While politicians are busy decamping and waste fully aligning, Obaseki is bringing development to the grassroots, as required by the citizens. This is a great leap forward for the beneficiaries. These are the people expected to vote on the day. They will take the message to their families, who will stand on queues on the day. They are the ones who will carry the message of continuity for PDP, beyond Obaseki’s tenure. Well done to Obaseki for this people oriented programme. |
rickleye:Ok sir! |
GanagiBitrus:Is it a secret that our security forces are under equipped and under funded? |
GanagiBitrus:Again if the necessary equipments are not in place, how can they achieve it? If the funds are not made available, what can be done? |
Fire4fireNL:Have you followed the stories of top APC members, with regards to cases of fraud and embezzlement of public funds? Have you forgotten that the present chairman and the one before him have been accused of corruptly enriching themselves? Have you not read how Obi called for a forensic auditing of the accounts of LP? Have you not read of how the campaign funds were audited and accounted for? Please read wide and seek information. What we demand is a just and equitable nation. We are asking for a decent society, with proper infrastructures to make life livable for all. We ask for accountability and not rogues, who loot public funds and ask us to be patient. They are found in all the parties. Let’s get the right people into positions of power, using our PVCs and have respectable country. |
sIfioksq:Which three people did he talk about? Which three people are you talking about? With such inability to read and understand, how can you address others as “clueless”, when you have exhibited the complete traits of cluelessness? |
GanagiBitrus:It sounds so simple to you, but it is not. Bandits are not that easy to pick up. Or do you want to try a security job? |
TheCeasar:- Is your Oba not his Oba? You cannot be holier than the Pope. Obaseki has very strong following in Edo south, which is his area. - Shuaibu fought him. Shuaibu knew that power would go to Edo central after so many years. Obaseki was the person who initiated the talk of power going to Edo central after his tenure. What was Shuaibu’s business with contesting? That was greed and the two of them never negotiated it. Shuaibu should have continued with his boss, Oshiomole. If he was a strong person in Edo north, why was he roundly trounced in 2023? - The Governor is the party leader in the state. PDP handed the party to him, with trust and confidence to deliver Edo state in 2019. He did it. Without that APC would have retained the state. It therefore behoved those that he met to cooperate. Obaseki complained severally that those who welcomed him were not making life easy for him. - What has speaking the language contributed to making our country better? You have a Nigerian coach for the super eagles and you abuse him. You have a white man and you trust him to deliver. No be juju be that? If the man can deliver, speaking Ishan is simply sentimental. Those who have spoken their languages have ruined their states. - If you say four years and no development, then you are being economical with the truth. The civil service in Edo state has never had it so good. Truthfully the roads may match your expectations, but what about other legacies like: - Healthcare reforms - Educational advancement - Industrialization - Development of youths and sports - Promotion of free enterprise - Edo Basic Education Transformation (Edo BEST) program - Revamping of the Government Science and Technical College - Establishment of the Edo State Investment Promotion Office (ESIPO) - Contribution to the fight against human trafficking and illegal migration - Reconstruction of the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium - Attraction of $500 million worth of investment into the state through the Edo State Oil Palm Programme (ESOPP), etc? Do not forget that in 2019, almost the entire cabinet decamped to APC. They were roundly defeated, even at short notice with Obaseki as a new entrant into PDP. By the way, are you people not ashamed of APC and its nine years of monumental failure? I am not a supporter of PDP, but I know that Obaseki will leave Edo state with his head held high. |
GanagiBitrus:Before the news went public, police had done the needful with getting details from the suspects. |
Even with this advanced warning, nothing would be done to protect the community. |
heIinue:No wonder you are poorly rated here and seriously abused. With a complete inability to contribute to serious political, economic or social issues, you need to shut your mouth and learn. You need to stop displaying such high level of ignorance and lack of proper education. At least display some level of shame when you comment here. |
Chrisrare:Carry bad luck mouth comot for this side. Nothing go ever wrong with the marriage. |
OkpaNsukkaisBae:Japan is a sovereign nation and is considered a regional power in Asia. It has one of the largest economies in Asia and is a major player in regional affairs, exerting significant political, economic, and cultural influence. Japan's military is also one of the most advanced and capable in the region, with a significant presence in the Asia-Pacific. Until the second world war destruction of Nagasaki and Hiroshima, the Japanese were militarily very powerful. Nothing has diminished, except abiding by the agreements ending the second world war. Japan's regional power status is reflected in its: - Economic influence: Japan is a leading trade partner and investor in many Asian countries. - Political leadership: Japan plays a key role in regional organizations like the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the East Asia Summit (EAS). - Military capabilities: Japan's Self-Defense Forces are a formidable military power in the region. - Cultural influence: Japanese culture, technology, and innovation have a significant impact on the region. However, Japan's regional power status is also subject to challenges and limitations, including: - Rivalry with China: Japan's relationship with China is complex and often tense, with competing interests and territorial disputes. - North Korean threat: Japan is vulnerable to North Korea's military provocations and nuclear threats. - Dependence on US alliance: Japan's security relies heavily on its alliance with the United States. Overall, Japan's regional power status is significant, but it must navigate complex regional dynamics to maintain its influence and security. |
Jayhome24:Surely you failed your English exam. By the way, did you not notice that you sounded like the animal with your comment? |
Dbegining:Thank you very much for this response. |
helinues:Did your own comment sound coherent? Or you did not read before posting it? If you commented without your usual cheekiness or derailing, no one would respond to you that way. |
SavageResponse:Ex girlfriends too far. What about some on this forum? Jealousy, anger and bitterness too much. That wedding cake alone wey dem no see eat, no sleep for dem eyes again. |
jubrilELsudan:Even the most stupid is far better than you with your hate filled comment? |
Antoeni:Jealousy bad o. Even the Davido who invited those that he called his friends, across all tribes, was very happy that they made his day very lovely. He’ll look at the videos and forever be grateful for all those who graced the occasion, whether big or small. There was nothing like tribalism in the marriage. Na una carry am for social media. Dem no spend your money. Dem no invite you. You no be their family. You no be their friend. You no dey show business. Yet na you dey vex. Bros dem no dey take vex get money or friends wey get money. You do not know Nkwerre. You do not know the exact date that the bride price was paid. You do not know why the families preferred Lagos. You did not wonder why the occasion was not done in Osun state, where the young man comes from. Na bitterness you carry for soul. Davido gifted his wife a car, e no reach you. He gave his wife a diamond ring, the cost of three Rolls Royce cars, e no reach you. They will fly in their private jet to a honeymoon, you no go follow. Bros wetin dey pain you inside? If Imo state lost revenue, what happened to Osun state? Why e pain you so. You are calculations loss for another person pocket, according to you. How much you contribute put inside? Bros you be wizard o. Transformer near you so? You fit hold am mistakenly thinking say na human being you hold. Where is the punishment, Mr. Financial Adviser? Where is the self inflicted punishment? This comment is the most dangerous example of jealousy here today. Rejoice with those who rejoice, so that others can rejoice with you when you rejoice. |
jubrilELsudan:Poverty why, why why? Poverty why you keep this fellow like this? Poverty can you ever leave this fellow? Poverty why you take jealousy as your best friend? Bros poverty want to finish your life o. Poverty why you let a whole man dey talk like this? You called him “AN ORDINARY GUEST”? Did you hear that the invitation was extended to suffer head people? Ok. Why you wey no be ordinary no reach there? Ordinary yet the invitation was put at 10m each? Na wah. |
seunmsg:Added to that was the possibility that he was more competent than those ahead of him. They were sure that he could do a better job and better defense when questions were asked. Again people should know their limits health wise and can I add the word spiritual? May the family be comforted. It is such a sad loss of possibly one of the best officers in the customs service. |
Samakus:Odiekpe is not a village in the sense that you put it. Traversing a vast stretch of road and bordering the River Niger, it is quite a large community, with respected citizens home and abroad. The school is actually a privately owned one, but long due for rehabilitation by the family of the former owner Chief Ede. It’s quite a spacious compound, directly facing the river at Okoti, Odiekpe. That’s a good gesture by Ezeobi. I hope more citizens of Odiekpe can copy this and do something great for their citizens. Most importantly is the issue of the road. I hope the federal government can come to the aid of the people, just as we have been asking the FG or Delta state government to do something about tge Oko community by the head bridge, Asaba. Thank you very much to a Zobis. |
Music until daybreak. Enjoyment and honeymoon with the children for days to come. |
RealityKings:Weddings are held everyday except Sundays. People prefer Saturday because the day is free and crowds are expected. Typically our people like owambe. Choose any day of the week that you like and enjoy your day. By the way, this wedding should have cost the Adelekes between 10 and 20 m in USD. |
And the celebrations of the political class knows no tribe, religion or party affiliation. Meanwhile ordinary Nigerians have sleepless night, stand on long queues in the sun, fight and kill themselves, collect pittances to vote them into power. Once in power, the ordinary people continue to wallow in their poverty, while being asked to be patient. Congratulations to Davido and Chioma today. This is truly the wedding of class. |
Houseontherock1:Underlying medical condition is it. He was not fit to appear before the NASS members, but they would not believe him, if he informed them of his poor health. What a pity. |
In a country where fraud is uncontrollable, so to speak. It means that the accounts of the wealthiest in this country are not safe. Why not put a stop to this NIN and device other things to do? They ask you for identification and you ask which one is preferred out of your NIN, PVC, BVN, Passport, driver’s license, etc. We have too many identification methods and one wonders the purpose of them all. Now we have again been told that there is a three in one. Is it not that these ID things are veritable sources of reaping off the public and embezzling funds? |
LBanks:The person that you quoted, what did he mean by “political big boys”? Please ask him how his so called “political big boys” made life better for him and those around him. Anyway, thank you for your comment. |
kedeojo:That’s in the realm of probability. When you become the governor, you become the chief accounting officer. You are held responsible for your state. I am of the belief that even if Wike did not have that issue with him, something would have given way somehow. Again, when you are in power, be very careful about how many enemies you make. You may be the governor today, but you become powerless like the others who you persecuted while you served. The opportunity to get back at you then presents itself and you can pay dearly. |
Celestialsword:Shame would never allow you to state your profession, as a professional thief. Of all professions, that’s what your vagabond paraga guzzling father bequeathed to you? What a shame. Have you ever heard thieves telling people that they are thieves until they are caught? Hand go soon touch you. |
