Figolouis:Who are we? You mean, your Agulu president? |
Nec41:I miss p@nd0ra, he would have asked a mad man for advice on how to lie he won after losing ![]() |
But the pedestrian bridges aren't everywhere naw i.e. Gbagada bus stop |
G00dharddick:. President of Agulu? You will cry for long. Lol |
ariesbull:I already told you who the out of school kids are. Are they not your brothers? Oh, you really want me to bring out your mess. Filtering Google for Yoruba villages doesn't change anything, Kid. Your region will continue to trail behind mine in every meaningful indicator of development for years to come. Now, shall we talk about business productivity/GDP, IGR, education, top universities in the country, highest concentration of top tech/biz professionals in the country, level of sophistication and so on? Of course, you wọnt see your mud huts feature in these ![]() |
43Ronin:Travel to where, Aburo? I was in Ebonyi for a year. The magnitude of poverty I saw people experience there is indescribable. You talk of brown roofs that are less than 20% of total buildings in the SW. But mud and tattered huts are way over 60% of the total houses there. Even their graduate are paid peanuts, highest ranges in 25-30k, a reflection of lack of economic substance of the region. Pls note that Abia and Enugu are not any better as they are border states. So what are you talking about. If you know the diverse population of people subsiding on the money flows in the SW, you won't be saying this. I can say that more than 30% of Ibos are domiciled in the SW. How many Yorubas do you see going there to hustle? What's even the combined productivity of the SE? Lolz , even if stats lie, empirical reality doesn't. . Stop comparing Vodka to Ogogoro abeg |
ariesbull:See Otondo, so the brown roofs in the villages which represent less than 20% of the SW territory is your measurement indicator? Let's talk GDP, education, levels of exposure and civilization, IGR, size of corporate sector, indigenous enterprise, number of HITECH professionals i.e. software engineers, and so on. 80%+ of the out of school children are children of northerners who came to the SW to beg and the 19% are SEastern boys who came to sell gala and push barrows (God bless their hustle). Yoruba kids out of school can never surpass 1% as education and thirst for knowledge are an integral part of Yoruba sophistication. Which stats are you talking about? Let's take them one by one. It would take 100 years or more before any other region go near SW in all meaningful indices of development. It has always been so since the days of Awolowo |
ariesbull:SW is the most backward in the South? Are you sure your brain is still intact or that you've traded it for drugs? The least Yoruba state will dominate any other region in the South. I'm sure you are from a godforsaken region that is an economic dumpsite with near zero value. The region that produced 21 billion naira as VAT while the SW produced 460billion in 2021. Lagos alone had #260billion. Yes, even those from the region are in the SW as economic refugees. So where are you from again? |
Alexis11:God bless you for this. Obi himself is a closet bigot. His yes daddy scandal exposed a bit about him, but mumu Yorubas who call themselves liberals won't listen to us, neoconservatives. The starting point for a way forward now is to totally restructure Nigeria and devolve power from the center, such that every region hold most part of it's own destiny in it's own hands. Let's the structure of the union reflect the reality of how different we are from one another and how we feel about one another. Anyone claiming he would fix Nigeria in its current structure is doing comedy. Yes, that includes the current President who has refused to devolve power until now. |
franchasofficia:Continue shining teeth. If they hit you and your deserted enclaves now, you will start crying to CNN, UN and Seun. |
edoncast:Why his innocent dad or gf? They aren't responsible for his foolishness naw |
ValCon888:They are lazy, yet they have sustained a legacy of development inherited from the Boers and you lots have to lobby your way out of your cesspit to the country? I'm Nigerian and I know the only region that thinks stupidly and ungratefully like this. Yet that region is a forgotten sh!!!thole |
able20:Senseless comment. Yet they reached finals? |
marlow1962:I was right. You should probably spend time practicing your writing and comprehension first before coming online to make disjointed sentences |
marlow1962:Read what you wrote. This time, slowly and sensibly. Did you deduce any bit of sense? Of course, it's a no |
peculiar2233:Why is this one crying? If you're hungry, go back to your region to farm. We are talking of development, he is talking about garri. Mu^2 |
Burob:I'm talking about the President calling for a national consensus via national election, you are talking national assembly. Is this a joke? It may interest you to know that the powers of the national assembly ultimately reside in the collectivity of the nationwide constituents who conferred on them in the first place. A matter as delicate as rewriting the structure and form of the federation, and how the new structure will be constituted, cannot be left for the NASS |
Massiveglory:Go school, you say no. Continue wandering with ogogoro sachets and lamenting governance at newspaper stands ![]() |
Tinubu, I didn't support you so that you can be signing meaningless bills that do not address even a scratch of the core. What I expected: 1. Devolve power TOTALLY. This present structure is unsustainable. Call for a national referendum and put options for region based federalism with real powers residing with the regions and their regional governments. 2. Use federal power to bring to actualization, some of the great visions of the DAWN Commission, which is the regional planning and strategy powerhouse of the SW. We need to revive our export-oriented agricultural value chain and convert our youth population to a STEM-powered resource pool nationally and internationally. These days, we are creating more of portables, focusless youths drinking sachet gins all over and less of the likes of Seun Osewa. Unfortunately, Tinubu is gradually proving to be all talk about federalism and has held on to the central since inauguration. Hmmm |
yahoodetector:Stop hiding your pains and incoherence with the many emojis, it's irritating. That said, do you lack comprehension? The loudest noise from the distressed forgotten region is allowed for national attention, selectively. |
G00dharddick:We know you and your ilks. Just that Nairaland now forbids us to call you what you guys are being called ![]() |
yahoodetector:Rather, it's the excess of it being filtered in the news by your people. My commiserations |
Streetdoctor:Why the attache by force? Proclaim your identity alone, the yeast. Fyi, if the SW which is the America of you lots, is useless, your deserted and economically unviable region is probably off the map lol |
SKYHIGHfx:There is a flourishing media in the SW, so everything is news. But the world does not care about the endemic and ginger induced cannibalism going on in some region . Pẹlẹ |
yahoodetector:There is a flourishing media in the SW, so everything is news. But the world does not care about the endemic and hunger induced cannibalism going on in some region . Pẹlẹ |
I notice some crop of hate infested clowns on Nairaland are always quick to publish every negative bit about the SW, verified or unverified, all in a bid to push the narrative that the SW is hungry. The funny thing is, if the SW is hungry, the home region of these clowns is probably soaked in starvation already with no media attention. Ragtag |
Osimhen, dey nod ball down abeg |
lexy2014:Lexy? This one has been crying since time immemorial |
OgaTheTop2:But you are the one crying everywhere, spewing same thing in every thread naw |
