Removing subsidy 100% became a problem as we have now found out. Painfully is that fact that subsidy removal was a simply pronouncement that we have all found incorrect. Gradual phasing out as stated by Obi would have been better for all. It was clear that Obi’s steps would have helped the country: - subsidy removal in phases - tackle insecurity - return farmers to their farms to avoid food crisis as presently experienced - fix the refineries - end of petroleum products scarcity BAT took the harder route putting the cart before the horse. He said that he was possessed by a spirit and here we are. - farmlands dominated by terrorists - farmers cannot return to their farms - Fulani terrorists threatening Hausa farmers not to return to their farms. - food crisis - dollar exchange out of control - refineries a long way to restart, etc. |
In these difficult times, government must provide alternatives for citizens. Building inappropriately is wrong, but with the economic crisis at hand, what can the people do? No jobs. Not t/fare. No food. No shishi in the pocket. Insecurity everywhere. Destruction without alternatives will lead to more troubles please. |
numericalguy:Na im be say you no know Oshiomole well and you no follow am well. With his own mouth, Oshiomole said it that he is a tailor. With no university degree as of his employment date at Arewa textile mills, he was not a senior staff. He rose to that level after some years and active unionism. Being a tailor hide not affect his quality of life. He rose to the highest level of unionism, became a governor and presently a senator of the federal republic. His example: start little. Start someone. Work hard. Be conscientious. Be focused. The top waits for you. |
flokii:Stop disgracing yourself, lazy youth. People like you voted out of stupidity and complete foolishness, thinking that you were punishing Obj. Today, you are the beggars going around for transport fares and food after voting for someone who after all the years was never ready. Why not tell us about the poverty level in Osun, Oyo, Ekiti, Ogun and Ondo states? What did the governors who served at the time of Obi do to reduce the massive poverty index in those states? “Na statistics we go chop”, yet all you do, all of you, is to use statistics to confuse yourselves. |
senatordave1:Akpakomiza Mr. Follow follow, how can you not read their plans, to enable you hold them accountable for their actions? If we go by your choice, we will be led astray. As we speak, you do it understand what manifestos are and what they are intended for. As we speak, I have been waiting for over two weeks for the you to tell us where Obaseki went wrong in details. You have failed woefully. How can you know the way forward when you do not even know your situation and position? Give us the antecedents of Okpebolo and plans of APC to surpass Obaseki in Edo state, if you ever can. |
eldoradoxx:Where is the sense in “paying back” by voting for a candidate who will move the state and the same citizens backwards? In nine years of APC, are Nigerians not presently singing the songs of woe? If they choose Okpebolo on the basis of sentiments, just so to deal with Obaseki, who will be at the receiving end of pain and misery? Them or Obaseki? Look at the plans of the candidates, read their manifestos, ask questions about competence, check character and integrity, cast your vote correctly. |
So let’s hope that he can make his contribution to the growth of Edo state, just like any of the other candidates. All our country needs are men if proven character. Integrity must be uppermost. Corruption in all fronts should be opposed and made away with. Education is important, but we find that our leaders use education as a tool to get up power, cheat the electorate of their hard earned votes and corruptly enrich themselves. Edo state is full of resources, great potentials, people and centuries long culture. Edo state needs a governor who can build on the efforts of Obaseki and removing the unnecessary. In all, we must thank Obaseki for his efforts and giving hope to the great people of Edo state. Governance is a process and continuity is the mark. Just like he continued from Oshiomole, I sincerely hope that the next eight years would not be wasted by the next governor. I also hope that the citizens will “shine their eyes” as they vote for the next person to move the state forward. |
But criminal men have been found wearing hijabs and long gowns, concealing their weapons. In that instance, how can the security agencies find our? How can the security agencies separate the criminals from the honest ladies, if searches like these are not conducted? |
Right or wrong? “Desperate power seekers with empty promises”. Yes or no? Remember APC promises in 2014? Remember APC promises in 2019? Remember APC promises in 2023? All promises na lie. Dollar to exchange at 200, now at 1612 after almighty floating? Petrol now at 1,200 after false subsidy? Now transport prices unbearable. Many have joined the trekkers association of Nigeria. You can only join bicycle association if you have bicycles. You cannot afford to change children’s schools. Children school bus fee off the roof. Bag of rice @81K APC wetin we do una? If you cannot show mercy to the Nigerians who did not vote for you, please show mercy to the ones who voted for you. Everyone goes to the same market. |
senatordave1:Yes it is hard. I never told you of my support for any of the candidates. I only asked you tell us exactly what what Obaseki wrongly did. Is that hard, Akpakomiza? |
senatordave1:I guess you must be the same person writing with the Akpakomiza moniker. Your response, writing and English gave you away. Akpakomiza, why do you keep dodging the request? When will you state in details how Obaseki failed? Why do you just follow the crowd, with capability to forward facts to back your claims? Is that not a typical bribe for votes thinking of some of you who blindly follow politicians? We are not talking of football matches here, but your present and future, just like reasonable Nigerians who demand proper societies and leadership. Demand for good governance. Demand to live in a proper society. Demand quality leadership with your vote. |
senatordave1:Do you see why I asked you to have a little Shane at least? So to your understanding, Obaseki is the candidate to vote out? So to your understanding, Obaseki is the PDP candidate? Get small shame na. If in all these days, weeks and months you have not specifically addressed Obaseki’s areas of failure, shame on yasef. If you cannot talk about the contestants directly, that is; Ighodalo, Okpebolo, Akpata, etc, stating their strengths/weaknesses, advantages/disadvantages, then you simply are a follow follow man. |
senatordave1:If you have a little shame, you should vote out incompetent leaders who you eulogize here. With the very woeful performance of APC at and the endless economic misery inflicted on Nigerian citizens, you should be ashamed to tell ask for votes for APC nationwide. |
meum:Hahaha. Meanwhile I am still waiting for Akpakomiza’s response to my request. |
Akpakomiza2:Stop playing yourself wayo. You are in the business of de-marketing PDP and its candidate. In order to achieve your objective, you gave the business, absolutely, of telling us his areas of failure, with evidence. That’s the only way that you can get voters behind your APC candidate. You have been dilly dallying for days on end. If you have facts, let us know without delay. |
meum:Unfortunately he cannot do that. Na follow follow. He cannot tell you what Obaseki did wrongly in comprehensible ways. E go school at all? |
Akpakomiza2:Akpakomiza, I am still waiting to hear from you. |
Crimecity:Guy did not know that his name had been flagged at the US embassy in Nigeria, otherwise he would have kept away. After refusing him visa in 2017, the granted the request so that they would get him there. Certainly he was a wanted man by the EFCC. Only time mattered as he would have been arrested even in Nigeria. The said Olayeye eventually “yeyed” himself. |
phorget:Join the trekkers association of Nigeria (TSA). Go back to trekking! |
yarimo:So na English hard you so? “a Millionaires and billionaires..”. Ahhhhhh! Bros, writing in your local language is not an offence. It does not contradict any know law(s), I believe. Stop disgracing yasef. |
Gave himself seven years for attempted murder. Freed the woman to enjoy any man of her choice. Victim must learn from this and avoid sleeping around with other people’s women. If there is any other time, he may not be lucky to escape with his life. |
jiz:Sure. Nothing more to it. They used Shettima’s cover as the VP and that made sense for them all. |
That’s the only way to guarantee safety for all of them. They all chose that day and the federal government provided security using all the structures of security to ensure their safety while in Katsina state. It shows how bad the security situation around that state is. |
Akpakomiza, how is it that since two weeks, you gave not been able to state specifically what areas that Obaseki failed? Are you lacking information? |
efighter:Infact his statement was filled with contradictions. He’s laid his hands on the power sector and just like the diesel business, the power sector is in comatose. |
Aside aside from politics, what was his own path to wealth? |
lailo:“…after all former presidents have all tried and failed”. Looking at your above words once again, can you say that your living standard is better now under Tinubu, than other Presidents who tried and failed? |
lailo:One question: Is your standard of living better now with BAT as your President, compared to a little over one year ago? |
No news from Akpakomiza? Edo state needs the likes of Governor Mbah, Alex Otti, who with their little resources are able to make good impacts on the people. I expect PDP to improve on the forward driven policies of Obaseki. Edo state has large swaths of farm lands in the rural areas that remain inaccessible to transport. I hope Asue can improve on that, by building goods roads that connect that rural areas with the urban areas of the state. On the issue of insecurity, I hope better efforts can be made to arrest the trend of herdsmen violently raping, maiming and killing citizens on their farms in the state, Obaseki has contributed his quota to the development of his state. Hopefully Asue can move Edo state to the next level of development. |
First we say thank you Lord Jesus. Next we say thank you Jesus for using the young man, Brain Jotter to remember Gentleman Mike Ejeagha. Next we say thank you to Brain Jotter for this great thing done to Gentleman Mike Ejeagha. Thank you Brain Jotter for this little but mighty job. Thank you to Governor Mbah. Thank you to Enugu people. Just as Brain Jotter did this good, may God send good people to him also and fill him with blessings and love. |
Richtaiwo:What about the legs, hands, head, stomach? |
WriterNig:And yet in your country, the dollar holds sway over the naira. Everyday you look out for what the exchange rates hold with abokis like you. And given the option of residing either in the USA or China/Russia/Turkey/Iran, you will quickly beg to relocate to the USA. The reason being that the USA is where you can find freedom to express yourself and live a very decent life. With your badmouth, you will struggle, beg, visit shrines of native doctors, fast and pray for 40 days to be given the USA visas, so that you can run away from wherever you are. Oga no lie for yasef abeg. |
