PoliticsRe: When Peter Obi Donated ₦50 Million To Dominican University, Ibadan by ElevationD: 7:35pm On Jul 29, 2025
ajailer:
You guys are just trying to push an unattractive product down people's throat, and believe me, at the ballot, he will be rejected. Someone came out with a statistics, and that has got you jittery that you had to go dig online to make your product appealing to people whose minds is already decided. It will be better if you guys start being proactive rather than reacting, you will go farther this way.
The unattractive product that you pushed down people’s throat scored 8.9 million votes, out of a population of over 200 million people. When you claim “Nigerians”, always remember that 8.9 million votes does not qualify to refer as “Nigerians”, but a section of Nigerians.

Perhaps you did not read to the point where the university shut your fake job seeking fellow’s mouth, stating clearly that Obi had been silently donating to the school. Perhaps you are so blinded that you have not seen the ethnic narrative constantly driven by the irresponsible Reno Omokri, who has left his own Itsekiri garment to wear a Yoruba garment, claiming ethnic affinity and seeking a job, from the same man who he severally over the years called a drug lord.

If you were proactive and reading clearly, you would have not made such an unknowledgeable comment.

With time, even Charley Boy will call it Badoo bus stop.
Will you also rename people’s houses in Lagos? Will the LCDA chairman or the state governor rename buildings not owned by “indigenes”? What
Dem don take tribalism finish all of una. If there are 100k streets in Lagos? There are millions of houses owned by those who are not of the Lagos tribe. Will you rename the millions of houses? Abi una go also collect am by force? They started with the story of blocking drainages. Now advanced to streets. We dey wait. PoliticsRe: Lagos State Continues Street Renaming; Tony now Femi Pedro (pic) by ElevationD: 1:15pm On Jul 29, 2025
Three things that Nigerian politics use to play with the heads of citizens.

1. Tribalism
2. Religion
3. Money

These have been the instruments of division used since 1999. Nigerian citizens have fallen hook, line and sinker. While politicians play their game, they use the opportunity of the foolishness to loot the country dry.

Now that there’s serious ethnic division, why not let the various groups simply go their respective ways? Are they waiting for violence to break out, before allowing the different ethnic groups to go their different ways? This street renaming simply bid a symbol of bewitching the citizens who believe more. One wonders the sense in renaming Mba street, which has been so for decades. How will the people of Ajegunle suddenly switch. The same for Osho drive, a very popular street in Ajegunle. Why not rename Goriola or Nosamu streets? APC is such a petty group.

Is it not time for breakup?
PoliticsRe: Peter Obi To Tinubu: Stop This humongous borrowings without accountability by ElevationD: 12:15pm On Jul 29, 2025
asfrank:
Obi wouldn't do anything different if he is president. Being in opposition means you have to disagree with everything the government of the day does, if you give them credit then there's no point seeking to replace them.
There's no government that functions without borrowing. His main selling point is they he governored Anambra without borrowing (allegedly) question now is how is the state doing now in the longterm, years after he left office? If you are bold today, future generations will reap the rewards.
I expect attack from his hounds any moment from now...
What has Tinubu done better than GEJ? Can you please explain? He led a very aggressive and abusive campaign of calumny and protests against GEJ in 2012, to stop the then very well intended fuel subsidy removal. The same fuel subsidy, BAT removed on his inauguration day. The problem was not the removal of fuel subsidy, but the delay, beating about the bush and rigmaroling from 2014 until 2023. Nigerians were then further pushed into deeper poverty.

What would Obi do differently? Accountability. Remember that Obi started lamenting just before the last election about stealing of Nigerian crude. Obi gave the right figures of the daily losses. APC under Buhari attacked him, but the truth was glaring to Nigerians who love the nation. The question was how a country with such resources would watch certain people steal resources with impunity. Why would non state actors loot gold and other rare earth minerals in the north and no one seems bothered. If there’s accountability, would such resources not be used to develop the country?

Granted that countries borrow to fix their countries. Do our leaders borrow to fix the country, or they borrow to loot? What happened for example to some of the monies recovered from the likes of Abacha? Why is it impossible to tackle corruption with sincerity? That’s what Obi will do differently among others.
PoliticsRe: Will Tinubu Accept Wike's Challenge? by ElevationD: 11:58am On Jul 29, 2025
Someone who has not stated his own source of stupendous wealth, is calling for the prove of others. How can the devil expect to cast out the devil, as it is said.

Wike himself, just like others needs to be probed. The story was out there before the last Rivers state elections, how Fubara was hidden inside the government house, in a matter involving over 400b. Why not allow the corruption agents look into that matter first?

PoliticsRe: SDP Expels El-Rufai For 30 Years Over Alleged Forgery by ElevationD: 3:20pm On Jul 28, 2025
Globad:
The headline is misleading

It's more of ex-communicating him.

SDP said; “Having confirmed that he publicly declared for the ADC and continued to act in a manner contrary to the principles and practices of the SDP, the party has no option but to disassociate and excommunicate him.
The same thing please. Whether the used the word “expelled” or “ex communicate”, the intent there was to sack. They simply sacked him from the party.

It is unfortunate that Nigerian politicians still play very crude politics, all in the name of power and control. The party, SDP, unveiled El Rufai with so much fun fare. Now they claim that the same big fish that they caught was not their member. The reason simply is that El Rufai has one leg in ADC. Again, BAT has his own men in SDP.

How can you expel, sack, fire, chase away, pursue or ex communicate someone who is not your member please. Without a membership card or as they say, employment letter, how can you fire someone?

Truly it is not about English. Let’s set aside the language and reason properly. It is simply about the senselessness of some Nigerian politicians.

If he publicly declared for SDP and never had a membership card, where did the “expelled” come from please? All they would have done was to denounce him, telling the world that he was not a member and no one should transact any business with him in the name of SDP. That’s all!

“ The foregoing actions by the NWC, which are in the exercise of its exclusive powers as guaranteed in Article 19.1; 19.3(i) and 19.5 of the Party Constitution 2022, (as amended) are consequent upon the unacceptable acts of gross indiscipline of Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, particularly, in respect of the undeniable fact of having publicly declared for the ADC, which is chosen as their so-called 'coalition' vehicle and his confirmed acts towards dragging the SDP dishonestly into their so-called coalition through the back door; and his selfish agenda to destabilise the party (having failed in his mission), by way of sponsoring a group of dissidents to call an illegal National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the Party on Friday July 25, 2025, Nasir Ahmad Elrufai is hereby banished and banned from applying to the membership, identifying with the name, insignia, logo, symbol, mark or any activities, organs, agencies and institutions of the SDP or donating to, supporting, contributing to, participating in any affairs of the SDP for a period of 30 (thirty) years effective from today”

The jokers were so overzealous that they used the words “banished”, “expelled”, “banned”. Which of the words should we accept please?

Certainly would lose their jobs. That’s one very serious challenge not just in Asaba, but in Delta state as a whole. Driving on highways and major communities in Delta state sometimes can be risky. You see policemen at checkpoints in Asaba and Warri particularly and begin to wonder whether there’s war going on. That front of St. Patrick’s Asaba sometimes looks like a battle ground with too many policemen mounting checkpoints.

It is so sad. I hope our beloved Delta state can find peace from security personnel and cultists.

Psoul:
Those changes in the street names shows height hatred, tribalism and jealousy that is well known about the people of that region.

They will keep claiming that the Igbos are not respecting their hosts and all other stereotype BS just to paint the Igbos bad.

If the Igbos do not respect their host, how come they were able to live so these long years and helping the host communities and even buying lands in those communities.

The fact that the politician, who out of selfish interest brought about the hated and division is hidden by tagging Igbos aggressive.
That division was easy to grow within that region cos ppl from that region are will known right from time as bn tribalistic.

The fact will remain that the Igbos are the holder of the peaceful co-existence of the people of Nigeria. Remove the Igbos, Nigeria will be a desolate place and uninhabitable. Take it or leave it.
And if Nigeria is to progress beyond what she is today, it must start from the Igbo tribe. The Igbos are the light bearers of this nation.

Let them keep changing street names instead of changing their mindset.
You can change the name of the streets, but the legacy lives in the heart of the people.

Even in the next 10 years, you'll still hear ppl calling the bus stops work their original names.

Igbos are focusing on more tangible progress and not common street names.
We are unstoppable.
“It is sad to note that a state that has continued to retain the streets named after murderers and economic saboteurs from the former colonial empire is busy renaming streets and bus stops named after Nigerians who have made their contributions to the development of the society”.

Psoul:
That name sounds so silly. With such name, they will also turn that Bus Stop into tout's haven.
Well, Lagos na home of touts
Most youths here do not have the faintest idea of how that name of that bus stop came about. Originally, it was called Second Pedro busstop in the eighties and nineties. Charly Boy built his house at that junction and at that period there houses there were far between. His house was very prominent, very exposed and everyone passing would notice the house easily. Added to that was his bike, which he displayed at the front, beautifying the place and drawing the attention of people. His house was the place for movers and shakers of the society, in the military, politics, entertainment and music. When going to that area, it started with Charly boy house. It became popular and then the bus and Okada drivers, residents in area started the name Charly boy bus stop, identifying with Charly boy, who was fighting and defending the people of Bariga, Pedro and Gbagada then. I think eventually the local government recognized the name Charly boy bus stop. He also owns a house in Abuja and it is prominent too, added to several other properties that he has. He’s in the property business. That house became the symbol of Charly boy. I will not be surprised if one person one day decides to revoke his C of O and pull down the house, claiming right of way.

It was too petty of the outgoing local government chairman, who probably was in school when Charly boy started living there. Charly boy has resided in that house for close to 40 years or more. It simply showed insecurity, fear and the clear issue of tribalism ongoing in Nigeria.

How the intend to erase the name in the minds of the people is what we are waiting to see.

Goodvibes007:
The legacy of nudity and immorality. God forbid bad thing.

Op would you like Charly boy to be nudity mentor for any of your family members?
Much younger than your age, that same Charly boy with the legacy of nudity was fighting for the emancipation of citizens from the irresponsible leaders, who have refused to let citizens enjoy decent lives.

That same Charly boy with legacy of nudity has not been found to steal, loot and impoverish citizens, unlike those who you support, who daily empower you with uncommon hardship and poverty. As of today, a bag of rice stands at 100k under APC/BAT.

That same Charly with the legacy of nudity has fought to save the common man, ensuring that even Okada riders, fruit sellers and those whose little wares are daily destroyed by KAI brigade, can find justice and live in a good society.

That same Charly with the legacy of nudity had a well known Justice of the Supreme Court as a father. The same Charly with the legacy of nudity became a grandfather long ago, with grandchildren probably your age mates today.

That same Charly with the legacy of nudity has met and shared friendship with the biggest names in the Nigerian society. While some of your leaders formed NADECO and fled the country, that same Charly stood his grounds in the country against the likes of Sani Abacha.

Where is your own contribution as a youth in this country?

Bros abeg stop disgracing yasef na. Is there any rule that stops farmers from purchasing foreign currencies? So what if he received mostly cash from his buyers, as is the custom with trading in Nigeria?

Why do you think that all those who work as public servants are corrupt? Nuhu Ribadu, Oby Ezekwesili, Dora Akunyili and Ngozi Okonjo Iweala were very reputable Nigerians when they held public offices under Obasanjo. They were never found corrupt. We still have many such decent citizens nationwide.

Maybe you are still one of those vehicles think that farmers are poor people. Maybe you associate farming with poverty. Sorry, you make a huge error. Farmers are among the wealthiest in the country. Dangote, Kwakwanso, Atiku, all own huge farms in the north. Buhari had a farm with 250 cows. There are those whose farms hold thousands of cows. Look at those who farm just ginger. They are very wealthy. Come, you comment dey sound like lazy man talk o.
PoliticsRe: Peter Obi, APC: Omojuwa, Edoho Clash On X by ElevationD: 6:24pm On Jul 26, 2025
Japheth Omojuwa gave himself away as completely unlearned, given only to abuses and lying. Reading through the exchanges, it was very clear that Frank Edoho is not his mate in any ramification. In the very first two exchanges Omojuwa was not only exhausted, but completely defeated and with nothing more to say, other than an attempt at defamation. Deji Adeyanju initially gave him the punch, but Frank Edoho completely knocked him out.

Edoho showed a very sound reasoning, with very clear understanding of what he was talking about. Notice that rather than face the issue, the unlearned and irresponsible Omojuwa went personal, and could not defend his submission of whatever happened to Edoho 20 years ago.

This Omojuwa fellow is just the typical Portable, who unfortunately for himself picked on VDM. With just one sucker punch, Portable has gone from police to native doctors. He has nothing to offer. Omojuwa just like Portable has nothing to offer.

I only expect support for Omojuwa to come from those who are unlearned like him, blind, bewitched and complete liars.

Sadly many policemen do not care about their actions, knowing well that citizens now record their actions. It’s so easy for them to lose their jobs. A few days ago, the same citizens joined retired policemen to protest injustice in their pension payment…the same retired policemen who in their working days would not tolerate protests.

He was a cardiothoracic surgeon in LUTH . How did he make millions of dollars from his fictitious farming ?
As a cardiothoracic surgeon, he is a very wealthy man. He does not need to embezzle public funds to live his life. Heart surgeons are expensive and wealthy. Operations go for as much as 20m and there too many patients on the line waiting for him to attend to daily. That NHIS probably was to improve his profile, but he did not need that job to be who his calling made him.

If you like, he can find his way abroad. Job offers are too many, waiting for his likes.
