The only people useful to a very troubled Nigeria today are those able to note, applaud and support what is progressive and developmental for Nigeria regardless of who is delivering such.

I believe that the project would be of immense benefit to citizens around Amuwo, Ojo and Badagry. A friend of mine was sick with intestinal twist six years ago around Okokomaiko. Because the little private clinic could not carry out the surgery, he was given an option to be referred to either Badagry General Hospital or Igando General Hospital. Thinking that Badagry would be better, his family chose it and he was taken there. Sadly, the hospital could not do admit him and he lost his life. Igando General Hospital is far better than Badagry General Hospital. With such a project located in Ojo, citizens would benefit from it and surely lives would be saved.

Rather than look at the advantage of such a project, the fellow was looking at the negative side. A quick investigation of the fellow would expose him as a crook, while he is quick to label others looters.

For me, political leadership must be used as a tool to build infrastructures and make societies and citizens lives better. If we have leaders of such manner that do what we want, irrespective of political parties and affiliations, we must support them.

When leaders do what we expect, we must appreciate. That’s why they are elected. The entire Ojo and Badagry do not have good hospitals. Patients need to run to either Igando general hospital, Apapa, LASUTH, Ikeja or private hospitals. You can go and verify. Those who require specialist care within those axis end up with sad losses. If that hospital can meet certain vital needs of the people, then the governor needs commendation.

By the way, hearsay without evidence is a serious offence. Such rumors as you help to spread can land you in jail. Mind your words.

Without passports? No problem. Country of origin is determined on arrival when travel documents are checked and cleared. Throw away the passport? No problem. Finger prints are used to determine name and details. Once all those are cleared, the immigrant is sent back to his country of origin. If the lost passport is fake or with fake nationality, the immigrant is returned to the originating country.

Since the US airplanes are not permitted to land with the deported persons, they will be returned to holding facilities in the USA and badly treated. That’s far more dehumanizing.

Much as the actions of the present administration of Trump are harmful and painful, South American governments must fix their own countries and stop the miles long human trains pushing to get into the USA. That also goes for other countries and their leaders. Fix your country, fix your economy.

Even though the Americans stand to lose a lot in terms of labour, there is a certain feeling of threat to their existence that they possibly want to checkmate.

Some Asians whose citizens daily flock to the USA never grant citizenship to people of other countries. The same goes for some middle eastern countries. Trump’s decision to make America great again must not only be viewed from the selfish angle. With the recent experiences from extremist groups in the USA, if making his country safer and better would work for him and his supporters, so be it.

For us Nigerians, it is time to fix our country. We must ensure that we have leaders with integrity and clear intentions to make our societies better. Capital flight for example, must be discouraged with better wages and infrastructures must be fixed. We must ensure nationwide security and food sufficiency. That’s the way great countries were made in the first place.
