A big relief for everyone. Odo Iya Alaro particularly has always been an issue with traffic. Government should please help us get danfo drivers off the Eko bridge and its surrounding areas. The traffic caused by them is unbearable. |
Akpakomiza2:Excuse me bro, do not live is self denial and illusion. You seem to deliberately distort history. Tinubu told us the story himself several times. At his now very famous “emi lo kan” declaration in Ogun state, he repeated it. He said that Buhari contested several times and failed. He said that he went personally to Buhari and asked him not to lose hope. He said that he had studied the political barometer and done the arithmetics - borrowing from his friend Okadigbo - and concluded that if he could bring his northern votes, they would add to the Southwest votes, receive the little that they could from the SS and SE for victory. Buhari was not in control of Kano and Adamawa. Those were the jobs of Kwakwanso and Atiku. Were where you then? You see Atiku and Obi teaming up and yet you are talking about one attempting to go it alone. Are you daydreaming? We do not expect such to happen, especially with the time so short. We are not talking of 2015 and beyond. You called them expired, but forgot to tell us that Buhari had completely lost hope and surrendered. Tinubu relief on the anger in the land against PDP and GEJ. He saw the opportunity and capitalized on the disgruntled elements within PDP and the rest. You call Amaechi expired, yet forget the incidences of bombing and heavy shooting credited to Wike’s camp during the election to secure his victory, suppressing opponents with killings to secure victory. The Presidential elections in Rivers state always saw PDP with over one million votes. With all the so called Wike’s “war chest”, in 2023, APC scored less than 300k votes. What do you call that? If Buhari was not expired, what makes you address Atiku as expired? If Buhari by your assumption is still relevant, what makes you think that Atiku is irrelevant? If Tinubu could beg Buhari to bring his northern votes as of 2011 to 2014, what more you think that Atiku cannot take his 2023 votes to 2027? By the way, what make you think that Obi has not retained his political base? Politics as we always know involves patience, calculation, rest and watching out when to move. Those you called expired are bidding their time, as they know that their time will come again. Tinubu after he left the governor’s sit did not give up. He took his time, calculated, formed another coalition as he always does and won in 2014. Maybe if Ganduje joins the coalition after his recent hounding of by APC, you will call him expired too. Maybe if Kwakwanso decamps to APC, as speculated, you will not term him “expired”. Apart from Tinubu and noisy Wike, please mention others who are assert such influence within their states, not to talk of the federal level. The same way Tinubu set up a coalition that was termed solid, you now find a re-emerging opposition. If you say such names as found in that list as expired, then you are simply deceiving yourself. What I perceive is fear in you and an attempt to cover up your very clear fear. |
id4sho:You may call the political thugs, but note that with SASA and Agunechemba, Anambra state is safer. Expect people to disagree with their mode of operation, but ask if touts still operate freely in the parks. |
Very sad. Very painful. Very sorry. Very young family. What a huge loss. May his family be comforted. |
Akpakomiza2:Akpakomiza my friend, wake up and refresh your memory. Buhari was termed expired after he lost to GEJ in 2011. Atiku was termed as expired from 2003 when OBJ benched him and he lost to Yaradua in 2007. El Rufai was termed as noting when he was benched. Amaechi was termed as caged by Wike in 2014. The mentioned and others formed a coalition like this, to unseat a sitting President Goodluck Jonathan. They were termed expired and irrelevant, including your Tinubu. Can you please tell us how it happened? |
Now the coalition has more interested parties and much more formidable people. It has now gained prominence, and has come to stay. APC faces a very formidable group. |
Revealpanda:Tinubu jumped from party to party, from coalition to coalition. Maybe you were a baby between 1999 and 2014. He was in AD in 1999 when he team up with APP to support Olu Falae against OBJ. He was in AD in 2003 when he supported OBJ for the Presidency in 2003 to enable him secure the only AD governor’s seat in 2003. That was his ticket to remain as the governor. He dumped AD when he has issues with the leadership in 2007 and formed ACN. He supported Atiku of the PDP. Atiku decamped and he supported him. In 2011, he brought Nuhu Ribadu as the Presidential candidate of ACN. He ended up supporting GEJ. We all saw GEJ’s wife clearly saying that her husband and her will support BAT for giving them his support in 2011. Move over to 2014. Tinubu took his ACN to join nPDP, ANPP, APGA, Buhari’s CPC and others to form APC. Now tell us how BAT has not cross carpeted serially? You Buhari moved from APP to ANPP and then to CPC and then to APC. If you were not aware, as vise who know the matters between the 1999 and 2014. |
Mabuggi88:It was a very poor analysis from a so called SAN. Anyway, how can we blame him, when he has never contested an election, at least for a local government is his native Delta state. He was viciously defeated by Obi in his polling booth, ward and local government in the last election. The same defeat happened to Reno Omokri. That was how PDP dismissed the APC coalition in 2014 and the result was the defeat of PDP. The same PDP members coalesced with ACN, APP, APGA, etc to form APC. Who says that those who are forming the coalition do not know that they must get ADC membership cards? By the way, as a SAN, why has he not commented on the illegal decamping of several legislators from other parties to APC. The set up of the coalition looks quite formidable, with those who are angry at their own parties currently teaming up to vote Tinubu out. Nigerians are tired of the 10 years of hardship. Who does not know that Peter Obi will be the candidate? Everyone knows that Obi has the key and by far the man with the largest followers. You can no longer overlook the Obidients! Even Omo Agege in the governorship election used the words “Obidiently Omo Agege” to appeal to Obidients when defeat stared him in the face. Mbah did the same in Enugu state. The coalition can easily afford to watch Kwakwanso team up with APC. For ADC, Kachikwu must wake up and not play the spoiler. This is the opportunity that his party needs to rise and be recognized. Without doubt, with his promise of one term and then hand over to the north, Obi will be the candidate. They all know that failure to do that, will lead to a split in their block votes. |
4words:All Progressive Congress African Democratic Congress One led by Tinubu and Wike with 8.9m votes in 2023. The other led by Atiku and Obi with 15m votes in 2023. The difference is that those with 15m votes are grouping together as they should have done, to show those with 8.9 m votes the door, after afflicting Nigerians for the past 10 years. |
APC going, going, going. Hopefully this coalition will give Nigerians a credible alternative. Hopefully this will not be like one of those arrangements where like APC, they hijack power and not know how to make life better for citizens. |
The factional chairman said “our millions of members”. Abeg where the millions dey before? How many of the millions voted at the last Presidential election? How many states did they produce Governors? The factional chairman should be happy that finally good things have come the way of the party, with such political heavyweights. |
Very sweet to see. At least Portable revealed the sweet side of himself. A good, loving, caring and dependable father. He is able to te proper care of his children and relate to them very closely. Very beautiful of him and his family. |
Holdup247:That fellow’s moniker is ebubu. Please what do people associate ebubu with? If you remember, then know that na bushman you dey respond to. |
Bwanasaraw:Did you finally read that the killers targeted a certain Augustine Odogwu? On identifying him, the killers instantly shot him dead. The others were simply victims of circumstance. Will you now blame the Government of Anambra state or Anambra people? It is apparently a case of hired assassination. |
I said it earlier that someone in that meeting was targeted and that the others were victims, as the killers wanted to cover up. It is so sad. Now it appears that the said Augustine had issues with someone. That person sent a group of assassins to take the life of the man. Ogboji is an agrarian town, very peaceful. There is present an arrangement by the government to make Ogboji a pharmaceutical hub in Anambra state. Hopefully these evil fellows can be found and visited with the same measure of their wickedness. |
yarimo:Such poor English endlessly. Can you not write in your language? That should help you a long way. |
yarimo:Do you still write such bad English? Why not get your English right before commenting in matters that in no way concern you? |
Bentacur007:Orji Uzor Kalu did not know that it was disgraceful when he left PDP to form PPA. He left the party that he formed in the name of removing PDP and now wants us to agree that new parties every four years is disgraceful. When AD metamorphosed into ACN and fused with nPDP, ANPP, CPC, etc to remove PDP/GEJ, it was not disgraceful. The truth now is that the fear of uprooting them from power in 2027 now stares them in the face. |
Bwanasaraw:No toxicity intended. No insult intended. Keke riders earn legitimate income. They are decent people, who also own properties from their honest businesses. They also sell pharmaceuticals in Anambra state. The truth remains that they make a large chunk of the keke riders in Delta and Anambra states, just like the northerners. You can easily verify that. They make up the large chunk of those who sell mobile phone accessories in Delta and Anambra states, with their wheelbarrows.l Without doubt, most crimes committed in Anambra state is not by the people of the state. Please take note of that starting from today. The reason clearly is that Anambra state serves as the major trading area for others from the South East and South South. If you look closely at the killing, you will find that it might have been by some aggrieved person(s) from among their people. Maybe one person was the target and the others were just victims to cover up. It is not that simple to locate such a place which is in the hinterland, to locate innocent people sitting inside their compound and shoot them dead. It is saddening. Ogboji is a very peaceful community, located in Orumba. It is an agrarian town, and with very easy going people. Such heinous crime is not associated with that community. |
Commentor:They are safe everywhere. Ebonyi mostly are akin to northern pastorialists. They are mostly the keke drivers in the Delta state, along with northerners. It certainly showed an arrangement by either an aggrieved person or aggrieved persons. I believe that the architect of that evil act must be one of their people from Ebonyi state, but sadly carried out the evil in Anambra state. They will be arrested either by SASA or Agunechemba, except they flee from Anambra state. |
TheStranger:Ogboji is a very peaceful agrarian community. Gov Soludo has big plans for that community, which approximately one hour’s drive from his Isuofia hometown. Hopefully the perpetrators are speedily fished out. Anambra has been experiencing peace since the arrival of SASA and Agunechemba. I trust them to catch the evil men very soon and mete out the same on them all. |
seunowa:How some of you manage to scale through here with such name calling shows the absolute bias of the moderators on this forum. Just imagine that obituary is attached to your name. Surely sleep will fly off your eyes. Hopefully that obituary is attached to your own name, just as you attached it to Peter’s. |
ovie8200:The masses choose to be deceived. The beauty of democracy is that it gives choices. The choice of leaders that you make can either make you progress or retrogress. When you all were shouting that Buhari and Tinubu were the best, you never listened to those who had better knowledge of their previous administrative records. You all were very sentimental. The rest is what we experience today. It is only proper that we have alternatives. Democracy gives you the opportunity to vote, using your PVC effectively, after reviewing all the options. If people believe in the leaders found in the coalition, they are free to move with them. If you are satisfied with Tinubu/Buhari/APC and the misery associated with them, please feel free to continue voting for them. If INEC plays its role as an honest umpire, results are counted, whoever wins in the end, let him be the President. Tinubu also led a coalition to unseat GEJ by democratic means. There should therefore be no fear, anger or bitterness if others form a coalition to unseat him, especially with this very poor record of inflicting severe hardship on citizens, while enjoying himself, along with his political associates. |
Kobojunkie:The idle mind is the devil’s workshop. Hopefully you know that. Joblessness and crime go hand in hand. Joblessness is synonymous with breaking and entry, as the police tag it. Joblessness is tagged with all forms of crime, including thuggery and hooliganism. All those thugs and hooligans are happily jobless. Jobless people are mostly tagged criminals and are risky to the society. Hand no dey dey far from them. Hand dey touch them quickly. |
Kobojunkie:Are you working a real job? Abeg tell us first. No lie o. Are you working a real job? |
Promise47:Very good response bro. However the fact remains that Delta North is long overdue to move over as a South east state. Deltans all love themselves. But tell us the truth, does Reno Omokri like anybody from Delta North, considering that he is from Delta South? |
The union leaders will claim that the culprits are not members of that branch and the woman will not get compensated. I continue to wonder how Ambode was not allowed a second term. Lagos would have been rid of these violent fellow like it was done in the days of Buba Marwa. |
No basis for comparison. In the north, there are three huge personalities. 1. Buhari 2. Atiku 3. Kwakwanso Shettima, El Rufai and the rest do not carry such weight and power. |
Promise47:You dey play yourself big wayo. Nothing concern Urhobo man, Itsekiri man, Isoko man and Ijaw man with you. Na only state capital hold una together. Your big family dey SE. Una don dey hear an since. The entire Delta Central and Delta South call you Igbo. I no sure say you dey reach village. If you get home, feel free to ask. Go to Warri and speak your language and see if you will not be called an Igbo man. Self delusion is not good oo. |
Creamypie:You see say you no even dey current? Point to the area in the SE where your infamous sit at home still holds. By the way, show us how Delta south has been spared of any form of violence. Have you dealt with cultism and herdsmen menace. You no follow for SE, yet you go from you side cross bridge go but market for Onitsha. All the hospitals for Delta North, na Onitsha dem dey buy drugs, building materials, house materials and all equipments needed. Easier and cheaper to purchase than Lagos. You no kuku know anything about Azagba of Asaba, not to talk of his opinion. When you say “we have told Ned”, only talk about your opinion on Nairaland here. All the mouth wey you get no pass for here. Read the below: https://dailypost.ng/2024/07/15/asagba-in-council-writes-president-tinubu-over-creation-anioma-state/# Tell us if you read am well. Everyone on ground physically in Delta North complies. No be mouth. By the way, if na Ned, if na Okowa, if na Nwaoboshi or LP, all of them are fully in agreement. No be only “we indigenes”, na we foreigners. You wey all your travel end for Nairaland here so. How you wan take vote? You fit reach Akwa Ibom? Na you wan cry so when the Akwa Ibom matter settle. Chai, I will laugh in Agbor language! I will remind you of this discussion when it is through. |
