Once again you proved me correct.  I love this!

Jesus wept. With your post of IQ, shredding and dicing elrazur, punchlining blah blah blah. The best you did was come out with that? Damn, you are like Nigeria's Post office - Never delivers. Utter drivel and disgrace.

Seriously, engage me and stop trying to engage me. smiley Gosh who am I kidding, at your most serious post you didn't manage that I very much doubt you can.

Hehehe . . . okay this is unfair on you, I can't keep making you a walking punchline.
But how can I stop replying when I know every two lines I say 'I'm done with this' automatically produces a 2500 word essay about how Eldee is egoistic?? grin grin grin grin

Of course . . . I'm done with trying to pass across my message. I reckon you're smart enough to know I'm no more taking you serious.

Now be predictable and post another fifteen paragraphs about how you're loving this again grin grin grin

Surely you are by your respond? Not only will you twist people's word, but now you appear to be pretending. undecided Why respond if you are not taking me serious like you claim huh

Oh gosh, it was gone by the time it hit you. Sarcasm. Go back and read my post. I am neither laughing or bursting my veins sir. Jeez. I am more or less watching you go along the lines of what I predicted.

Once again you are telling me what to do. **shakes head** Some things will never change. May be you should take a look in the mirror?

Chrisbenogor:
It sucks that the log in your eye is preventing you from seeing the bigger picture, are people suffering because other tribes are lording on them I have been asking countless number of times, the Niger delta governors steal more than their counterparts, would breaking up the country solve this problem? no? heck no!
Simply say we should practice true federalism and even though I do not think it is the answer to our question it is a step in the right direction but not the holy grail nonetheless.
Dude. Don't get mad at this. I have answered enough question and posted enough views on this particular issue you are saying. You may want to check the Original thread [the one with the poll asking if Nigeria should break up etc] It is about 29 pages or so long now and I contributed from page one to about 17 or so. Plenty post of mine in there for you to read.

It gets tiring going round and round in circles. Before you ask any question, pause and think it is higly likely that one person don ask am before and plenty answer don follow. smiley

Here is a simple answer. A break up will see a new dawn and give the people the feeling of hope. That in itself is very powerful. Now, depending on how the break up is - whether war is involved or not - It will bring home some truth to the people.

The resulting break away region will be much more manageable. The current system in which Nigeria operate is a fraud [Something already explained in the thread I am asking you to read. Look out for a post by "Beaf"]. Each region can decide how to manage effectively their own growth, development, etc. Less number in population will mean a more manageable one etc. For more answers, read the original thread. Thank you. smiley

Who is joking?

Ofoka is my right hand man. He will forward the bank account for you and once the deposit is confirmed, you will get his number and emails. Shekayna.

By the way:

KeKe Ogungbe changes his number a lot, so that will cost you a lot.

Ayo Animashaun have his number up to date, but no email.

The other person I do not have for now. But promise to look into you for it.

Ofoka send am the Bank account details.

You've learnt your lesson. . . I told you I've closed your file, I've got to deal with sum retard that's dissing Alex Song.
I know you won't spew that kind of B.S again . . . all this is just you trying to save face.
Again, you are STILL doing exactly like I analysed and predicted - Talking about having the upper hand or some drivel along those lines.

Sorry, what lesson can you MANDY teach me? How to be a toy thing or how to suck hard as Dyson. Or better still, show me how to twist people's word and demonstrate your long e.pen!s. What a joke. Perhaps the question is if there was ever a lesson in the first place. Dude, I stand by every post I made in this thread, you are just not getting it are you?

How deluded do one have to get to even make such post on a forum. shocked I guess one should never underestimate the power of stupidity and egomaniac all wrapped in the body of one person - Eldee. shocked

Please quit giving excuses. I am enjoying this. What more do you have to say? smiley

I am not the one trying to safe face here. If anything, you are the one who seem to be begging for support indirectly and trying to save face by claiming you "shred someone apart" "you taught someone a lesson" etc.

Yawn. Jeez. Please ginger you post next time.  It lacks swagger and less stimulating with each one. Yawn.  And I mean a big yawn.
Music/RadioRe: Who's Celebrity Slang Do You Like The Most? by ElRazur: 12:56pm On Mar 20, 2010
@eldee

Just like I thought, running out of steam.

It is funny to see how you have let your ego get the better off you. You have missed my point and instead posted many irrelevant stuff.

Here is an analysis of your post so far:

Sees ElRazur's post, get Hot.
Tell me what I can do or not do.
When that fails, you result to your last card of insult.
And when they do not work you twist my word.
When that STILL DO NOT WORK you look for support.
Then finally, you claim victory and what not.

What a joke. Eldee, your best post are nothing but dandruffs on my shoulder. All I do is dust them off.

Yes I called you Mandy, because I enjoy toying with you.
Yes I Called you dyson and Henry because you suck hard.

Who am I to tell a man who believe there is a yellow lamboghini on his lawn and only him can see it otherwise? Meaning? Who am I to tell you that you "tear me apart" in a debate. Nah you prerogative and wahala. Not mine.

You talked about it isn't about  winning or losing yet in the same post mention tearing me apart. Oh dear.  Dyson did it again.

In the mean time, will Mandy come and ginger my swagger?
Music/RadioRe: Who's Celebrity Slang Do You Like The Most? by ElRazur: 11:52am On Mar 20, 2010
eldee:
So because I left the matter you then decided that you had the right to keep spewing drivel??
Your ego getting the better of you? Perhaps you should take a look again at your own post. It won't be hard to spot the drivel.

Yeah, Be an Elrazur . . . mix matters just to confuse everyone.
You said you didn't see a link between 'ginger' and 'increase' . . . I said it was hypocritical for you to say that and agree that 'crack' or 'lame' . . . words I've hear you use.
Neutral stance?? You are yet to ridicule??
'Street-word drivel from imbeciles trying to be cool?' Is that how they say 'hi' where you come from??
I warned you not to let you sentiments get the better part of you . . . see what you made yourself look like.
Thank God I am not an Eldee [Yuck] - I am the boss, do as I say and when I present lame argument do not dare challenge it.

My sentence was aimed more at the Americans rappers. But you took it on your self to be Voltron. Remember?

I expect anyone reading my post to have an IQ of at least 70.
When I say it's adapted or Nigerian-ish, I expect you know what that meant.
I'll just assume that you're doing this to be irritating . . . I don't want to put you on the same level as Ofoka.
In a forum, the rule of engagement is to make yourself clear - Your post clear and not "assume" someone will know what you are talking about.  Irritating? That is a new one. I am more like HIV - Here to stay.

Hmmn . . . I'll use a UK-resident that thinks Nigerian slangs are street drivel as my sample space??
You are a very smart man . . . Imperial or UCL??
huh The price of tea in china and the war in somalia. Me no see link. huh

MJ was a trap . . . you fell in smoothly.
I heard you say 'but that's American English' . . . and I just laughed, along with everyone else reading this thread.
In your opinion 'beat it' makes perfect sense, but sumn from Warri/Benin should be outlawed.
You are a joke.
Again the joke is really on you. You brought in an example, I mentioned how it was possibly from a type of English saying. How that is a trap and I fell into it is beyond me.

It is beat weak, that you see the need to indirectly draw others to this, are you running out of steam? Please don't it can be fun. Heck it is fun.

Once again twisting my word sucks. Tell me where I have stated it should be outlawed? Again, quit thinking things in your head.

'Liver' and 'ginger' in the informal-Nigerian context serve similar purposes.
They are both adapted words. . .same with 'rake/rant', 'aggro/desire for intimacy', 'send/care'  in urban-UK we have 'creps/trainers', 'jam/hang out' . . .adapted words don't have to make sense to you. . . as long as they serve the role of in-house communication between members of the same social group.
Yawn. The point remains it is an almost meaningless phrase. There is really no direct relation of the original word with the meaning. Ginger - Plant/Colour etc. How is that relating to the translation?  So yes I stand my original post it is almost a meaningless phrase.

Everyone in Warri and Benin knows what that means . . . it's managed to spread round Nigeria, just because sum faceless negro on the internet thinks it's street-drivel doesn't mean poo.
So it is a colloquial word is what you are trying to say?  As with colloquial word they usually do not go hand-in-hand with what they mean. I suppose this takes you back to square one - It is almost a meaningless phrase.

I don't care bout how 'ginger' came to mean 'increase' . . . you were trying to defend 'beat it', which is completely meaningless in it's composition too.
But you didn't accuse it of 'damaging English language'.
If it's not clear already . . . you have no point.
You mean you have nothing to say to the point I raised. Nice. I am not gonna talk about Beat it, who knows, it could be a trap again [Insert BIG MASSIVE ROLL EYES SMILEY HERE]. Refer back to my what I said to you before if still in doubt. grin

And you felt the need to tell me this because . . .?? undecided undecided
I am guessing since you expect a IQ of 70 from anyone reading your post, I guess yours should be significantly higher and in the region of those in the MENSA club or something. Anyway, the point I am telling you that is while both are almost meaningless phrases "what it do" is the better of the two evils.
I suck?? that's your argument . . . 'You suck'??
Dude . . . I didn't care about this thread till you came here to say 'street drivel from imbeciles'.
I was supposed to let you seat in your living room and spew fuckery about words that are part of everyday Nigerian culture.
Yes, You suck is a statement. Why? You keep making things up in your head and making assumptions.

Yes I stand by my word a meaningless phrase is nothing but Street drivel.  Bite me.

No, come and get me in my living room then. Jeez! Remember you are Voltron or to put it bluntly another internet Egomaniac who think he can tell people what to say and what to do. You know, another Keyboard warrior.

As I said . . . I don't care bout how 'ginger' became 'increase' just like you don't care bout how 'crack' or 'beat it' were modified.
So goes back to what I said before "almost meaningless phrase". Thank for confirming that.

But just because you don't understand it doesn't mean crap . . . I don't care if you grew up in Okitipupa, you have no right to insult me for modification of English for catchy and effective communication in Nigeria.
Where is the insult. Perhaps I missed the memo.

So you've decided to hold on to 'subjectivity' now?? This just keep getting better.
If you're gonna spew fuckery, make sure it's not a topic Eldee is interested in. . .simples.
You know what . . . report to moderator if you feel choked.
Oh yeah, that's me. tongue tongue
No I am reminding Voltron or the Keyboard warrior that I can post what I want, how I want and when I want and guess what you can't do not monkeys about it.

Like I said emotions and ego, but thanks for confirming it.

You keep repeating yourself when it's obvious that you have a problem with modern Nigerian artists.
Diss them for poor stage control, cool . . . diss them for wack beats, cool . . . diss them for having ugly chics in videos, I don't care . . . but to spew bollocks about use of Nigerian words in videos?? I'm not gonna let you do that.
I am repeating myself when it is obvious you missed my point and will rather go on a wanking session over my post.  I have no problem with words. Get it? I have issues with "almost meaningless phrase".  Next please.

Oh my dayzzz!!! This is pure 1mol conc desperation. shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked
Is this how low you've gone just to defend the B.S you dropped??
I remember when I quoted this Modenine line on a thread about dissing and you dismissed it as B.S. . .and now it's what you're holding on too??
No! My post said it was "an elementary form of word play". While it is elementary, it still have meaning and not lost in translation or almost a meaningless phrase. Please tell me how that is calling something bullshit. Jeez. You suck.
I consider my job here done . . .
I am actually enjoying this. Mandy please don't go. I promise to be a good boy next time. **Pulls down pants for spanking** grin

@ ElRazur
Another disturbing FACT is that people like you will sit your behind far away in the UK, having fun making beats and advocating a Nigeria Break Up via your internet forums when you have the slightest idea of what is going on here in Nigeria.
Can I have source to this fact please? Yeah I make beat as a hobby, I guess that is all I do. Nice. Again this is not about advocating, this is about stating the obvious.

your claim that a majority what a break up only show how deluded and confused you are. Ask the average Alaba trader or roadside roasted plantain seller about this your proposed "break up" gospel and you will be stunned with there responses.
So you have spoken to all traders at alaba? huh The joke is on you. The average Nigerian will want a better Nigeria even if it means trying a different approach as splitting up. 50years in a life time is enough to convince anyone to try a different approach if the same way never worked. Where is your logic? huh

Boy here is an advice for you, stick to your beat making and stop all this noise ranting about a majority wanting a break up.  undecided
Are you getting worried that people may actually want a different approach? If so, then I am keeping exactly what you do not want up. smiley

I have never seen someone so afraid of change like this ever before.

sleek_p:
I stopped seeing sense with these internet warriors long time ago. They stay very very far away and threaten fire and brimstone. As some here said, if you trully think a divide is the answer to all our problems then come home and lead the "Biafran" or "Oduduwa"army.
The logic you are employing is flawed. When war happens, the people who actually lead the nation to war are never at the forefront. While I am not leading anyone, it sucks that you can even think in such manner.

War can be fought in many wars - Propaganda, Finance, Support, Sympathy etc. We do not all have to be at the war-front to make a change happen. Just the same way every one do not have to be a doctor for a hospital to run effectively. Kai. Nah wah o.

People like you do nothing but paint the vivid picture of what Fela said "my people sef dey fear too much/them even fear the air around them.    .    .     .    " always one excuse or the other.

The fact is Change do not come cheap. People will die and lives will be lost. If it happens to be my life and those of my immediate family in the process then so be it. But bear in mind, we will not be at the fore-front.

Since when did people like you constitute more and more people eh? Where is your own poll? People want a better Nigeria true, but breaking this country up is a whole new kettle of fish. Yes I agree that the igbos would not be silly enough to fight another war
It sucks when people cannot see the bigger picture. Millions of people are suffering in a land of plenty and the general indication - NOT MINE - is that people have had enough and will try a different approach. How hard is it to understand this?

A poll is meaningless on Nairaland, haven't you heard?

When it comes to "breaking up" [gosh the dreaded word] there are various option. One could be having Autonomous region etc. While it is not the kind of breaking you seem to think, it is still a form of "breaking up" if you see what I mean.

While the Igbo may perhaps not want another war, they surely do want their own break away region or state of Biafra. smiley

I am not gonna argue this morning, but it may be worth mentioning that in my years of listening to hiphop, "what it do" is not a phrase that I will say it is frequently used or I have come across in the past 10 years or so. It is only recently that it appears more and more people are using it.

I grew up in the following places - Kano, Kaduna, Abuja, Lokoja, Ilorin, Ekiti, Lagos - so my Pidgin is as diverse as you can get. I learnt more in Pidgin in Lokoja than any other place.

You may have missed my point which is I dislike the almost meaningless phrases that is used, but I will however pick Pidgin [Naija/W.Africa one] any time [For good reasons].

It will be nice to visit warri, passed through a few times but will like to leave there for a little time. smiley

I suppose since you lack any logical arguments to bring up, it is necessary to twist people's post and talk more trash.

For the record, what I do requires loads of things. For example, some of these involve machines that cost money and they require electricity to work. I suppose people like you feel comfortable working in an under-productive environment? Well, people like me don't. That is the difference between you and me.

I don't even know why I am wasting my time explaining things to you. Your post is nothing but bitterness at your inability to present proper debate. Have a good day sir.

Yeah . . . and I'm saying you pointing this out and not that of the Americans is extremely hypocritical.
When we do it . . . it's bad, when they do it . . . it makes the Oxford Advanced learners dictionary with an '[sl]' by the side.
huh How can it be hypocritical when in my original post that appears to have touched your nerve made mention of "what it do"?  huh Please don't make this a "Us and them" issue. Shall we deal with the issue at hand.

If what you're doing is just a direct effort to ridicule youths of my country who have done no wrong whatsoever, then I do have a right to comment.
That is your prerogative, your problem not mine. Next time, perhaps approaching a debate with a more neutral stance is better? I am yet to ridicule anyone like you are saying, but pointing out how a phrase is almost meaningless. But if it rocks your boat, be my guest.
It is a word from English that has long being adapted into pidgin English/informal Nigerian English.
It's been there before Terry G . . . it'll still be used after Terry G.
So you agree it is a borrowed word? That is not so hard to say you see. smiley

Believe me, it hits perfectly well with most Nigerians. . . wanna hold a poll??
Really? Seriously really? Perhaps a true measure is right here - we are having this debate!

The fact that it doesn't mean anything to you doesn't mean poo . . . 'Beat it' before MJ didn't mean anything to the average Nigerian.
It can get tiring bickering back and fourth. You brought MJ into it. I do not get your point any more.

'My liver fail me', 'face me I face you', 'Tear you slap' and many phrases like that mean nothing to non-nigerians.
I recognise those and know what they mean. However, the original phrase is almost meaningless. And while they are generated from cross-language translation I really do not see how "Ginger your swagger" can be said to be in the same league as this. A point you appear to be missing.

'What it do' is meaningless to you . . . why?? You didn't grow up in Brooklyn.
That is just one funny post. Here, let me show you. I grew up in Nigeria but then I do not understand the meaning of "Ginger your swagger" or how it arrived at the translation you gave. What does that say about the very phrase you are defending?  shocked It goes back to my stance, it is almost meaningless.

For the record, "what it do" is easier to work out the meaning than "ginger your swagger".

Nah, there are rules . . . but those rules are decided by the majority not you sitting on the internet and trying to tell Nigerians how to speak their own language.

Besides, you base your rules on the dictionary, which is the exact system they oppose.
You suck to be honest. Again you making things up in your head and assuming them as my own stance makes you suck.
Who is making the rules here? From my post, I haven't made any rules or force my view on anyone. If anything, you are the one who seem to come across as to how people should post and what they can say around here etc. Jeez, you suck.

Before you get in a fit again, here is a little reminder - The phrase is almost meaningless and how you arrived at the translation is just not adding up [Not saying your translation is wrong, but how it was put together to arrive at that is just not clicking]

Call me Voltron
tongue tongue tongue
No, will call you Mandy and spank your arse. I hope that makes you feel better. grin

As I said, quit being overly critical of these guys without any justifiable reason and I won't disturb you.
Last time I checked, it was a public forum.

What do you call a justifiable reason? Gosh, are you me? All these self-ordained missions sucks to be honest. But I guess you work at Dyson and Henry, so it should be expected.

As I said before, I'm defending Nigerian youths and their freedom to communicate in whatever language they like.
I don't come here to tell you not to use txtglish do I??
Do you have the latest Dyson hoover, because this quote of yours sucks real hard. How have I attacked Nigerian youths [Something I am part of] huh I suppose this is your letting your "do as I say because I am Mandy" is getting the better of you? Omo take a chill pill, back away from the pc for a little while. My only criticism so far have been the use of phrase that is almost meaningless, and not any of those things you are claiming. Nah wah o.

Meaning is lost?? Tell that to the guys that use it in everyday speech.
"Meaning is almost lost", is not the same as "meaning lost" If the play of word is about showing what can be done to show wit etc, then this particular phrase failed hence why I said the "meaning is almost lost". A good word play is Adis Abeba and I diss a baba that was famously used in a diss song. Now the meaning was never lost on anyone in that.

Sorry, but na jeje I post. But  my post is perceived as looking for trouble. With little emphasis on what am actually saying.

Do I get tired? No one likes to bicker, but sometimes you have to do so.

Same way I'm yet to see a link between 'w*nk' and 'self-service' or 'crack' and 'cocaine'
Different areas adapt English words to suit them . . . it's not a crime.
Good for you. My point remains, I am yet to see a link, surely that is not a crime?

I'm not saying you shouldn't be critical, I'm saying you shouldn't trade reason for an attempt to criticize.
You're not doing it for me, you're doing it for you.
'Ginger' is urban Nigerian English too. . . same way 'Harmattan' is Ghanaian.
Really? Again, may be I should post what you want. God forbid [again] I have my own way of posting?  You damn right, I am doing because it is me. Perhaps you should take a step back a little and quit trying to tell me or suggest what I can and can not?

No Ginger is a borrowed word and not urban Nigerian English.

'Add baby spice ginger to your swagger' is just a play on words. . . I don't see anything wrong with that.
Play of words or not, the meaning is not coming across well - something that should not be so in play of words. While I appreciate you may not see anything wrong with it. I just feel it is almost a meaningless phrase, and in the same class as "What it do nigger" et al.

At the end of the day, it's informal English. . .
We own this one, this is where the lecturers don't control . . . it's a blank dictionary, a pragmatic way to communicate.
So you are saying there is no rule, but try and then when I point out things I disagree with, you flare up? Kai, I have to ginger my swagger at this rate.

Why don't you go join the anti-txtglish campaigners and leave Nigerian English alone.
'Ginger your swagga' is pidgin . . . BTW
I didn't realise you are the defenders of all things Nigerian English. We learn something new everyday. How about you quit trying to tell me what I can and cannot?  huh

While it may be pidgin, the composition is poor and it makes the meaning almost lost. Surely, it is a poor take on word play, composition etc hence why there is this debate [s]plus the fact that my posts makes you Hot[/s]. grin
