to this. I've come to understand that time is very essential when it comes to German applications and I'd very much like to be on the timely side.

since you are applying for winter, and i think a good number of the schools are yet to commence, I will advice you chill first. Now take some time to check out what each school demands as it regards certification of documents, write them down to avoid mistakes, then make adequate plans. Moreover monitor when admission will commence and send yours as quick as possible. some schools give admissions on rolling basis.

madam, FUTO and their many wahala. it's well, I understand what you seem to be going through. Do you know what, use another tactics to get what you want.

Now this is it, send your transcript to either poly nekede or imsu or even alvan, depending on the one you can easily have access to. It will be as though you are applying to these schools for a job or masters. Go to the department you are sending it to, meet the HOD, explain to him or her what your mission is and let them know you will come to pick it up as soon as it is forwarded to them. But make sure you follow it up at FUTO biko, if possible grease their palms to help you facilitate it sharp sharp.

After getting it, photocopy it, then certify the photocopies you have. Take note each page must be stamped and signed.

Now back to the crux of the matter. I would like you to take the following decisive actions.

*Identify schools that offer your course of interest or related fields of study

** whether there are restrictions or not in its admission process, apply as much as you can. Infact apply as many programs as possible.

***Take time to write a powerful letter of motivation for each of this different courses. Check out for samples online and modify it to suit your situation. Remember no plagiarism. Use words specific to your discipline and your situation.

**** Boost your resume with good work experience.

***** If you have any published journal to your name or with any other colleagues of yours or even your lecturer, pls kindly include them

prepare and send the documents early enough, as some schools do give admissions on a rolling basis ie more like on a first come first serve basis.

Above all, pray before sending each documents to Germany and ask God to go ahead of you to touch the heart of the lectures and admission officers.

Begin to prepare your mind in anticipation for the blessings you are going to receive. How He will do it is not your business, allow God to finish the job for you. Them say person wey God dey fight for no dey comot shirt.

Simply begin to act in faith and dispel every fears by reading and preparing yourself for the course you are to study, and moreover German language courses for easy integration. And also preparing your Block account money.

NB: You know say devil no dey sleep. He will come in different subtle ways by putting you on the line. He will roll out those schools wey go give you rejections first carry shine for your face. Then laugh and wink at you. But in all, hold on to your faith and make bold confessions.

It's very unfortunate a good number of peeps here are after what they can get from this thread. Asking personal questions all for their consumptions. Sending different persons PM all for their personal stuffs. Asking both relevant and irrelevant annoying questions.

I want to ask the summer applicants, where are your interview transcripts, where are your contributions in lifting off weights of confusion from newbies. Didn't you read from the previous sets before you how they gladly threw in their transcripts and contributions and timely advice. Is it all about what you can get from the system.

Some of you are already asking when you are to receive the golden mail ie AM and when you are going to get your visas. I am not saying you shouldn't ask either, but my point is what have you contributed so far so good. Is it all about give me, give me, give me. what have you done to help that sister or brother who apparently appears so confused and dejected.

When you read previous post before you probably emerged, you will see wonderful contributions from people. For example, someone brought the information about emirates airline student promo for Nigerian students and how to go about it, which of course benefited so many people. Someone also came up with Turkish airline discounts being cheaper for peeps travelling to the hinterland such as Berlin, Hamburg, Bremen etc and even Frankfort as well. Some other persons also came up ideas on how to unravel issues as it relates to travel insurance. Some other persons came up with suggestions on how to search for accommodation.

I know some of you will insult me in your minds or vocally after reading this, while some will be busy justifying their actions, massaging their personal ego, insulting people and branding people with negative image. But you know what I honestly don't give a damn about your opinions or whatever you think about me.

Someone rightly said the Indians and Chinese have gone steps ahead of us cos they helped in uplifting one another, sharing information with each other and giving out valuable tips, of course they also worked individually too. Where are we going as a nation with this type of mind sets.

Selfish tendencies have taken our sense of reasoning and be cloud our sense of judgement as well.

I can't categorically tell you what they will ask you as I haven't applied for such program. But as to what you might expect, I think you should focus very well on the contents of the masters program, a bit of your undergrate program and how it relates to this course, an explanation of your final year project, your motivation for applying for this program, what you understand about the software development in global terms, what influenced your decision for applying for this program, how will this program help to shape your future ambitions ie how best will you benefit if you enroll for the program. etc.

just get a declaration of age from the court, you don't need to bother yourself about the different pictures. All they need is just the information contained in the age declaration.

if you can get your primary school testimonial, I think you can make due with it. some persons here somehow didn't get it during last years application, but you might be lucky as well. But in all, you just have to be very swift and smart about it when called upon by oga paulinus. Don't fret at all, just be calm, and smart about it when he calls for document arrangements.
