This whole Obama hero-worship and Fashola "idolism" sucks to be honest. What the heck man. |
sniperwolf:Can you point out where and what gives the inclination? I am being objective, on comparison to you who appear to be dishing out "questionable comments" ![]() |
ndividual:According to a video interview from one of Sony's top gun. Psp 3000 would still be in sale along side the Psp Go. So I guess that is your question answered. It should be noted that the Psp Go is slimmer and light that the psp 3000, so I am guess it is directed at those who want portability. The games would be "digital content" - am guessing download. What ever that means, we will be finding out this Fall [Toward the third quarter of the year or so] sniperwolf:Woah. Coming from some one who is yet to lay their hand on the actual console. I look forward to rerading your impartial review if you ever own one. Please check out the interview here. It is directed at several people who may prefer to down load their games etc. Like I said, the psp3000 with the UMD is still available. Sorry I cant find the video. Check it out on youtube or something. |
becomrich.:Another clone account? ![]() We are talking about two different things here. You are talking about lack of job. I am talking about why Nigeria's graduate may have a hard time finding job. As for your story, erm I would leave that for others to comment on. |
@labiyemmy:It is not a case of whether they are really true or not. It is a common knowledge. As with every country, UK do sought after highly trained professionals. If an Astronaut who have been to the moon and worked for NASA applied for a job in the UK, then there are every chances that he would get it. You know why? His skills are highly specialised. Nigeria's education system is in disarray. How are student meant to benefit when a three years course last five years instead due to strike? Don't get me wrong, it in every bad situation, there are people who are able to make difference. However, I am speaking with the overall picture in mind here. As for the VISA programme. Please go over to the NHS website and see if for yourself. Most of the jobs advertised now no longer qualify for "work permit" [Now known as Two tier certificate or so]. Forget what these agencies advertise back in Nigeria. A job in the UK must first be advertised for at least two weeks with preferences given to UK citizen BEFORE Europeans and outsiders are considered. This is something you can easily verify your self. @labiyemmy:You are missing the point. A failing education system cannot produce a well educated individual. In Nigeria's system, emphasis are laid on theory. Emphasis are laid on knowing shit by heart. Yet on comparison to here, emphasis are laid on actually understanding the concepts, emphasis are laid on hands on experience. etc. I am not been patronizing here, but I would rather be examined by a med student over here, than a doctor in Nigeria. My nephew is one of the best in his class at the dentistry school in Lagos. He came here for a university exchange-like programme in Newcastle, and after a few days he was forced to admit that we [back home] really have a long way to go. This is someone who is a blindly patriotic like "Ajala ewuro" and co. |
Simple terms. The engine is designed to give the following - Acceptable performance when needed. Better miles/km to gallon figures and controlled emission [on comparison to a cab-engine of similar cc size] Here is a link to read if you are interested. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VTEC_engine I will advice you check out that link as it gives more information that you may be yearning for. ![]() |
Public health for me. It is more in line with my existing qualification - Biomedical sciences. Also, Public health offers a more job diversity and role than the rest. The modules, I find them to be interesting and does help in one's critical thinking and what not. Out of curiosity, do you have anywhere specific you are looking to do any of these courses? |
This have been posted before. ![]() The guy is well known. In that interview, he uses a mixture of Latin, Archaic English and some good old Nigerian English to bamboozle the audience. I personally do not see the point of the interview, he never answered any question and the reporter didn't even press him on it. That is a good example of how not to conduct an interview in my opinion. |
Nice one. I was just about to post this. If these leaked images are true, then I am going back to buying a Psp. Thank God, Sony got rid of the UMD disk. ![]() Here is additional report: A new version of Sony's PlayStation Portable games console is expected to be launched at the E3 video games show. |
Typical responses from like minded people. Here, how about a different view? Being a doctor in Nigeria do not automatically means you would become a doctor in a developed country. You just have to look at the state of our universities as to why. You need to look at our hospitals as to why. You need to see where Nigeria stands in these fields on the world platform to see why. Just because Medicine is being taught in Nigerian universities, do not mean that the students [or product of Nigeria's university] are what people abroad want. To buttress my point, please check out the thread entitle "Are nigeria's graduate really graduate" in the career section. Years ago, I used to work with some guy who apparently was a doctor in Nigeria. Even then with my college education back then, I would be very sceptical of his claim or knowledge base - but that is just me. From what I know, people who came here in the 60s, 70s and up to the 80s are able to practice as a doctor, but now the system is changed - at least in the UK. You will need to do several tests and other trainings so as to bring people from back home to the standards needed here. The thing is some do fail these tests and they sometimes find it a shock, as it is not the same learning process they are used to back home. While my problem is not with the people with the qualification - i.e the doctors back home - I think my problem lies with the way our education system is being allowed to systematically fall apart. Let me put it this way, it would be probably easier for me to get a job in Nigeria with my qualifications, than have qualifications from Nigeria's university and looking for jobs here. Why is that? |
. . . . . Then they should be shot right after they apologised. ![]() |
Sorry, I cant be of help on that one. ![]() However, it may be worth knowing that the recent BMWs may throw up a "fault code" if a different type of bulb is used from what the manufacturer's recommend. |
No it is not. From what I know, people do it do that they can be "seen" by other road users. [Obviously, forgetting that it dazzles other road user] |
Depending on the kind of car you are driving and other factors like Oil type etc. Most cars comes with Cold car these days - hence the reason why you dont see the "choke function" on modern car anymore. As for the type of oil, some oil are better improved and according to the manufacturer can stick to the moving parts of the engine hence reducing wear and tear in the morning. I think Castrol Magnatex oil makers and others like Mobil make claim of this with their products. Over all, it is well known that engine tear and wear occurs when it's been a while the car was driven. So technically, your Uncle may be correct. Having said that, that is my opinion and others may have a different view. EDIT It should be noted that in colder climates, people have "Auto start" fitted on their car. This allows them to start the car remotely and once it is "warm" one can just go in and drive off. |
Olabukola can you refrain from discussing what is more or less a private matter on here please. We are all grown ups and as such, can we please act like one. Not everything some busybody comes telling you, you have to hint at on a forum. Thank you. |
RSA:I don't think the international community would do much, other than the usual noise from UN. Noise and probably more sanctions. As for taking military action, well according to CIA fact book: Military Korea, NorthWith an average of a million army, and possible nuclear heads weapon [which they have shown, they would use if necessary] I think people - even the US - are weary of a taking a military action against NK. A third world war is welcome in my opinion, but I do not see how it will benefit Africa. If anything, we may suffer the wrath during the war and after the war. |
Redfox:Translation: Excuse. Excuse. Excuse and more excuses. Your team lost, please take it like a man and stop bringing in past glory. See the post I made above, it hit the nail on the head! |
Taken from Times Online It is difficult to question the tactics of a manager who has won more than thirty trophies, but it looks like Sir Alex Ferguson got his tactics wrong in Rome last night.Bingo! Gbam. Period. Bang!! ![]() As an arsenal fan, I think there is a God and he showed himself last night. ![]() |
angelgirl1:They probably fail because of women like you? Here is the proof. ![]() https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-277181.0.html |
ttalks:Good on you man. Remember that the engagement ring is only temporary, so I dunno if that should be taken into consideration too. You can always then up the game during marriage time. You can use any of her old rings as a guide, or measure her finger with a rope [non-shrinking] and then take it to the jewellers. [Obviously without her knowing.] |
Igwe.:Neo [From the matrix] had similar beliefs and believe that it can be done. ![]() |
Messi did it. ![]() I think it is fair to say Barca have won this one now. ![]() |
If Barca do not seal this game with another goal or more. Then I have a feeling that Man-U will get an equaliser and hence possibly leading to a penalty kick out. |
goodass:He was close. |
eazyman:He should have scored to be honest. Barca is so dangerous at the moment. . . . Expect more goals to drop. Woah, freekick! |
Krayola:True. He can make a difference. But Barca do have some tricks up their sleeves. . . .I would think. |
Dont forget that you need to know her finger size. You need something that fits just right. As for where you can get one, I can't point you to one am afraid. ![]() If you have people abroad [UK/US], you can get them to buy you one. Better quality and possibly better craftsmanship in my opinion. |
Krayola:I think you will find that both are rated evenly. However, I do see where you are coming from and your reason for saying so. I think Man-U lost the edge once they had a goal against them. Imagine coming out all guns blazing and not making a kill, yet the Barca, didnt have to try hard to get one. I also like how they are passing and holding on to the ball. They appear to be controlling the game mostly. Any idea what Ferguson may be telling his team in the dressing room? |
goodass:Anyone with half a brain knows that "na bean" "na today" "dem wan kill messi" aint exactly doing nothing interesting. But hey, let's not bicker. What is your half time view? [Hopefully it wont be "na beans"] ![]() |
Well half time here guys. Let us hear your objective analysis if you would please. ![]() |
Guys at least try and say something meaningful. "Na today" "na beans" "Dem wan kill messi" aint exactly interesting. Gosh we are all watching it. If you don't have something meaningful to say, just watch the match. Anyway, the game so far. . . . . . . I think Man-U came out gun blazing, with Ronaldo shooting at every possible chance and as usual giving the goal keeper the fright of his life with his awesome freekick. However, the game seem to have changed since Barca scored with Eto. It appear the goal have hit Man-U on their brakes and they some how lost the sharpness and attacking approach. The game is still to early and it remains to be seen it man-U would equalise. Overall, Barca is still the better team now. [My opinion] PS Is it me or is Rooney not making that much difference in the Man-u team so far? |
