While politicians are busy decamping and waste fully aligning, Obaseki is bringing development to the grassroots, as required by the citizens.

This is a great leap forward for the beneficiaries. These are the people expected to vote on the day. They will take the message to their families, who will stand on queues on the day. They are the ones who will carry the message of continuity for PDP, beyond Obaseki’s tenure.

Two things are involved here.

First, if Obi and co decides Abure should go, he (Abure) will burn down both the house (party) and it's occupant (aspirants). The Abure of a guy is desperate. He sure looks like someone that won't go quietly. That is when we will know what exactly happened to all the campaing funds... Don't forget, they talked about auditing their campaign finances. It's almost 18 months after the last election, and almost 30 months to the next election, when will they release how campaing finance was spent? Accountability should be the key word of a party looking to lead the country. We have had transparency and accountability issues with past administrations. If we are going to trust LP with our national purse, they should start by now showing us how they intend to lead the country. What are they going to do different from past administrations of PDP and APC?

Secondly, if Obi and co decides Abure should stay, what message are they passing to Nigerians? Abure has so many baggage to deal with. Fraud and forgery are felony offense. If the party should retain him as the chairman, then LP members and supporters don't have the moral right to criticize the PDP and APC. They are all the same. Just like we have Ganduje as the APC chairman, and PDP at a time had Modu Sherrif as it's chairman...

I think the coming days are going to be really interesting.

There are several other reasons why pdp will loose but this is just a tip

- Is your Oba not his Oba? You cannot be holier than the Pope. Obaseki has very strong following in Edo south, which is his area.

- Shuaibu fought him. Shuaibu knew that power would go to Edo central after so many years. Obaseki was the person who initiated the talk of power going to Edo central after his tenure. What was Shuaibu’s business with contesting? That was greed and the two of them never negotiated it. Shuaibu should have continued with his boss, Oshiomole. If he was a strong person in Edo north, why was he roundly trounced in 2023?

- The Governor is the party leader in the state. PDP handed the party to him, with trust and confidence to deliver Edo state in 2019. He did it. Without that APC would have retained the state. It therefore behoved those that he met to cooperate. Obaseki complained severally that those who welcomed him were not making life easy for him.

- What has speaking the language contributed to making our country better? You have a Nigerian coach for the super eagles and you abuse him. You have a white man and you trust him to deliver. No be juju be that? If the man can deliver, speaking Ishan is simply sentimental. Those who have spoken their languages have ruined their states.

- If you say four years and no development, then you are being economical with the truth. The civil service in Edo state has never had it so good. Truthfully the roads may match your expectations, but what about other legacies like:

- Healthcare reforms
- Educational advancement
- Industrialization
- Development of youths and sports
- Promotion of free enterprise
- Edo Basic Education Transformation (Edo BEST) program
- Revamping of the Government Science and Technical College
- Establishment of the Edo State Investment Promotion Office (ESIPO)
- Contribution to the fight against human trafficking and illegal migration
- Reconstruction of the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium
- Attraction of $500 million worth of investment into the state through the Edo State Oil Palm Programme (ESOPP), etc?

Do not forget that in 2019, almost the entire cabinet decamped to APC. They were roundly defeated, even at short notice with Obaseki as a new entrant into PDP.

By the way, are you people not ashamed of APC and its nine years of monumental failure? I am not a supporter of PDP, but I know that Obaseki will leave Edo state with his head held high.

The DCG is in charge of Finance, Account and technical services of Customs and the Comptroller is in charge of Accounts. In as much as there may be underlying medical condition, the fear of making that presentation triggered his medical condition and ultimately led to his death. The school is actually a privately owned one, but long due for rehabilitation by the family of the former owner Chief Ede. It’s quite a spacious compound, directly facing the river at Okoti, Odiekpe.

That’s a good gesture by Ezeobi. I hope more citizens of Odiekpe can copy this and do something great for their citizens. Most importantly is the issue of the road. I hope the federal government can come to the aid of the people, just as we have been asking the FG or Delta state government to do something about tge Oko community by the head bridge, Asaba.
