Why are people attacking her anyway? People dream for the best things for themselves and she's no exception. Or is it a crime to want a better life for herself? |
The mother wants fame for her son. But that's not what the boy NEEDS at the moment. He needs to hone his skills to perfection quietly. His work will speak for itself when the time is ripe. |
That was a near miss for Nigeria. Saved by sheer luck. I imagine an Atiku presidency and I develop goose bumps. |
Excaperx:Such unadulterated drivel and ignorance. So, Obama removed Jonathan? Wait, lemme guess, Donald Trump blocked Atiku from winning the elections, right? Lol. |
advocate666:Religiosity is different from Spirituality. The former is not encouraged while the latter is highly praised and to be totally pursued. |
muyoge:You are absolutely wrong. He didn't "bring" GSM into Nigeria. It was a technological innovation just gaining grounds across the globe. Most countries also accepted this technology at about the same time. It's just like saying Goodluck Jonathan brought the internet to Nigeria. Meanwhile, while Egypt demanded that the company producing the mobile phones should come and produce it in their country, Nigerian senators and representatives members were busy jostling and hustling for license to import mobile phones into Nigeria. Nigerian Telecommunications, NITEL was unbundled and sold during Obasanjo era by his VP, Atiku. What has become of that national asset today? How many Nigerians are in its employ? You also mentioned power. Obasanjo released 16 BILLION DOLLARS to fix Nigeria's epileptic power supply. How far with that? You talk of security. Were Nigerians better secured then than now? The police meant to protect have always been a trigger-happy lot, even during Obasanjo's time, killing commercial drivers all because of 20 bucks. I won't even mention spares of political assassinations, kidnappings, ritual killings etc. Odi village was wiped clean off the map of Nigeria at the orders if Obasanjo. Obasanjo ceded part of Nigeria away to Cameroon. Till today, the people of Bakassi are living like refugees in their own country. Their lands taken away from them. Is that security? I'd better stop here. |
tete7000:Probably. |
advocate666:And who says I can't believe that? When scientists tell us that there's an actual planet where it rains diamonds. Nothing is impossible! Having faith isn't willful ignorance. There are things you don't know and you just have faith that it's true until your intellectual mind can comprehend the truth being asserted by your spiritual mind. An example on the physical plane would be you accepting that indeed you breathe in oxygen and breathe out CO2 despite never haven seen both Oxygen and CO2 before. You trust and have faith in the scientific process that has propounded this theory even if your mind cannot grasp it yet. It is faith that makes us accept gravity even if we don't see it. If man were to rely only on knowledge, he won't go very far. It is faith and not knowledge that has made science indebted to philosophers over the ages. Faith and reason, Fides et Ratio are two inseparable companions. Faith is not the absence of reason. Reason isn't the absence of faith. That we can't understand the nature of God or how He can come to be doesn't mean He doesn't exist. It means our minds cannot grasp it...yet. That we can't see Him doesn't mean He doesn't exist, otherwise we'd be like little kids in our approach to life. The only reason why mankind hasn't developed past this stage is because of its insistence on placing more emphasis on physics instead of metaphysics. The earlier we understand that science cannot explain everything, the better for us as a race. |
Always do your thing. Haters will always form a committee regardless. |
Sorry dear girl. I hope you recover totally from the physical and psychological wounds. |
advocate666:Not saying much. Faith has its place, so does knowledge. The two are not mutually exclusive. |
advocate666:So what exactly are you saying? ![]() |
So what happens to the water used to boil or you allow it to get burnt a little? ![]() |
Biingoo: |
Biingoo:You sound like Bingo my pet dog. |
Process of natural selection. Nothing to cry over here even if I won't say "serves him right". |
advocate666:And what knowledge do you possess that suggests or proves beyond every reasonable doubt the fact that intelligent life can and did evolve from unintelligent life form? |
advocate666:I would have thought that the person who believes that an intelligent life can evolve from a non-intelligent life is the one with limited intelligence here... |
As tough as it sounds you should have told her point blank, straight up albeit nicely that you don't feel the same way. Leading her on all in the name of not wanting to hurt her will eventually hurt her even more deeply than if you'd been blunt the first time. Now, you're going to turn into a jerk with her cos she's going to wonder why you led her on. Don't get into a relationship out of pity. If you're going to let her down, do so gently. You could tell her anything to make it sting less. You could tell her that you just broke off an engagement with your fiancée and you're trying to get over that and you're not exactly ready to jump into a relationship yet. Or you could let her know that long distance relationship is hard and you don't have any plans to go back to Nigeria for a while. If you phrase your excuse in a realistic manner and you make it sound like it's your issue and not her, them she won't feel undesirable. She will respect you as an honourable man. |
Just look at the name of the spokesman Mr Dickson IROEGBU. We know where they are coming from. Chief wailers from the land of the rising sun. |
Nigeria beauty pageant? You can have two for a dollar. Every girl in Nigeria is either a beauty queen or a make-up artist. Makeup artists are still hardworking and much more preferable to upcoming w.hores masquerading as beauty pageants. Beautiful girls don't go for pageants. |
The guy is truly an iced fish. And I'm just looking at stvpid nairalanders who are going to agree with him. People with low self-esteem. You'd think Caucasians were perfect. |
PDP - Party of Demonic People |
Sirflex147:Oh really? How did he end the military rule twice? |
prettyliz:Ask him for me |
Larry456:If you say so. I hope they use the extra time wisely. |
NLModsAreStupud:If so, then that particular seed seems to have been a waste. But who am I to judge since his earthly life hasn't ended yet. He had the opportunity to put Nigeria on the path of greatness. He botched it. Nigeria can never forgive him. |
NLModsAreStupud:How so? |
tommyken:Yeah, thanks. Forgot his name. |
Hmmm... True talk. Op, you need to realise that most of the urchins jumping around online were only born 20 years ago. So they have no recollection of what you narrated. If some people are shown the history of their people in Nigeria, most of them will deactivate out of shame. |
that American president in the second pic. Looks so much like "Colleen Sweeney", the wife killer in TGW. |
