Now fear no go let anyone spray money there. If not thatCubana chief priest and co, for scatter everywhere there. Any attempt na EFCC case. I wish them a very joyful and peaceful marriage. A blessed home, into old age in good health, love and joy. Congratulations ahead of tomorrow. |
Celestialsword:Ah. Where will you get the money from? Oh. I noticed that you failed to add your profession. Except by stealing, which is your family’s only source of income, how can you get some money? I believe that you are waiting for the next truck carrying food to hack. Continue with that profession. Hand go soon touch you. |
Celestialsword:You are worse than an olodo for not seeing anything wrong with it. By the way you sound like any of the following: a carpenter a bricklayer a well digger a bus conductor a motor boy a street hawker a layabout or hemp smoker. Fill in the right one. If you cannot, go ahead to tell us. |
Bizibi:Sorry Trademore is not an illegal estate. The residents have their land titles. Built in 2007 and houses handed over to the owners, flooding was not a problem until about 2012, or so. The problem according to FCTA is that some houses were built on the floodplains. There has been a call for the prosecution of the developer of Trademore Estate, for flood diversion, alleging that there was a diversion of the flood plain. Those properties on the floodplain are said not to have approvals by government. Those are the ones in contention in the courts. Again, government officials are alleged not to be honest with their intention of demolishing some of the properties. They are said to be interested to purchase properties there if the original owners are vacated. So trust is another issue, even as the case is in court. Many years ago, the area that became Victoria Iskand extension and partly Lekki, was called Maroko. IBB was the President and a certain Brig Raji Rasaki (deceased) was the administrator of Lagos. He claimed that the area was flood prone, very dirty and uninhabitable. He gave a short notice, mobilized soldiers and men to forcefully evicted the people of Maroko. Immediately after that, the lands were shared among the big men and called Victoria Island extension. That’s Nigerian leaders for you! |
mfm04622:Thank you sir. |
Unbelievable. What a judicial embarrassment. Such a huge disgrace. The bribe taking magistrates. Seeing that they did not have enough, they chose to pilfer funds designated as exhibits. What a shame. The irony is that these same people would have sent petty thieves to prison, with long sentences. |
Spartachizzy:That is it. That’s why she screamed. |
Spartachizzy:That’s why the woman screamed already! |
“ The Certificate of Occupancy of the said hotel was revoked in December 2022 by ex-Governor Nyesom Wike for allegedly hosting a meeting involving associates of the 2023 PDP Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar”. A very vindictive man, this Wike. He developed into a very vicious fellow while in power as the governor. He did not care that employment was swelling in the country, when he sent the workers in the hotel into the job market. While people cry of a horrible economy, Wike added to it with his irresponsible behavior. He used his powers as the governor like an absolute emperor. He openly promised to deal with his enemies, within and without. Infact, he promised to crush them all openly. The same thing he did to Senator Meeba for supporting Atiku. He stands accused of acquiring uncountable properties in Rivers state, leaving one to wonder the source of his humongous wealth. I hope Fubara returns the Cs of O of the several other people who Wike seized their properties. |
Ijaya123:I have followed the Trademore estate story since 2012 and I think that I know it far more than you do. Follow the story and you’ll understand all the perspectives. You’ll also find out the role of government and government officials in the matter. |
DevilsEqual:You must be very uneducated and untrained. |
Celestialsword:Primary school boy, did you not read what was posted in her name on Facebook? How did that sound to you like the words of the woman? If that sounded like good English to you, then your SSCE English examination must be in danger! |
NOETHNICITY:You are then not a student of history. You are not a good reader. Your bias is unnecessary. Aside from the event of October last year, the major reason Israel daily destroys people and infrastructure in Gaza is that almost everyone in Gaza is Hamas. If you will take your time to read wide, you’ll discover that the places where hostage Israelis have been released from are guarded by the so called civilians. The reason for Hamas, is to draw the attention of the international community and speedily facilitate the creation of the state of Palestine. The same goes for Hezbollah. They have no business, except sentiments. When they draw Israel into a war, they fancy their chances, collaborating with Iran, Hamas, PLA and the Houthis of completely destroying Israel. The reason for hiding weapons in civilian areas is the same for Hezbollah just like Hamas. In the end they cause plenty civilian casualties among their people as usual and draw condemnation for Israel. It is unfortunate that this is happening presently. Lebanon is not in an economic condition to go into a full blown war against Israel, caused by Hezbollah. Their economy presently is in tatters. The humanitarian crisis would be difficult to handle, so it is better for Hezbollah to respect themselves. Maybe you do not know. Israel is a nuclear armed nation and will deploy chemical weapons if provoked to act. Iran itself must thread with plenty of caution. Lastly, for those of you who see the war from a religious perspective, please re-focus your lenses. It a battle for ancestral lands for the Palestinians. It is a battle to stay in their own lands by the Israelis. Our prayer is that a two state solution can be reached for peace to reign. Our hope is that those terrorist who deceive others that they fight in the name of their religion, must put an end to it. |
Afrojuju2017:Originally there was no issue when Trademoore estate was handed over to the owners. It appears that human and natural factors make it difficult during the raining seasons now. While many houses have been demolished, other estates developed around had their drainages channeled through that area, causing the hardship. I think Senator Ireti Kingibe got interested in the matter and took it up last year. However without proper coordination and cooperation with Wike, the citizens in that estate will continue to suffer. The two of them want to work, but their political differences, affiliations, interests and ego keep them apart. In all the FG through Wike, should set aside their differences with Senator Kingibe and fix the drainage problems in that estate and the surrounding ones. |
Very poorly written English. She made her comments long ago last year and has never commented again since then. Anyway, Tinubu must find a way to get Nigerians out of hunger and start fulfilling his lofty promises. All the promises since the days of Buhari, have become monumental lies and disgraceful. |
I thought that after their previous experiences, something serious would have been done to save the lives of citizens in that estate. Rather than purchase jeeps that serves only their personal purposes, why not channel the funds to flood prone areas like this? Last year, flooding cost lives and properties. This year the same thing is repeated. It shows that despite voting to get them into power, nothing was done in one year. Again, the disagreement between Wike and Mrs. Ireti Kingibe makes it difficult for them to do something meaningful together in the FCT. Wike dances to the tune of BAT, while Ireti Kingibe appears to dance to her own tune or to the tune of the citizens, even as the FCT senator. |
Yesterday they complained that NULGE was planning to protest and NULGE stopped it. Today they protested. The same people backed by APC want a state of emergency declared in Rivers state. That way APC can attempt to take over Rivers state. I hope the appeal court can do justice to this matter and keep Amaewhule and his group in their respective homes, where they rightfully belong, after decamping from PDP. I also hope that justice can get the now former local government chairmen to return to their homes or proceed to Abuja to reside with Wike. |
magabounce:I take my time to read deep and wide to gain more knowledge everyday. I also ask questions to get better educated. Please practice it too. Do not allow some youths here cost you focus. Do have a very great week. Cheers. |
magabounce:Traditional institutions, such as monarchies and native authorities, have a significant role in the country's cultural and social system. While they have a degree of autonomy, they are still subject to the laws and regulations of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The Nigerian judicial system is responsible for interpreting and upholding the country's laws, including those related to traditional institutions. Therefore, traditional institutions should answer to the Nigerian judicial system in matters related to: 1. Constitutional compliance 2. Human rights violations 3. Criminal cases 4. Disputes with other parties Again it is worthy of note that traditional institutions also have their own customary laws and dispute resolution mechanisms, which should be respected and recognized by the judicial system, where possible. Ultimately, the relationship between traditional institutions and the Nigerian judicial system should be based on mutual respect, cooperation, and a commitment to upholding the rule of law and promoting justice. |
This life. Thank God for this great gesture by Senator Natasha. Thank God the lady did not hide her situation. Thank you Senator Natasha. |
edian:I bet that she was not only supplying weapons, she was also supplying sex. They give arms and pleasure to the same set of people, who in turn visit their villages with complete destruction. They then call on government to rescue them from bandits, part of who they are! What a life. Government must pass laws against these acts and people. Again, I wonder how it is so difficult to wipe off these evil people, who prowl around villages. Rather than spend money purchasing SUVs and building properties in billions for individuals, why not use the funds to provide modern war equipments. Our soldiers are humiliated on the battle field by these non state actors, as they are not properly armed. With such equipment, our military can have real time information and better success with destroying terrorists and bandits nationwide. |
Alex Otti is not campaigning for PDP. Alex Otti is running the state to the best of his ability and trying to match his promises with action in the state. PDP lost that state having taken the people for granted for twenty three years. Orji Uzor Kalu, Thoedore Orji and Ikpeazu, could not place such a great state on the right economic and infrastructural trajectory that it deserves. PDP has a lot of catching up to do, especially now that the state had embraced Labour Party and Alec Otti. Without doubt Alex Otti is showing how proper societies are built. He has projects everywhere that are very visible and encouraging. PDP first must show integrity in the areas where they control and when they get to the center (if possible), they must world hardest. For now Alex Otti has no rival within all the parties in Abia state. |
AllTheWayUp:But Sanusi’s grandfather was Emir, before Bayern’s father. What do you want to say about that? Where the throne is not hereditary, the King makers choose who is appropriate, going by the gods. What do you want to say about that too? |
ChizzyBuna:It is not the job of the Emir or any other King to change the price of petrol or food. It is the job of the citizens and horrible leaders that they appoint. As long as you have embezzlers in places of power, expect life to be horrible. Remember to get your friends to join you in electing credible leaders next time. |
SLS gave a brief narrative of the events that have led to the present tussle in the Kano monarchy. I think the powers given to governors to remove and install governors is absolute and can lead to plenty of trouble. The kings are closer to the people and spend longer periods with the people. Politicians come and go, after spending eight years in office at the most. I wonder how a governor who has just one or two years to go, would remove a King who probably has spent over twenty years on the throne. Worse of all is of that particular King is in good stead with his people. Ganduje knew SLS as a man who would not be cowed. Afterall they made him the Emir to spite GEJ. Whatever the fallout of that, they who made him the King should have managed with him, rather than bring the entire emirates to disrespect, as we presently see. Splitting the Emirates only served a political purpose and there was no need for that. The people were happy and the district heads apparently were happy. Ganduje brought out the truth in the likes of Bayero about power. The present governor had done the right thing by reuniting the Emirate. Even though Bayero is no longer the Emir, he should swallow the shame and embarrassment, just as SLS did and return to his original position. For now SLS is the Emir and it is not envisaged that the Federal high court can remove him. |
flokii:And you did not see the way Wike physically attacked his perceived political enemies? You did see the way he destroyed personal houses and hotels of his perceived enemies, up to a few days to the end of his tenure? You did not see Wike threatening to first of all deal very ruthlessly with his enemies within, then proceed to destroy the ones outside? You did not hear Wike say “I will finish them off”? I wonder why so of you support horrI le leaders who make your societies unhabitable. |
Codepain:Very stupid and irresponsible comment from you. How did you derail from the subject matter to talk about other people who had no business with the matter? Where is the sophistication in the matter? If they were sophisticated in the first place, why the horrible level of intolerance? If they were sophisticated, how would they attack and injure their people who were exercising their freedom and rights? Why not take your sophisticated life to the market place and get rice at fifteen thousand naira per bag? Tribalists like you are the reason why peace eludes your own communities, why your political leaders embezzle you into abject poverty. |
Rightly stated. Once again, it was the right time to change the church to a more glorious and befitting church. |
Asian routes sometimes can be quite turbulent. |
blowjohn:You dis boy na ball we play? You Urhobo boy? Enjoy your Sunday. |
